Archbishop Hoser giving his homily on April 1, 2017 – St. James Church

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5TH
PRESS CONFERENCE BY PAPAL ENVOY IN
MEDJUGORJE STREAMED LIVE BY MARY TV!

4pm Medj time (10am EDT)

On April 1, 2017, the Papal Envoy to Medjugorje, Archbishop Henryk Hoser said during his homily in St. James church in Medjugorje: “We need a heavenly intervention.  And the presence of the Blessed Mother is one of these interventions. It is God’s initiative.  Therefore, I would like to encourage and fortify all of you on behalf of the Pope, as his emissary!”
See: http://marytv.tv/?cat=5
It is probably only a coincidence that on that same day, April 1, 2017, the Holy Father moved responsibility for Catholic shrines from the Congregation for the Clergy to the Congregation for the Promotion of the New Evangelization, stating that shrines, as sacred places, are especially suitable for conversion and the strengthening of faith. The tasks of the congregation, he said, will include the establishment of new and national and international shrines.

Tell family and friends – spread to everyone in your email address book – that MaryTV.tv will live stream the Papal Envoy’s press conference from Medjugorje this Wednesday, April 5, 2017 (4pm Medjugorje time, 10am EDT in the US) ….

And let’s pay close attention to the message Our Lady gave us this past weekend:

“Dear children!  Apostles of my love, it is up to you to spread the love of my Son to all those who have not come to know it; you, the little lights of the world, whom I am teaching with motherly love to shine clearly with full brilliance. Prayer will help you, because prayer saves you, prayer saves the world…Pray with feeling for your shepherds so that they can witness my Son with love. Thank you.”(April 2, 2017)

God bless you,
Denis

Archbishop Hoser giving his homily on April 1, 2017 – St. James Church

Dear Mary TV Family,

“We need a heavenly intervention.  And the presence of the Blessed Mother is one of these interventions. It is God’s initiative.  Therefore, I would like to encourage and fortify all of you on behalf of the Pope, as his emissary.”

Archbishop Henryk Hoser, Pope Francis’ Envoy to Medjugorje

April 1, 2017 Homily in Medjugorje

Here is the transcript of Archbishop Hoser’s homily:

(Onsite translation to English by the Parish)

Dear Brothers and Sister! I will speak in French. Excuse me, I haven’t yet learned the beautiful Croatian language. We have gathered around the altar on the 5th week of Lent. There are two more weeks dividing us from Easter. In one week it is already Palm Sunday. And in two weeks we are going to celebrate at the end of Holy Week the greatest Christian feast day, the Feast of the Resurrection.

The Word of God that we have heard today, speaks of resurrection. And shows us three perspectives of resurrection, three views. The first one is historic. We know that Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Son of Man lived on this planet in the Holy Land of Palestine. We also know that it was announced by prophets that He was going to be born. Just like the Prophet Ezekiel who we heard today. He brings the words of God who is telling us “I am going to open your graves, and I will lift you up, and he repeats, I will raise you up from your graves. That is a prophecy. He already sees the arrival of the Messiah. We know that Jesus died and rose from the dead. That is the foundation of our faith. Without that foundations of resurrection, our faith would be empty.

The second point of view is liturgical. It is the path of Lent. During 40 days we are going to pray and we continue to pray. We fasted and we shall continue to fast. We have become more generous towards other and we will continue to do more in the future. The spirituality of Lent is very well known here. You know it very well. Therefore, the Liturgical path that is preparing us to reach the third perspective, is the perspective of our life.

A life of each one of us. We live for resurrection. We march toward resurrection. We shall go through death in order to resurrect. The final goal of our earthly life is resurrection. During this path we are to resurrect. Already on a way on that final perspective our conversion is part of resurrection. Jesus says and repeats about the death of the body, but He also speaks of the death of soul. The death of the soul is far more serious, a far greater threat, because in that case we might die for the whole of eternity.

Therefore, each time when we could continue to convert ourselves, we are turning ourselves towards God who is the truth, who is life, who is the path. He is the source of eternal life. It is directing us towards love, because God is love. It’s love that makes us alive. It is merciful love that brings us inner peace and the joy of life. But there are two conditions. The first is faith. Jesus, before performing miracles demanded faith, faith in Him that He could do it. “Lord, I believe in You! I truly believe!” And that faith opens our heart for conversion, and opens our heart through the Sacramental Confession that is mercy itself. Our hearts are opened up through confession, they are purified, and opened up to the Holy Spirit and they are filled by it by the Holy Trinity.

Christ confirms to us in the Book of Revelations, He says that He is standing at the door of our heart, knocking on it. And if the Most Holy Trinity dwells in us we become the temple of God.

I would like to return to the historic perspective of resurrection. In the days ahead of us we are going to read in the gospel, we are going to see that Jesus’ enemies are throwing their nets around Jesus, threatening Jesus more every day. He knows it, He is aware of it, He knows that which the disciples don’t know. There is someone who follows Him on that path of suffering, that Passion. It is the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is always near. She suffers with Him. She feels her helplessness. Saint John Paul II said it was her faith. Often we call Blessed Mother, “Our Lady of Sorrows’. Throughout her life she suffered so much pain. And her suffering grows together with Jesus’ Passion all the way to the foot of His Cross, on the Way of the Cross. At the 4th station, we meditate Jesus carrying His cross and encountering His mother. And the gospel tells us that she was the witness of His horrifying death on the Cross. In her own arms she received the massacred body of her Son. The Christian tradition says that before Mary of Magdalene, Mary, the Mother of Christ, encountered the risen Christ.

In the perspective of the life of each one of us, the perspective of resurrection, of course the Blessed Mother is there as well. She accompanies us, she follows us, she participates in our suffering and our pain. If we live in the perspective of God, she is helping us to be saved. She is helping us on our path of conversion. And we have to experience that spiritual presence of hers. We call her especially here, the Queen of Peace. In the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, there are some twelve titles in which we call her Queen. And Queen of Peace is last.

Mary is Queen. When we contemplate the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary, we speak of her as Queen of Heaven and Earth. We meditate upon her Assumption as well as her Crowning as Queen of Heaven and Earth. She participates in all the characteristics of the Kingship of her Son, the one who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. His Kingdom is universal. She is everywhere and we are allowed to praise her and revere her everywhere. We thank her for her constant presence in the life of each one of us, she is by each one of us always present. Queen of Peace, it is the fruit of conversion. She brings peace into our hearts and thus we become peaceful people, peaceful with our families, with our environment, our governments, our societies.

Peace in the world is threatened. Pope Francis, Holy Father, says that the Third World War is partially already here. And the most terrible are the civil wars, those that take place among people who live in the same country. Dear brothers and sisters, I lived for 21 years in Rwanda. Africa. In 1982 Our Lady was appearing there. And she predicted the genocide in Rwanda, 10 years before it actually happened. When she gave that message, no one understood it. In this genocide, in three months, one million people were slaughtered. The apparitions of Blessed Mother in Rwanda were already recognized. She introduced herself as the Mother of the Eternal Word. Also in the perspective of the lack of peace, therefore that call that is so intense here, is so important for the whole world!! We pray for peace, because destructive forces are tremendous throughout the world. It is tragic that families, societies, marriages, countries, are in conflict. We need a heavenly intervention. And the presence of the Blessed Mother is one of these interventions. It is God’s initiative. Therefore, I would like to encourage and fortify all of you on behalf of the Pope, as his emissary. (translator weeps and thanks Jesus and applause in church)

Spread throughout the world, peace, through the conversion of hearts. The greatest miracle of Medjugorje are the confessions here. The Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mercy, forgiveness. It is the Sacrament of Resurrection. And I want to thank all the priests who come here to hear confessions of the faithful. I have seen today over 60 priests available for confession, serving the people of God. I have spent many years in Western Countries, France, Belgium…and I would say that Confession, individual confession, practically has disappeared in the Western world with the exception of here and there. Therefore, the heart of man is closed. The world is becoming dry. Evil is strengthening. Conflicts are multiplied. Therefore, let us all be the apostles of the Good News, Conversion and Peace in the world.

As I have learned here, I have heard these words: Non-believers are those who have not yet experienced the love of God. When love and mercy of God touches you, you cannot resist it. Therefore, we are going to participate together with those who save lives, we are witnesses of those who are saving lives. As the Franciscans said, there are pilgrims coming from at least 80 different countries throughout the world. This calling has been spread to the ends of the world, just as Jesus said to the Apostles, sending them to the ends of the world. You are witnesses of the love of Christ, and the love of His Mother, and love of the Church. May God fortify you in faith and bless you! (Standing ovation!)

“Faithful Await Vatican Verdict on Medjugorje:

Cardinal Francis Arinze, whose new book about Marian veneration will be released this month, tells the Register ‘it’s not so simple’ for Rome to rule on the matter.”

It’s puzzling that the March 14, 2017 National Catholic Register article (headline above) didn’t cite anyone who was well-informed on Medjugorje.  The principal sources for the story were veteran anti-Medjugorje partisans Donel Foley and Bishop Ratko Peric (see: http://marytv.tv/?cat=5 ).  Perhaps things are “not so simple” because articles like this amplify and propagate the confusion they themselves create.

In an older variation of their assault on the apparition, Foley and Peric wield as their weapon early transcripts of conversations with the visionaries.

These transcripts are “the key to understanding Medjugorje,” Foley believes, as they “reveal the serious problems with accepting the visions as genuinely supernatural,” an aspect he highlighted in his book.  Foley hopes that more people will pay attention to them, and he would like the Vatican to publish “an agreed and authentic” multilingual version of the transcripts to help the ordinary faithful “better understand the phenomena of Medjugorje.”

What Foley does not mention, although he is well aware of it, is that the version of the transcripts he cites was produced at the beginning of the phenomenon by two local Communist Party members operating under orders to end the apparitions. The two members were the nephew and niece of Fr. Ivo Sivric, a Croatian priest who moved to the USA a long time ago.  When his relatives fell into disgrace for their efforts, Fr. Sivric sought to sabotage Medjugorje by publishing doctored versions of the transcript in English.  Foley, E. Michael Jones and others then built their whole case against Medjugorje around these transcripts.

The whole affair calls to mind the famous “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” produced by anti-Semites but publicized as having been written by Jews – and then used to justify attacks on the Jews. Anyone can write transcripts – and if it came from a declared enemy why should I trust them if I can’t listen to the actual tapes?

All this “he said-she said” kind of argument may have left the debate in the same situation as that reported by the Register if not for one major recent headline not mentioned in the story or by Foley, Peric, et al.  Authentic transcripts of the actual tape-recorded conversations were recently published as Medjugorje: The First Daysby Fr. James Mulligan.  The book has “a full, un-redacted transcript of 22 tape recorded interviews and on-the-spot commentaries with the visionaries.” A comparison between these transcripts and the snarky Sivric version not only exposes the deceit of the latter but also testifies to the transparency and innocence of the visionaries in the first days of the apparition! They support the authenticity of the apparition rather than the other way around as Foley-Peric would have us believe.

In an additional attempt to cast aspersions on these events, the article draws attention to what it thinks reveals Pope Francis’ negative opinion of Medjugorje:

Some believe he appeared to allude to the apparitions when, in a talk to 140 superiors general of male religious orders and congregations last November he said the real Madonna is not “at the head of a post office,” every day sending “a different letter that says, “my children, do this, and then the next day do that.”

It’s more likely the pope was referring to the apparitions in San Nicolas, Argentina, with which he is very familiar, and not Medjugorje.   After returning from Rome last week, Bishop Hugo Santiago, of San Nicolás, declared the on-going messages being given by Our Lady there could no longer be disseminated (March 18, 2017, “Crux”). In sharp contrast the pope is sending his personal envoy to Medjugorje next week to oversee the pastoral care of pilgrims who are coming from all over the world.  And the Papal envoy hasn’t concealed his joy! (“Archbishop Henryk Hoser to Aleteia: We should not be worried about Medjugorje!” Aleteia, March 15, 2017,

(Read Article)

The Register’s article notes:

For Cardinal Arinze, the pastoral effects of Medjugorje are “the most important thing.  If the effects are good,” he said, “we rejoice.”

Important for Cardinal Francis Arinze are the positive effects Medjugorje has had on the faithful who visit. “One point that is not doubted is that people who go there actually repent.  They actually go to confession, go to Mass — that is, they become better Christians…. So it is a shrine.”

On October 10, 2007 Cardinal Arinze thanked me for my book, “Medjugorje and the Church”.  “May God bless you for the great diligence put into producing this well-documented work which I shall read with great interest.”  For 25 years, readers of Catholic print media in the US have been bombarded with dishonest reporting on Medjugorje.  I suggest their readers take a look at my book (which carries a Nihil Obstat) to consider the other side.  (Medjugorje and the Church, Queenship Publishing)

March 9, 2017

The following may help those confused by a recent article written by the Bishop of Mostar-Duvno and posted on his Diocesan website on February 26, 2017, trying to bring an end to events taking place in his diocese – while at the same time the Pope is sending his envoy into his diocese to care for those events!

As the bishop of Warsaw-Prague (Poland) prepares to go to Medjugorje as the Pope’s special envoy, the Catholic media is spreading on-going attacks by the Bishop of Mostar against the authenticity of Our Lady’s apparitions there, even though the Secretary for the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith had clarified in an official directive dated May 26, 1998 (Pr. No. 54/81-06419) that Bishop Peric’s negative opinion “should be considered as the personal conviction of the Bishop of Mostar which he has the right to express as Ordinary of the place, but which is and remains his personal opinion.” For 19 years the Catholic media has ignored this directive. When “Our Sunday Visitor” published this clarification from the CDF in its January/February 2000, issue of “The Catholic Answer”, the phrase “but which is and remains his personal opinion,” was deleted. The Catholic answer it was not.

On October 9, 1998, five months after that announcement from the CDF, the Bishop of Mostar, Mons. Ratko Peric, went on record stating before witnesses that he had never met or spoken to any of the visionaries and that he didn’t believe in any apparition of Our Lady, specifically naming Fatima and Lourdes.  “I believe what I am required to believe – that is the dogma of the immaculate Conception which was issued four years before Bernadette’s alleged apparitions,” (witnessed in a sworn statement attested to by Fr. John Chisholm and Major General (ret.) Liam Prendergast; the bishop’s remarks were also published in the February 1, 2001, European newspaper, “The Universe”). Though the Catholic media in America would spread widely Bishop Peric’s June 15, 2006 demand for obedience and an end to the events of Medjugorje it gave little notice to the July 15, 2006 rebuke he received from Cardinal Pulic, the President of his Bishops’ Conference, (“Medjugorje and the Church”, Queenship, p. 183, 184).

Bishop Peric’s predecessor, Bishop Pavao Zanic, had a similar attitude towards Medjugorje as shown in the published interview with Gabriel Meyer (“National Catholic Register”, April 1, 1990): “What do you as bishop want to have happen in Medjugorje?  What could the Franciscans and the parishioners there do to work with you?”  Zanic leaned back in his chair: “Simple.  I want Medjugorje destroyed,” (“Medjugorje and the Church” Queenship, 2007, p. 183). On July 25, 1987, Bishop Zanic, with miter and crosier from the altar of St. James church in Medjugorje, condemned all those who purported that the Blessed Virgin Mary was appearing in Medjugorje “to the lowest place in hell.” (“He expected to see the parishioners revolt, but they silently listened to him with respect, in spite of the deep hurt they felt in their hearts,” (Fr. Rene Laurentin, “Seven Years of Apparitions” the Riehle Foundation, p, 7, 8).

Bishop Zanic had told Fr. Milan Mikulich, a native of Croatia and editor of “Orthodoxy of Catholic Doctrine” – one of the first priests to visit Medjugorje from America after the report of apparitions in June, 1981 – that if the Vatican didn’t accept his condemnation of the apparitions, “There will be a war in the Church!” Fr. Mikulich responded, “Bishop, I think you are fighting against Our Lady and not against the seers or the Franciscans in Medjugorje.” He replied: “If I lose there will be a war.” (Fr. Mikulich’s testimony was presented at the 1991 Medjugorje Conference at Notre Dame.) His successor, Bishop Peric, continues this same war. For example, when the Franciscan parish in Capljina was to be turned over to diocesan clergy, the bishop was advised to take several weeks, changing the priests gradually in order to make the change easier for parishioners. Instead, he removed all the Franciscans and staffed the parish with his diocesan clergy on the same day fanning the flames of an already tense situation. As he had been warned beforehand would happen, the parishioners revolted giving the example of disorder in his diocese that he wanted and has referred to ever since, (“Medjugorje and the Church, 2007, Queenship, p, 187).

An article in the January 6, 1991 issue of “Slobodna Dalmacija” quoting Archbishop Frane Franic, the President of the Doctrinal Commission of the Yugoslav Bishops Conference (BYC), was not spread in the English speaking world. Archbishop Franic reported on a November 27, 28, 1990 meeting of the BYC gathered in Zagreb in special session, preliminary to the Zadar meeting of April 10, 1991: “The bishops used this ambiguous sentence because they did not want to humiliate Bishop Pavao Zanic of Mostar who constantly claimed that Our Lady did not appear to the seers. When the Yugoslav Bishops discussed the Medjugorje issue, they told Bishop Zanic that the Church was not giving a final decision on Medjugorje and consequently his opposition was without any foundation. Hearing this, Bishop Zanic began to cry and to shout, and the rest of the bishops then quit any further discussion.” The result was dissemination of Bishop Zanic’s press release that he sent to the Italian Catholic News Service presenting his own version of that meeting: “Yugoslav Bishops Say Medjugorje Not Supernatural.”

On March 29, 2010, seven years before reporting that the Pope was sending a special envoy to Medjugorje, Rome Reports aired an initiative of Pope Benedict XVl: “Vatican Considering the Creation of a New Diocese for Medjugorje,” stating, “The project was proposed in September 2009, but it was not carried out due to the lack of support from the bishop of the area, Ratko Peric.”

On September 6, 2008, I received a letter from the Assessor to the Holy See, Monsignor Gabriele Caccia, thanking me for having sent the Holy Father the DVD “Medjugorje and the Mission of Mary TV”: “I am writing at the direction of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVl to acknowledge the receipt of your letter and gift.”  I had also thanked him for writing the introduction to Cardinal Bertone’s book, “The Last Secret of Fatima” expressing my gratitude that the Cardinal had included a chapter on Medjugorje.   “I am pleased to assure you of His Holiness’s gratitude.”  On August 13, 2008, the longtime secretary to Pope St. John Paul II, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, wrote to me: “I received your letter from July 25, 2008 with two DVD’s containing the programs of Medjugorje.  In fact, the Servant of God was very interested in Medjugorje, and sent Card. Joseph Ratzinger to know the theological position.”

On March 25, 1984 Pope John Paul II said, “Medjugorje is the fulfillment and continuation of Fatima!” (‘Medjugorje and the Church”, Queenship, p. ix), and on February 24, 1990: “Medjugorje is the spiritual center of the world!”  (“Why He Is a Saint: The Life and Faith of Pope John Paul ll and the Case for Canonization”, Msgr. Slawomir Oder, postulator for his Cause of Canonization; Rizzoli, 2010, p.168).

On December 8, 1992, Pope John Paul II wrote to his friend Marek Skwarnicki in Poland in his own hand: “I thank Sofia for everything concerning Medjugorje.  I too go there every day as a pilgrim in my prayers.  I unite in my prayers with all those who pray there or receive a call for prayer from there.  Today we have understood this call better.  I rejoice that our time is not lacking people of prayer and apostles!” (“John Paul ll: I send you Greetings and Bless You – The Pope’s Private Letters”, Swiat Ksiazki-Bertelsman Media Sp. Z.o.o., Warszwa, Poland, 2000 / and “Medjugorje and the Church”, Queenship, p. 153).

On April 6, 1995 Pope John Paul ll stated publicly: “I want to go to Medjugorje,” (Slobodna Dalmacija, April 8, 1995, p.3).

Several months before the Holy Father’s June 22, 2003, trip to Banja Luka in Bosnia, Zenit made public a report from the Holy See that he also wished to visit Mostar. Though the government had extended an invitation, local media reported the Bishop of Mostar’s response that it would be a mistake for the Pope to come into his diocese (as he told the media every time the Pope traveled to Croatia or Bosnia). And so the Holy Father had to content himself on that trip – his last to the country – with only visiting Banja Luka, the Serbian capital of Bosnia. Previously he had visited the Muslim capital, Sarajevo, twice. He was never able to visit Mostar, the Catholic capital of Bosnia. Bishop Ratko Peric, the Ordinary of the diocese that incorporates St. James Parish in Medjugorje, would not sanction Pope John Paul ll coming into his diocese.

The Blessed Mother is calling to us through her messages to pray for the shepherds, not to judge them.  She will triumph alongside them she tells us.   “Again I am warning you, pray for those whom my Son called, whose hands he blessed and whom He gave as a gift to you.  Pray, pray, pray for your shepherds.  Thank you,” (April 2, 2013).  “My apostles, pray for your Church, love and do works of love.  No matter how betrayed or wounded, it is here because it comes from the Heavenly Father.  Pray for your shepherds so that in them you may see the greatness of the love of my Son.  Thank you,” (June 2, 2016).

Dear Apostles of the Gospa,

Scripture tells us to “stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness.” (Eph. 6:12)

Witches, pagans and Satanists have made public they will be “praying” tonight during the last American presidential debate to protect their sacrament, Satan’s sacrament in America:  abortion.   Apostles of the Gospa of Medjugorje, pray your rosary tonight while the debate is taking place (October 19, 8:30pm EDT).

Our Lady has told us: “… I want you to obey me and not permit Satan to seduce you. Dear children, Satan is very strong and, therefore, I ask you to dedicate your prayers to me so that those who are under his influence can be saved. Give witness by your life. Sacrifice your lives for the salvation of the world. I am with you, and I am grateful to you, but in heaven you shall receive the Father’s reward which He has promised to you. Therefore, dear children, do not be afraid. If you pray, Satan cannot injure you even a little bit because you are God’s children and He is watching over you. Pray and let the rosary always be in your hand as a sign to Satan that you belong to me!” (February 25, 1988)

God bless you

Denis

PS. I remember in the latter 80’s when I was on a Medjugorje speaking tour on the West Coast…. a story Mary Lyle told me as she was driving me through Oregon up to Seattle.   Her friend Linda had children in the first grade.   New Age books promoting witchcraft were being introduced into the curriculum at their school.  Mary and Linda decided to sit in the front row at the PTA meeting, and just quietly pray their rosary.  And the speakers promoting the witchcraft books would, one by one, start to babble at the microphone and have to sit down….  The children were protected!

Darren in the spring of 2016, before his beautiful healing!

October 7, 2016

Feast of the Rosary!

Dear Apostles for Our Lady, Family of Mary TV:

Thanks to your intercessory prayer, Fruit show #234, Catherine’s testimony with her son, Darren, is now being viewed at: http://marytv.tv/?page_id=167

Thank you! (And remember, from MaryTV’s App you can immediately forward it to others.)  We continue to thank God and Our Lady for this beautiful healing of Darren!!  He is a sign of joy for all of us and we are thankful to be able to witness such an act of God!

In the middle of the night, Christina, who edits all of Mary TV programs, including “Fruit of Medjugorje” and “Tea with Rosie”, emailed me:

Thanks Denis!! It’s still exporting since yesterday!!! Over 24 hours!!! This morning it said 7 hours and now it says 5… This is truly the craziest thing ever. I think my computer is fried… It’s about 7 years old and it really works hard to edit, but I’ve never experienced anything like this!   Thank you for the prayers. (I saw the update !!) I am hoping that in the morning when I wake up it will be finished and ready to upload!! I don’t want to burden Mary TV for new editing computer!!! If you think you can find a donor, that would be great but if not we will figure something out! Thank you and Cathy for everything!

Since your generous response to my last update makes it possible for Mary TV to send out flyers to a new mailing list, I want to make an appeal now for donations to purchase a new computer for Christiana…. She is a great gift to us!

Christina works for Mary TV for almost nothing – though before joining Mary TV she was tops in her profession: the Creative Producer for Kelly Ripa’s New York Film company and Kelly’s personal assistant. She gave up a flourishing career to devote herself entirely to Our Lady by joining Mary TV’s production team. (And as I say, she works for almost nothing)…. Let’s get her a good editing computer! Just think: if you help her get a good computer you will be playing an integral role in every program that comes out of Mary TV in the future…. A powerful Mac that would be Christina’s “dream computer” for editing Mary TV’s programs, with a drobo box and powerful duel processor, would cost us $4, 999.   (Remember, any donation you give towards it is Tax Exempt!)

You can donate on the website using these links or write a check!

PS. Patricia just emailed from Ireland:

Dear Denis & Cathy,

I am writing to thank you for all the hard work you are doing to promote Our Lady’s messages to the whole world.  Thank you for for the testimonal I watched with joy tonight Catherine telling the story of Darren’s Miracle healing through Our Lord & Our Lady “Thank God and Praise the Lord”. it brought tears to my eyes.  I travelled to Medjugorje in May and I even got to hug Darren, yes he is like a magnet, people are drawn to him and is such a lovable young man full of joy and love for everyone that meet him.

On weekdays I work as a sales rep, and as part of my job I travel around Munster and part of Lenister.  By sheer chance I met a lovely lady named Catherine on the flight home we got chatting for just for just 5 minutes. Some weeks later little did I know I would meet Catherine again in a shop in Bantry Co Cork.  We got chattting about our time in Medjugorje and out of the blue mentioned about Mary TV to be honest I did not know about Mary TV until Catherine informed me.  On my return home that night I tuned into Mary TV and ever since I am hooked.  I love Mary TV and the powerful testimonials are fantastic “Praise the Lord” the healing continues in this wonderful holy place. It is  “Heaven on Earth”.

Then one day, I said to myself what can I do to help Denis and Cathy to get more and more Irish people to tune into Mary TV.  I came up with the idea of hanging up the attached poster in the Catholic churches I pass on a daily bases a quick run in and a prayer and I’m away again.  So Please God the news about Mary TV will spread and Our Lady’s messages will reach more and more through Mary TV and in 2017 more Irish people will visit Medjugorje. Please God.

Denis and Cathy keep up the good work and please continue to do what you are doing Mary TV will go from strenght to strength.

Kindest regards,

Patricia M. (Ireland)

Thank you Patricia! And thanks to all of you who are in the boat, keeping her afloat with your prayers and support!!!

St. Maria Faustina Kowalska

Dear Family of Mary TV,

In her autobiography, “My Heart Will Triumph”, Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Soldo says, “I cannot divulge much more about the secrets, but I can say this – Our Lady is planning to change the world,” (p. 142).

And she’s using you! No saints in the past ever had this said to them: “God has chosen each one of you in order to use you for the great plan of salvation of mankind. You cannot comprehend how great your role is in God’s plan. Therefore, dear children, pray, so that through prayer you might comprehend God’s plan through you. I am with you so that you can realize it completely!”(January 25, 1987, Our Lady’s first monthly message).

I believe she’s accomplishing her plan through her children who don’t stop trying to respond to her call, particularly her children coming to Medjugorje: “My Son promised me that evil will never win, because you, the souls of the just, are here!”(November 2, 2014).

In her 35th Anniversary message Our Lady told us: “Give thanks to God with me for the gift of my being with you… Persevere in prayer so that, with you, I can realize my plans!” (June 25, 2016). It’s given to Our Lady to crush Satan’s head. Today through Medjugorje that promise, made in Genesis 3:15, is being fulfilled through Revelations 12…where Our Lady comes, as she does every day in Medjugorje, with a crown of 12 stars. She’s told us in her messages, “This time is my time!” (January 25, 1997). Mary tells us, “Satan wants to destroy my plan,” and she tells her apostles to“be strong and resolute!” (August 25, 2011).

IMPORTANT: Mary TV needs intercessory prayer. For three days now we’ve had the most incredible testimony ready to air. It was schedule to air last Monday night in “Fruit of Medjugorje” episode #234, http://marytv.tv/?page_id=167…A mother and her son give witness to an extraordinary miracle they just experienced in Medjugorje….   Though the program was finished at Noon on Sunday, for an inexplicable reason it still won’t export from the computer.   This has never happened before. Experts have looked at the problem and can’t figure it out. Everything points to only one explanation: the enemy is terrified of people believing what Our Lady just told us in her July 2nd message: “Trust in my Son because He will do for you what you would not even know how to ask for!”

Pray this program airs and the enemy can’t block what Our Lady wants to be doing through Mary TV!

Mirjana’s October 2nd apparition can still be viewed on Mary TV’s web site:http://marytv.tv/?page_id=334

Our Lady’s September 27 apparition to Ivan in Vienna’s St. Stephens Cathedral, which was streamed Live by Mary TV, can still be viewed at http://marytv.tv/?page_id=624

It was a beautiful time of witnessing the grace of Our Lady’s presence in Medjugore (as Medjugorje evenings of prayer always are) …. To read Ivan’s account of Our Lady’s apparition, and the message she gave, go to http://marytv.tv/?cat=4

” Dear children, my real, living presence among you should make you happy because this is the great love of my Son. He is sending me among you so that, with a motherly love, I may grant you safety!” (July 2, 2016)

Bishop Victor H. Phalana from South Africa, who just arrived in Medjugorje the day before yesterday – coming from a synod in Rome with the Holy Father, gives his testimony in this Monday night’s Fruit of Medjugorje (#233). After speaking about the incredible spirituality of Medjugorje, he says:

“I really want to thank the Lord for Mary TV because I had not heard about it.  So now I can go back and promote it and tell the people: please, for spiritual input, listen to MaryTV and then I will be able to give them the website and everything.!

“I knew about Radio Maria, but I didn’t know about MaryTV.  Thank God for this initiative and may it continue to touch hearts, especially for those who wish and long to come here but are unable to.   We pray that through Mary TV they too may be able to hear the message of God and be able to love Our Lady as the church loves her.

“She has never let us down and her powerful intercession has rescued us and has protected us, has protected our vocations, has protected many families, has protected many young people who were at the point of self-destruction.  But Mary’s intercession comes always at the right time.  We are calling her ‘Mother of Mercy’ because she is the Mother of the merciful Jesus.  She’s the Mother of Mercy.  So her powerful intercession bestows and brings to us personal experience of God’s Divine Mercy.  Thank you!   May God bless your ministry!”

Dear children! You have always prayed that I not abandon you. Now I ask of you, in turn, not to abandon me!” (February, 1985)

Your donations are making it possible for Our Lady’s children around the world to be present with her in Medjugorje through Mary TV’s LIVE streaming. Thanks to your generosity Mary TV’s Medjugorje internet TV channel is broadcasting 24/7! However, we are still just barely able to cover the costs of the operations and programming; and often times we have to proceed near, or in the red. We pray every day for God’s blessing on our efforts, so that we may continue to serve Our Lady in this way, and that we will not have to scale back the programming and outreach. So, again, we respectfully ask for your financial support, and your prayers… that we can keep moving forward, serving Our Lady, and you, through our website and programming. It’s a huge undertaking, yet somehow we have been able to do it on a very, very tight budget and with a small but incredibly hard working staff. But that may not be fully sustainable into the future. Mary TV can only continue to provide all that it does if our donations increase, and we thank you again so much for your incredible generosity, and all the prayers offered on our behalf.

(See donations links below)

Queen of Peace Ministries was for 25 years the sponsor of the National Conference on Medjugorje, at the University of Notre Dame. They have generously given us their mail list which includes the names of participants and attendees of past Medjugorje conferences. This list will allow us to let all those people know about MaryTV — that the Medjugorje TV channel is broadcasting 24/7, and the site includes comprehensive programming from Medjugorje that they will find enriching. Sending out a mailer to such a large mailing list is something we had not anticipated, but the opportunity is just too important to pass up…. Especially since Queen of Peace Ministries will no longer be sponsoring Medjugorje conferences at Notre Dame. This will give us a way to connect all those folks, who love Our Lady, to Medjugorje through Mary TV.

The cost of such a large mailer, including the postage fees, is approximately $6,500.   We can only take advantage of this opportunity if someone, or a few people, come forward with a special donation to cover this cost, or part of it…. Please pray about it. We do need word to get out about what MaryTV is offering. And this particular group of people, on the list have already shown an interest in and love for Our Lady of Medjugorje. We are finding out that so many people, who love Our Lady of Medjugorje, do not know about Mary TV!! The day before yesterday Bishop Phalana was so happy to find out about Mary TV.

We are trying to spread word about Mary TV as best we can, but marketing campaigns like this are incredibly expensive. People are often shocked and LOVE finding out that from anywhere in the world they can be connected LIVE to Medjugorje….

“Pray for peace. Pray with the heart little children, and do not lose hope because God loves his creatures. He desires to save you one by one through my coming here!” (March 25, 2003).

We are also designing some great Mary TV bumper stickers. Be on the lookout for an email from me, soon, with the information about these, and how you can get some for your cars and your friends!!

“Pray with the heart, little children, and do not lose hope because God loves His creatures. He desires to save you, one by one, through my coming here.” (March 25, 2003)

There are still seats available to join Michael’s Medjugorje pilgrimage Oct 3 to the 14th (You can call him at 574 335 9952; email: mnolan6@me.com) Some airline tickets are still available at ½ the usual price. There seems to be heavy spiritual warfare surrounding this pilgrimage. The devil is afraid of the faithful going to Medjugorje. Our Lady has called us all …. Contact Michael!

The “heroes” of Medjugorje are not the visionaries or the Franciscans (as heroic as they have been)! I believe when all is revealed and we see things in the clear light of God we’ll discover from His perspective the heroes of Medjugorje are those who have responded to Our Lady’s call and gone to Medjugorje. “My Son promised me that evil will never win because you, the souls of the just, are here!” (November 2, 2014)

Several responses that just came in from our shipmates:

Dear Cathy

There is no money that could possibly pay back Mary’s TV enhancement of our spiritual lives. Its actually priceless. God Bless You & Denis.

Dear Denis and Cathy,

Just a quick note to thank you both so much for still doing a live rosary every day when you are not home. My husband and I are so thankful, and in awe actually, at your beautiful commitment to our Lady and all of us who pray with you every day.

I could not live without the daily rosary with you. I knew I would love it and really appreciated it as an option in my day, in the beginning, but had no idea how integral it would become to my spiritual life. Mary TV is really a beautiful, beautiful gift. A Grace from heaven actually. We so appreciate what the two of you do.

I watch all Father Leon’s content too. He is amazing!!!!!! I could listen to him talk for hours. And the mother Teresa content is wonderful. I am going to play that on the TV screen for my family tonight. The sisters here had a beautiful Mass and celebration for her last Sunday at the Cathedral. They got to stay up all night and watch the coverage of the canonization on EWTN, a volunteer brought a TV in for them. They have no televisions and are not allowed to watch except for special occasions like this. So they were thrilled.

Hope you are having a pleasant weekend away from home!!!

God Bless you both,

Jill… (California)

HOly Father and Teres

Two saints! And they both love Medjugorje!

September 4, 2016
Canonization Day of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Dear Family of MaryTV,
With joy we invoke the intercession of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta today. Apostles of the Gospa of Medjugorje can count on miracles! She’s our powerful intercessor….
Today Mary TV’s new channel gets underway by airing a half hour special with Mother Teresa speaking to over 5000 priests in the papal audience hall at the Vatican. This priests’ retreat was filmed 26 years ago by MaryTV’s director of Engineering, Tom Matasso. It is playing in the channel today (MaryTV.tv). For on demand viewing it will eventually be found in the video window at the top of the web page. (I may have already mentioned that Tom was called to the Vatican several months after Karol Wojtyła’s election to the papacy on October 16, 1978. His work filming there laid the foundations for what would begin, five years later, as Vatican TV) ….
Mary TV’s new web page that we all are experiencing today is the dedicated work of Matt Matasso, Tom’s son (like father like son)!!!!! Matt created our video web page from scratch and is always looking for the most inexpensive ways to improve it…. I remember when we began live streaming over phones, you could count on the fingers of one hand the number of those in the world able to do so – who weren’t multi-million dollar corporations. (I’m told that even today, with a budget of millions, IBM hasn’t succeeded in its efforts to construct an internet TV channel like the one Tom has constructed for MaryTV.)
Needless to say, we are very grateful. Let’s ask Mother Teresa of Calcutta, out of her great love for the Gospa, to bless Tom and Matt…to be with them and their families these days.
Cathy and I will be leaving our house (and so vacating the studio) every Notre Dame home football game this season, starting next weekend. We’re grateful for the opportunity to rent out our house to families coming for the game – something we need to do in order to help pay bills…. Matt started preparing an old computer that we brought back with us from Medjugorje last June to use for our Rosaries on the digital sea while we’re out of the house – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of home football weekends. But that computer turns out to be too old. It’s not capable of holding all the needed software. To purchase a new traveling computer, with the needed software, costs $2,000… an expense not budgeted for…. If anyone would like to help with a donation towards meeting this expense, we’d be grateful! Nothing’s going to stop us from praying the rosary with Our Lady and her family everyday – sailing on the digital sea!!!!
Thank you and God bless you!
