March 10, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!

Today we begin a novena to St. Joseph, to end on March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary! I feel that we need St. Joseph very much in these days. The Father gave St. Joseph to Our Lady, to help her in her primary mission, as the Mother of God. The Father knew that Mary would need a spouse who was incredibly able to love her and protect her, to love Jesus and protect Him, and to support the mission that Our Lady had, to bear and raise the Savior of the World. Mary needed St. Joseph in her mission. And now she needs us, in our own little way, in her mission in these days.

October 2, 2007 “Dear children, I call you to accompany me in my mission of God with an open heart and complete trust. The path on which I lead you towards God is difficult, but persistent and in the end we will all rejoice in God. Therefore, my children, do not stop praying for the gift of faith. Only faith in God’s Word will be the light in this darkness which desires to envelop us. Do not be afraid, I am with you. Thank you.”

Mary asks us to accompany her in her mission of God… which is exactly what St. Joseph did. The path for her then, was difficult, but she and St. Joseph were persistent, and, in the end, they rejoiced in God in eternity!! I believe that St. Joseph will aid us now as we travel with Mary through these modern days, bringing the Savior through our faith, hope and love. We can help her, and St. Joseph can help us!!

Each day I will share a prayer to St Joseph and the prayer that Denis has written to St. Joseph, asking for his help for Mary TV, as we try to help Our Lady with her mission.

A Prayer of St. Louis de Montfort

Hail Joseph the just, wisdom is with you; blessed are you among all men and blessed is Jesus, the fruit of Mary, your faithful spouse.

Holy Joseph, worthy foster-father of Jesus Christ, pray for us sinners and obtain divine wisdom for us from God, now and at the hour of our death. Amen


The prayer to St. Joseph, for Mary TV:

Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided.  Filled with confidence we implore you, O faithful St. Joseph: help us now in our turn not to leave the side of Mary, our Mother, Queen of Peace of Medjugorje, Queen of Divine Mercy.

Help us St. Joseph, to be like you, faithful to her in everything. Help us respond to her call. St. Joseph, Foster Father of us all, hear us and answer us. Amen.


Thank you for joining in the simple novena. I believe St. Joseph is with us now as a special gift of the Father in Heaven. Thank you, St. Joseph!
