Anniversary Novena, Day 2 June 16, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! On the second day of our novena, we have two messages from 2021 in which Our Lady gave us very good direction on how to offer the joy and love of God to all those we meet. She tells us that we need to be generous and be love for others: “Dear children! I am calling you to be prayer for all those who do not pray. Little children, witness with your lives the joy that you are mine and God will heed your prayers and give you peace in this peaceless world where pride and selfishness reign. Little children, you be generous and be the love of my love, so that pagans can feel that you are mine and convert to my Immaculate Heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (July 25, 2021) Our Lady is so positive!! She wants all her children to convert to her Immaculate Heart. And it is our job to help them, as her children! She tells us that people will feel that we are hers! Isn’t that amazing? What will they feel? I think they will feel her pure and immaculate love for them coming through us. And that will draw them to her. Our world is tired out by the sinfulness all around us. We long for the pure love of Jesus and Mary! She has the same optimism in the August 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! With joy I am calling all of you, little children, who have responded to my call: be joy and peace. Witness with your lives Heaven, which I am bringing to you. It is time, little children, that you be a reflection of my love for all those who do not love and whose hearts hatred has conquered. Do not forget: I am with you and intercede for all of you before my Son Jesus, that He may give you His peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (August 25, 2021) Our Lady continues her call to us to “be prayer” and to “be love” for all those who do not know Jesus. She wants us to “be joy and peace” for those whose hearts have been conquered by hatred! We can help them all to experience Our Lady’s love! This is the antidote. This is Our Lady’s great genius! She has perfected love in her heart and she gives it to us, as the cure for all the ills of our time. Let us pray: Mother, you call us to: Be prayer for all those who do not pray. Be generous and be the love of your love, so that pagans can feel that we are yours and convert to your Immaculate Heart. Be joy and peace and witness with our lives Heaven, which you are bringing to us. Be a reflection of your love for all those who do not love and whose hearts hatred has conquered. And to never forget: You are with us and intercede for all of us before your Son Jesus, that He may give us His peace. Mother we want to listen to your words, and live them.   (The Parish climbs Apparition Hill for 9 days before the Anniversary) Anniversary Novena, Day 1 June 15, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! We begin the Novena for the 41st Anniversary today! I will offer one or two messages each day, and a prayer. May we draw close to Our Lady during this time. Her presence is our hope and joy in these days! Our Lady said to us on the 40th Anniversary: “Dear children! My heart is joyful because through these years I see your love and openness to my call. Today I am calling all of you: pray with me for peace and freedom, because Satan is strong and by his deception, wants to lead away all the more hearts from my motherly heart. That is why decide for God so that it may be good for you on the earth which God gave you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (June 25, 2021) Dearest Mother, we do believe that God is sending you to save us from Satan, who wants to deceive all the more souls and lead them away from your motherly heart. We want to help you in every way we can. May we pray with you for Peace and Freedom and live a total consecration to you, dearest Mother! How to Give Oneself to Mary, Mother of Goodness, of Love and of Mercy (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 4/19/1984) Oh my Mother! Mother of goodness, love and mercy! I love you immensely, and I offer myself to you. Through your goodness, your love, And your mercy, save me! I wish to be yours. I love you immensely And I wish that you protect me. In my heart, oh mother of goodness, Give me your goodness, So that I go to Heaven. I ask you for your immense love That you may give me the grace That I will be able to love each one Just like you loved Jesus Christ. I ask you in grace That I be able to be merciful* to you. I offer myself completely to you And I wish that you will be with me at each step, Because you are full of grace.   4 The Love which my Son showed you…   June 14, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Today we are challenged by Jesus and by Our Lady to love in the most radical way possible…to love as Jesus loves. Here are Jesus’ words: “You have heard that it was said, `You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Mt 5:43-48) I still scratch my head in wonder at this call from Jesus. How can we love our enemies? How??? But there is no way around it. We must. Jesus showed us the way. He blazed the trail. We need only follow Him. In this message Our Lady helps us as well. She is the First Disciple, and she learned very well how to be like Jesus. Her words will help us in this radical call to love… February 2, 2013 “Dear children, love is bringing me to you – the love which I desire to teach you also – real love; the love which my Son showed you when He died on the Cross out of love for you; the love which is always ready to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. How great is your love? My motherly heart is sorrowful as it searches for love in your hearts. You are not ready to submit your will to God’s will out of love. You cannot help me to have those who have not come to know God’s love to come to know it, because you do not have real love. Consecrate your hearts to me and I will lead you. I will teach you to forgive, to love your enemies and to live according to my Son. Do not be afraid for yourselves. In afflictions my Son does not forget those who love. I will be beside you. I will implore the Heavenly Father for the light of eternal truth and love to illuminate you. Pray for your shepherds so that through your fasting and prayer they can lead you in love. Dear children, mine is a big heart!   June 13, 2022 St. Anthony of Padua Dear Family of Mary! I was searching the messages and found this one given through Mirjana Soldo on March 18, 2007. It really speaks to me powerfully of how we can walk through these times of fear and menacing evil. Our Lady has come to us to save us from this evil. She has come to defeat our enemy, and she is asking for our help. She is our hope in these days. Let this message reach your heart. Try to live it every day. This is Our Lady’s battle plan! “Dear children! I come to you as a Mother with gifts. I come with love and mercy. Dear children, mine is a big heart. In it, I desire all of your hearts, purified by fasting and prayer. I desire that, through love, our hearts may triumph together.   You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him.   June 10, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! January 25, 2016 “Dear children! Also today I am calling all of you to prayer. You cannot live without prayer, because prayer is a chain which brings you closer to God. Therefore, little children, in humility of heart return to God and to His commandments so that with all of your heart you are able to say: as it is in Heaven so may it be on earth. You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him. See where Satan wants to pull you into sin and slavery. Therefore, little children, return to my heart so that I can lead you to my Son Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady speaks of freedom, because she understands that God has given each one of us freedom to choose. That power to choose, that freedom, is also our greatest danger. We can easily choose to walk away from God’s plan for our lives. (Remember Fr. Martin’s homily on trust!) St. John Paul II wrote very clearly and powerfully about this gift of freedom. Here is an excerpt from Veritatis Splendor which captures so much about our freedom and its power for good or ill: What is the ultimate source of the inner division of man? His history of sin begins when he no longer acknowledges the Lord as his Creator and himself wishes to be the one who determines, with complete independence, what is good and what is evil. You will be like God, knowing good and evil (Gen 3:5): this was the first temptation, and it is echoed in all the other temptations to which man is more easily inclined to yield as a result of the original fall. But temptations can be overcome, sins can be avoided, because together with the commandments the Lord gives us the possibility of keeping them: His eyes are on those who fear him, and he knows every deed of man. He has not commanded any one to be ungodly, and he has not given any one permission to sin (Sir 15:19-20). Keeping God’s law in particular situations can be difficult, extremely difficult, but it is never impossible. This is the constant teaching of the Church’s tradition…. Man always has before him the spiritual horizon of hope, thanks to the help of divine grace…. It is in the saving cross of Jesus, in the gift of the Holy Spirit, in the sacraments which flow forth from the pierced side of the Redeemer, that believers find the grace and the strength always to keep God’s holy law, even amid the gravest of hardships. As Saint Andrew of Crete observes, the law itself “was enlivened by grace and made to serve it in a harmonious and fruitful combination. Each element preserved its characteristics without change or confusion. In a divine manner, he turned what could be burdensome and tyrannical into what is easy to bear and a source of freedom.” Only in the mystery of Christ’s redemption do we discover the concrete possibilities of man. It would be a very serious error to conclude that the Church’s teaching is essentially only an “ideal” which must then be adapted. This is what is at stake: the reality of Christ’s redemption. Christ has redeemed us! This means that he has given us the possibility of realizing the entire truth of our being; he has set our freedom free from the domination of concupiscence. Be it done unto me according to Thy word! June 9, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Fr. Martin, in his brilliant homily, made it completely clear to us that the most important thing we can do every day is to trust God, and do as He calls us to do. Trust God, always. Trust God, every day. Trust God, in humility. Trust God, first and last. Trust God, completely. Trust, trust, trust God!!! The best example we have of this kind of trust is Our Lady. She lived that trust perfectly. And through St. Luke she gave us the account of her encounter with the Angel Gabriel, who came to her to reveal God’s plan for her, a plan that would change the world forever. She told us the story of how she trusted God at that moment. She wanted her children to know exactly how she lived her trust in the Father, so we would have a model to follow. Here is that story: In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I have no husband?” And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1: 26-36) This conversation between Our Lady and St. Gabriel (who was speaking for God) teaches us so much about our relationship with our Creator. The Father was so respectful of Our Lady. The words He gave to Gabriel were full of respect and kindness, joy and love. This is the way God wants to talk to each of us as well. He wants to bless us! He wants to encourage us and give us His plans for us so that we will be blessed forever! The Father has a plan for each one of us. And He wants to share those plans with us. But we must listen. Our Lady encouraged us to listen in prayer so that we can hear God’s voice, His loving plan for us in this message: March 2, 2014 “Dear children, I am coming to you as a mother and I desire that in me, as in a mother, you may find your abode, consolation and rest. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, pray. Pray with humble devotion, obedience and complete trust in the Heavenly Father. Trust as I have trusted when it was said to me that I will bring the blessing of the promise. May out of your hearts, from your lips, always come forth ‘May your will be done!’ Therefore, trust and pray so that I can intercede for you before the Lord, for Him to give you the Heavenly Blessing and fill you with the Holy Spirit. Then He will be able to help all those who do not know the Lord – you, apostles of my love, will help them to call Him ‘Father’ with complete trust. Pray for your shepherds and place your trust in their blessed hands. Thank you.” Mother wants us to respond to the Father just like she did, with the words “May your will be done! Be it done unto me according to Thy word!” This is how we live out our complete trust in God, as Fr. Martin was showing us. Notice how many times Our Lady used the word, trust!! She and Fr. Martin are on the same page. Our biggest problem is trust, and our greatest solution to that problem is to trust God in all things!! The times are difficult. Now is the time to say “yes” to God with all our hearts! That is the only way we can help Jesus and Mary in this battle for souls. Here again is the link to Fr.   What is the biggest problem in your life?   June 8, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! November 25, 2010 “Dear children! I look at you and I see in your heart death without hope, restlessness and hunger. There is no prayer or trust in God, that is why the Most High permits me to bring you hope and joy. Open yourselves. Open your hearts to God’s mercy and He will give you everything you need and will fill your hearts with peace, because He is peace and your hope. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Fr. Oisin Eoghan Martin, part of the American Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, gave a homily on June 4, 2022 at English Mass in Medjugorje which is directly connected with the message above! It is a fantastic homily!!! I want to share it with you all but it is too long to transcribe all at once. Oisin Martin: I want to begin with a question. And the question is “What is the biggest problem in your life?” What is the biggest problem in your life? What is the biggest problem in your country? what is the biggest problem in the world? What has been the biggest problem in the history of the planet? It’s not the war in the Ukraine, or Covid, or sin, though sin flows from it. This problem affects every area of your life. It affects your mental health. It affects your physical health. It affects your mood, your relationships, your prayer life, your struggles. It affects the ability of God’s work in our lives. And the entire world is shaped by it. All the problems we have in the world happen because of it…And because of it, one angel in Heaven, called Lucifer, decided to do his own thing. And because of it, one couple called Adam and Eve started sin. This has been affecting us ever since. And it is the same problem for each one of us here. It is the same problem. This is the biggest problem in our lives. Not the thing you were thinking about two minutes ago. It is that we don’t trust. We don’t believe with all of our hearts that our Father truly loves us. We don’t trust that He always wants our happiness and He has our happiness at stake. We don’t believe that He is in complete control of every single aspect of our lives with no exceptions. We don’t believe with all our hearts in His Church, His Commandments, even the messages that Our Mother Mary is giving to us in Medjugorje. In Ephesians 3:20 God speaks to us through St. Paul: “God desires to accomplish all things in us in a measure far beyond what we can ask or conceive.” God desires to accomplish amazing and awesome things in each one of our lives. Regardless of who we are or our circumstances. And the only thing we should really be worried about is “God what do you want me to do?” In all honesty, for me, for Fr. The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church June 6, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Jesus gave us His Mother as He died on the cross. This final act shows us His total love for us. He brought us into His family by giving us His Mother as our Mother. We can only be in awe at such a gift!! Here is that moment, that gift, from the Gospel of John: But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Mag’dalene. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. (John19: 25-27) On this feast day we celebrate the gift of Mary as our Mother, as the Mother of the whole church. She spoke to us about her role as Mother of the Church in this message. Let’s take in her words today, and let them mold us and bless us!: June 2, 2016 “Dear children, as the Mother of the Church, as your mother, I am smiling as I look at you: how you are coming to me, how you are gathering around me, how you are seeking me. My comings among you are proof of how much Heaven loves you. They indicate to you the way to eternal life, to salvation. My apostles, you who strive to have a pure heart and to have my Son in it, you are on the good way. You who are seeking my Son are seeking the good way. He left many signs of His love. He left hope. It is easy to find Him if you are ready for sacrifice and penance – if you have patience, mercy and love for your neighbors. Many of my children do not see and do not hear because they do not want to. They do not accept my words and my works, yet through me, my Son calls everyone. His Spirit illuminates all of my children in the light of the Heavenly Father, in the unity of Heaven and Earth, in mutual love – because love invokes love and makes works more important than words. Therefore, my apostles, pray for your Church, love it and do works of love. No matter how betrayed or wounded, it is here because it comes from the Heavenly Father.   May 25, 2022 Message! May 25, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Here is the May 25, 2022 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace of Medjugorje: “Dear children! I am looking at you and thanking God for each of you, because He permits me to still be with you, to encourage you to holiness. Little children, peace is disturbed and Satan wants peacelessness. That is why, may your prayer be even stronger so that every unclean spirit of division and war may be stilled. Be builders of peace and carriers of joy of the Risen One in you and around you, for the good to win in every man.
