Pray, pray, pray until prayer becomes a joy for you!
(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2016 JMJ August 25, 2016 St. Louis, St. Joseph Calasanz Dear Family of Mary! July 25, 2016 “Dear children! I am looking at you and I see you lost; and you do not have prayer or joy in your heart. Return to prayer, little children, and put God in the first place and not man. Do not lose the hope which I am carrying to you. May this time, little children, every day, be a greater seeking of God in the silence of your heart; and pray, pray, pray until prayer becomes joy for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Since today we receive another message, I thought we could reflect on last month’s message one more time. As I read this message I see that Our Lady has given us everything we need to endure the difficulties of our time. “Dear children! I am looking at you and I see you lost; and you do not have prayer or joy in your heart.” How often do we feel lost, forget to pray, or lose our joy? It is pretty easy to get thrown off course. Our world comes barreling in on us through the media constantly. Our fears mount, we question our faith, and we get depressed. So fast! “Return to prayer, little children, and put God in the first place and not man.”Step one: to save ourselves from this downward spiral, we must pray, and in prayer put God on the throne of our hearts. NOT MAN! NOT THE THINGS OF MAN! NO WAY! “Do not lose the hope which I am carrying to you.” Like a child sent off to school with his lunch money in hand, Our Lady tells us to hang on to our hope, the hope she has brought to us. Without hope we will be prey to all sorts of sadness. “May this time, little children, every day, be a greater seeking of God in the silence of your heart…” Instead of surrounding ourselves with the constant din of the news and entertainment media, we can seek out silence. And in that silence, we can seek God. He will be found. “…and pray, pray, pray until prayer becomes joy for you.” Once we have found God in the silence of our hearts, we can just stay there, and talk to Him for as long as we want. He will listen. He always listens. And He will solve all our problems, calm our fears, show us His plan for us, and bring us joy!! That is all we need to make it through this stormy time. Thank you, dearest Mother, for responding to our call, and coming to us in Medjugorje! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2016
