The Power of the Litany of the Saints!
The Litany of Saints (c)Anthony Zubac November 1, 2018 Solemnity of All Saints Dear Family of Mary! October 25, 2017 “Dear children! I am calling you to be prayer in this time of grace. You all have problems, afflictions, sufferings and lack of peace. May saints be models to you and an encouragement for holiness; God will be near you and you will be renewed in seeking through your personal conversion. Faith will be hope to you and joy will begin to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady encourages us to call on the saints, especially in our afflictions, problems and sufferings. We all have done novenas to different saints to ask for their intercession in time of need. But in a powerful testimony that Mary TV will air very soon, Fr. Raymond Donohue shares another way in which the saints are our help from heaven for us. Fr. Ray is an exorcist, and he shares in his testimony about how the saints helped him during an exorcism he performed in Medjugorje. He was praying for three young women who were possessed by a powerful demon. Fr. Ray shared: “I kept doing the prayers of exorcism. I kept praying over them over and over again. She (one of the women) was fighting. She was biting me. I had to hold her mouth. She was screaming and yelling….and there was one man walking around with a Crucifix. And every time the Crucifix would come near she would scream more. But I kept holding her down, and I was praying those prayers most intently. And I had everybody start praying the Litany of the Saints. Demons do not like the Litany of the Saints. And one of those saints must have really touched that demon. And I could really feel it getting weaker…” So the Litany of Saints is a powerful resource against the demons! I had never thought of that. But it makes sense. When we pray the Litany of the Saints we call on many, many saints to come and help us. We need their assistance in a real way. It is not just pious words. We are calling down the great warriors of God to come to our aid. And they come!! I think I might try to pray the Litany of Saints more often, knowing the protection that the saints can bring to us! But at least today on this Solemnity, we can pray the Litany together and call for the intercession and protection of the Saints on our families, parishes, countries! I can’t wait for Fr. Raymond’s testimony to be posted on our website. He shares so many wonderful things about Our Lady and about Jesus. Look for it in the Fruit of Medjugorje archives or wait for it on the channel!!!
