St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Dear Family of Mary!
“Dear children! My motherly desire is for your hearts to be filled with peace, and for your souls to be pure so that in the presence of my Son you could see His face. Because, my children, as a mother I know that you thirst for consolation, hope and protection. You, my children, consciously and unconsciously are seeking my Son. I also, as I passed the time on earth, rejoiced, suffered and patiently endured pains, until my Son, in all His glory, removed them. And that is why I am saying to my Son: help them always. You, my children, with true love, illuminate the darkness of selfishness which all the more envelopes my children. Be generous. May both your hands and heart always be open. Do not be afraid. Abandon yourselves to my Son with trust and hope. As you look towards Him, live life with love. To love means to give oneself, to endure, and never to judge. To love means to live the words of my Son. My children, as a mother I am speaking to you: only true love leads to eternal happiness. Thank you.” (March 18, 2017)
Denis has been talking about “seeing Jesus’ face” almost every day during the Rosary. For some reason he is intent on receiving this grace. Our Lady has brought it up at least three time in the past year. Here are the quotes:
“Dear children! My motherly desire is for your hearts to be filled with peace, and for your souls to be pure so that in the presence of my Son you could see His face…”
My children, my Son is looking at you. Pray that you also may see His face and that it may be revealed to you…” (September 2, 2016)
My children, all those who love my Son can see Him, because His face can be seen through the souls which are filled with love for Him. Therefore, my children, my apostles, listen to me. Leave vanity and selfishness. Do not live only for what is earthly and material. Love my Son and make it so that others may see His face through your love for Him. I will help you to come to know Him all the more. I will speak to you about Him. Thank you.” (March 2, 2016)
I wonder what Our Lady means by this. Certainly she is telling us that to see the face of Jesus is a gift from God. It is not something natural. It is a revelation, “Pray that you also may see His face and that it may be revealed to you.” And she seems to be saying that we need to be in a certain state of grace to receive this gift, “My motherly desire is for your hearts to be filled with peace, and for your souls to be pure so that in the presence of my Son you could see His face…” In fact she tells us, “All those who love my Son can see Him…”
So seeing the Face of Jesus is a gift, a revelation, received by those who strive for peace, purity and love for Jesus. It is a gift for those who seek Jesus. Our Lady tells us to pray to see Jesus’ face. So I have included three prayers in honor of Jesus’ Holy Face that may be of some help to us.
Holy Face of Jesus, Be my joy.
Holy Face of Jesus, Be my strength.
Holy Face of Jesus, Be my health.
Holy Face of Jesus, Be my courage.
Holy Face of Jesus, Be my wisdom.
Holy Face of Jesus, Image of the Father, Provide for me.
Holy Face of Jesus, Mirror of Thy Priestly Heart, Be my zeal.
Holy Face of Jesus, Gift of the Spirit, Show me Thy love.
Holy Face of Jesus, saddened by sorrow, Grant my requests through Thy merits.
Amen.
“O Jesus, who, in Thy cruel Passion didst become the ‘reproach of men and the Man of Sorrows,’ I worship Thy divine Face. Once it shone with the beauty and sweetness of the Divinity; but now, for my sake, it is become as ‘the face of a leper.’ Yet, in that disfigured Countenance, I recognize Thy infinite love, and I am consumed with the desire of making Thee loved by all mankind. The tears that flowed so abundantly from Thy Eyes are to me as precious pearls that I delight to gather, that with their worth I may ransom the souls of poor sinners. O Jesus, whose Face is the sole beauty that ravishes my heart, I may not see here below the sweetness of Thy glance, nor feel the ineffable tenderness of Thy kiss, I bow to Thy Will-but I pray Thee to imprint in me Thy divine likeness, and I implore Thee so to inflame me with Thy love, that it may quickly consume me, and that I may soon reach the vision of Thy glorious Face in heaven. Amen.” (St. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face)

Finally, this is the Feast Day of dear St. Joseph. Our Lady and St. Joseph are the two people on earth who saw the Face of Jesus the most!! He must have kissed those baby cheaks thousands of time, and looked into the eyes of Jesus with such love countless times in his childhood. Oh St. Joseph, pray for us to see the Face of Jesus!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
