June 2, 2025 Reflection – Holy Spirit Novena, Day 4

The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 4 Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?   June 2, 2025 The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 4 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 4 of our Novena to the Holy Spirit! The Second Reading is from the Acts of the Apostles, and describes how St. Paul prepared those he taught to understand and receive the Holy Spirit! This process is not complicated, but it is most important. Many of us don’t understand the Holy Spirit! Who is He? Why do we need Him? Etc. Truly we don’t understand the Holy Spirit from books. It is an experience that we all must receive! Here is the reading: Acts of the Apostles 19:1-8 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior of the country and down to Ephesus where he found some disciples. He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” They answered him, “We have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” He said, “How were you baptized?” They replied, “With the baptism of John.” Paul then said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Altogether there were about twelve men. He entered the synagogue, and for three months debated boldly with persuasive arguments about the Kingdom of God. The word of the Lord. St. Paul helped the 12 men to understand the Scriptures, so that they would be open to the Holy Spirit. We need to understand the truth about the Holy Spirit as well. Our Lady has been teaching us about the Holy Spirit in her messages. Here is one: May 25, 1998 “Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer and sacrifice, to prepare yourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Little children, this is a time of grace and so, again, I call you to decide for God the Creator. Allow Him to transform and change you. May your heart be prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May we prepare ourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit through prayer and sacrifice! We need to decide for God the Creator. And we need to allow Him to transform and change us by listening to the Holy Spirit in our hearts. It is also good to pray with others, and ask for the Holy Spirit! Let us pray: Litany of the Holy Spirit (For private use only) Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us. Father all-powerful, have mercy on us. Jesus, Eternal Son of the Father, Redeemer of the world, save us. Spirit of the Father and the Son, boundless life of both, sanctify us. Holy Trinity, hear us. Holy Spirit, Who proceedest from the Father and the Son, enter our hearts. Holy Spirit, Who art equal to the Father and the Son, enter our hearts. Promise of God the Father, have mercy on us. Ray of heavenly light, have mercy on us. Author of all good, [etc.] Source of heavenly water Consuming fire Ardent charity Spiritual unction Spirit of love and truth Spirit of wisdom and understanding Spirit of counsel and fortitude Spirit of knowledge and piety Spirit of the fear of the Lord Spirit of grace and prayer Spirit of peace and meekness Spirit of modesty and innocence Holy Spirit, the Comforter Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier Holy Spirit, Who governest the Church Gift of God, the Most High Spirit Who fillest the universe Spirit of the adoption of the children of God Holy Spirit, inspire us with horror of sin. Holy Spirit, come and renew the face of the earth. Holy Spirit, shed Thy light in our souls. Holy Spirit, engrave Thy law in our hearts. Holy Spirit, inflame us with the flame of Thy love. Holy Spirit, open to us the treasures of Thy graces. Holy Spirit, teach us to pray well. Holy Spirit, enlighten us with Thy heavenly inspirations. Holy Spirit, lead us in the way of salvation. Holy Spirit, grant us the only necessary knowledge. Holy Spirit, inspire in us the practice of good. Holy Spirit, grant us the merits of all virtues. Holy Spirit, make us persevere in justice. Holy Spirit, be Thou our everlasting reward. Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, Send us Thy Holy Spirit. Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, pour down into our souls the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, grant us the Spirit of wisdom and piety. V. Come, Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of Thy faithful, R. And enkindle in them the fire of Thy love. Let us pray. Grant, O merciful Father, that Thy Divine Spirit may enlighten, inflame and purify us, that He may penetrate us with His heavenly dew and make us fruitful in good works, through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who with Thee, in the unity of the same Spirit, liveth and reigneth, one God, forever and ever.  R. Amen. June 1, 2025 Reflection – Holy Spirit Novena Day 3

The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 3 The Spirit and the Bride say “Come!”   June 1, 2025 The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 3 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 3 of our Novena to the Holy Spirit! The Second Reading is from the end of Revelations! It is so powerful! “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come”!! We are the bride! And with the Holy Spirit we say “Come”!! We offer all peoples the gifts we have received. We share Jesus with them!! Book of Revelation 22:12-14, 16-17, 20 I, John, heard a voice saying to me: “Behold, I am coming soon. I bring with me the recompense I will give to each according to his deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”  Blessed are they who wash their robes so as to have the right to the tree of life and enter the city through its gates.  “I, Jesus, sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning star.”  The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let the hearer say, “Come.” Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water. The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! The word of the Lord. This Reading from the Book of Revelations 22 is a call that flows down through the ages! Our Lady carries on this call through us in our day. Here is one message: September 25, 2015 “Dear children! Also today I am praying to the Holy Spirit to fill your hearts with a strong faith. Prayer and faith will fill your heart with love and joy and you will be a sign for those who are far from God. Little children, encourage each other to prayer with the heart, so that prayer may fulfill your life; and each day, you, little children, will be, above all, witnesses of serving God in adoration and of your neighbor in need. I am with you and intercede for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The Spirit and the Bride say “Come!!” (Truly Our Lady is the Bride!! She calls us to help her!) Let we, the hearers, say “Come!” Let the one who thirsts come forward and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water. Amen and Amen!! Come, Lord Jesus!!! May 31, 2025 Reflection – Holy Spirit Novena Day 2

The Visitation and The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 2   May 31, 2025 The Visitation! and The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 2 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 2 of our Novena to the Holy Spirit! We are praying together these nine days before Pentecost in order to prepare our hearts for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon each of us, upon our families, upon our communities, and the whole world. Today is also the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary!! I can’t think of a better scripture to read during our Novena! Why? Because Elizabeth, John, and Mary all were filled with the Holy Spirit at their meeting!! Little unborn John leaped in Elizabeth’s womb, at the presence of the unborn Jesus in Mary’s womb! That was pure Holy Spirit!! And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed the awesome truth of Mary’s pregnancy, that Mary is the Mother of her Lord, and ours!! Finally, Mary proclaimed the incredible work of the Lord in the conception of Jesus in her womb, the Holy One who would save His people in power and might! And, of course, little Jesus is the Blessed One who causes these great outbursts of joy!! Read it with great awe: Luke 1:39-56 Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;/my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,/ for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant./ From this day all generations will call me blessed:/the Almighty has done great things for me,/and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him/ in every generation./ He has shown the strength of his arm,/ he has scattered the proud in their conceit./ He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,/ and has lifted up the lowly./ He has filled the hungry with good things,/ and the rich he has sent away empty./ He has come to the help of his servant Israel/ for he has remembered his promise of mercy,/ the promise he made to our fathers,/ to Abraham and his children for ever.” Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home. The Gospel of the Lord. This Gospel is so very important. Read it often, and let the Holy Spirit change you!! Our Lady said this to us: May 25, 1998 “Dear children! Thank you for having responded to my call.” Just as Our Lady, St. Elizabeth and St. John were prepared to listen to and live everything which the Holy Spirit had in His plan for each of them, so must we be ready to listen to and live everything that the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of us! Please pray your Rosary today for a new coming of the Holy Spirit in your life! May we each grow now in the life that God has planned for us. Here is the litany we will pray each day! We will do both prayers on our Daily Rosary on Mary TV (4:00pm Medjugorje time, live on Mary TV) Litany of the Holy Spirit (For private use only) Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us. Father all-powerful, have mercy on us. Jesus, Eternal Son of the Father, Redeemer of the world, save us. Spirit of the Father and the Son, boundless life of both, sanctify us. May 30, 2025 Reflection – The Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 1

The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 1   May 30, 2025 The Holy Spirit Novena, Day 1 Dear Family of Mary! Today we begin our Novena to the Holy Spirit! We will pray together these nine days before Pentecost in order to prepare our hearts for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon each of us, upon our families, upon our communities, and the whole world. We need the Holy Spirit! As Jesus told the Apostles: John 16:12-15 Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.” We need the Holy Spirit in order to be guided into the truth and to be given the gifts we need to proclaim the Gospel and build up the church. The world needs Jesus! Our Lady has also told us: June 2, 1984 (Saturday) “Dear children! Tonight I wish to tell you during the days of this Novena to pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish. Pray, and you shall not regret it. God will give you gifts by which you will glorify Him till the end of your life on this earth. Thank you for having responded to my call.” So that is what we are going to do!! We are going to pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our families and on our parishes…and on our schools and work places and governments and the whole world!! Come Holy Spirit!!! Please pray a Rosary each day for the coming of the Holy Spirit. And here is a litany to pray each day! We will do both on our Daily Rosary on Mary TV (4:00pm Medjugorje time, live on Mary TV) Litany of the Holy Spirit (For private use only) Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. May 29, 2025 Reflection – The Ascension of the Lord!

The Ascension of the Lord!   May 29, 2025 The Ascension of the Lord! Dear Family of Mary! Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord! This day the apostles stood in awe as Jesus was drawn up into heaven before their very eyes! It was a spectacular moment!! Everything Jesus had told them came true!! They witnessed it all! His public ministry in which the healings and the miracles abounded for those three years. They also witnessed Jesus’ Crucifixion and Death. They saw the cruelty and insanity of the people, they saw Jesus’ love remain victorious to the end! And after three days, they found the tomb empty, and Jesus living, before them. And finally this day came. Here is the account: Luke 24: 46-53 Jesus said to his disciples: “Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”  Then he led them out as far as Bethany, raised his hands, and blessed them. As he blessed them he parted from them and was taken up to heaven. They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God.  The Gospel of the Lord. We too are witnesses of these events, through their testimony. And we believe that it is all true. Jesus has ascended into heaven! He has returned to the Father. And the promise of the Father has come upon us too! The Holy Spirit has been poured out in abundance upon us! Each year, we live again all these wonders together in the Church. And now we have come to the beautiful nine days of prayer before Pentecost! Jesus is telling us to stay in the city until we are clothed with power from on high!! Stay in prayer. Wait in peace for the coming of the Promise! It is the Holy Spirit!! Our Lady encourages us to pray very much during the next nine days: June 2, 1984 “Dear children! Tonight I wish to tell you during the days of this Novena to pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish. Pray, and you shall not regret it. God will give you gifts by which you will glorify Him till the end of your life on this earth. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Let us pray and fast and wait in joy!! May 28, 2025 Reflection – I have much more to tell you…

I have much more to tell you… May 28, 2025 Dear Family of Mary! Tomorrow is Ascension Thursday! Jesus ascends into Heaven, to His Father. It is a bitter sweet moment for the disciples, and for us. Our Lord, who had been so accessible, so close to the Apostles and Disciples, prepares them for His departure. We too will miss Him. Jesus spoke to his disciples in the Gospel today about the future, the time when He would be gone. He wanted to prepare them for their mission after His Death, Resurrection and Ascension into heaven. What did He tell them is the most important thing they would need when He is gone? It was and is the gift of the Holy Spirit! “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:12-15) We are also disciples of the Lord, and we have the very same need! We need the Holy Spirit, in order to carry on Jesus’ mission in our world today. Our Lady has come in our time, to lead us in this mission. And she too tells us we must receive the Holy Spirit, and in prayer be led by Him daily! Here are 5 messages to meditate on during the prayer of the Rosary today! June 9, 1984 (Saturday) “Dear children! Tomorrow night pray for the Spirit of Truth! Especially, you from the parish because you need the Spirit of Truth to be able to convey the messages just the way they are, neither adding anything to them, nor taking anything whatsoever away from them, but just the way I said them. Pray for the Holy Spirit to inspire you with the spirit of prayer, so you will pray more. I, your Mother, tell you that you are praying little. Thank you for having responded to my call.” April 17, 1986 “Dear children! You are absorbed with material things, but in the material you lose everything that God wishes to give you… I call you, dear children, to pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are necessary for you now in order to be able to give witness to my presence here and to all that I am giving you. Dear children, let go to me so I can lead you completely. Don’t be absorbed with material things. Thank you for having responded to my call.” June 25, 1996 “Dear children! Today I thank you for all the sacrifices you have offered me these days. Little children, I invite you to open yourselves to me and to decide for conversion. Your hearts, little children, are still not completely open to me and therefore, I invite you again to open to prayer so that in prayer the Holy Spirit will help you, that your hearts become of flesh and not of stone. Little children, thank you for having responded to my call and for having decided to walk with me toward holiness.” May 25, 1998 “Dear children! Thank you for having responded to my call.” August 25, 2000 “Dear children! I desire to share my joy with you. In my Immaculate Heart I feel that there are many of those who have drawn closer to me and are, in a special way, carrying the victory of my Immaculate Heart in their hearts by praying and converting. I desire to thank you and to inspire you to work even more for God and His kingdom with love and the power of the Holy Spirit. I am with you and I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Let us prepare for Jesus’ Ascension through prayer which will make us open to the Holy Spirit on Pentecost!! This is a powerful moment! May 22, 2025 Reflection – That my joy might be in you…

That my joy might be in you… May 22, 2025 Dear Family of Mary! The Gospel for today: Jesus said to his disciples; “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.” (John 15:9-11) Again Jesus asked the disciples to remain in His love. To remain in Him. It was vital that those whom He had chosen should stay in Him, with Him, united with Him, safely in His Heart. This was because Jesus would one day ascend into Heaven, and they would not see Him. It would be absolutely necessary that they knew how to remain in Jesus’s Heart, filled with the joy that He alone could give them. Only in that way would they be able to carry on His ministry in a world so lost without Him. Our Lady understands this joy which only God can give, and she longs for us to be filled with that joy. The same joy that Jesus gave to His disciples! August 25, 2003  “Dear children! Also today I call you to give thanks to God in your heart for all the graces which He gives you, also through the signs and colors that are in nature. God wants to draw you closer to Himself and moves you to give Him glory and thanks. Therefore, little children, I call you anew to pray, pray, pray and do not forget that I am with you. I intercede before God for each of you until your joy in Him is complete. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May our joy be complete, the joy that only Jesus can give us!!
