The present moment is ours!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018   J.M.J. January 17, 2018 St. Anthony Dear Family of Mary! Today we will begin with a word from St. Faustina. She was the Apostle of Mercy, given the task of spreading devotion to Jesus as the Merciful Savior. Oh, if only the suffering soul knew how it is loved by God, it would die of joy and an excess of happiness! Someday we will know the value of suffering, but then we will no longer be able to suffer. The present moment is ours. (963 – Diary) The present moment is ours! This is so very true. No matter what God is asking of us, the present moment is ours, the past is over, and the future is not in our hands. The present moment is ours, to give to the Lord with love and trust, knowing that He will use the gift in amazing ways! Here are several messages in which Our Lady talks about suffering, encouraging us to give our sufferings to God, for Him to use as He sees fit. We might meditate on them in our rosaries today, letting the wisdom of Our Lady form us: September 11, 1986 “Dear children! For these days while you are joyfully celebrating the Cross, I desire that your cross also would be a joy for you. Especially, dear children, pray that you may be able to accept sickness and suffering with love the way Jesus accepted them. Only that way shall I be able with joy to give out to you the graces and healings which Jesus is permitting me. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Tuesday, November 29, 1983 To Jelena: “I am your mother full of goodness, and Jesus is your great friend. Do not fear anything in His presence. Give Him your heart, from the bottom of your heart. Tell Him your sufferings, thus you will be invigorated in prayer, with a free heart, in a peace without fear.” March 25, 2006 “Courage, little children! I decided to lead you on the way of holiness. Renounce sin and set out on the way of salvation, the way which my Son has chosen. Through each of your tribulations and sufferings God will find the way of joy for you. Therefore, little children, pray. We are close to you with our love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” March 25, 2013 “Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you to take the cross of my beloved Son Jesus in your hands and to meditate on His passion and death. May your suffering be united in His suffering and love will win, because He who is love gave Himself out of love to save each of you. Pray, pray, pray until love and peace begin to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May 02, 2015 “Dear children, open your hearts and try to feel how much I love you and how much I desire for you to love my Son. I desire for you to come to know Him all the better, because it is impossible to know Him and not to love Him – because He is love. I, my children, know you. I know your pain and suffering because I lived through them. I laugh with you in your joy and I cry with you in your pain. I will never leave you. I will always speak to you with motherly tenderness. And I, as a mother, need your open hearts to spread the love of my Son with wisdom and simplicity. I need you to be open and sensitive to the good and mercy. I need you to be united with my Son, because I desire for you to be happy and to help me to bring happiness to all of my children. My apostles, I need you to show everyone the truth of God, so that my heart, which suffered and today suffers so much pain, can win in love. Pray for the holiness of your shepherds, so that in the name of my Son they can work miracles, because holiness works miracles. Thank you.” September 02, 2017 “Dear children, who could speak to you about the love and the pain of my Son better than I? I lived with Him; I suffered with Him. Living the earthly life, I felt pain because I was a mother. My Son loved the thoughts and the works of the Heavenly Father, the true God. And, as He said to me, He came to redeem you. I hid my pain through love, but you, my children, you have numerous questions. You do not comprehend pain. You do not comprehend that through the love of God you need to accept pain and endure it. Every human being will experience it to a lesser or greater measure. But with peace in the soul and in a state of grace, hope exists; this is my Son, God, born of God. His words are the seed of eternal life. Sown in good souls they bring numerous fruits. My Son bore the pain because He took your sins upon Himself. Therefore, you, my children, apostles of my love, you who suffer, know that your pain will become light and glory. My children, while you are enduring pain, while you are suffering, Heaven enters in you and you give a piece of Heaven and much hope to all those around you. Thank you.” The present moment is ours! May we entrust our sufferings to the Lord so that He may use them to save souls. May we endure our suffering, knowing that heaven will enter into us as we trust Jesus and pray. May we allow Him to work through us for all those around us in great need of His salvation. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2018 PS.
