33 Day Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 28

(c)Mary TV/Anthony Zubac 2019  Transforming the Mysteries into you life!       October 1, 2019St. Teresa of the Child Jesus33 Day Consecration – Day 28 Dear Family of Mary! 33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 28 In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit! Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary! Let’s continue to use Our Lady’s September 25, 2019 message as our instruction on the power and purpose of the Rosary. “…Little children, pray the Rosary and meditate the mysteries of the Rosary because, in your life, you are also passing through joys and sorrows. In this way, you are transforming the mysteries into your life, because life is a mystery until you place it into God’s hands…” (September 25, 2019) “Meditate the mysteries of the Rosary!” Fr. Shamon encouraged us to just look at the mysteries and not to analyze them intellectually.   Here is one example of his experience of meditating the mysteries in this way: One day I was saying the Glorious Mysteries. I was thinking of the second one; the Ascension. The thought just surfaced of how (at the Ascension) the apostles were being left all alone- but with Mary! I wondered how those eleven ordinary men could change the world. Then out of the blue I began thinking of Our Lady’s apparitions to young children at Lourdes, Fatima, and Medjugorje. I thought they were just a few kids and yet they affected so many millions. At Medjugorje I thought of the 15 million who have already been touched. [This is the figure as of 1990, millions more today!] Then it became quite clear to me of how much greater impact the apostles must have had, for they not only had seen Christ, they had been with Him for years. Then, too, the Mother of God was their companion for over 15 years after His Ascension. Wow! Before I could go on, I was on the Third Mystery.” (Fr. Albert Shamon. “The Power of the Rosary”. P. 13) Fr. Shamon shows us exactly how to transform the mysteries into our own lives. And actually in doing so, our lives become much less a mystery to us, because we have placed them firmly in God’s hands!! More tomorrow!  Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary: “O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary of Pompei, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven”. (Blessed Bartolo Longo) We commit ourselves to praying the Rosary for your intentions, dearest Mary, our Mother, as You enter this final battle with Satan, for the sake of souls. We will take up the Rosary as an obligation that we will fulfill with great joy! Together we will pray for Your Triumph over Satan, and for the coming of a New Time of Peace which has been given to us through You, Oh Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!! Amen Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen Now we pray our Rosary for today! Sorrowful Mysteries!!  In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2019

33 Day Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 27

(c)Mary TV September 30, 201933 Day Consecration – Day 27 Dear Family of Mary! 33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 27 In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit! Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary! We will continue to listen to Our Lady’s September 25, 2019 Message, since she is speaking right to us about our consecration to her Rosary! Shamon understands how to meditate the mysteries. He is so down to earth and practical. But he is right. Here is what he says: One of the greatest objections to the Rosary is precisely because it is a thinking prayer. Some will say, “I don’t like to think.” Or “I can’t concentrate on the mysteries. My mind wanders. That’s why I quit saying the Rosary.” I think the trouble here is that too often we try to intellectualize the mysteries. We peer into them to extract lessons from them. Rather, we should just look at the mysteries of the Rosary in the Ignatian sense of contemplation. St. Ignatius said to just look at the scenes of Our Lord’s life without trying to pull out all kinds of lessons and applications to your life. Just be there, like watching the TV series “You Were There!” The lessons and applications will come spontaneously. Haven’t you gone to a movie and had a friend ask how you liked it? As you gave your answer, you were unconsciously analyzing the picture. Without even being aware of it, you were drawing conclusions about the picture just by looking at the movie. So in the Rosary. Just look at the scenes of Our Lord’s life with Our Lady for the length of 10 Hail Marys. Like a movie, they will begin to say something to you without your having to do anything but look. While you are looking at the scenes, God is working in your heart. (Fr. Albert Shamon. “The Power of the Rosary”. P. 13) Fr. Shamon makes a good point. Our Lady doesn’t want us to only intellectualize the mysteries. As she just told us in the September 25, 2019 message – we need to meditate on the mysteries so as to transform them into our lives. We do this by drawing comparisons and seeing the connections between the lives of Jesus and Mary, and our lives. We are all people! We can understand each other, and connect on the deepest of levels, our humanity! The Holy Spirit will help us by drawing our attention to the aspects that are important for us! I think Our Lady wants us to learn something here about how to pray and let the Holy Spirit work in our prayer.
