Christmas Novena, Day 4 – Comprehend that without Him you have no future.

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2016 J.M.J. December 18, 2017 Christmas Novena Day Four Dear Family of Mary! This is the fourth day of our Novena before Christmas! Again today the parish will climb Apparition Hill, praying the Rosary. We will join them live, through Mary TV! This novena is a big commitment for the parishioners. They must drop everything to go to the hill at 2:00 pm and climb. But they come. It seems that the more prayer, the more sacrifice, the more grace is poured out. It is a lesson to me about priorities. Prayer must be high on our list even at Christmas! The Lord speaks to Father Dolindo today about growing evil, and how to respond to it. Of course Jesus does not recommend that we rely on our own strength! Our Lady also comments in the message below about how we respond to the evils of our time. She says we work, gather and run without blessing, because we don’t pray. The answer? Stop, drop on our knees and pray, handing it all over to the Lord. Here is the message: December 25, 2008 “Dear children! You are running, working, gathering – but without blessing. You are not praying! Today I call you to stop in front of the manger and to meditate on Jesus, Whom I give to you today also, to bless you and to help you to comprehend that, without Him, you have no future. Therefore, little children, surrender your lives into the hands of Jesus, for Him to lead you and protect you from every evil. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Novena of Surrender to the Will of God, Day Four You see evil growing instead of weakening? Do not worry. Close your eyes and say to me with faith: “Thy will be done, You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that I will intervene as does a doctor and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Do not be upset, but close your eyes and say “You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that there is no medicine more powerful than my loving intervention. By my love, I promise this to you. O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times) Let us pray 7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys and 7 Glory bes. Lord Jesus, through the Intercession of your Mother, Mary, we want to stop worrying and start praying to you when evil threatens. May we learn to stop running and working on our own, and instead turn to you for help. May we learn to surrender our entire selves to You, that we may give you glory and honor all our days, and especially at this celebration of your Incarnation and Nativity. We are all yours through the guidance and intercession of our Mother, Mary! Amen. SURRENDER PRAYER God, my Father, I thank you for all that you are, and all that you do for me through your son Jesus Christ. I praise you for my life, for your mercy and for your Eucharist. In Jesus’ name, Father, I place myself entirely in your Heart. I surrender to you my whole self, my heart, my mind, my memory, my imagination, my will, my emotions, my passions, my body, my sexuality, my desire for human approval, my weaknesses, my desires, my sins. I surrender every person in my life to you. I surrender every situation in my life to you. I surrender every relationship I am in to you. I surrender every concern I have to you. I surrender every fear I have to you. I surrender every doubt I have to you. I surrender all confusion I have to you. I surrender all sadness I am experiencing in my heart to you. I surrender all my wounds to you. I surrender all anxiety and worry I have to you. I surrender all that deceives me in my heart to you. I trust you to care for me and others in a perfectly loving way. As I have emptied myself, and surrendered everything to you, I ask you now, Father, to fill me with your Holy Spirit and all the gifts and fruits of your Spirit. Holy Spirit you are the source of love, hope, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, tenderness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. Purify my desires. Help me to open my heart to you. Help me to become perfectly receptive as a pure child. Help me to believe in your love for me. Help me to hope in your love. Help me to receive from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all grace and virtues necessary for me to become the person you created me to be. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your son, God Almighty Father. O Most Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. I entrust this prayer to your Heart, and ask you to press it to your wounded heart and intercede for me to your Son Jesus. Please help me to be as you are, a perfect disciple, an obedient servant, a true child of God. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2017 PS. Christmas Novena, Day 3 – Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2016 J.M.J. December 17, 2017 Christmas Novena Day Three Dear Family of Mary! This is Day Three of our novena, and we consider surrender in terms of how we ask God for help with our difficulties. When we are ill, or have a problem we cannot solve, we turn to the Lord for help. But we may act like a child with a broken toy, who won’t let go of the toy long enough for the adult to fix it. The child may struggle to show the adult the problem, but never give over the toy to be fixed. We can be like that with our difficulties. We never quite trust the Lord and we can’t let go of our own solution! Here is what Our Lady once said about the need to surrender: June 25, 1988 “Dear children! I am calling you to that love which is loyal and pleasing to God. Little children, love bears everything bitter and difficult for the sake of Jesus who is love. Therefore, dear children, pray that God come to your aid, not however according to your desire, but according to His love. Surrender yourself to God so that He may heal you, console you and forgive everything inside you which is a hindrance on the way of love. In this way God can move your life, and you will grow in love. Dear children, glorify God with a hymn of love so that God’s love may be able to grow in you day by day to its fullness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Novena of Surrender to God’s Will, Day Three (Jesus speaks to Father Donlindo Ruotolo) How many things I do when the soul, in so much spiritual and material need turns to me, looks at me and says to me; “You take care of it,” then close its eyes and rests. In pain you pray for me to act, but that I act in the way you want. You do not turn to me, instead, you want me to adapt to your ideas. You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you, but rather sick people who tell the doctor how to [cure you]. So do not act this way, but pray as I taught you in the Our Father: “Hallowed be thy Name”, that is, be glorified in my need. “Thy kingdom come”, that is, let all that is in us and in the world be in accord with your kingdom. “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”, that is, in our need, decide as you see fit for our temporal and eternal life. If you say to me truly: “Thy will be done”. Which is the same as saying: “You take care of it”. I will intervene with all my omnipotence, and I will resolve the most difficult situations. O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times) Let us pray 7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys and 7 Glory bes. Lord Jesus, through the Intercession of your Mother, Mary, give us the grace to close the eyes of our souls, and rest with You, our Lord and God. May we let go of our own solutions to our problems, and instead accept Your plans for us. May we learn to entrust our entire selves to You, that we may give you glory and honor all our days, and especially at this celebration of your Incarnation and Nativity. We are all yours through the guidance and intercession of our Mother, Mary! Amen. You may want to also pray this Surrender Prayer!
