The Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 6
Dear Family of Mary!
Today is Day 6 of our Novena to the Holy Spirit!!
Here is Our Lady’s most recent message to us which is perfectly meant for this novena:
The April 25, 2026 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace
“Dear children, I am praying for you and encourage you to a new life, a life in joy and prayer. May the Holy Spirit fill you, little children, with joy so that you may be like a spring of pure and drinkable water; that you, little children, may be, in God and with God, missionaries of love and peace. Your life is short here on earth and that is why I am with you to lead you towards Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (With ecclesiastical approval)
Our Lady knows what is most important for us! We need the Holy Spirit!!!
Let us pray our Novena to the Holy Spirit:
Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Christ Jesus, before ascending into heaven,
You promised to send the Holy Spirit
to Your apostles and disciples.
Grant that the same Spirit may perfect in our lives
the work of Your grace and love.
Grant us the Spirit of Fear of the Lord
that we may be filled
with a loving reverence toward You;
The Spirit of Piety
that we may find peace and fulfillment
in the service of God while serving others;
The Spirit of Fortitude
that we may bear our cross with You
and, with courage, overcome the obstacles
that interfere with our salvation;
The Spirit of Knowledge
that we may know You
and know ourselves and grow in holiness;
The Spirit of Understanding
to enlighten our minds
with the light of Your truth;
The Spirit of Counsel
that we may choose the surest way
of doing Your will,
seeking first the Kingdom;
The Spirit of Wisdom
that we may aspire
to the things that last forever;
And teach us to be Your faithful disciples
and animate us in every way with Your Spirit.
Amen.
Day 6 (Wednesday, 7th Week of Easter)
Human Weakness and Sinfulness
If Thou take Thy grace away,
Nothing pure in man will stay,
All his good is turn’d to ill.
Come, O Blessed Spirit of Understanding,
enlighten our minds
so that we may appreciate and see more fully
what we know by faith.
Come to us in our weakness
and give voice to our petitions,
for “the prayers that the Spirit makes for God’s holy people
are always in accordance with the mind of God.”
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We will pray the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary!
Here is a message from Our Lady:
January 25, 1987
The first apparition of the 25th of the month, given to Marija, for the parish:
“Today I want to appeal to all of you
to start living a new life from this day on.
Dear children,
I wish that you would understand
that God has chosen each one of you
to have a part in the great plan
for the salvation of mankind.
You cannot fully understand
how great your role is in God’s design.
For that reason, pray, dear children,
so that through prayer,
you may be able to know your role in God’s plan.
I am with you, so that you may be able to realize it fully.”
The Gift of Understanding enables us to comprehend in practical terms what God says to us through His Word and through the Church. It is through this gift that we begin to see how to live out our calling in Christ. We need this gift!! It makes our witness concrete!! Oh, Holy Spirit of Understanding, come and bring us light!
Let us pray the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary!
