Easter Tuesday – Divine Mercy Novena, Day 5
April 22, 2025
Dear Family of Mary!
Today is Tuesday of Easter Week. And we hear today a more detailed account of Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the Risen Jesus. Lest we forget, let’s pray over this encounter in all its significance and grace:
John 20:11-18
Mary Magdalene stayed outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet where the Body of Jesus had been.
And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “They have taken my Lord, and I don’t know where they laid him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there, but did not know it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?”
She thought it was the gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.”
Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher.
Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
Mary went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and then reported what he had told her. (John 20:11-18)
May we carry the joy of the Risen Jesus in our hearts, just as St. Mary Magdalene did! The world needs this joy!
August 25, 2008 “Dear children! Also today I call you to personal conversion. You be those who will convert and, with your life, will witness, love, forgive and bring the joy of the Risen One into this world, where my Son died and where people do not feel a need to seek Him and to discover Him in their lives. You adore Him, and may your hope be hope to those hearts who do not have Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Now the Novena prayers for Tuesday:
Easter Tuesday – Divine Mercy Novena Day 5:
Today bring to Me the souls who have separated themselves from my Church, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church, My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion.
Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son’s Church, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.
We pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy…

Finally here is our prayer in anticipation of the Cannonization of Carlo Acutis:
Dear Mary our Mother and Queen of Peace, you tell us: “Invoke the help of all the Saints for them to be an example and a help to you.” With joy we invoke the help of Carlo Acutis, soon to be declared the Patron Saint of the INTERNET. May we now receive grace to follow his example, especially the young – who are looking at their phones. Through his intercession may the devil be routed from the INTERNET and the beauty of Our Lady, through the INTERNET, cast out Satan as prince of the world!
Thank you for praying with us! May this Easter Week be filled with light and joy for all of you!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
