(c) Anthony Zubac/Mary TV August 1, 2018 Youth Festival Day 1 Dear Family of Mary! Today begins the 29th Medjugorje Youth Festival! From August 1 to 6 there will be long days filled with prayer, the Rosary, Holy Mass, Testimonies, Teachings and Catechesis, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Veneration of the Cross, Processions with Our Lady and the Eucharist and finally Holy Mass on Mount Krizevac at Dawn on the Feast of the Transfiguration! Thousands of young people from around the world will join with the Parish of Medjugorje for this grace-filled event. And Our Lady will be blessing everyone with her love and care. In a world filled with conflict and division, where the faith is almost out of sight, the Youth Festival is a moment when God’s light and love can break forth. The young people are signs of God’s presence in the world, and they point to a future with God that is real. Their openness and joy rejuvenates even the most tired hearts. Their dancing and singing make all who attend or watch through the streams from the parish or Mary TV, feel young again!! There is Hope! There is Truth! There is Love!! Thank you to all of you who support Mary TV, because without your donations we would not be able to stream this event. You are giving a gift to countless others who cannot travel to Medjugorje, but will be joining through the internet. Thank you so much!! Let’s pray for all the young people gathered in Medjugorje. Let’s pray for the speakers who will share their experiences of God, or their expertise in the faith. Let’s pray for the Franciscans who wear themselves completely out during these 6 days. Let’s pray for the parishioners who open their homes and hearts to the thousands who attend from all over the world. And let’s pray for Archbishop Hoser, as he attends his first Youth Festival. May he be rejuvenated as well, as he takes pastoral care of all of us. The Schedule for streaming is on our home page. We will stream on the Channel all the sessions. (go to www.marytv.tv ) And as quickly as we can we will upload the video recordings of the day to an archive window on the home page so you can watch what you may miss. I’m told that we will even be able to stream the closing Mass on Mount Krizevac at 5 am Medj time – live!! Our new technology should be able to send the stream out to all of you, live!!! Also, can I ask that you pray for our team who will be working day and night. They are attempting coverage we have never before been able to achieve. They are amazingly dedicated!! Keep them in your prayers, please!! From August 2 to 5 the Daily Rosary will be streamed at 3:00 pm Medj time, so that we will not conflict with the Afternoon Session at 4:00 pm. Also, Mirjana will be having her August 2 apparition, in the morning on Thursday. We will record that apparition and make it available as soon as possible. I will close with the message Our Lady gave through Mirjana on August 2, 2017. It is long, and full of Motherly wisdom. We can pray for the young people, that they will be filled with Our Lady’s wisdom this week: August 02, 2017 “Dear children, according to the will of the Heavenly Father, as the mother of Him who loves you, I am here with you to help you to come to know Him and to follow Him. My Son has left you His foot-prints to make it easier for you to follow Him. Do not be afraid. Do not be uncertain, I am with you. Do not permit yourselves to be discouraged because much prayer and sacrifice are necessary for those who do not pray, do not love and do not know my Son. You help, by seeing your brothers in them. Apostles of my love, harken to my voice within you, feel my motherly love. Therefore, pray, pray by doing, pray by giving, pray with love, pray in work and thoughts, in the name of my Son. All the more love that you give, so much more of it you will also receive. Love which emanates from love illuminates the world. Redemption is love, and love has no end. When my Son comes to the earth anew, He will look for love in your hearts. My children, many are the acts of love which He has done for you. I am teaching you to see them, to comprehend them and to thank Him by loving Him and always anew forgiving your neighbors. Because to love my Son means to forgive. My Son is not loved if the neighbor cannot be forgiven, if there is not an effort to comprehend the neighbor, if he is judged. My children, of what use is your prayer if you do not love and forgive?
