On this special day, we remember Our Lady’s gift of her self to God in the Temple as a little girl. It is an incredible moment, when such a tiny person was as brave and selfless as any knight or warrior. Mary’s heart was brave and her love for God immense. We could all learn courage from Our little Mother. For instance, listen to her words in this message: July 02, 2014 “Dear children, I, the mother of all of you gathered here and the mother of the entire world, am blessing you with a motherly blessing and call you to set out on the way of humility. That way leads to the coming to know the love of my Son. My Son is almighty, He is in everything. If you, my children, do not become cognizant of this, then darkness/blindness rule in your soul. Only humility can heal you. My children, I always lived humbly, courageously and in hope. I knew, I became cognizant that God is in us and we are in God. I am asking the same of you. I desire for all of you to be with me in eternity, because you are a part of me. I will help you on your way. My love will envelop you like a mantle and make of you apostles of my light – of God’s light. With the love that comes forth from humility you will bring light to where darkness/blindness rule. You will be bringing my Son who is the light of the world. I am always alongside your shepherds and I pray that they may always be an example of humility for you. Thank you.” Our Lady always lived humbly, courageously and in hope!! This is our Mother! She can lead us in the same way of life, if we listen to her!! Today on her feast, let’s pray this Litany of the Life of Mary. As we meditate on all the moments of her life, we will see her courage, her humility, her hope, and most of all her total love of God. May we all become like our Mother!!!   Lord, have mercy Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. God the Father of Heaven, Have mercy on us. Holy Virgin, sprung from the race of David, pray for us. Holy Virgin, of the root of Jesse, pray for us. Holy Virgin, conceived without Original Sin, pray for us. Holy Virgin, presented in childhood in the temple, pray for us. Holy Virgin, espoused to the just Joseph, pray for us. Holy Virgin, bound by an inviolable vow of chastity, pray for us. Holy Virgin, gloriously saluted by the Angel, pray for us. Holy Virgin, full of grace, pray for us. Holy Virgin, blessed among all women, pray for us. Holy Virgin, consenting to the plea of Heaven, pray for us. Holy Virgin, conceiving by the operation of the Holy Ghost, pray for us. Holy Virgin, bearing in thy womb the Man-God, pray for us. Holy Virgin, Mother of the Lord, pray for us. Holy Virgin, Mother of the true Solomon, pray for us. Holy Virgin, Mother of God, pray for us. Holy Virgin, visiting thy cousin Elizabeth, pray for us. Holy Virgin, blest land, whence sprung the Saviour, pray for us. Holy Virgin, holy gate, through which the King of Heaven alone may pass, pray for us. Holy Virgin, journeying to Bethlehem with thy spouse Joseph, pray for us. Holy Virgin, bringing into the world thy Divine Son, pray for us. Holy Virgin, Mother of thine own Creator, pray for us. Holy Virgin, laying God the Son in a manger, pray for us. Holy Virgin, visited by the shepherds, pray for us. Holy Virgin, saluted by the Magi, pray for us. Holy Virgin, presenting thy Son to be circumcized, pray for us. Holy Virgin, submitting to the law of purification, pray for us. Holy Virgin, offering thy dear Son in the temple, pray for us. Holy Virgin, flying into Egypt to save thy Child, pray for us. Holy Virgin, returning into the land of Israel, pray for us. Holy Virgin, leading an obscure life at Nazareth, pray for us. Holy Virgin, keeping the feasts prescribed by the law, pray for us. Holy Virgin, afflicted at the loss of thy Child, when He was twelve years old, pray for us. Holy Virgin, sorrowfully seeking thy Child for three days, pray for us. Holy Virgin, honouring with thy presence the marriage feast of Cana, pray for us. Holy Virgin, graciously representing to thy Son the want of wine, pray for us. Holy Virgin, obtaining Christ’s first public miracle by thy intercession, pray for us. Holy Virgin, following thy Son in His ministrations, pray for us. Holy Virgin, sharing the sorrows of thy Son, pray for us. Holy Virgin, standing at the foot of the Cross, pray for us. Holy Virgin, confided by thy Son to John the Beloved Disciple, pray for us. Holy Virgin, pierced with a sword of sorrow, pray for us. Holy Virgin, filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, pray for us. Holy Virgin, assumed by thy Son into Heaven, pray for us. Holy Virgin, reigning in Heaven, our Queen, pray for us. Holy Virgin, called Blessed by all generations, pray for us. Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, Spare us, O Lord. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let Us Pray. Protect, O Lord, Thy servants by Thy gracious and abundant help, and grant that our confidence in the protection of Blessed Mary ever Virgin, and our humble imitation of her holy life, may obtain for us security against all enemies and all dangers, through Our Lord Jesus Christ.
