Repent! March 9, 2022 St. Frances of Rome Dear Family of Mary! In the first reading for Mass today, we hear about the incredible repentance of the people of Nineveh when Jonah prophesied to them (Jonah 3:1-10)! Even the King of Nineveh repented in sack clothe and ashes! But in the Gospel from Luke 11:29-32, Jesus is amazed that His generation, because they refused to repent at Jesus’ words. It makes you wonder what it could take to bring about even one conversion! Our hearts can be so hard!! Our Lady has called for repentance in her messages, with the same sort of alarm as Jesus had in the Gospel. The people of our day have not been hearing her call and turning to Jesus. It seems that the conversion of even one soul is a bigger miracle than feeding 5000 people with a few loaves and fishes. We are in a very serious time for the world. The real danger is that many souls will not repent and turn to Jesus even now. Let’s listen to Our Lady’s words about repentance. In this message Our Lady speaks of a time in the future when God will bring some kind of judgment upon the world. She was asking for prayer for those who had not converted yet: Thursday, August 15, 1985 (Mirjana) “My angel, pray for unbelievers. People will tear their hair, brother will plead with brother, he will curse his past life lived without God. They will repent, but it will be too late. Now is the time for conversion. I have been exhorting you for the past four years. Pray for them. Invite everyone to pray the Rosary.” In this message Our Lady asks us to turn and repent ourselves, so we will be more pleasing to God: May 2, 2010″Dear children; Today, through me, the good Father calls you to, with your soul filled with love, to set out on a spiritual visitation. Dear children, be filled with grace, sincerely repent for your sins and yearn for the good. Yearn also in the name of those who have not come to know the perfection of the good. You will be more pleasing to God. Thank you.” And in this message, Our Lady makes it very clear that we must repent, turn, and follow her Son, now as never before. We see that even after more than 30 years, many of us had not yet repented and given our lives completely to God: March 2, 2013“Dear children! Anew, in a motherly way, I am calling you not to be of a hard heart. Do not shut your eyes to the warnings which the Heavenly Father sends to you out of love. Do you love Him above all else? Do you repent for having often forgotten that the Heavenly Father, out of His great love, sent his Son to redeem us by the Cross? Do you repent for not yet having accepted the message? My children, do not resist the love of my Son. Do not resist hope and peace. Along with your prayer and fasting, by His cross, my Son will cast away the darkness that wants to surround you and come to rule over you. He will give you the strength for a new life. Living it according to my Son, you will be a blessing and a hope to all those sinners who wander in the darkness of sin. My children, keep vigil. I, as a mother, am keeping vigil with you. I am especially praying and watching over those whom my Son called to be light-bearers and carriers of hope for you – for your shepherds. Thank you.” It seems that in this message Our Lady was trying to prepare us for these days we are in today. Let’s respond to her, even now at this late date. Lent is a time of repentance. May we live this time with seriousness. May we help others to do the same! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022
