June 25, 2007 “Dear children! Also today, with great joy in my heart, I call you to conversion. Little children, do not forget that you are all important in this great plan, which God leads through Medjugorje. God desires to convert the entire world and to call it to salvation and to the way towards Himself, who is the beginning and the end of every being. In a special way, little children, from the depth of my heart, I call you all to open yourselves to this great grace that God gives you through my presence here. I desire to thank each of you for the sacrifices and prayers. I am with you and I bless you all. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Our Lady told us on June 25, 2007 that God is leading a great plan through Medjugorje, a plan through which He desires to convert the entire world!! It would seem that Medjugorje is God’s plan for evangelization for the Church! Archbishop Hoser spoke about this plan of evangelization in relation to Medjugorje as well. Here is what he said at the press conference on April 5:

The reality of the shrine in today’s world is so important that the Holy Father has moved “Shrines” from the Congregation for the Clergy to the Congregation for New Evangelization.  People receive there (at shrines) those things that they don’t have at home.  In many old Christian countries individual confession does not exist anymore.  In many countries there is no Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.  In many countries there is no Way of the Cross any more.  There is no Rosary anymore.  In Britanie, in France, they told me that the last time they prayed the Way of the Cross was 30 years ago.  And such dryness of sacred space obviously leads towards a crises of the faith.

Here (Medjugorje) people come to the source.   Here, they distinguish a thirst for the holy, thirst for faith, thirst towards God.  They discover prayer.  And all of this takes place with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In Medjugorje the emphasis is on the title of the Blessed Virgin Mary here, the Queen of Peace.  We can say that this is not something new because all over the world there are churches consecrated to the Queen of Peace.  But if we look at the world’s context of today’s life, then we can see what the Holy Father Francis has called and referred to as the third world war in pieces, in fragments. It is fragmentary.  And the cruelest and the most destructive forms of the war are those civil wars.  You who live here in the Balkans, you lived a form of the civil war recently.  I lived genocide in Rwanda.  This is what you see today in Syria, the country is destroyed where there is the oldest Christian presence in the world.  And today what is being used is also chemical weapons.  And that is the reality today – the landscape today, so many political conflicts today in each country.

So to call, to invoke the Queen of Peace, the Mother of God, is important. It is this aspect of Medjugorje which is utterly important. Dear Friends, you should be carriers of joyful news. And you can say to the whole world that in Medjugorje there is a light, and you can find the light again. Because we need these spots of light in the whole world which is going down in darkness. “So to call, to invoke the Queen of Peace, the Mother of God, is important. It is this aspect of Medjugorje which is utterly important!!” Yes, Archbishop, we agree. We are living our lives for her now. And we long to be little spots of light in the world that point to Medjugorje where the light shines so brightly. May it be so!
