Parishioners and Pilgrims processing from Apparition Hill to St. James Church on the Anniversary last year! Anniversary Novena, Day 9   June 23, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Well, we made it to the last day of the Novena before the 41st Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions in Medjugorje!! Here we are at Day 9!!! On this day we meditate on Our Lady’s message of May 25, 2022. “Dear children! I am looking at you and thanking God for each of you, because He permits me to still be with you, to encourage you to holiness. Little children, peace is disturbed and Satan wants peacelessness. That is why, may your prayer be even stronger so that every unclean spirit of division and war may be stilled. Be builders of peace and carriers of joy of the Risen One in you and around you, for the good to win in every man. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (May 25, 2022) Dearest Mother! We want to become builders of peace and carrier of the joy of the Risen One. We want the good to win! Help our prayer to grow stronger so that every unclean spirit of division and war may be stilled. We commit ourselves to your guidance anew, dearest Mother. In the words of Fr. Slavko we pray: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Mary’s presence among us during these 41 years. I thank You for all that You have given me through Her. I thank you for every word that She expressed in Your Name. I thank you for all the graces, for every blessing, for every inner and outer healing that You, in the name of Your Son and through Mary’s intercession, have given me. I adore and praise You along with Mary who calls upon us to convert. Send me Your Holy Spirit so that I can, through Him, open myself to prayer and that He then can help me to grow in prayer. Take, O Father, my heart of stone from my chest and cleanse it so that it may become a new heart. Free me, O Father, of everything that makes my heart a heart of stone. Free me from every hatred, from every jealousy, from every greed, from every obsession and dependency and from every distrust and fear. Free my heart from all wounds, from all stresses and traumas, so that my heart may be formed according to that of Your Son, humble and mild, and formed according to that of Your servant Mary… so that I may live with others in love and peace, and so that I may stay, along with Mary, on the path of holiness, in order that someday I may become holy as You are holy, Our Father, who lives and reigns in all eternity. (It started exactly 30 years ago, in 1992.) June 25, 2022: We will gather on Apparition Hill, where it all began 41 years ago, around the Statue of Our Lady at 4:30 pm and then walk to St. James Church. We will pray the Rosary until we come to the Parish Church of St. James, where we will all celebrate the 41st Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Queen of Peace”. The solemn Holy Mass of the 41st Anniversary of the Apparition is at 7 pm on June 25, 2022.

Peace March from Humac to Medjugorje, 2021 Anniversary Novena, Day 8 June 22, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 8! The 41st Anniversary approaches!! Medjugorje is filling up with pilgrims and preparations are being made! I will include at the end of this email a summary of the events for the 41st Anniversary, as announced by the Parish of Medjugorje. (See below) On this day we meditate on Our Lady’s message of April 25, 2022. Our Lady shook us up a bit at the beginning of this message. But, as always, she is right. We are “lost” because we do not pray from the heart. She told us: April 25, 2022 Message “Dear children! I am looking at you and I see that you are lost.  That is why I am calling all of you: return to God, return to prayer and the Holy Spirit will fill you with His love which gives joy to the heart.  Hope will grow in you, also, for a better future, and you will become joyful witnesses of God’s mercy in you and around you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (April 25, 2022) Dearest Mother! You are looking at us! This is great news! We need you to keep track of us, or we will get lost in the world of distractions. Thank you for looking at us!! But you tell us that what you see is troubling…we are lost! This is not good news. When we get lost, at first we have no idea we are lost. It takes a while to realize that we are on the wrong track. Thank you, dearest Mother for calling us back. The way back? You tell us the way back…return to God…return to prayer…let the Holy Spirit fill us with His love which will give joy to our hearts… The result? Hope will grow in us…we will see a better future…and we will become joyful witness to God’s Mercy! Everywhere!! The way to life is not far off or difficult. You, Mother, have come to guide us into life, true life with Jesus. And as we follow you, we will begin to attract many others to follow you as well. This is the way of grace! Here is the parish announcement for the Anniversary: On Wednesday, June 15, the Novena to the Queen of Peace began. Every day at 4 pm during these nine days, the Rosary will be said on Apparition Hill! (Mary TV is streaming the Novena Climb each day) And in addition to the novena on Apparition Hill, this year the parishioners of Medjugorje will lead the Rosary before the evening Holy Mass at the White Dome of the Parish Church of St. James, announced the Parish Office of Medjugorje. Marinko Šakota, gave an interview at Radio Mir Medjugorje and announced the program of the Celebration of the 41st Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Queen of Peace: June 24, 2022: The Peace Walk on the Eve of the Anniversary (June 24) will take place early in the morning, starting from Humac at 6 am, praying for peace. It started exactly 30 years ago, in 1992. We pray for peace in the world, in Ukraine and in the hearts of all people that are in need so much. The schedule of Holy Masses on June 24 is 8, 11 and 7 p.m. And after the evening Holy Mass there will be Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar and it will last the whole night until 6 o’clock in the morning. June 25, 2022: “The solemn Holy Mass of the 41st Anniversary of the Apparition is at 7 pm on June 25, 2022”, said Fr. Marinko. “The Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Ljubo Kurtović, parish priest of Humac. And the Mass for the Anniversary will be celebrated by the new Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina, Fr. Jozo Grbeš.” “Also this year we will gather on Apparition Hill, where it all began 41 years ago, around the Statue of Our Lady at 4:30 pm and then walk to St. James Church. We will say the prayer that the visionaries said with Our Lady -The Creed and Seven Our Fathers, Hail Mary’s and Glory be’s, while walking in the procession and also pray the Rosary until we come to the Parish Church of St. James, where we will all celebrate the 41st Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Queen of Peace”, said Fr. Marinko Šakota.  

  June 21, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 7! Today we take time to pray over the Message from March 25, 2022. This message came on the same day that the Pope consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Listen to what Our Lady said to us: March 25, 2022 “Dear children! I am listening to your cry and prayers for peace. For years, Satan has been fighting for war. That is why God sent me among you to guide you on the way of holiness, because humanity is at a crossroad. I am calling you to return to God and to God’s Commandments that it may be good for you on earth, and that you may come out of this crisis into which you have entered because you are not listening to God who loves you and desires to save you and lead you to a new life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Let us pray: Mother, you have come to us under the title “Queen of Peace” in Medjugorje. From the very beginning of your apparitions, you have called us to pray for peace. As early as June 26, 1981, you spoke to Marija of your mission for peace: On returning to the village after the apparition, Marija saw the Virgin again, in tears, near a cross with rainbow colors: “Peace, Peace, Peace! Be reconciled! Only Peace. Make your peace with God and among yourselves. For that, it is necessary to believe, to pray, to fast, and to go to confession.“(June 26, 1981) And on August 6, 1981 you told the visionaries your title: “I am the Queen of Peace.” Then in April 1982 Mirjana asked you this question: Mirjana: Do you wish the establishment of a special feast in your honor? You answered her: “I wish a feast for the Queen of Peace, on the 25th of June, anniversary of the first apparition.” Your Mission from God is to establish peace among men. Yet, we find ourselves in a long succession of wars and violence. Even today there is a terrible war in Eastern Europe. And so you spoke these words to us on March 25, 2022. It was the very day when Pope Francis consecrated the world and especially Russia and Ukraine to Your Immaculate Heart. Seemingly in answer to that consecration, you gave us the March 25, 2022 message. It seems it is up to us to return to God, to return to God’s commandments, to listen to God who loves us and desires to save us and lead us to a new life. Please, dearest Mother, dearest Queen of Peace, do not leave us alone in this terrible moment! Help us to convert and seek the Lord while there is still time!!! We cling to you for guidance and help! Anniversary Novena, Day 6   June 20, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 6! Today we take time to pray over the Message from February 25, 2022: “Dear children! I am with you and we pray together. Help me with prayer, little children, that Satan may not prevail. His power of death, hatred, and fear has visited the earth. Therefore, little children, return to God and to prayer, to fasting and to renunciation, for all those who are downtrodden, poor, and have no voice in this world without God. Little children, if you do not return to God and His Commandments, you do not have a future. That is why He sent me to you to guide you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (February 25, 2022) Let us pray: Mother, you spoke these serious words to us just as the war in Ukraine began. It was a moment of great sorrow and fear. You told us that you were with us and that we prayed together. We were encouraged by your presence. Then you reminded us that the answer to all our fears and woes was in prayer, fasting and renunciation for all those in need. And you reminded us to continue to return to God and to His commandments in order to find our way to the future with Him. May we respond to your call even now. Anniversary Novena, Day 5   June 19, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 5! Today we take time to pray over the Message from January 25, 2022: “Dear children! Today I am calling you to return to personal prayer. Little children, do not forget that Satan is strong and that he wants to attract all the more souls to himself. That is why, you be vigilant in prayer and resolute in the good. I am with you and am blessing all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (January 25, 2022) Let us pray: Mother, you have often called us to return to prayer! You have asked us to find time for God alone in prayer. You know the miracles that can happen when we decide for a time for personal prayer. Now you are warning us that Satan is strong, and we must be vigilant in prayer in order to withstand him. You told us this many years ago, through Jelena: “I’m going to reveal a spiritual secret to you: if you want to be stronger than evil, make yourself a plan of personal prayer. Take a certain time in the morning, read a text from Holy Scripture, anchor the Divine Word in your heart, and strive to live it during the day, particularly during the moment of trials. In this way, you will be stronger than evil.” (April 19, 1984-Jelena) Even today, we want to respond to this very good advice. But we will need your help, Mother.   Anniversary Novena, Day 4 June 18, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 4, and we have two more powerful messages from Our Mother, the monthly messages for November and December 2021! Here is the November 25, 2021 message: “Dear children!   I am with you in this time of mercy and I am calling all of you to be carriers of peace and love in this world where, through me, little children, God is calling you to be prayer and love, and an expression of Heaven here on earth. May your hearts be filled with joy and faith in God; that, little children, you may have complete trust in His holy will. That is why I am with you, because He, the Most High, is sending me among you to encourage you to the hope; and you will be peacemakers in this peaceless world. Thank you for having responded to my call.”  (November 25, 2021) Let us pray: Dearest Mother, You have made it very clear that our job is not to engage in battle with our brothers and sisters who are lost in this world, but instead to be carriers of peace and love in every situation. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can become filled with joy and faith which will be a blessing for all those we meet. Through the love of God that is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, we will become peacemakers in this peaceless world. Mother, please pray for us that we will allow God’s blessings to flow through us! Amen. And here is the December 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! Today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to give you His peace. Little children, without peace you do not have a future or blessing; therefore return to prayer, because the fruit of prayer is joy and faith, without which you cannot live. Today’s blessing which we give you, carry to your families and enrich all those whom you meet, that they may feel the grace which you are receiving. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (December 25, 2021) Dearest Mother, again in this message from December, through little Baby Jesus, you offered to us the way of prayer and peace, joy and faith, blessing and grace. You warned us that without peace we do not have a future. And you told us that if we receive the Baby Jesus, His peace will flow through us!!! We want His peace. Help us to receive little Jesus, and accept His peace so that we can carry it to all those we meet. This is your Peace Plan!! Simply to share Baby Jesus with all those we meet. Corpus Christi Procession in Medjugorje! June 17, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Day 3!! Today we will pray over the messages for September and October, 2021! They are powerful! I think I will not comment on them, but present them to you all for meditation. I will write a prayer response for us to pray today at the end. Here is the September 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! Pray, witness and rejoice with me because the Most High continues to send me to lead you on the way of holiness. Be aware, little children, that life is short, and eternity is waiting for you to give glory to God with your being, with all the saints. Little children, do not worry about earthly things, but long for Heaven. Heaven will be your goal and joy will begin to reign in your heart. I am with you and bless all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (September 25, 2021) Let us pray: Dearest Mother, we do rejoice with you, because the Heavenly Father continues to send you every day to be with us in Medjugorje! Thank you for leading us on the way of Holiness. Thank you for reminding us that life is short and heaven is our goal. We embrace your words and long to be with you very soon in Heaven. We love you dearest Mother! Amen. And here is the October 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! Return to prayer because he who prays is not afraid of the future; he who prays is open to life and respects the life of others; he who prays, little children, feels the freedom of the children of God and in joy of heart serves for the good for his brother-man. Because God is love and freedom, therefore, little children, when they want to put you in bonds and to use you, it is not from God. Because God loves and gives His peace to every creature; and that is why He sent me to you to help you to grow in holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (October 25, 2022) Dearest Mother, in this message you call us to prayer. If we pray, we will not be afraid of the future, we will be open to life, we will respect the lives of others, and we will live in the Freedom of God, serving our neighbors with love. Please, dearest Mother, help us to pray every day! And thank you for warning us that our freedom is a gift from God that no one can take away from us. Anniversary Novena, Day 2 June 16, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! On the second day of our novena, we have two messages from 2021 in which Our Lady gave us very good direction on how to offer the joy and love of God to all those we meet. She tells us that we need to be generous and be love for others: “Dear children! I am calling you to be prayer for all those who do not pray. Little children, witness with your lives the joy that you are mine and God will heed your prayers and give you peace in this peaceless world where pride and selfishness reign. Little children, you be generous and be the love of my love, so that pagans can feel that you are mine and convert to my Immaculate Heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (July 25, 2021) Our Lady is so positive!! She wants all her children to convert to her Immaculate Heart. And it is our job to help them, as her children! She tells us that people will feel that we are hers! Isn’t that amazing? What will they feel? I think they will feel her pure and immaculate love for them coming through us. And that will draw them to her. Our world is tired out by the sinfulness all around us. We long for the pure love of Jesus and Mary! She has the same optimism in the August 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! With joy I am calling all of you, little children, who have responded to my call: be joy and peace. Witness with your lives Heaven, which I am bringing to you. It is time, little children, that you be a reflection of my love for all those who do not love and whose hearts hatred has conquered. Do not forget: I am with you and intercede for all of you before my Son Jesus, that He may give you His peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (August 25, 2021) Our Lady continues her call to us to “be prayer” and to “be love” for all those who do not know Jesus. She wants us to “be joy and peace” for those whose hearts have been conquered by hatred! We can help them all to experience Our Lady’s love! This is the antidote. This is Our Lady’s great genius! She has perfected love in her heart and she gives it to us, as the cure for all the ills of our time. Let us pray: Mother, you call us to: Be prayer for all those who do not pray. Be generous and be the love of your love, so that pagans can feel that we are yours and convert to your Immaculate Heart. Be joy and peace and witness with our lives Heaven, which you are bringing to us. Be a reflection of your love for all those who do not love and whose hearts hatred has conquered. And to never forget: You are with us and intercede for all of us before your Son Jesus, that He may give us His peace. Mother we want to listen to your words, and live them.   (The Parish climbs Apparition Hill for 9 days before the Anniversary) Anniversary Novena, Day 1 June 15, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! We begin the Novena for the 41st Anniversary today! I will offer one or two messages each day, and a prayer. May we draw close to Our Lady during this time. Her presence is our hope and joy in these days! Our Lady said to us on the 40th Anniversary: “Dear children! My heart is joyful because through these years I see your love and openness to my call. Today I am calling all of you: pray with me for peace and freedom, because Satan is strong and by his deception, wants to lead away all the more hearts from my motherly heart. That is why decide for God so that it may be good for you on the earth which God gave you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (June 25, 2021) Dearest Mother, we do believe that God is sending you to save us from Satan, who wants to deceive all the more souls and lead them away from your motherly heart. We want to help you in every way we can. May we pray with you for Peace and Freedom and live a total consecration to you, dearest Mother! How to Give Oneself to Mary, Mother of Goodness, of Love and of Mercy (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 4/19/1984) Oh my Mother! Mother of goodness, love and mercy! I love you immensely, and I offer myself to you. Through your goodness, your love, And your mercy, save me! I wish to be yours. I love you immensely And I wish that you protect me. In my heart, oh mother of goodness, Give me your goodness, So that I go to Heaven. I ask you for your immense love That you may give me the grace That I will be able to love each one Just like you loved Jesus Christ. I ask you in grace That I be able to be merciful* to you. I offer myself completely to you And I wish that you will be with me at each step, Because you are full of grace.   4 The Love which my Son showed you…   June 14, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Today we are challenged by Jesus and by Our Lady to love in the most radical way possible…to love as Jesus loves. Here are Jesus’ words: “You have heard that it was said, `You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Mt 5:43-48) I still scratch my head in wonder at this call from Jesus. How can we love our enemies? How??? But there is no way around it. We must. Jesus showed us the way. He blazed the trail. We need only follow Him. In this message Our Lady helps us as well. She is the First Disciple, and she learned very well how to be like Jesus. Her words will help us in this radical call to love… February 2, 2013 “Dear children, love is bringing me to you – the love which I desire to teach you also – real love; the love which my Son showed you when He died on the Cross out of love for you; the love which is always ready to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. How great is your love? My motherly heart is sorrowful as it searches for love in your hearts. You are not ready to submit your will to God’s will out of love. You cannot help me to have those who have not come to know God’s love to come to know it, because you do not have real love. Consecrate your hearts to me and I will lead you. I will teach you to forgive, to love your enemies and to live according to my Son. Do not be afraid for yourselves. In afflictions my Son does not forget those who love. I will be beside you. I will implore the Heavenly Father for the light of eternal truth and love to illuminate you. Pray for your shepherds so that through your fasting and prayer they can lead you in love.
