The November 28, Reflection – The Final Day of our Novena!

Votive Candles before the Lord! November 28, 2020 Dear Family of Mary, We have prayed 2 consecutive novenas for our countries and the world.  Today we offer a prayer to Jesus, thanking Him for having heard our prayers.  Our Lady told St. Faustina: “My daughter, what I demand from you is prayer, prayer, and once again prayer, for the world and especially for your country. For nine days receive Holy Communion in atonement and unite yourself closely to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. During these nine days you will stand before God as an offering; always and everywhere, at all times and places, day or night, whenever you wake up, pray in the spirit. In spirit, one can always remain in prayer.” (Diary 325) I believe this is a powerful way to pray every day for our countries and the world, so much in need of God’s Mercy.  Here is a prayer using St. Faustina’s words that we can pray today, as offerings before the Lord for our countries. PRAYER FOR DIVINE MERCY O greatly merciful God, You who are infinite goodness, today all humanity cries out from the depths of our misery to Your mercy, to Your compassion, O God.  Gracious God, do not reject the prayers of this earth’s exiles! O Lord, You are goodness beyond our understanding, and You know well our pain and suffering. Because by our own power we cannot ascend to You, we implore You, bless us in abundance with Your grace, and increase Your mercy in us, so that we may faithfully do Your holy will throughout our life and at death’s hour. Let the greatness of Your mercy shield us from the powers of our salvation’s enemies, that we may with confidence, as Your humble children, await Your final coming – that day known to You alone. And we expect to obtain everything promised us by Jesus in spite of all our weakness and misery. For Jesus is our Hope, and through His merciful Heart, as through an open gate, may we pass to eternal life with You in Heaven. Amen. (Adapted from the Diary of Sister Faustina, 1570) Also, tomorrow is the beginning of Advent!  The message we received from Our Lady on November 25, 2020 will guide us through this Advent! “Dear children! This is a time of love, warmth, prayer and joy. Pray, little children, for little Jesus to be born in your hearts. Open your hearts to Jesus who gives Himself to each of you. God sent me to be joy and hope in this time, and I am saying to you: Without little Jesus you do not have the tenderness or the feeling of Heaven which is hidden in the Newborn. Therefore, little children, work on yourselves. By reading the Sacred Scripture you will discover Jesus’ birth and joy, as in the first days which Medjugorje gave to humanity. History will be truth which, also today, is being repeated in you and around you. Work on and build peace through the Sacrament of Confession. Reconcile with God, little children, and you will see miracles around you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” November 25, 2020 In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020
