Dear Family of Mary! Today we honor Mary as our Queen!! This feast has not been long declared. Pope Pius XII declared it on October 11, 1954, just four years after he proclaimed the Dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1950. It made sense that if Mary had been assumed into heaven, body and soul, she would now be seated at the right hand of her Son, in royal splendor. And so a feast in her honor as Queen of Heaven would benefit all the faithful! We would have recourse to our Queen for all our ills. Here is an excerpt from the encyclical. It seems long, but you will love reading it, as it speaks so well of the joy and glory of Our Lady!! The more we understand how God has raised her up, the better we will recognize the correctness of our recourse to her. She is our Mother and she is the Queen!! We are children of the Queen of Heaven!! Also, all the concerns and problems that Pope Pius XII enumerates have come to pass.  We are in such need of a rescue.  It is Our Lady of Medjugorje, Queen of Peace, who has come!  She is with us in Medjugorje to answer all the needs Pope Pius XII put in her hands. As she said to us:   June 25, 2007 “Dear children! Also today, with great joy in my heart, I call you to conversion. Little children, do not forget that you are all important in this great plan, which God leads through Medjugorje. God desires to convert the entire world and to call it to salvation and to the way towards Himself, who is the beginning and the end of every being. In a special way, little children, from the depth of my heart, I call you all to open yourselves to this great grace that God gives you through my presence here. I desire to thank each of you for the sacrifices and prayers. I am with you and I bless you all. Let all, therefore, try to approach with greater trust the throne of grace and mercy of our Queen and Mother, and beg for strength in adversity, light in darkness, consolation in sorrow; above all let them strive to free themselves from the slavery of sin and offer an unceasing homage, filled with filial loyalty, to their Queenly Mother. Let her churches be thronged by the faithful, her feast-days honored; may the beads of the Rosary be in the hands of all; may Christians gather, in small numbers and large, to sing her praises in churches, in homes, in hospitals, in prisons. May Mary’s name be held in highest reverence, a name sweeter than honey and more precious than jewels; may none utter blasphemous words, the sign of a defiled soul, against that name graced with such dignity and revered for its motherly goodness; let no one be so bold as to speak a syllable which lacks the respect due to her name. 49. All, according to their state, should strive to bring alive the wondrous virtues of our heavenly Queen and most loving Mother through constant effort of mind and manner. Thus will it come about that all Christians, in honoring and imitating their sublime Queen and Mother, will realize they are truly brothers, and with all envy and avarice thrust aside, will promote love among classes, respect the rights of the weak, cherish peace. No one should think himself a son of Mary, worthy of being received under her powerful protection, unless, like her, he is just, gentle and pure, and shows a sincere desire for true brotherhood, not harming or injuring but rather helping and comforting others. 50. In some countries of the world there are people who are unjustly persecuted for professing their Christian faith and who are deprived of their divine and human rights to freedom; up till now reasonable demands and repeated protests have availed nothing to remove these evils. May the powerful Queen of creation, whose radiant glance banishes storms and tempests and brings back cloudless skies, look upon these her innocent and tormented children with eyes of mercy; may the Virgin, who is able to subdue violence beneath her foot, grant to them that they may soon enjoy the rightful freedom to practice their religion openly, so that, while serving the cause of the Gospel, they may also contribute to the strength and progress of nations by their harmonious cooperation, by the practice of extraordinary virtues which are a glowing example in the midst of bitter trials. 51. By this Encyclical Letter We are instituting a feast so that all may recognize more clearly and venerate more devoutly the merciful and maternal sway of the Mother of God. We are convinced that this feast will help to preserve, strengthen and prolong that peace among nations which daily is almost destroyed by recurring crises. It encompasses the heaven about with the circle of its glory, the hands of the Most High have displayed it.” Whoever, therefore, reverences the Queen of heaven and earth – and let no one consider himself exempt from this tribute of a grateful and loving soul – let him invoke the most effective of Queens, the Mediatrix of peace; let him respect and preserve peace, which is not wickedness unpunished nor freedom without restraint, but a well-ordered harmony under the rule of the will of God; to its safeguarding and growth the gentle urgings and commands of the Virgin Mary impel us.    52. Earnestly desiring that the Queen and Mother of Christendom may hear these Our prayers, and by her peace make happy a world shaken by hate, and may, after this exile show unto us all Jesus, Who will be our eternal peace and joy, to you, Venerable Brothers, and to your flocks, as a promise of God’s divine help and a pledge of Our love, from Our heart We impart the Apostolic Benediction. Isn’t this beautiful!!! Such a joy!!! Notice this sentence: “We likewise ordain that on the same day the consecration of the human race to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary be renewed, cherishing the hope that through such consecration a new era may begin, joyous in Christian peace and in the triumph of religion.” I believe that Satan noticed this sentence as well. He began in grave earnest in the 50’s to destroy us all by unleashing the worst of all lies: “There is no God, you are God. There is no eternal life. This life is all you have.” It was his last great effort to defeat God, by stealing away God’s children. And so God sent the Mother, to retrieve her children and give them back to the real Father in Heaven, establishing a new time, a new era of peace. Our Lady came to Medjugorje to begin the showdown with the enemy. And we are now her extended hands, her instruments in the battle. This is it!! We must fight with her. Let us pray: The Litany of the Queenship of Mary Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. God our Father in heaven,                have mercy on us. God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us. God the Holy Spirit, have mercy on us. Holy Trinity, one God, have mercy on us. Holy Mary,  pray for us. Holy Mother of God, pray for us. Most honored of virgins, pray for us….. Chosen daughter of the Father,   Mother of Christ the King,   Glory of the Holy Spirit,    Virgin daughter of Zion,   Virgin poor and humble,   Virgin gentle and obedient,  Handmaid of the Lord,   Mother of the Lord,   Helper of the Redeemer,   Full of grace,   Fountain of beauty,   Model of virtue,   Finest fruit of the redemption,   Perfect disciple of Christ,   Untarnished image of the Church,    Woman transformed,   Woman clothed with the sun,   Woman crowned with stars,    Gentle Lady,   Gracious Lady,   Our Lady,   Joy of Israel,   Splendor of the Church,   Pride of the human race,   Advocate of grace,   Minister of holiness,   Champion of God’s People, Queen of Love,   Queen of mercy,   Queen of peace,   Queen of angels,   Queen of patriarchs and prophets,   Queen of apostles and martyrs,   Queen of confessors and virgins,   Queen of all saints,   Queen conceived without original sin,   Queen assumed into heaven, . Queen of all the earth,   Queen of heaven,   Queen of the universe, Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world, spare us, O Lord. Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world, hear us, O Lord. Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Let Us Pray: God of mercy, listen to the prayers of Your servants who have honored Your handmaid Mary as mother and queen.  Grant that by your grace we may serve You and our neighbor on earth and be welcomed into Your kingdom.  We ask this through Christ Our Lord.   (c)Mary TV 2019/Anthony Zubac   August 21, 2019St Pius X“The Rosary is the most beautiful and the most rich in graces of all prayers; it is the prayer that touches most the Heart of the Mother of God…and if you wish peace to reign in your homes, recite the family Rosary.” (Pope St. Pius X) Dear Family of Mary! Denis and I have become more and more aware of the spiritual warfare surrounding Medjugorje in these days. The battle between light and darkness has intensified. In our Church, in our societies, in our work places and in our families, there is a battle going on. But we must be very clear about this, our enemy is Satan. Evil is a person. And that person is the Fallen Angel, Satan. Yes, many people are behaving in evil ways. But the one who is instigating it all is the Devil. And God still hopes to save each human being, no matter how seemingly lost. To do that Satan must be defeated. And that defeat has been planned out in Heaven, by the Father. As St. Maximillian Kolbe said: “The Immaculate alone has from God the promise of victory over Satan. She seeks souls that will consecrate themselves entirely to her, that will become in her hands forceful instruments for the defeat of Satan and the spread of God’s kingdom.” Our Lady has received the promise of victory of Satan, and she is looking for souls who will become her instruments, who together with her will bring Satan’s plans down. I believe that in Medjugorje, Our Lady launched her most concerted effort to form her faithful instruments. It is by living Our Lady’s school in Medjugorje that we can be formed into reliable and trustworthy companions in the battle that Our Lady is waging against her adversary. Our Lady’s school is simple but powerful. She has arranged her teaching around 5 simple components: Prayer Fasting The Holy Bible Confession The Holy Eucharist These are her five stones! Similar to the five smooth stones that David picked up as he approached Goliath, these stones, though seemingly small and harmless, are in fact deadly for the Devil. Why? Because, when lived with the heart, they form us into faithful children of God, who will not be overcome by the assaults of the enemy, but instead will advance the Kingdom of Heaven by their lives. Our Lady needs us to be those faithful children. She needs us to begin (or begin again) to live her messages, which all come out of these five stones. In living those messages, we will be her instruments who will help her build the new time, the time of Peace!! So Denis and I want to begin a concerted effort to live the five stones, and to support all of you in living them. We believe that this is the best way to do spiritual warfare against the enemy. He would get us all tangled up in worries and fears, focusing on the evil and being discouraged. But we are called to focus on Our Lady and on her messages as the way to peace and hope. And If we do this successfully, we, under Our Lady’s leadership, will help taken down the enemy of our souls and vanquished his kingdom. During our Daily Rosary we will work on the “stones” and we will add a succinct Spiritual Warfare prayer as well. Thank you to all of you shipmates who join us in prayer. If you cannot pray with us, don’t worry, you can live the 5 stones in any circumstance. We are all join by our love of Mother Mary!! And she needs us to bring about her victory of the evil one.
