Holy Saturday – Divine Mercy Novena Day Two

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018 Holy Saturday For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. March 31, 2018 Holy Saturday – Divine Mercy Novena Day 2 Dear Family of Mary! Today we wait with Our Lady near the tomb. We ponder the incredible price that Jesus paid for our sins. We marvel at His great love, which He pours out upon us, especially through our priests and religious. Today the Novena prayers are for our priests and religious. They are the bridge between us and God. On this day when Jesus lies in the tomb, we wonder what it would be like without them. Listen to what Our Lady says to us: April 2, 2007 “Dear children! Do not be hard hearted towards the mercy of God, which has been pouring out upon you for so long a time. In this special time of prayer, permit me to transform your hearts so that you may help me to have my Son resurrect in all hearts, and that my heart may triumph. Thank you!” Mirjana said, Our Lady added: “Your shepherds need your prayers.” Our Lady blessed all of us, and all religious articles, and once again emphasized that she gives her motherly blessing. But the greatest blessing is the blessing from the priests. Saint Faustina carried the mission to pray for priests, and in her Diary shared this prayer for priests: O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. (Diary, 1052) God’s Mercy passes through the hands of our priests. Let’s pray very much for them today. Divine Mercy Novena – Day Two Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS, and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. It was they who gave Me strength to endure My bitter Passion. Through them as through channels My mercy flows out upon mankind. Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service, that they may perform worthy works of mercy; and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard-upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end. Amen. Good Friday – Divine Mercy Novena Day One

Good Friday For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (c)Mateo Ivankovic 2016 March 30, 2018 Good Friday Divine Mercy Novena – Day 1 Dear Family of Mary! Today we begin the Divine Mercy Novena. It is a very powerful novena, sent through St. Maria Faustina Kowalska. Jesus made it clear through St. Faustina that He wanted to save all souls and bring them to heaven. But they had to be told! They needed to know about His Mercy. St. Faustina was given the great mission to spread the Mercy of Jesus to all souls: On one occasion, I heard these words: My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. (Diary 699) Our Lady is calling all souls to herself, that they might be healed and changed and made open to the graces of her Son’s Mercy as well. She told us: February 25, 2007 “Dear children! Open your heart to God’s mercy in this Lenten time. The heavenly Father desires to deliver each of you from the slavery of sin. Therefore, little children, make good use of this time and through meeting with God in confession, leave sin and decide for holiness. Do this out of love for Jesus, who redeemed you all with his blood, that you may be happy and in peace. Do not forget, little children: your freedom is your weakness, therefore follow my messages with seriousness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Let us pray: Divine Mercy Novena – Day One: Intention: Today bring to Me ALL MANKIND, ESPECIALLY ALL SINNERS, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. In this way you will console Me in the bitter grief into which the loss of souls plunges Me. Novena Prayers: Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from It. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy for ever and ever. Amen.
