April 19, 2020 Reflection – Divine Mercy Sunday!

Jesus, I trust in You!! April 19, 2015 Second Sunday of Easter Divine Mercy Sunday Dear Family of Mary! Today is the Feast of Divine Mercy! Jesus told St. Faustina His intentions for this day: 699. On one occasion, I heard these words: My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy (note139) be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. (Dairy 699) We are so blessed to see this day, when the Feast of Mercy is celebrated throughout the world! How many souls are being saved by the fervent prayers of the Church on this Feast! Jesus is pouring out His Mercy upon all, even the most lost. We are so blessed! Our Lady wants us to open our hearts to Her Son’s Mercy: April 2, 2007 “Dear children, Do not be hard hearted towards the mercy of God, which has been pouring out upon you for so long a time. In this special time of prayer, permit me to transform your hearts so that you may help me to have my Son resurrect in all hearts, and that my heart may triumph. Thank you!” Our Lady is with us in Medjugorje to bring us to the Heart of Jesus, Divine Mercy!  Today, let’s pray this beautiful litany that was composed by St. Faustina. It is designed to help the doubting soul. St. Faustina wrote: “Let the doubting soul read these considerations on Divine Mercy and become trusting (949).” Indeed, our faith will also be strengthened by this litany. Litany to Divine Mercy Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. God, the Father of heaven, have mercy on us. God, the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us. God, the Holy Spirit, have mercy on us. Holy Trinity, one God, have mercy on us. Divine Mercy, greatest attribute of God, we trust in You. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, King of mercy, who with You and the Holy Spirit shows us mercy now and forever. Amen. (From St. Faustina’s Diary, 949) http://www.faustyna.pl/zmbm/en/litany-to-the-divine-mercy/ And here is a beautiful prayer of consecration that St. Faustina wrote to Our Lady. May our hearts join the Immaculate Heart of Mary in extoling the Mercy of God! A Prayer to Our Lady written by St. Faustina: MARY, IMMACULATE VIRGIN O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Pure crystal for my heart, You are my strength, O secure anchor, You are a shield and protection for a weak heart. O Mary, you are pure and unparalleled, Virgin and Mother at one and the same time; You’re beautiful as the sun, by nothing defiled. Nothing is worthy of comparison to the image of Your soul. Your beauty enthralled the Thrice-Holy One’s eye, That He came down from heaven, forsaking the Eternal See’s throne, And assumed from Your Heart Body and Blood, Hiding for nine months in the Virgin’s Heart. O Mother, Virgin, this will no one comprehend, That the infinite God is becoming a man; It’s only love’s and His inscrutable mercy’s purpose. Through You, Mother – it’s given us to live with Him forever. O Mary, Virgin Mother and Heaven’s Gate, Through You salvation came to us; Every grace to us streams forth through Your hands, And faithful imitation of You only will sanctify me. O Mother, Virgin – most beautiful Lily. Your Heart was for Jesus the first tabernacle on earth, And that, because Your humility was the deepest, Wherefore You were raised above Angel choirs and Saints. O Mary, my sweet Mother, To You I turn over my soul, my body and my poor heart. Be the safeguard of my life, Especially at death’s hour, in the final fight (Diary 161). O Mary, Queen of Peace, Queen of Divine Mercy, Pray for us! Thank you for joining us in this devotion to the Divine Mercy!! May the Divine Mercy – the Sacred Heart of Jesus, bless us all with His Rays of Mercy, that we will be made worthy of Heaven and Life Eternal with the Most Holy Trinity. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! April 18, 2020 Reflection – Saturday of Easter Week, Divine Mercy Novena Day 9

Cross Mountain!  Pray for lukewarm souls! April 18, 2020 Saturday of Easter Week Divine Mercy Novena – Day 9 Dear Family of Mary! Today we pray for all souls who are lukewarm. These are souls who barely care about God and who live their lives in a forgetful fog. They do not know where they are going or why, because they do not recognize God as God, and do not desire Him. They are indifferent to everything spiritual. We could say that our materialistic, hedonistic cultures create such souls, by distracting them from their true destiny, and convincing them that this life is all that matters. Our Lady spoke about such souls in this message: November 20, 1986 “Dear children! Today also I am calling you to live and follow with a special love all the messages which I am giving you. Dear children, God does not want you lukewarm and undecided, but that you totally surrender to Him. You know that I love you and that out of love I long for you. Therefore, dear children, you also decide for love so that you will long for and daily experience God’s love. Dear children, decide for love so that love prevails in all of you, but not human love, rather God’s love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady offers a way to heal our indifferent and lukewarm hearts in this message. Her messages are a helping hand into the real world of faith and love. She is with us to guide us into the true reality of life with God! No more indifference for us! Jesus spoke to St. Faustina about lukewarm souls as well: 367. + On one occasion, Jesus gave me to know that when I pray for intentions which people are wont to entrust to me, He is always ready to grant His graces, but souls do not always want to accept them: My Heart overflows with great mercy for souls, and especially for poor sinners. If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My Heart as from a fount overflowing with mercy. For them I dwell in the tabernacle as King of Mercy. I desire to bestow My graces upon souls, but they do not want to accept them. You, at least, come to Me as often as possible and take these graces they do not want to accept. In this way you will console My Heart. Oh, how indifferent are souls to so much goodness, to so many proofs of love! My Heart drinks only of the ingratitude and forgetfulness of souls living in the world. They have time for everything, but they have no time to come to Me for graces. Indifference and lukewarm faith are rampant in our time. This last day is a plea for prayer for countless souls who have no idea what road they are on. To be lukewarm is to deny the future, to deny eternal life and the reality of Heaven and Hell. To be lukewarm is worse than being dead. As Jesus said in scripture: “`I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent. (Rev 3:15-19) Divine Mercy is the source of all those things we lack – gold, garments, and salve. Divine Mercy can make up for all we lack in holiness and fervor for the Lord. We need to turn to God’s mercy and surrender completely to Him now, before it is too late. Divine Mercy Novena, Day Nine: Today bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: ‘Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.’ For them, the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy. Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love, let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy. Amen. Tomorrow is the great Feast of Divine Mercy! May we celebrate this day with all our hearts! It is the Day of Mercy for all souls. Now we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet: Here is a link to directions on how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet (by the Marians of the Immaculate Conception in Stockbridge, Massachusetts: https://www.thedivinemercy.org/message/devotions/pray-the-chaplet In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
