Pray therefore the Lord of the Harvest…   July 9, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! In our Gospel for today, we see Jesus traveling from town to town, spreading the Kingdom and healing His people. It was His hallmark: to preach and heal and call all people into His Kingdom:” And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:35-38, RSV-CE) Doesn’t this sound like our world today? So many people harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd? And thanks be to God, Our Lady is answering the call Jesus gave in the Gospel “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”(Mt 9:38) She is gathering her children around her and sending us out to harvest. But she acknowledges that our enemy is also at work, harvesting: July 25, 2020 “Dear children! In this peaceless time in which the devil is harvesting souls to draw them to himself, I am calling you to persevering prayer, so that in prayer you discover the God of love and hope. Little children, take the Cross in your hands. May it be your encouragement for love to always win, in a special way now when the Cross and faith are rejected. You be a reflection and an example with your lives that faith and hope are still alive and a new world of peace is possible. I am with you and intercede for you before my Son, Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady sees that the devil is doing the harvesting of souls in our day, in an extraordinary way. And so she calls us to become like her Son, Jesus, and harvest souls for God! She wants us to “be a reflection and an example with your lives that faith and hope are still alive and a new world of peace is possible!” We can harvest souls for the Lord, by our lives that reflect His love and give an example of how to live faith and hope. We must try to harvest souls, through our goodness and example. Mother Mary is with us and prays for us to be steadfast in this call. What a glorious call it is! My children, be ready!   July 8, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! In the Gospel for today, Matthew 9:18-26, Jesus raises a little girl from death. He was mocked for even trying to help her by the people who had gathered. But He paid no attention to them, and after they were put out of the house, he took the little girl by the hand and raised her from death to life. We are being called to prayer and to the works of love that Jesus did, in our time. It is a matter of love, not of power! Jesus will help us to bring faith and healing and love to those we meet. It only takes our “yes” to His call. Mother Mary would have us do these works. Here is a message she gave us in 2017, encouraging us to pray and love in our day: June 2, 2017 “Dear children, as in the other places where I have come to you, also here I am calling you to prayer. Pray for those who do not know my Son, for those who have not come to know the love of God, against sin, for the consecrated- for those whom my Son called to have love and the spirit of strength for you, for the Church. Pray to my Son, and the love which you experience from His nearness will give you the strength to make you ready for the works of love, which you will do in His name. My children, be ready. This time is a turning point. That is why I am calling you anew to faith and hope. I am showing you the way by which you need to go, and those are the words of the Gospel. Apostles of my love, the world is in such need of your arms raised towards Heaven, towards my Son, towards the Heavenly Father. Much humility and purity of heart are needed. Have trust in my Son and know that you can always be better. My motherly heart desires for you, apostles of my love, to be little lights of the world, to illuminate there where darkness wants to begin to reign, to show the true way by your prayer and love, to save souls. I am with you. Thank you.” May we pray as Mother asks. May we believe as she recommends. May we love as she calls us to love.
