October 13, 2022 Reflection – “Here we are, Mother! Lead us!”

“Here we are, Mother! Lead us!”   October 13, 2022 The Miracle of the Sun at Fatima Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady has spoken to us about many things over the last 41 years.  There have been many challenges in the world during those years…wars, famines, plagues, civil unrest, the growth of atheism and the occult.  These have been difficult years for all of us. But Our Lady has stayed with us, with such constancy and loyalty.  She has given us messages each month…messages filled with wisdom, encouragement, correction and love.  These messages come from the Heart of our Mother.  And they sustain us in all things. Here are three messages in which Our Lady mentions the signs of the times, and how we must respond to them.  She knows that the world is convulsing in evil, but she doesn’t dwell on the evil, because she is too busy building us up in the good.  Her response to evil is to do good!  Let these three messages help us to focus on the Good God and His love for us, and then live our lives accordingly! September 25, 1998 “Dear children! Today, I call you to become my witnesses by living the faith of your fathers. Little children, you seek signs and messages and do not see that, with every morning sunrise, God calls you to convert and to return to the way of truth and salvation. You speak much, little children, but you work little on your conversion. That is why, convert and start to live my messages, not with your words but with your life. In this way, little children, you will have the strength to decide for the true conversion of the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” June 2, 2007 “Dear children! Also in this difficult time God’s love sends me to you. My children, do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live. I will help you to come to know the love of my Son. I will triumph through you. Thank you.” May 2, 2009 Our Lady was very sad. She blessed us and gave this message: “Dear children! Already for a long time I am giving you my motherly heart and offering my Son to you. You are rejecting me. You are permitting sin to overcome you more and more. You are permitting it to master you and to take away your power of discernment. My poor children, look around you and look at the signs of the times. Do you think that you can do without God’s blessing? Do not allow darkness to envelop you. From the depth of your hearts cry out for my Son. His Name disperses even the greatest darkness… I will be with you, just call on me: ‘Here we are Mother, lead us.’ Thank you.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2022

October 12, 2022 Reflection – Follow me…

Follow me…   October 12, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! August 2, 2014 “Dear children, the reason that I am with you, my mission, is to help you for ‘good’ to win, even though this does not seem possible to you now. I know that you do not understand many things as I also did not understand everything, everything that my Son explained to me while He was growing up alongside me – but I believed Him and followed Him. I ask this of you also, to believe me and to follow me. However, my children, to follow me means to love my Son above everything, to love Him in every person without making differences. For you to be able to do this, I call you anew to renunciation, prayer and fasting. I am calling you for the Eucharist to be the life of your soul. I am calling you to be my apostles of light who will spread love and mercy through the world. My children, your life is only a blink in contrast to eternal life. And when you come before my Son, in your hearts He will see how much love you had. In order to spread love in the right way, I am asking my Son, through love, to grant you unity through Him, unity among you, unity between you and your shepherds. Through them my Son always gives Himself to you anew and renews your soul. Do not forget this. Thank you.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2022

October 11, 2022 Reflection – Give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you!

Give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you!   October 11, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Luke 11:37-41 After Jesus had spoken, a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home. He entered and reclined at table to eat. The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal. The Lord said to him, “Oh, you Pharisees! Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil. You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.” “But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.” Jesus was really abashed at this Pharisee, and how thick headed he was.  He just didn’t get Jesus.   He was so picky and stubborn and self-centered!!  But He gave him a very simple remedy.  “Give alms, and behold everything will be clean for you!” Giving alms is a remedy for so much that is disordered within us.  Why?  I think it is because the act of serving and sharing with others who are poor can penetrate our hearts as nothing else can. Last week I was blessed to go to the movie, “No Greater Love” which is a tribute to Mother Teresa of Calcutta – ( https://www.motherteresamovie.com/ ) – It was so moving, I could hardly take it all in.  I highly recommend it!!  Mother Teresa made her entire life a gift of alms for the poor.  She gave everything.  And for her everything was clean!!!  Her soul was a bright and shiny as the sun!! Our Lady knows about having souls that shine.  In this very long message she gives us very good advice about how to become good.  Of course the poor are included in her list.  In fact so many of the things Our Lady calls us to do are exemplified in Mother Teresa.  She prayed the Rosary. none-stop!  She And she offered her entire life to Jesus, through Mary, by serving the poor.  May Our Lady teach us our road to holiness so that one day we will shine like the sun!! December 2, 2017  “Dear children, I turn to you as your mother, the mother of the just, the mother of those who love and suffer, the mother of those who are holy. My children, you too can be holy – this depends on you. Those who are holy are those who immeasurably love the Heavenly Father, those who love Him above all. Therefore, my children, always strive to be better. If you strive to be good you can be holy even though you may not think so of yourselves. If you think that you are good, you are not humble, and arrogance distances you from holiness. In this peaceless world full of threats, your hands, apostles of my love, should be extended in prayer and mercy. And to me, my children, give the gift of the rosary, the roses which I love so much. My roses are your prayers pronounced with the heart and not only recited with the lips. My roses are your acts of prayer, faith and love. When my Son was little, he said to me that my children would be numerous and that they would bring me many roses. I did not comprehend Him. Now I know that you are those children who are bringing me roses when, above all, you love my Son, when you pray with the heart, when you help the poorest. Those are my roses. That is the faith which makes everything in life be done through love, not knowing arrogance, and always ready to forgive; never judging, always striving to understand one’s brother. Therefore, apostles of my love, pray for those who do not know how to love, for those who do not love you, for those who have done evil to you, for those who have not come to know the love of my Son. My children, I ask this of you because, remember, to pray means to love and to forgive. Thank you.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2022

October 10, 2022 Reflection – The Truth does not change!

The Truth does not change!   October 10, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! In this message below, Our Lady gives us sound advice on how to live and transmit holiness in these days when so many of Our Lady’s children have forgotten holiness and truth. If we live her words we will be at peace and help others to find their way: May 2, 2016 “Dear children! My motherly heart desires your true conversion and a firm faith so that you may be able to spread love and peace to all those who surround you. But, my children, do not forget: each of you is a unique world before the Heavenly Father. Therefore, permit the continuous working of the Holy Spirit to work on you. Be my spiritually pure children. In spirituality is beauty. Everything that is spiritual is alive and very beautiful. Do not forget that in the Eucharist, which is the heart of faith, my Son is always with you. He comes to you and breaks bread with you; because, my children, for your sake He died, He resurrected and is coming anew. These words of mine are familiar to you because they are the truth, and the truth does not change. It is only that many of my children have forgotten it. My children, my words are neither old nor new, they are eternal. Therefore, I invite you, my children, to observe well the signs of the times, to ‘gather the shattered crosses’ and to be apostles of the revelation. Thank you.” Fr. Leon gave a very precise and moving homily yesterday at English Mass in Medjugorje, in which he presented the truth, the eternal truth, that Jesus gave us once and for all. He helps us to understand well the signs of the times and how to recognize the truth that does not change. Below is the link to the transcript of that Homily: Fr. Leon’s Homily And here is the link to the video of Fr. Leon delivering this homily: https://marytv.tv/english-homily-in-medjugorje-2/?smid=ixPBaNs4Z4C&slid=IRBKmbjFsDA In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! October 7, 2022 Reflection – Our Lady of the Rosary

Our Lady of the Rosary   October 7, 2022 Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary Dear Family of Mary! Today the Church celebrates the Rosary, which is the powerful gift of prayer that Our Lady has given us.  Much has been said about the Rosary.  But I would like to share something personal that I received in prayer yesterday. During Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, I asked Jesus to speak to me about this holy day, Our Lady of the Rosary.  This is what I heard: “Tomorrow My Mother will begin to move against our enemy. She will come wrapped in light, and begin to demolish the Tower of Babel that Satan has erected in the world.  His lies will implode and his plans will begin to fail. Pray the Rosary all day on the Feast of the Holy Rosary.  Pray it with courage and love, peace and trust.  Pray the Rosary tomorrow!” I share this with you only as an encouragement to pray the Rosary today. Here are three message from Our Lady given through the visionaries.  Our Lady has asked us to pray the Rosary reverently and often. She tells us it is the weapon! May we respond to her call! August 8, 1985 “Dear children! Today I call you especially now to advance against satan by means of prayer. Satan wants to work still more now that you know he is at work. Dear children, put on the armor for battle and with the Rosary in your hand defeat him! Thank you for having responded to my call.” January 25, 1991 “Dear children! Today, like never before, I invite you to prayer. Let your prayer be a prayer for peace. Satan is strong and desires to destroy not only human life, but also nature and the planet on which you live. Therefore, dear children, pray that through prayer you can protect yourselves with God’s blessing of peace. God has sent me among you so that I may help you. If you so wish, grasp for the rosary. Even the rosary alone can work miracles in the world and in your lives. I bless you and I remain with you for as long as it is God’s will. Thank you for not betraying my presence here and I thank you because your response is serving the good and the peace.” April 25, 2001 “Dear children! Also today, I call you to prayer. Little children, prayer works miracles. When you are tired and sick and you do not know the meaning of your life, take the Rosary and pray; pray until prayer becomes for you a joyful meeting with your Savior. I am with you, little children, and I intercede and pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2022

October 6, 2022 Reflection – “I tell you, ask and you shall receive!”

“I tell you, ask and you shall receive!” October 6, 2022 St. Bruno Dear Family of Mary! In our Gospel for today (Luke 11:5-13) Jesus explains the necessity of prayer and the power of prayer to His disciples.  We need to realize that our whole relationship with God depends on prayer.  Yes, we need Mother Church, we need the Sacraments, we need the Commandments and the teachings of the Church.  But without prayer, none of these incredible gifts of the Church will penetrate, heal, lead, and change us! Jesus tells us in the Gospel: “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.  What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?” (Luke 11:9-13) Jesus made it perfectly clear that if we pray, if we ask the Father for something, He will answer us. If we seek the Father, He will be found.   If we knock on the door of Heaven, it will be opened to us.  In fact the Father will give us His very own Spirit if we ask Him.  These gifts are the fruit of prayer. Our Lady has made prayer the most important part of her plan for us.  She never stops exhorting us to pray. Take this message for example: April 2, 2011 “Dear children; With motherly love I desire to open the heart of each of you and to teach you personal unity with the Father.  (This unity is achieved through prayer.) To accept this, you must comprehend that you are important to God and that He is calling you individually. (Prayer is the means to relate to God individually, and to recognize His love.) You must comprehend that your prayer is a conversation of a child with the Father; (This is the most beautiful way to describe what prayer is!  We are children talking to our Father.) that love is the way by which you must set out: love for God and for your neighbor. (Prayer must be powered by love…) That is, my children, the love that has no boundaries. (We cannot put limits on our prayer out of love.  It is everything for us.) That is the love that emanates from truth and goes to the end. (Prayer is the way to receive the truth that emanate from love) Follow me, my children, so that also others, in recognizing the truth and love in you, may follow you. (If we follow Our Lady into prayer, others will see and also follow.) Thank you.” Forgive me for interjecting throughout the message, but I couldn’t explain it any better than she does.  I just wanted to emphasize her words.  Let’s return to prayer with all our hearts! October 5, 2022 Reflection – St. Faustina Kowalska and Divine Mercy!

The Divine Mercy Chapel in Surnanci, Medjugorje   October 5, 2022 St. Faustina Kowalska Dear Family of Mary! Today is the Feast of St. Faustina Kowalska, to whom the Lord Jesus entrusted the beautiful Message of Divine Mercy and the Feast of Divine Mercy!  St. Faustina was a nun who lived in Poland in the early 1900’s.  She was called by Jesus to reveal to the world His great Mercy for all mankind.  She was very faithful to the words that Jesus gave to her and through her confessor, Fr. Sopocko, they were spread throughout the world.  She also lived Divine Mercy through her intercessory prayer, especially for the dying. St. Faustina prayed for and offered mercy to others.  She wrote in her diary how to live Divine Mercy each day.  Here is her list of ways to be merciful: 163 General Exercises O Most Holy Trinity! As many times as I breathe, as many times as my heart beats, as many times as my blood pulsates through my body, so many thousand times do I want to glorify Your mercy. 1 want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection, O Lord. May the greatest of all divine attributes, that of Your unfathomable mercy, pass through my heart and soul to my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors’ souls and come to their rescue. Help me, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbors’ needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings. Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor, but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all. Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I may do only good to my neighbors and take upon myself the more difficult and toilsome tasks. Help me, that my feet may be merciful, so that I may hurry to assist my neighbor, overcoming my own fatigue and weariness. My true rest is in the service of my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my hart may be merciful so that I myself may feel all the sufferings of my neighbor. I will refuse my heart to no one. I will be sincere even with those who, I know, will abuse my kindness. And I will lock myself up in the most merciful Heart of Jesus. I will bear my own suffering in silence. May Your mercy, O Lord, rest upon me. You Yourself command me to exercise the three degrees of mercy. The first: the act of mercy, of whatever kind. The second: the word of mercy – if I cannot carry out a work of mercy, I will assist by my words. The third: prayer – if I cannot show mercy by deeds or words, I can always do so by prayer. My prayer reaches out even there where I cannot reach out physically. O my Jesus, transform me into Yourself, for you can do all things.  (Diary, entry 163) Our Lady has asked us to be merciful as well: March 2, 2019 “Dear children, I call you ‘apostles of my love’. I am showing you my Son who is the true peace and the true love. As a mother, through the mercy of God, I desire to lead you to Him. My children, this is why I am calling you to reflect on yourselves, starting out from my Son, that you look to Him with the heart and that you may see with the heart where you are and where your life is going. My children, I am calling you to comprehend that it is, thanks to my Son, that you live – through His love and sacrifice. You are asking of my Son to be merciful to you and I am calling you to mercy. You are asking of Him to be good to you and to forgive you, and for how long am I imploring you, my children, to forgive and to love all the people whom you meet? When you comprehend my words with the heart, you will comprehend and come to know the true love and you will be able to be apostles of that love, my apostles, my dear children. Thank you.” Dear St. Faustina, please pray for us that we can begin to live a life of merciful love today, and through the intercession of Our Lady of Medjugorje, may we become mercy for others.  Amen. October 4, 2022 Reflection – There is need of only one thing!

There is need of only one thing!   October 4, 2022 St. Francis of Assisi Dear Family of Mary! In our Gospel for today (Luke 10:38-42) Martha wanted Jesus to scold her sister for not helping her with the dinner preparations.  But Jesus said instead, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.  There is need of only one thing.  Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” Mary knew what she needed!  She needed eternal life.  And it was from Jesus that she was beginning to find it.  She could not take her eyes off of Jesus!  He was showing her eternity!  We know that Martha changed her mind at Jesus’ words and also became like Mary.  Both sisters began to long for Heaven! Our Lady has been trying to draw us all into the desire for eternity through her messages and presence for all these years.  Here is a message in which she again called us to long for heaven, to realize that there is need for only one thing, as Jesus said: September 25, 2021 “Dear children! Pray, witness and rejoice with me because the Most High continues to send me to lead you on the way of holiness. Be aware, little children, that life is short and eternity is waiting for you to give glory to God with your being, with all the saints. Little children, do not worry about earthly things, but long for Heaven. Heaven will be your goal and joy will begin to reign in your heart. I am with you and bless all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Like Jesus, Our Lady calls us to long for Heaven and realize that there is only one thing necessary!  Eternal life! This is the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi!  He is such a powerful example of someone who was enamored with earthly life until one day he encountered Jesus and realized that there was only one thing necessary!!  And what a conversion he made!  He wrote this prayer which shows his deep conversion, his deep desire for Jesus.  Let’s pray with him today on his feast, knowing that it is Jesus alone who we need: “There is need of only one thing” Our Creator, Redeemer and Savior, you are the only true God, in you is the fullness of goodness, you are the true and sovereign good. You alone are good, loving, gentle, sweet and lovable, holy, just, true and fair, kind, innocent and pure. In you is all pardon, grace, and glory for all the repentant, for the just, for all who share your joy in heaven. Let nothing separate us from you. Everywhere, at any place, at any hour and at any time, daily, ceaselessly, let us truly and humbly believe in you, love, honor and worship, praise, bless and glorify you, serve you and give thanks to you, most high, sovereign, eternal God, Trinity and Unity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things and Savior of all who have faith in you, who put their hope in you and who love you. You are without beginning or end, unchanging, invisible, ineffable, and inscrutable; you are sublime and great, mild and lovable, the source of joy. We desire you above all else forever and ever. Amen.  (Saint Francis of Assisi. From the October 2022 Magnificat Magazine – Meditation for the Day – October 4, 2022) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2022

October 3, 2022 Reflection – Forgive in your families

Before all else forgive in your families… October 3, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady has spoken to us often about the absolute need to practice forgiveness in our lives, especially in the family!  It is hard emotional work to forgive, especially in the family!!  We live so closely and can so easily cause hurt, by an off-hand word or action.  We are all imperfect.  But love can conquer all that! Here are two messages that Our Lady gave about forgiveness in the family!  She will help us to grow in our ability to forgive and to ask for forgiveness! January 25, 1996 “Dear Children! Today I invite you to decide for peace. Pray that God give you the true peace. Live peace in your hearts and you will understand, dear children, that peace is the gift of God. Dear children, without love you cannot live peace. The fruit of peace is love and the fruit of love is forgiveness. I am with you and I invite all of you, little children, that before all else forgive in the family and then you will be able to forgive others. Thank you for having responded to my call.” January 25, 2020  “Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray even more, until you feel the holiness of forgiveness in your heart. There must be holiness in the families, little children, because there is no future for the world without love and holiness – because in holiness and joy, you give yourselves to God the Creator who loves you with immeasurable love. This is why He sends me to you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2022

September 30, 2022 – Wait for the Lord to lead…

Wait for the Lord to lead, and then follow in His way…   September 30, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! I keep hearing in my heart the words from the Office of Readings a few days ago… “Wait for the Lord to lead, then follow in His way…” I feel that the Lord is trying to give me a way of living with these words.  He is asking me to never move ahead with a task or plan without first waiting in prayer for the Lord to lead me.  So many times the plans I devise without prayer turn out to be failures.  All my good intentions are not enough.  If I am living my life with the Lord and with Our Lady, I need to wait upon them, listen to them before I act on something. Our Lady gave a message about this – here it is: October 2, 2010 “Dear children; Today I call you to a humble, my children, humble devotion. Your hearts need to be just. May your crosses be your means in the battle against the sins of the present time. May your weapon be patience and boundless love, a love that knows to wait and which will make you capable of recognizing God’s signs, that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies… My children, my apostles, help me to open the paths to my Son. Once again I call you to pray for your shepherds. Alongside them, I will triumph. Thank you.” Everything is in this message! We need humility, in order to follow Jesus. We need to be just to serve Him. We need patience and boundless love in order to know how to wait and to recognize God’s signs…the signs by which He will lead us. We need to be those who in humility reveal the truth! This is how to serve God.  This is so powerful! In Isaiah 40 God speaks to his people about these very things.  He first reminds them of his power and might, and He calls them to wait upon Him and follow Him!  I love this Scripture.  It speaks the truth of our human condition and our need for God.  And His desire to take care of us! Isaiah 40: 25-31 To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.  Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hid from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my God”? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  Teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait!!!
