Our Lady of Lourdes This is the statue of Our Lady in St. James Church in Medjugorje! February 11, 2026 Our Lady of Lourdes Dear Family of Mary, Here again is our message for this month! The January 25, 2026 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace! “Dear children, Today, I am calling you to be prayer and a blessing for all those who have not come to know God’s love. Little children, be different from others and be positive people of prayer and love towards God, that with your lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others. I bless you with my motherly blessing and intercede for each of you before my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call. (With ecclesiastical approval) Our final Be-attitude from this message is “…that with your lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others.” As we grow in all the Be-attitudes, we will grow in love for others. The good we will do, the good we will say, the good we will pray for, it all will help us to be a sign of God’s love to others. When we will be remembered, it will be the good we have done that will stand out. And it will be a sign of God’s love to everyone! Today is the Optional Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes! This wonderful apparition took place in 1858, when Our Lady appeared to Bernadette Soubirous, a poor girl who had very little schooling. She was the only visionary. And she was interrigated and disbelieved. But she stuck to her guns even though the rest of her life was not easy. But many, many people did believe her, and came to the grotto to encounter Our Lady. And there have been many, many healings from “The Lady” who appeared to Bernadette. Here is a quote from Bernadette that acutally demonstrates this Be-attitude we receieved from Our Lady through Marija, “…that with your lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others.” Bernadette said: “I shall spend every moment loving. One who loves does not notice her trials; or perhaps more accurately, she is able to love them. I shall do everything for Heaven, my true home. There I shall find my Mother in all the splendour of her glory. I shall delight with her in the joy of Jesus himself in perfect safety.” Bernadette’s resolve to spend every moment loving can become our resolve as well. We want to spend every moment loving so that we can be a sign of God’s love to others!! This is true fruitfulness!! It is the only witness that matters! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Be positive people of prayer and love towards God… February 10, 2026 Dear Family of Mary, Here again is our message for this month! The January 25, 2026 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace! “Dear children, Today, I am calling you to be prayer and a blessing for all those who have not come to know God’s love. Little children, be different from others and be positive people of prayer and love towards God, that with your lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others. I bless you with my motherly blessing and intercede for each of you before my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call. (With ecclesiastical approval) Our Lady asked us to “be different from others” in this message. We talked about how amazing it is that each one of us is unique, and so by nature different from others. We also realized that it is good to be different. How much good can be generated in our relationships if we use our differences as a gift to help others. Her next Be-attitude is this: “Be positive people of prayer and love towards God…” She tells us to be positive people!! What does this mean? It is fun to think about it! Here are some adjectives that could apply to our being positive people: “Positive people” are optimistic, hopeful, supportive, constructive, joyful, friendly, encouraging, kind, lovers of the truth, believers in the good, those who trust in God, those who rely on God’s promises, peacemakers, and faithfilled people. “Positive people of prayer” are those who truly believe that God loves us and who cast all their hopes and needs upon His love. They have strong faith in God! Nothing is outside of God’s control and so they pray with deep faith and trust. “Positive people…of love” are those who love very deeply because they have such a deep relationship with God through which they can love with God’s love, purely and freely. Positive people who know God, know love! They love because God loves them and they learn to love from and through Him. Our Lady continues: “that with your lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others.” I believe that if we live in that positive relationship with the Lord we will become a sign of God’s love to others! Why? Because God will be able to work through us, and our works of love will be a sign of God’s love to others. We will live love! We will spread love, God’s love, everywhere. There is a song written by Sebastian Temple that we all know, that expresses this call to be positive people: Make me a channel of Your peace. Where there is hatred let me bring Your love, Where there is injury, Your pardon, Lord. And where there’s doubt, true faith in You. Oh, Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved as to love with all my soul. Make me a channel of Your peace. Where there’s despair in life let me bring hope. Where there is darkness, only light. And where there’s sadness, ever joy. Make me a channel of Your peace. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
