Youth Festival in Medjugorje, Day 5 Happy Birthday, Dearest Mother Mary!! August 5, 2022 Day 5 of the Youth Festival The Birthday of Our Lady Dear Family of Mary! In 1984 Our Lady told the visionaries that on August 5, 1984 it would be her 2000th birthday! She told them she was actually born on August 5, and that in 1984 it would be 2000 years! She wanted to celebrate that birthday in a special way! She wanted to shower down graces upon all of her children in Medjugorje! She asked for prayer and fasting for three days before her 2000th birthday. And many miracles happened on that day! Collected below are her messages about that wonderful day: Sunday, August 5, 1984 The celebration of the second millennium of Mary’s birthday was preceded by three days of fasting and continuous prayer. Seventy priests heard confessions without rest; there were a great number of conversions. On that day Our Lady said: “Never in my life have I cried with sorrow, as I have cried this evening with joy. Thank you!” In anticipation of this day Our Lady had said: “The priest who will hear confession will have great joy on that day.” (It was said that the robes of the priests hearing confessions were wet with the tears of the penitents that day!) During these 3 days of fasting and continuous prayer the visionaries say the Blessed Virgin was very joyful. Our Lady repeated: “I am very happy, continue, continue. Continue to pray and to fast.” Her joy seemed to have reached a peak Sunday, August 5th. Like a flower when it blooms, and full of joy, Our Lady said:“Continue, continue, open your hearts, ask God and I will ask for you.” Well, today is the 2038th Birthday of Our Lady! We have had the great grace of 41 years of her presence with us, and today we can thank her from the bottom of our hearts for remaining with us in Medjugorje! Today, we can all offer up something in her honor – an extra Rosary, fasting on bread and water, confession and communion! She will accept anything done with love! And let’s pray in thanksgiving for her presence with us. The Youth Festival continues to be incredible! This is the last day of sessions with a powerful send-off tonight for all the participants!! And in the early hours of Saturday, Holy Mass will be offered on Cross Mountian in honor of the Transfiguration. Join Mary TV for all the events!
