St. Maximillian Kolbe
Dear Family of Mary!
St. Maximillian Kolbe truly understood the dire necessity of living our lives in deep consecration to Mary! He taught without cease the wonders and power of the Immaculata. He desired that everyone would make a consecration to Our Lady, giving their lives over into her hands. The night before he was taken to the concentration camp he kept his brothers up all night, trying to explain why this consecration was so important.
On his feast day, I would like to share the consecration prayer he wrote. And I would like to share a message that Our Lady of Medjugorje gave to us, that echos perfectly his prayer.
Here is the consecration prayer of St. Maximillian Kolbe: O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you. If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: “She will crush your head,” and “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world.” Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Here is a message from Our Lady in which she offers the very things that St. Maximillian Kolbe desired!!! May her words go deeply into our hearts and bear fruit in us!

“Dear children!
I am coming among you because
I desire to be your mother – your intercessor.
I desire to be the bond between you
and the Heavenly Father – your mediatrix.
I desire to take you by the hand
and to walk with you in the battle against the impure spirit.
My children, consecrate yourselves to me completely.
I will take your lives into my motherly hands
and I will teach them peace and love,
and then I will give them over to my Son.
I am asking of you to pray and fast
because only in this way
will you know how to witness my Son
in the right way through my motherly heart.
Pray for your shepherds
that, united in my Son,
they can always joyfully proclaim
the Word of God. Thank you.”
I know that it is hard to understand consecration to Mary! But please take time to ponder how much we need her today. The world has run amok. We cannot find the good, and the way to God on our own. It is futile. We need Our Lady to guide us into all truth and goodness, indeed to guide us to her Son, Jesus. She longs to be our intercessor, mediatrix, and mother! The is not time now to wait. Call upon Mary!
