Champion General! October 28, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! I am re-posting this reflection because it contains the Litany of Our Lady of Victory! We must pray this litany with gusto these days!! She is our Champion General!!! As Fr. Leon told us: “Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, Fair as the moon, bright as the sun, Terrible as an army set in battle array?” (Song of Songs 6:10) It is Mary, Mother of Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords! She is: “Yper-machịtikós Stratịgós.” “Super-fighting General.” “Champion Leader.” “Champion General” Remember in some medieval paintings of Our Lady, she is holding a huge bat and she’s beating these demons; she’s whacking the stuffing out of them. This is who she is, Our Champion General. We are at war, and it is a disaster if we don’t realize it.
