“May this time be for you a time of prayer…

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2015 J.M.J. February 8, 2018 St. Jerome Emiliani St. Josephine Bakhita Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion. Open your hearts and read the Sacred Scripture, that through the testimonies you also may be closer to God. Above everything, little children, seek God and the things of God and leave earthly ones to the earth, because Satan is attracting you to the dust and sin. You are called to holiness and created for Heaven; therefore, seek Heaven and the things of Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (January 25, 2018) Yesterday I shared how Denis and I find ourselves unable to get up after Mass, but stay in silence with Jesus in the Tabernacle as if paralyzed. It is the sweet presence of the Savior that holds us so still. I do feel that this is a grace for us now, to be engulfed in the presence of Jesus and His Holy Spirit. As Our Lady told us, “May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion.” We need conversion in order to be ready for heaven. Jesus wants to prepare us through our prayer to be with Him forever. I received a wonderful confirmation of this gift of prayer from Paulette: Dear Cathy, I can totally relate to what you said in your last paragraph regarding being almost “paralyzed” in front of the Tabernacle praying after Mass. I am so blessed to have Perpetual Adoration at my Parish and these last couple of weeks after daily Mass, I have been drawn in there to sit in front of the Blessed Sacrament in silence. I, too, do not want to leave. Also, the alarm on my phone is set for 8:40 a.m.: Medjugorje time, 5:40 p.m. for Gospa’s arrival on earth. I always stop what I am doing and pray to the Blessed Mother, acknowledging Her presence on earth. Just this morning at home, while sitting in front of the computer with Mary TV on, and listening to the Rosary in Croatian, and praying to the Blessed Mother, all of a sudden I could not move. There was a “stillness” around me and I knew, God was present. I sat completely still for several minutes, it was overwhelming. This happened to me last year, same thing, same spot in my house, it’s not something you forget. This also happened to me a couple of times when I was in Medjugorje, sitting in front of Father Slavko’s grave in the cemetery behind the church. I am a huge proponent of silence. These last couple of years, I do not watch television, and rarely listen to music. In this noisy world, we have to “seek” the silence. Do you know the book; “The Power of Silence, Against The Dictatorship of Noise” by Robert Cardinal Sarah? It is amazing! It’s a slow read and in have to remind myself to not try and rush through. I’m underlining, in pencil, the most profound sentences, however, it’s almost the whole book! God Bless You and Denis for bringing us Medjugorje every day. I was blessed to go there 4 times, just back December 5th of last year, only 2 months ago! Love in Jesus & Mary, Paulette in California Thank you Paulette! I do believe that we are in a special time of grace for conversion right now, a time for deep prayer and preparation for heaven. Our Lady is bringing us this grace. May we all respond with our hearts to her call in these days. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2018
