33 Day Consecration – Day 32
Dear Family of Mary!
33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary – Day 32
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!
Today is the Feast Day of two of my favorite holy ones, St. Faustina Kowalska and Blessed Bartolo Longo! They both died on October 5! St. Faustina was given the gargantuan task of presenting the Devotion to the Divine Mercy to the world. We know how much she suffered in doing so. But today the Feast of Mercy is officially celebrated on the Sunday after Easter throughout the entire Church! So many souls are aided by this feast!
And Blessed Bartolo Longo had his own great work, the spreading of the prayer of the Holy Rosary throughout Italy and into the world as well. He was given the task of building a Shrine to Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompei, to which many millions of pilgrims flock each year. Bartolo Longo had fallen into Satanism as a young man, but it was the Rosary of Our Lady that drew him out of hell and back into the arms of Mother Church. His one desire was to spread this devotion to the Rosary for other poor souls in need of salvation.
That is why I think this is a very special day!! I want to quote Blessed Bartolo as he speaks about the power of the Rosary, at the end of our 33 Day Consecration. Tomorrow is our last day of prayer before we arrive at the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Victory!!
Bartolo Longo has said:
I know this conclusion to our consecration seems possibly a bit mundane. It is rather small and humble. But that is also what makes the Rosary so effective. It is humble! That is why Satan hates it. The Rosary helps us stay small and completely docile to Jesus and Mary. That littleness is our greatest protection and strength!! Hurray for the Rosary!!
Tomorrow is our last day of prayer, day 33!!
Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary:
“O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary of Pompei, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven”. (Blessed Bartolo Longo)
We commit ourselves to praying the Rosary for your intentions, dearest Mary, our Mother, as You enter this final battle with Satan, for the sake of souls. We will take up the Rosary as an obligation that we will fulfill with great joy! Together we will pray for Your Triumph over Satan, and for the coming of a New Time of Peace which has been given to us through You, Oh Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!! Amen
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Now we pray our Rosary for today! Joyful Mysteries!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Bartolo Longo has said:
“Like two friends who, seeing each other very often, are used to conform also as to their habits; in the same manner, talking closely and in a friendly way with Jesus Christ and the Virgin, while meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary, and forming together one only life with Communion, we can become similar to them, as far as our lowness is capable to, and to learn from these supreme models, the humble, poor, hidden, patient and perfect way of living.”
“If we want that the Rosary would become a means of sanctification in our heart, we must identify with the sentiments of the Heart of Jesus and the Heart of Mary, we must identify with their sufferings; we must draw practical teachings, and reflect their virtues in our life.”
“Life’s teaching is a teaching full of sweetness and love; so, man, under Mary’s glance almost without realizing it, finds himself educated to be able to gain his second life, which is true life, because it is not destined to last a few years, but an endless eternity.” – “Come to me, my sons, and listen to me, Mary says. Come to my School, to my Rosary School and I will teach you the holy love and the short and safe way to gain heaven.” (Pasquale Mocerino. “The Blessed Bartolo Longo” P. 57)
Doesn’t Bartolo Longo sound like Fr. Shamon? They both understand that the Rosary is a way of communing with Jesus and Mary and letting them lead us in meditating on the mysteries in such a way that the Holy Spirit can fill us and guide us. We learn through our feet, so to speak. It is being with Jesus and Mary that changes us, and during the prayer of the Rosary we can be with them in a powerful and special way.I know this conclusion to our consecration seems possibly a bit mundane. It is rather small and humble. But that is also what makes the Rosary so effective. It is humble! That is why Satan hates it. The Rosary helps us stay small and completely docile to Jesus and Mary.
