July 20, 2020 Reflection – Walk humbly with your God…
“Cry out the name of the Heavenly Father” (c) Mary TV July 20, 2020 St. Apollinaris, Bishop, Martyr Dear Family of Mary! “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) This verse from Micah has always struck me as one of those moments when God, after much effort to draw His people back to Himself, just sat down of a rock and shook His head. What more could He do to show us the way? So wayward are we humans. And so with a last sigh, He told us again what He has said from the beginning: “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) I was saying to Denis yesterday morning after our morning Rosary, that it seems that God has given us everything we need to know about His will for us in the Ten Commandments, along with the Beatitudes and 1 Corinthians 13. Why is it so hard for us to follow Him? “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) I think that we are much more childlike than we admit, and that we need our Mother to come and teach us how to live these three commands. She knows better than any other human how to live these beautiful commands. Do the Right. Love goodness. Walk humbly with your God. She did the right from the time of her conception. She loved righteousness, doing the right in every circumstance. That is why the Father could trust her with His Son. She loved goodness. She rejoiced in the good! Just read her Magnificat to understand what she loved! She loved God first, and mercy because it is God’s heart. She always walked humbly with her God. From the Immaculate Conception to the Assumption, Mary walked in complete trust and obedience to God, always ready to serve, always ready to pray, always ready to love. Our Lady is the very best guide in finding what is good and what the Lord requires of us. And in this most turbulent time, she is with us in Medjugorje! She will help us find our way to a truly humble devotion to God. July 02, 2014 “Dear children, I, the mother of all of you gathered here and the mother of the entire world, am blessing you with a motherly blessing and call you to set out on the way of humility. That way leads to the coming to know the love of my Son. My Son is almighty, He is in everything. If you, my children, do not become cognizant of this, then darkness/blindness rule in your soul. Only humility can heal you. My children, I always lived humbly, courageously and in hope. I knew, I became cognizant that God is in us and we are in God. I am asking the same of you. I desire for all of you to be with me in eternity, because you are a part of me. I will help you on your way. My love will envelop you like a mantle and make of you apostles of my light – of God’s light. With the love that comes forth from humility you will bring light to where darkness/blindness rule. You will be bringing my Son who is the light of the world. I am always alongside your shepherds and I pray that they may always be an example of humility for you… Thank you.” Mother, help us to set out on the way of humility today. Help us to walk humbly with our God. May we love the good and do the right, out of love for Jesus. And may we always stay very close to you, our Light, our Sweetness and our Hope! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020 PS.
