33 Day Consecration – Day 17
Dear Family of Mary!
33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 17
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!
Today we are at the exact midpoint of our 33 Day Consecration. We have done 16 days. We are on Day 17. And tomorrow we will begin another 16 days! So, to mark the halfway point, God gave us a beautiful homily given at the International Mass last night, by Bishop Giampaolo Crepaldi from Trieste, Italy! Bishop Crepaldi celebrated the International Mass and shared beautifully about the great mercy of God and the presence of Our Lady, and how we can dedicate our lives to her call. It is the perfect midpoint reflection and really it is a prayer!!

Bishop Giampaolo Crepaldi, Bishop of Trieste, Italy, Celebrant and Homilist.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Gathered around the altar on which the offering of the Lord Jesus to the Father is renewed through the powerful action of the Holy Spirit, we want to express our devoted gratitude to the Triune Love which here in Medjugorje manifests itself in a particular way with the features of His forgiveness and His Mercy.
We, too, like the simple woman in the passage of the Gospel that we have just heard (Lk 7:36-50), have come here to prostrate ourselves at the feet of Jesus.
Like her, we are also called to nurture a great love, because it is the love that gives us an experience of free forgiveness.
Like her, we, too, after a good confession, savor the joy of forgiveness and the joy of a life renewed and reborn in Christ.
Like her, we also must be firmly convinced that the debt we have accumulated with our sinful behavior is completely forgiven. Because, like her, we also know that many sins are forgiven to us when we show great love.
Like her, we, too, are at table with Him, becoming His family, saved by the grace of His forgiveness.
Like her, we, too, at the moment of the Holy Communion, will touch that body tormented on the cross and glorified by the resurrection, aware that the Divine Mercy is a gift of grace for all.
Like her, we also must feel saved and completely redeemed from our evil which has often and for a long time afflicted our soul, feeling the profound peace that Jesus proclaims Himself to us, saying, “Your sins are forgiven, and your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
This is one of the formulas with which the confessor concludes the Rite of Confession repeating to each penitent the same wish for salvation and peace. Let us cherish this treasure, and we will not be lacking in His Mercy.
Dear brothers and sisters, an urgent call that comes to us in Medjugorje is the call to conversion which is concretized in the call to direct our lives to Christ.
It is the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother who accompanies us on our journey to come to Jesus Christ.
It is the Mother who, by connecting our heart to her heart, enables us to merge ourselves in Christ, in His thoughts and intentions, in His will.
In this perspective, we want to open ourselves for the consecration to the Queen of Peace, aware that Mary wants our salvation and the salvation of our brothers.
This is a path of holiness that we must go through with the rosary in hand, in contemplating the mysteries, which are otherwise undecipherable. Christians find the light of life and the history of mankind which, this evening, we entrust to the motherly love of the Queen of Peace.
To this Queen, we entrust our spouses and families, so that the tenderness of true love, the serenity of a dignified labor, and a generosity and the gift of life may not fail.
To this Queen, we entrust our young people so that the will to adhere to Christ, the only one who can help them in deliberating and planning of their future, will not be extinguished.
To this Queen, we entrust our priests, the consecrated ones, and the seminarians, so that they may always be ready and faithful in responding to their vocation.
To this Queen, we entrust those who are sick, lonely and marginalized, humiliated and desperate; those who are undermined, but the thought of life is an unbearable burden.
To this Queen, we entrust our cities, our countries, and those who administer them, so that they may never lack the courage to strive for the common good.
To this Queen, we entrust our diocesan churches so that the Lord Jesus may be the source of their actions, their service, their teaching, and their mission.
To this Queen, we entrust our lives, seeking the grace to be protected and to receive the immeasurable good of faith, hope and charity of Christ the Lord.
Amen and Amen!!!
Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary:
“O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary of Pompei, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven”. (Blessed Bartolo Longo)
We commit ourselves to praying the Rosary for your intentions, dearest Mary, our Mother, as You enter this final battle with Satan, for the sake of souls. We will take up the Rosary as an obligation that we will fulfill with great joy! Together we will pray for Your Triumph over Satan, and for the coming of a New Time of Peace which has been given to us through You, Oh Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!! Amen
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Now we pray our Rosary for today! The Sorrowful Mysteries!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
