The 33rd Youth Festival in Medjugorje, Day 2 August 2, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! The Youth Festival in Medjugorje is now in full swing! Early this morning the young people will climb Apparition Hill, and place this week of prayer, meditation, teachings and testimonies into Our Lady’s hands, that she will guide them and pray for them. Here is the full schedule for Tuesday, August 2: TUESDAY, 2. 8. 2022 06.00 – 06.40 Rosary on Apparition Hill at Our Lady’s statue (The joyful mysteries) 09.00 Prayer to the Holy Spirit 09.30 Catechesis 10.30 Testimonies 12.00 The Angelus RECESS 17.00 Testimonies 18.00 Rosary 19.00 Holy Mass 20.30 – 21.30 Procession with Our Lady’s statue and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament At the opening Holy Mass on Monday evening, the celebrant, Cardinal Juan Jose Omella from Spain, opened his powerful homily with these words: “Each of us can ask ourselves, why did I come to this corner of Europe, what am I doing here. Many of us, like me, are here for the first time. Perhaps we can ask ourselves the same questions. Maybe some friends encouraged you to come here. But if you are here, it is because Jesus and Mary wanted you to be here. A unique week is beginning. Abandon yourselves and be carried and guided by Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary!” The Cardinal is right! Our Lady and Jesus are in charge in Medjugorje!! Let us abandon ourselves to them, allowing them to guide us and lead us in these most decisive days for our world. Heaven is our goal, and Jesus and Mary are our guides. Even if we are participating through the internet, we have also been called by Our Lady to be there with her in this way! She needs us!! Please pray for our Mary TV Team as they continue to provide such beautiful coverage of the Festival. Everything they do for us comes from their hearts out of love for Our Lady!
