Dear Apostles of Our Lady – Family of Mary TV,
The power of simple prayer…
“There is wonderful news this morning!” Cathy greeted me with these words and a big smile when I came downstairs the other morning. “Cardinal Pell is being released!”
His conviction had been a sham. Everyone knew it…. And the last news I had heard was that new charges would be leveled against him before Australia’s Supreme Court… To tell the truth, I had sort of given up praying for him. He was a martyr. But Australia’s Supreme Court had just voted unanimously to set him free!
Right when Cathy had said those words, they brought back a memory I had forgotten. It was maybe back in 1991. Australia had been consecrated to Satan. I remember the shock that day when it happened. And right then with Cathy’s greeting it came to me: all the power of Hell, all the power of Satan, can’t withstand simple prayer!
The tide has turned!
Our novena to the Queen of Peace, Queen of Divine Mercy, led by Fr. Leon, has just ended today. Tomorrow we begin the most powerful novena in the Church – certainly in our lifetime – the novena given by Jesus Himself for these days! The Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday and ends on Divine Mercy Sunday (April 19). Join Mary TV at the Hour of Mercy these next nine days… Live at 3:00pm Medjugorje time (9:00am EDT in the USA) and then our Novena will be archived in both the Divine Mercy window and the Novena window at www.MaryTV.tv .
More hope to share:
As we left Church on March 17th we didn’t realize it would be our last Mass for a while. As we walked out the church doors Cathy heard the words, “Lift your head. Look up!” She tells me every time she prays now she hears: “Lift your head. Look up!” Later she read similar words in the Bible: “Look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21: 28) Maybe it was also a little heavenly exhortation for me not to get stuck looking down into my iPhone!!
Let’s not forget…
Let’s not forget that right after Our Lady’s apparition on October 24, 2017 (streamed live by Mary TV – where it can still be watched) Marija said: “I believe that now, with this year, begins, as Our Lady said, the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart!”
It shouldn’t surprise us that the devil isn’t giving up without a fight (Sr. Lucia of Fatima told us Mary has already won)! Our Lady just needs us by her side. A battle rages. Her first message to us this year: “I desire to gather all of my children around me, beneath my motherly mantle. This is why I am inviting you and calling you, apostles of my love, to help me…” (January 2, 2020).
Our Lady tells us she’s giving her messages from Medjugorje for our salvation! “Dear children! Today I invite you to become missionaries of my messages, which I am giving here through this place that is dear to me. God has allowed me to stay this long with you and therefore, little children, I invite you to live with love the messages I give and to transmit them to the whole world.” (February 25, 1995)
No reason to fear…
Recently a shipmate was grateful to learn Our Lady in Medjugorje had never spoken of “The Three Days of Darkness”. A well-meaning friend of hers had been bombarding her with this message…. She was grateful to learn the visionaries didn’t believe in it. “Thank you, Denis. Every time she talks about it, it starts to get me nervous. Our Lady of Medjugorje never makes me feel like that!”
We have no time left to be distracted. We have to decide whether we are apostles of the Gospa of Medjugorje or not.
By chance I was kneeling right next to Mirjana when Our Lady appeared to her on March 18, 1995 and gave her message:
“Dear children! …As long as you do not love, you will not know your Father’s love. You won’t get to know him because God is love. Love and don’t be afraid, my children, because there is no fear in love. If your hearts are open to the Father and if they are full of love toward him, then why any fear of what is to come?”
Afterwards we asked Mirjana what there was to fear in the future….it seemed a lot of pilgrims were leaving Medjugorje with fear… She replied, “Nothing. There is nothing to fear! Our Lady was referring to the fear that pilgrims are bringing with them to Medjugorje because of listening to other messages!”
When St. Pope John Paul ll was handed a prophetic message about fire falling from the sky, he said “It’s not going to happen! Man’s sins may be greater today, but God’s mercy is greater!”
Our Lady in Medjugorje has said everything is conditional….even God’s plans can be changed through conversion, through prayer The Cure of Ars said, “I know a man more powerful than God. The man who prays!”
This is Mary’s time. She’s carrying everything… It’s the time of her triumph! Our job is simple: to stay by her side. “Dear children, I am calling you to be with me in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light!” (March 25, 2018)
The great Divine Mercy Novena…
The Great Divine Mercy Novena begins tomorrow, Good Friday. Be excited! Pray and watch what God will do through Divine Mercy Sunday!
We’ll be praying the Novena Live on Mary TV’s internet TV channel at 3:00pm Medjugorje time (9:00am EDT in the US). It will also be archived in both the Divine Mercy window and the Novena window where it can be prayed at any time.
Good news!!
Very soon Fr. Leon will be giving daily Gospel Reflections (based on the Gospel for daily Mass) in the channel and you will also find them in the “Gospel Reflections” window).
On Easter Monday Fr. Michael Baker, MIC, former producer at EWTN, is beginning a new weekly TV series along with Deacon Daniel Maria Klimek, OFM, “Living the Message of Medjugorje”. It will air every week on Mary TV. Deacon Daniel is an Assistant Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. You can find his testimony in Fruit shows #009 and #227 at www.marytv.tv
The technology you provided through your generous response to our Matching Grant Appeal also continues to be instrumental for St. James Parish – making it possible to continue its prayer program and extend it to the world.. Thank you!
Continue to pray...
Let’s keep the Franciscans and the Sisters, the villagers and St. James parishioners in our prayers (see “Tea with Rosie” at www.marytv.tv for the latest news). Medjugorje has always been there for us. Now let’s be there for Our Lady’s little village between the mountains!
