33 Day Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 30

October 3, 2019  33 Day Consecration – Day 30 Dear Family of Mary! 33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 30 In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit! Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary! “Little children, pray the Rosary and meditate the mysteries of the Rosary because, in your life, you are also passing through joys and sorrows. In this way, you are transforming the mysteries into your life, because life is a mystery until you place it into God’s hands.” (September 25, 2019) One last thought from Fr. Shamon! Another time when I was meditating on the second Joyful Mystery, the Visitation, the thought surfaced of the role of women in the redemption. It struck me that the first people who were in on the secrets of God were women: Mary and Elizabeth. Both Joseph and Zechariah were really on the outside looking in. The women led the men. I told that to some priest and commented how can anyone ever say that women in the Church are second-class citizens. This quick-witted priest quipped, “The babes in their wombs were men.” Well, anyway, I hope you see what I mean. If you just look, almost leisurely, at the scenes of Our Lord’s life, you will reap fruit you never suspected. For our sights, God will give us insights! The ten Hail Mary’s are like background music while you are watching Our Lord’s life. Background music helps us when reading or working. WE don’t pay much attention to the music, but it helps us. So, in reciting the Hail Marys, you don’t pay much attention to them; they are the background music to help us contemplate the mysteries of Our Lord’s life.   (Fr. Alfred Shamon. “The Power of the Rosary” – p. 16) Fr. Shamon is so practical and down to earth. He makes me want to pray the Rosary! I don’t feel judged or behind. Yes, we must focus on the mysteries. They are life giving. I need to grow in looking at the mysteries. I hope in our Daily Rosary to begin to look at the mysteries by introducing them better, adding a small scripture to get our attention. But then, I want to just become present to the mysteries, using all my senses and faculties to be there with Jesus and Mary. Then the Holy Spirit will do the rest! We are close to the end of this consecration. What a blessing it has been for us!!  Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary: “O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary of Pompei, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven”. (Blessed Bartolo Longo) We commit ourselves to praying the Rosary for your intentions, dearest Mary, our Mother, as You enter this final battle with Satan, for the sake of souls. We will take up the Rosary as an obligation that we will fulfill with great joy! Together we will pray for Your Triumph over Satan, and for the coming of a New Time of Peace which has been given to us through You, Oh Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!! Amen Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen Now we pray our Rosary for today!
