Let’s prepare for today’s message!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018   May 2, 2018 St. Athanasius Dear Family of Mary! In preparation for today’s message through Mirjana, let’s review the message from April. We are such blessed children to have such a mother!! She is giving us her wisdom and guidance every month. Thank you Mother, for loving us so much!! Our Lady’s message of April 2nd, 2018: Dear children, through the great love of the Heavenly Father I am beside you as your mother and you are beside me as my children, as apostles of my love whom I ceaselessly gather around me. My children, you are those who, along with prayer, need to completely surrender to my Son so that you may no longer live but my Son may live in you – so that all those who do not know my Son may see Him in you and come to desire to know Him. Pray that in you they may see resolute humility and goodness, a readiness to serve others; that in you they may see that you live your vocation in the world with the heart, in communion with my Son; that in you they may see meekness, tenderness and love for my Son as well as for all brothers and sisters. Apostles of my love, you must pray much and cleanse your hearts so that you may be the first to walk on the way of my Son, that you may be the just who are united with the justice of my Son. My children, as apostles of my love, you must be united in the communion which emanates from my Son, so that my children who do not know my Son may recognize the communion of love and may come to desire to walk on the way of life, the way of unity with my Son. Thank you. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2018

The humanity of Jesus

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018   May 1, 2018 St. Joseph the Worker Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! Today I am calling you to live your new life with Jesus. May the Risen One give you strength to always be strong in the trials of life and to be faithful and persevering in prayer, because Jesus saved you by His wounds and by His Resurrection gave you new life. Pray, little children, and do not lose hope. May joy and peace be in your hearts and [may you] witness the joy that you are mine. I am with you and love you all with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (April 25, 2018) Our Lady wants us to have a new life with Jesus. But how can we live a new life with Jesus? What does a new life with Jesus look like? I believe it is our prayer life with Jesus that will change all the other aspects of our lives. Jesus, in His humanity, has brought the new life to us. He has imbued our human lives with His divinity. And through his humanity, He shows us our new life. Fr. Jacque Philippe writes extensively about prayer. Let me quote him on Jesus’ gift to us in His humanity. It is very beautiful: The humanity of Jesus is the primordial sacrament through which the Divinity makes itself accessible to human beings. As creatures of flesh and blood, we need the support of material things in order to attain to spiritual realities. God knows this, and it is what explains the whole mystery of the Incarnation. We need to see, to touch, to feel. Jesus Christ’s visible, physical humanity is the expression of God’s wonderful condescension toward us. Knowing what we are made of, he gives us the possibility of reaching divine things in a human way, touching what is divine by human means. Spirit has become flesh. Jesus is the way to God for us. St. Philip asked Jesus, “Lord show us the Father, and we will be satisfied,” and Jesus answered, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father” (Jn 14:8-9) There is a great and very beautiful mystery here. The humanity of Jesus in all its aspects, even those that are apparently humblest and least important, is for us an immense space for communion with God. Every aspect of his humanity, each of his characteristics, even the smallest and most hidden, each of his words, deeds, and gestures, every stage of his life from his conception in Mary’s womb to his Ascension, brings us into communion with God the Father if we receive it in faith. By exploring his humanity like a piece of land that belongs to us, going through it like a book written especially for us, making it our own in faith and love, we grow steadily in communion with the inaccessible, unfathomable mystery of God. A Christian’s mental prayer will then always be based on a certain relationship with our Savior’s humanity. (Jacque Philippe. Time for God. Scepter Publishers. 2008. P.58) How do we live our new life with Jesus? By knowing His human life, from start to finish. By meditating on His human life every day. By cherishing His life with us on earth, knowing it to be the way to the Father. And one of the ways to do this is to pray the mysteries of the Rosary! Our Lady’s Rosary brings us close to her Son’s life on earth, and then leads us into heaven! May we investigate, meditate, cherish and adore Jesus’ life with us on earth, and allow Him to show us the way to the Father! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2018 PS.
