June 2, 2025 Reflection – Holy Spirit Novena, Day 4

The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 4 Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?   June 2, 2025 The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 4 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 4 of our Novena to the Holy Spirit! The Second Reading is from the Acts of the Apostles, and describes how St. Paul prepared those he taught to understand and receive the Holy Spirit! This process is not complicated, but it is most important. Many of us don’t understand the Holy Spirit! Who is He? Why do we need Him? Etc. Truly we don’t understand the Holy Spirit from books. It is an experience that we all must receive! Here is the reading: Acts of the Apostles 19:1-8 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior of the country and down to Ephesus where he found some disciples. He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” They answered him, “We have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” He said, “How were you baptized?” They replied, “With the baptism of John.” Paul then said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Altogether there were about twelve men. He entered the synagogue, and for three months debated boldly with persuasive arguments about the Kingdom of God. The word of the Lord. St. Paul helped the 12 men to understand the Scriptures, so that they would be open to the Holy Spirit. We need to understand the truth about the Holy Spirit as well. Our Lady has been teaching us about the Holy Spirit in her messages. Here is one: May 25, 1998 “Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer and sacrifice, to prepare yourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Little children, this is a time of grace and so, again, I call you to decide for God the Creator. Allow Him to transform and change you. May your heart be prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May we prepare ourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit through prayer and sacrifice! We need to decide for God the Creator. And we need to allow Him to transform and change us by listening to the Holy Spirit in our hearts. It is also good to pray with others, and ask for the Holy Spirit! Let us pray: Litany of the Holy Spirit (For private use only) Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us. Father all-powerful, have mercy on us. Jesus, Eternal Son of the Father, Redeemer of the world, save us. Spirit of the Father and the Son, boundless life of both, sanctify us. Holy Trinity, hear us. Holy Spirit, Who proceedest from the Father and the Son, enter our hearts. Holy Spirit, Who art equal to the Father and the Son, enter our hearts. Promise of God the Father, have mercy on us. June 1, 2025 Reflection – Holy Spirit Novena Day 3

The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 3 The Spirit and the Bride say “Come!”   June 1, 2025 The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 3 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 3 of our Novena to the Holy Spirit! The Second Reading is from the end of Revelations! It is so powerful! “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come”!! We are the bride! And with the Holy Spirit we say “Come”!! We offer all peoples the gifts we have received. We share Jesus with them!! Book of Revelation 22:12-14, 16-17, 20 I, John, heard a voice saying to me: “Behold, I am coming soon. I bring with me the recompense I will give to each according to his deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”  Blessed are they who wash their robes so as to have the right to the tree of life and enter the city through its gates.  “I, Jesus, sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning star.”  The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let the hearer say, “Come.” Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water. The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! The word of the Lord. This Reading from the Book of Revelations 22 is a call that flows down through the ages! Our Lady carries on this call through us in our day. Here is one message: September 25, 2015 “Dear children! Also today I am praying to the Holy Spirit to fill your hearts with a strong faith. Prayer and faith will fill your heart with love and joy and you will be a sign for those who are far from God. Little children, encourage each other to prayer with the heart, so that prayer may fulfill your life; and each day, you, little children, will be, above all, witnesses of serving God in adoration and of your neighbor in need. I am with you and intercede for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The Spirit and the Bride say “Come!!” (Truly Our Lady is the Bride!! She calls us to help her!) Let we, the hearers, say “Come!” Let the one who thirsts come forward and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water. Amen and Amen!! Come, Lord Jesus!!!
