August 18, 2020 Reflection – The Queen of Peace

(c)Mary TV 2020 August 18, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! On Saturday, August 22, we celebrate the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary! In preparation, I will present to you a reflection for the next four days on the Queenship of Our Lady! In her messages from Medjugorje Our Lady has told us that she is the Queen of Peace! Here is one such message: April 2, 2012 Message: “Dear children, As the Queen of Peace, I desire to give peace to you, my children, true peace which comes through the heart of my Divine Son. As a mother I pray that wisdom, humility and goodness may come to reign in your hearts; that peace may reign; that my Son may reign. When my Son will be the ruler in your hearts, you will be able to help others to come to know Him. When heavenly peace comes to rule over you, those who are seeking it in the wrong places, thus causing pain to my motherly heart, will recognize it. My children, great will be my joy when I see that you are accepting my words and that you desire to follow me. Do not be afraid, you are not alone. Give me your hands and I will lead you. Do not forget your shepherds. Pray that in their thoughts they may always be with my Son who called them to witness Him. Thank you.” With such a Queen, we are the happiest of subjects! She gives us her hands and leads us into the Kingdom of her Son, which is heaven!! Let’s sing to her today! And let’s really meditate upon this reality, that Our Lady is our Queen of Peace! Hail, Holy Queen Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee to we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.| That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. Almighty and everlasting God, Who by the working of the Holy Spirit didst prepare both body and soul of the glorious Virgin Mother, Mary, that she might deserve to be made a worthy dwelling for Thy Son, grant that we who rejoice in her memory, may, by her loving intercession, be delivered from present evils and from lasting death, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020

August 17, 2020 Reflection – The Commandments

The cure for the pessimism and despair of the Modern World. (c)Mary TV 2020 August 17, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! In the Gospel for Holy Mass today, Jesus tells the rich young man to “Keep the commandments” if he wishes to enter into life.  The Commandments are a great gift to us.  They help us to organize our lives around the good.  But it would seem that in our modernist world, the Commandments are not well known and lived.  All the more reason for us to live them ourselves, in the hopes that the light will spread. Today’s Gospel: “Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?” He answered him, “Why do you ask me about the good?  There is only One who is good.  If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He asked him, “Which ones?” And Jesus replied, “You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother; and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The young man said to him, “All of these I have observed. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this statement, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.  (Mt 19: 16-22) Our Lady has encouraged us to live the Commandments in several messages.  Here are 5 examples.  Let’s use them as meditations during our Rosary or personal prayer.  Our Lady’s words are so important. September 25, 1992 “Dear children! Today again I would like to say to you that I am with you also in these troubled days during which satan wishes to destroy all that my Son Jesus and I are building. He desires especially to destroy your souls. He wants to take you away as far as possible from the Christian life and from the commandments that the Church calls you to live. Satan wishes to destroy everything that is holy in you and around you. This is why, little children, pray, pray, pray to be able to grasp all that God is giving you through my coming. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May 25, 2010 “Dear children! God gave you the grace to live and to defend all the good that is in you and around you, and to inspire others to be better and holier; but satan, too, does not sleep and through modernism diverts you and leads you to his way. Therefore, little children, in the love for my Immaculate Heart, love God above everything and live His commandments. In this way, your life will have meaning and peace will rule on earth. Thank you for having responded to my call.” February 25, 2014 “Dear children! You see, hear and feel that in the hearts of many people there is no God. They do not want Him, because they are far from prayer and do not have peace. You, little children, pray – live God’s commandments. You be prayer, you who from the very beginning said ‘yes’ to my call. Witness God and my presence and do not forget, little children: I am with you and I love you. From day to day I present you all to my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” January 25, 2016 “Dear children! Also today I am calling all of you to prayer. You cannot live without prayer, because prayer is a chain which brings you closer to God. Therefore, little children, in humility of heart return to God and to His commandments so that with all of your heart you are able to say: as it is in Heaven so may it be on earth. You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him. See where Satan wants to pull you into sin and slavery. Therefore, little children, return to my heart so that I can lead you to my Son Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May 25, 2020 “Dear children! Pray with me for a new life for all of you. In your hearts, little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the spirit. Little children, be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time. Pray and seek the help and protection of the saints so that you also could yearn for Heaven and Heavenly realities. I am with you and am protecting and blessing all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” There is something very powerful here for us.  The Commandments are given to us to empower us to live our lives for Jesus and to be blessings to our neighbors.  May we find time each day to meditate on one of the Commandments, to be sure we are living it well. August 15, 2020 Reflection – The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

The cure for the pessimism and despair of the Modern World. (c)Mary TV 2020 August 15, 2020 The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dear Family of Mary! Today is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!  Today we celebrate 70 years since this Dogma was proclaimed!  Now more than ever, we need Our Lady of the Assumption to be with us, showing us the truth of Eternal Life with God in Heaven.  We need the truth about God’s love for us, and our need for God.  May these words of consecration, spoken by Pope John Paul II in 1984, echo in our hearts today as a plea for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Woman assumed into Heaven. Excerpt from the Consecration of the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, prayed by St. John Paul II in 1984 on March 25: We fly to your patronage, O Holy Mother of God.” Despise not our petitions in our necessities. Behold, as we stand before you, Mother of Christ, before your Immaculate Heart, we desire, together with the whole Church, to unite ourselves with the consecration which, for love of us, your Son made of himself to the Father: “For their sake”, he said, “I consecrate myself that they also may be consecrated in the truth.” (Jn 17:19) We wish to unite ourselves with our Redeemer in this his consecration for the world and for the human race, which, in his divine Heart, has the power to obtain pardon and to secure reparation. The power of this consecration lasts for all time and embraces all individuals, peoples and nations. It overcomes every evil that the spirit of darkness is able to awaken, and has in fact awakened in our times, in the heart of man and in his history. How deeply we feel the need for the consecration of humanity and the world — our modern world — in union with Christ himself! For the redeeming work of Christ must be shared in by the world through the Church. The present year of the Redemption shows this: the special Jubilee of the whole Church. Above all creatures, may you be blessed, you, the Handmaid of the Lord, who in the fullest way obeyed the divine call! Hail to you, who are wholly united to the redeeming consecration of your Son! Mother of the Church! Enlighten the People of God along the paths of faith, hope and love! Enlighten especially the peoples whose consecration and entrustment by us you are awaiting. Help us to live in the truth of the consecration of Christ for the entire human family of the modern world. In entrusting to you, O Mother, the world, all individuals and peoples, we also entrust to you this very consecration of the world, placing it in your motherly Heart. Immaculate Heart! Help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weigh down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths towards the future! From famine and war, deliver us. From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us. From sins against the life of man from its very beginning, deliver us. From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us. From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us. From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us. From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God, deliver us. From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us. From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us, deliver us. Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies. Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer all sin: individual sin and the “sin of the world”, in all its manifestations. Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite saving power of the Redemption, the power of merciful Love! May it put a stop to evil! May it transform consciences! May your Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of Hope! Amen, and amen! June 2, 2007 “Dear children! Also in this difficult time God’s love sends me to you. My children, do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live. I will help you to come to know the love of my Son. I will triumph through you. Thank you.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020

August 13, 2020 Update from Denis! Be persevering in prayer!

Persevering in Prayer Dear Mary TV Family, Apostles of Our Lady of Medjugorje, “Be angry but do not sin,” (Eph 4:26). These thoughts have been very much on my mind: Today wolves in sheep’s clothing – shepherds even at the highest levels of the Church -are trying to change the Church’s teachings on marriage and family.  “I bow my knees before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,” (Eph 3: 14,15).  This is the work of anti-christ! As I thought about this, anger was starting to work its way into my heart.  And then I heard Ivan speak after Our Lady’s August 11th apparition.  (I share his words during the August 12, 2020 Rosary on the digital sea):  https://marytv.tv/daily-rosary/ His words changed my life!   He reiterated that Our Lady is calling us to live her messages, to be persevering and patient.  “If we do not have peace in our hearts then we cannot understand, we cannot accept, we cannot live the message of prayer.  Prayer today is so important.  So much Our Lady has been calling us to prayer, to the prayer with the heart.  Our hearts need to be open.   We need to be at peace…” On June 25, 2019 Our Lady had said, “I am praying with you for peace which is the most precious gift, even though Satan wants war and hatred. You, little children, be my extended hands and proudly go with God,” June 25, 2019).  I had assumed Our Lady was referring to the wars being reported in the news, riots in cities, etc., etc.  But listening to Ivan I realized she was warning about the hatred and war Satan wants to take place within my own heart! Our Lady had warned:  “You, little children, pray and fight against temptation and all the evil plans which the devil offers you through modernism. Be strong in prayer and with the cross in your hands pray that evil may not use you and may not conquer in you. I am with you and pray for you.”  (March 25, 2015). With anger in my heart I would lose peace and wouldn’t be able to pray! That’s what Our Lady so urgently needs from me right now: persevering prayer! God bless you! Denis Nolan

August 14, 2020 Reflection – The Assumption is only 1 day away!

The cure for the pessimism and despair of the Modern World. (c)Mary TV 2020 August 14, 2020 St. Maximilian Kolbe, Priest and Martyr Dear Family of Mary! We are now 1 day away from the Feast of the Assumption!  I am getting excited!!  Today for our preparation I have two consecration prayers for us to pray.  They are both written by powerful Polish Saints!!! The first is written by St. John Paul II, in 1982!  The second is written by St. Maximilian Kolbe!!  Both men were devoted and powerful servants of Our Lady, and both had lived during the very trying times of the 20th Century.  These prayers will be a good preparation for tomorrow’s feast.  Thank you for joining me in this little preparation for the Feast of the Assumption, 2020 – 70 years!! Prayer of Consecration to Mary by Pope John Paul II 1982 To You, Oh Mary! Prayers of Consecration Kneeling before the image of Our Lady “Salus Populi Romani,” at the end of the Mass he celebrated in the Basilica of St. Mary Major on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the Holy Father renewed the act of consecration of the Church and the world to Mary. Part of the Holy Father’s prayer is printed below: O Mother of men and peoples, you know all their sufferings and their hopes, you feel in a motherly way all the struggles between good and evil, between the light and the darkness which shakes the world, accept our cry addressed in the Holy Spirit directly to your heart and embrace with the love of the Mother and the Handmaid of the Lord the peoples who await this embrace the most, and likewise the peoples whose consecration you too are particularly awaiting. Take under your motherly protection the whole human family which we can consecrate to you, O mother, with affectionate rapture. May the time of peace and freedom, the time of truth, justice and hope, approach for everyone. O you, who are the first handmaid of the unity of the Body of Christ, help us, help all the faithful, who feel so painful the drama of divisions of Christianity to seek with constancy the way to the perfect unity of the Body of Christ by means of unconditional faithfulness to the Spirit of Truth and Love, which was given to them by your Son at the cost of the cross and death. O you, who are so deeply and maternally bound to the Church, preceding the whole People of God along the ways of faith, hope and charity, embrace all men who are on the way, pilgrims through temporal life towards eternal destinies, with that love which the divine Redeemer himself, you Son, poured into your heart from the cross. Be the Mother of all our earthly lives, even when they become tortuous, in order that we may all find ourselves, in the end in that large community which you Son called the fold, offering his life for it as the Good Shepherd. O you, who were with the Church at the beginning of her mission, intercede for her in order that going all over the world she may continually teach all the nations and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. O you, who have known in the fullest way the power of the Holy Spirit, when it was granted to you to conceive in your virginal womb and to give birth to the Eternal Word, obtain for the Church that she may continue to give new birth through water and the Holy Spirit to the sons and daughters of the whole human family, without any distinction of language, race, or culture, giving them in this way the “power to be come with children of God.” (Jn. 1:12). O you, who have always wished to serve! You who serve as Mother the whole family of the children of God, obtain for the Church that enriched by the Holy Spirit with the fullness of hierarchical and charismatic gifts, she may continue with constancy towards the future along the way of that renewal which comes from what the Holy Spirit says and which found expression in the teaching of Vatican II, assuming in this work of renewal everything that is true and good, without letting herself be deceived either in on direction or in the other, but discerning assiduously among the signs of the times what is useful for the coming of the Kingdom of God. O you, who–through the mystery of your particular holiness, free of all stain from the moment of your conception–feel in a particularly deep way that “the whole creation has been groaning in travail” (Rom. 8:22), while, “subjected to futility,” “it hopes that it will be set free from its bondage to decay” (Rom. 8:20-21), you contribute unceasingly to the “revealing of the sons of God,” for whom “the creation awaits with eager longing” (Rom. 8:19), to enter the freedom of their joy (cf. Rom. 8:21). O Mother of Jesus, now glorified in heaven in body and in soul, as the image and beginning of the Church, which is to have its fulfillment in the future age–here on earth, until the day of the Lord comes (cf. 2 Pt. 3:10), do not cease to shine before the pilgrim people of God as a sign of sure hope and consolation (cf. Lumen Gentium, 68). O you, who more than any other human being have been consecrated to the Holy Spirit, help your Son’s Church to persevere in the same consecration. Holy Spirit of God, Who are worshipped and glorified with the Father and Son! Accept these words of humble consecration addressed to You in the heart of Mary of Nazareth, Your bride and mother of the Redeemer, whom the Church too calls her Mother, because right from the Upper Room at Pentecost she has learned from Her, her own motherly vocation! Accept these words of the pilgrim Church, uttered amid toils and joys, fears and hopes. (written by His Holiness, Pope Saint John Paul II) Act of Consecration to Mary written by St. Maximilian Kolbe O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you.  I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property.  Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you. If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: “She will crush your head,” and, “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the world.”  Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.  For wherever you enter, you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. V. Allow me to praise you, O sacred Virgin. R. Give me strength against your enemies. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020

August 12, 2020 Reflection – The Assumption is only 3 days away!

The cure for the pessimism and despair of the Modern World. (c)Mary TV 2020 August 12, 2020 St. Jane Frances de Chantel Dear Family of Mary! The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is just 3 days away!!  This great Feast is so very important!!  It was proclaimed in 1950 by Pope Pius XII.  This is the 70th year that we as a church have honored Mary, Assumed into Heaven.  Seventy is a holy number, a complete number.  Maybe something wonderful in God’s plan for Our Lady’s triumph will happen on this special day!! I want to share something with you that I wrote in 2017 about Our Lady and her Assumption.  It may help you to grasp the importance of this reality, that Our Lady was assumed into heaven, body and soul! I wanted to share something with you about the Assumption as we prepare for the feast.  For some reason, in prayer I felt drawn to a book I read quite a while ago, “The World’s First Love, Mary, Mother of God” by Archbishop Fulton J Sheen.  I looked through the contents and found the chapter on the Assumption.  And when I began to read it, I saw that I had underlined almost every word of that chapter!  It is a blockbuster! But the last few paragraphs are really pertinent for us because Sheen points to something in a prophetic way that we are experiencing.  “The World’s First Love” was written in 1952, only two years after the Dogma of the Assumption was declared by Pope Pius XII.  And yet, Sheen seems to see the plan of God in that declaration. Let’s listen to him: “Within three decades the definition of the Assumption will cure the pessimism and despair of the modern world.  Freud, who did so much to develop this pessimism, took as his motto; “If I cannot move the Gods on high, I shall set all hell in an uproar.”  That uproar which he created will now be stilled by a Lady as powerful as an “army drawn up in battle array.”  The age of the “body beautiful” will now become the age of the Assumption. “In Mary there is a triple transition.  In the annunciation we pass from the holiness of the Old Testament to the holiness of Christ.  At Pentecost we pass from the holiness of the historical Christ to the holiness of the Mystical Christ or His Body, which is the Church.  Mary here received the Spirit for a second time.  The first overshadowing was to give birth to the Head of the Church: this second overshadowing is to give birth to His Body as she is in the midst of the Apostles abiding in prayer.  The third transition is the Assumption, as she becomes the first human person to realize the historical destiny of the faithful as members of Christ’s Mystical Body, beyond time, beyond death, and beyond judgment. “Mary is always in the vanguard of humanity.  She is compared to Wisdom, presiding at creation; she is announced as the woman who will conquer Satan, as the Virgin who will conceive.  She becomes the first person since the Fall to have a unique and unrepeatable kind of union with God; she mothers the infant Christ in Bethlehem; she mothers the Mystical Christ at Jerusalem; and now, by her Assumption, she goes ahead like her Son to prepare a place for us.  She participates in the glory of her son, reigns with Him, presides at His Side over the destinies of the Church in time, and intercedes for us, to Him, as He, in His turn, intercedes to the Heavenly Father. “Adam came before Eve chronologically.  The new Adam, Christ, comes after the new Eve, Mary, chronologically, although existentially He preceded her as the Creator a creature.  By stressing for the moment only the time element, Mary always seems to be the advent of what is in store for man.  She anticipates Christ for nine months, as she bears Heaven within her; she anticipates His Passion at Cana and His Church at Pentecost.  Now, in the last great doctrine of the Assumption, she anticipates Heavenly glory, and the definition comes at a time when men think of it least. “One wonders if this could not be the last of the great truths of Mary to be defined by the Church.  Anything else might seem to be an anticlimax after she is declared to be in Heaven, body and soul.  But actually there is one other truth left to be defined, and that is that she is the Mediatrix, under her Son, of all graces.  As St. Paul speaks of the Ascension of Our Lord as the prelude to His intercession for us, so we fittingly, should speak of the Assumption of Our Lady as a prelude to her intercession for us.  First, the place, Heaven; then the function, intercession.  The nature of her role is not to call her Son’s attention to some need, in an emergency unnoticed by Him, nor is it to “win” a difficult consent.  Rather it is to unite herself to His compassionate Mercy and give a human voice to His Infinite Love.  The main ministry of Mary is to incline men’s’ hearts to obedience to the will of her Divine Son.  Her last recorded words at Cana are still her words in the Assumption; ‘Whatsoever He shall say to you, that do ye.’” (Fulton J Sheen. The World’s First Love. Th Assumption and the Modern World. P. 120-121) Archbishop Sheen clearly sees that Mary, in her Assumption, is the key to our age of despair.  In Mary, humanity has hope.  In her Assumption, life again has meaning.  We are not creatures without souls, and without an eternal future.  We are called to live forever with our God, who loves us, and Mary shows us the way. I also find it interesting that in 1952 Archbishop Sheen would project that in three decades after the Dogma was declared “the definition of the Assumption will cure the pessimism and despair of the modern world.”  This is a huge claim.  Sheen died in 1979, just shy of the three decades.  What came next he could not have foreseen.  Our Lady came to Medjugorje in 1981 and since then has been curing pessimism and despair in millions of her children.  Through her presence, her messages and her intercession, Mary is reversing the terrible curse of atheism and despair in the world, one person at a time. I believe that Our Lady in Medjugorje has set up camp, declaring that she is with us in our fight against the devil and all evil.  She is with us to help us draw close to her Son and to learn to live in Him.  She is with us in these days to be Jesus’ compassionate Mercy for us.  She intercedes in our midst, in Medjugorje, to bring about the Kingdom of Heaven in us.  The Dogma of the Assumption is bearing great fruit in our day, as Sheen said.  It is curing pessimism and despair and bringing us heaven through Our Lady’s presence in Medjugorje!!  If Sheen is right and Mary is the advent of all of God’s great works, the Incarnation, the Passion, the Birth of the Church, and now Heavenly Glory, then her coming to Medjugorje must be the advent of the coming of her Son.  She is here to prepare the way for His coming! I truly believe that Our Lady is about to turn the tables on the devil.  Our Mother is with us to win!  Let’s pray with all our hearts for her intentions and for the salvation of souls. Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 11/28/1983) O Immaculate Heart of Mary, overflowing with goodness, Show us your love for us. May the flame of your heart, Oh Mary, Descend upon all peoples. We love you immensely. Impress in our hearts a true love. May our hearts yearn for you. Oh Mary, sweet and humble of heart, Remember us when we sin. You know that all mankind are sinners. Through your most sacred and maternal heart, Cure us from every spiritual illness. Make us capable of looking at the beauty of your maternal heart, And that, thus, we may be converted to the flame of your heart. Amen Amen! In Jesus Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020

August 11, 2020 Reflection – Like a little child!

Like a little child! (c)Mary TV 2020 August 11, 2020 St. Clare Dear Family of Mary! Our Gospel for today is a beautiful scripture passage! Jesus speaks about humble souls, the souls of little children.  He shows the Heart of God in this passage: The disciples approached Jesus and said, “Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?” He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me. “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father. What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.”  (Mt 18:1-5, 10, 12-14) Our Lady has often spoken to us about humility, about being little, about being childlike. This is truly a quality she looks for in us.  Jesus does too!  We might wonder how we can be childlike.  But I think it is impossible to think our way into being childlike.  Rather, we are like children when we are relating to Our Father, Our Mother, and Our Brother Jesus!  When we are with them, we are really children.  So small, and so dependent and so much in love!! Let’s take some time with these messages about humility and being childlike.  They may help us to get in touch with Our Father in Heaven. July 25, 1989 “Dear children! Today I am calling you to renew your hearts. Open yourselves to God and surrender to him all your difficulties and crosses so, God may turn everything into joy. Little children, you cannot open yourselves to God if you do not pray. Therefore, from today, decide to consecrate a time in the day only for an encounter with God in silence. In that way you will be able, with God, to witness my presence here. Little children, I do not wish to force you. Rather freely give God your time, like children of God. Thank you for having responded to my call.” December 2, 2008 “Dear children; In this holy time of joyful expectation, God has chosen you little ones to realize His great intentions. My children, be humble. Through your humility, God, with His wisdom, will make of your souls a chosen home. You will illuminate it with good works and thus, with an open heart, you will welcome the birth of my Son in all of His generous love. Thank you, dear children.” October 2, 2010 “Dear children; Today I call you to a humble, my children, humble devotion. Your hearts need to be just. May your crosses be your means in the battle against the sins of the present time. May your weapon be patience and boundless love, a love that knows to wait and which will make you capable of recognizing God’s signs, that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies… My children, my apostles, help me to open the paths to my Son. Once again, I call you to pray for your shepherds. Alongside them, I will triumph. Thank you.” September 02, 2013 “Dear children, I love you all. All of you, all of my children, all of you are in my heart. All of you have my motherly love, and I desire to lead all of you to come to know God’s joy. This is why I am calling you. I need humble apostles who, with an open heart, will accept the Word of God and help others to comprehend the meaning of their life alongside God’s word. To be able to do this my children, through prayer and fasting, you must learn to listen with the heart and to learn to keep submitting yourselves. You must learn to keep rejecting everything that distances you from God’s word and to yearn only for that which draws you closer to it. Do not be afraid. I am here. You are not alone. I am imploring the Holy Spirit to renew and strengthen you. I am imploring the Holy Spirit that, as you help others, you too may be healed. I am imploring Him that, through Him, you may be God’s children and my apostles.” January 02, 2014 “Dear children, for you to be able to be my apostles and to be able to help all those who are in darkness, to come to know the light of the love of my Son, you must have pure and humble hearts. You cannot help for my Son to be born in, and to reign in, the hearts of those who do not know Him, if He does not reign – if He is not the King – in your heart. I am with you. I am walking with you as a mother. I am knocking on your hearts. They cannot open because they are not humble. I am praying, and you my beloved children also pray, that you may be able to open pure and humble hearts to my Son and to receive the gifts which He has promised you. Then you will be led by the love and strength of my Son. Then, you will be my apostles who everywhere around them spread the fruits of God’s love. My Son will act from within you and through you, because you will be ‘one’. My motherly heart yearns for this – for unity of all of my children – through my Son. With great love I bless and pray for those who are chosen by my Son – for your shepherds. Thank you.” St. Clare, pray for us to become children of God as you did, trusting Him in everything and loving Him unreservedly! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020

August 10, 2020 Reflection – Save us, O Holy Cross!

August 10, 2020 St. Lawrence, Deacon and Martyr Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! In this peaceless time in which the devil is harvesting souls to draw them to himself, I am calling you to persevering prayer, so that in prayer you discover the God of love and hope. Little children, take the Cross in your hands. May it be your encouragement for love to always win, in a special way now when the Cross and faith are rejected. You be a reflection and an example with your lives that faith and hope are still alive and a new world of peace is possible. I am with you and intercede for you before my Son, Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.”  (July 25, 2020) Our Lady encourages us to “take the Cross in your hands.  May it be your encouragement for love to always win, in a special way now when the Cross and Faith are rejected.”  When many are rejecting the Cross, turning from faith, we must those who lean into the faith and hold the Cross high!  We need to be those who have the courage to stand for the faith, to be love in this world so in need of it.  We can’t let her down.  She is standing with us and she needs us to raise the Cross high and affirm it as our standard! I want to share a Litany of the Holy Cross with you.  It is a powerful declaration of belief in the Cross.  The response to the many titles given to the Cross is “Save us, O Holy Cross”.  And here is an explanation of that response: “This litany dates from the Middle Ages and from many countries; while the refrain refers to the Holy Cross, it is considered that in doing so, we are actually referring to our Savior Who hung upon it and thereby redeemed us all. By our salutation to the chief instrument of Our Lord’s Passion and death, we trust in hope that He will show mercy to us.” So when we call upon the Cross, we are calling upon Jesus, who died upon that Cross for our salvation.  This of course it the reason that the Cross is salvific! Here is the Litany: Litany of the Holy Cross For Private Use Only.  Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. God the Father of Heaven, Have mercy on us. God the Son, Redeemer of the world, Have mercy on us. God the Holy Ghost, our Advocate, Have mercy on us. Holy Trinity, one God, Have mercy on us. Holy Cross whereon the Lamb of God was offered, Save us, O Holy Cross. Hope of Christians, Save us, O Holy Cross. Pledge of the resurrection of the dead, etc. Shelter of persecuted innocence, Guide of the blind, Way of those who have gone astray, Staff of the lame, Consolation of the poor , Restraint of the powerful, Destruction of the proud, Refuge of sinners, Trophy of victory over Hell, Terror of demons, Mistress of youth, Succor of the distressed, Hope of the hopeless, Star of the mariner, Harbor of the wrecked, Rampart of the besieged, Father of orphans, Defense of widows, Counsel of the just, Judge of the wicked, Rest of the afflicted, Safeguard of childhood, Strength of manhood, Last hope of the aged, Light of those who sit in darkness, Splendor of kings, Civilizer of the world, Shield impenetrable, Wisdom of the foolish, Liberty of slaves, Knowledge of the ignorant, Sure rule of life, Heralded by Prophets, Preached by Apostles, Glory of Martyrs, Study of hermits, Chastity of virgins, Joy of priests, Foundation of the Church, Salvation of the world, Destruction of idolatry, Condemnation of the ungodly, Support of the weak, Medicine of the sick, Health of the leprous, Strength of the paralytic, Bread of the hungry, Fountain of those who thirst, Clothing of the naked, Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, Spare us, O Lord. Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, Hear us, O Lord. Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, Have mercy on us. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee, R. Because by Thy Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world. [Together] Behold the Cross of the Lord! Begone ye evil powers! The Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has conquered! Alleluia! Let Us Pray. O God, Who for the redemption of the world, wast pleased to be born in a stable and to die upon a cross; O Lord Jesus Christ, by Thy holy sufferings, which we, Thy unworthy servants, call to mind: by Thy Holy Cross, and by Thy death, deliver us from the pains of Hell, and vouchsafe to conduct us whither Thou didst conduct the good thief who was crucified with Thee, Who livest and reignest eternally in Heaven. R. Amen. Sweet the wood, sweet the nails, sweet the Burden which thou bearest, for thou alone, O Holy Cross, wast worthy to bear the King and Lord of Heaven. R. Amen.  May this litany strengthen our faith and love, as we stand with Our Lady in these difficult days. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020

August 7, 2020 Reflection – Take the Cross in your hands!

August 7, 2020   Dear Family of Mary! Thank you for having responded to my call.” (July 25, 2020) In this difficult time for our world, we can wonder about suffering. Why does it happen. Where is God? How can we endure it? I think Cardinal Pulic’s homily helped us to recognize that suffering is part of life, part of successfully living a good life.  Jesus showed us the way through His Passion and Death. And His was the greatest victory of all time! Our Lady has often mentioned the Cross in her messages. She encourages us to have a living relationship with the Cross. She wants us to embrace our crosses out of love for Jesus. She knows that these crosses are the way to holiness and eternal life. And she was not afraid of her crosses. She trusted the Father and always said ‘yes’. I have made a collection of messages that we might meditate on this weekend, as we pray. We want to be successes in life! That means we have to fight our way through our crosses to the victory of love. We want to be like Jesus. “Dear children! Without prayer there is no peace. Therefore I say to you, dear children, pray at the foot of the Cross for peace. (09/06/84) “Dear children! I wish to tell you that the Cross should be central these days. Pray especially before the Cross from which great graces are coming. Now in your homes make a special consecration to the Cross. Promise that you will neither offend Jesus nor abuse the Cross. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (09/12/85) “Dear children! The second message of these Lenten days is that you renew prayer before the Cross. Dear children, I am giving you special graces and Jesus is giving you special gifts from the Cross. Take them and live! Reflect on Jesus’ Passion and in your life be united with Jesus! Thank you for having responded to my call.” (02/20/86) “Dear children! For these days while you are joyfully celebrating the Cross, I desire that your cross also would be a joy for you. Especially, dear children, pray that you may be able to accept sickness and suffering with love the way Jesus accepted them. Only that way shall I be able with joy to give out to you the graces and healings which Jesus is permitting me. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (09/11/86) “Dear children! Today I invite you to offer your crosses and suffering for my intentions. Little children, I am your mother and I wish to help you by seeking for you the grace from God. Little children, offer your sufferings as a gift to God so they become a most beautiful flower of joy. That is why, little children, pray that you may understand that suffering can become joy and the cross the way of joy. Thank you for having for responded to my call.” (09/25/96) “Dear children! Today, in a special way, I invite you to take the cross in the hands and to meditate on the wounds of Jesus. Ask of Jesus to heal your wounds, which you, dear children, during your life sustained because of your sins or the sins of your parents. Only in this way, dear children, you will understand that the world is in need of healing of faith in God the Creator. By Jesus’ passion and death on the cross, you will understand that only through prayer you, too, can become true apostles of faith; when, in simplicity and prayer, you live faith which is a gift. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (03/25/97) “Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. In this time of grace, may the cross be a sign-post of love and unity for you through which true peace comes. That is why, little children, pray especially at this time that little Jesus, the Creator of peace, may be born in your hearts. Only through prayer will you become my apostles of peace in this world without peace. That is why, pray until prayer becomes a joy for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (11/25/99) “Dear children! In this time of grace I call you to take the cross of my beloved Son Jesus in your hands and to meditate on His passion and death. May your suffering be united in His suffering and love will win, because He who is love gave Himself out of love to save each of you. Pray, pray, pray until love and peace begin to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (03/25/2013) “Dear children! Also today the Most High permits me to be with you and to lead you on the way of conversion. Many hearts have shut themselves to grace and have become deaf to my call. You, little children, pray and fight against temptation and all the evil plans which the devil offers you through modernism. Be strong in prayer and with the cross in your hands pray that evil may not use you and may not conquer in you. I am with you and pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (03/25/2015) “Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling all of you to conversion. Little children, you love little and pray even less. You are lost and do not know what your goal is. Take the cross, look at Jesus and follow Him. He gives Himself to you to the death on the cross, because He loves you. Little children, I am calling you: return to prayer with the heart so as to find hope and the meaning of your existence, in prayer. I am with you and am praying for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (02/25/2016) “Dear children! I am calling you to be with me in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light. Pray, little children, confess and begin a new life in grace. Decide for God and He will lead you towards holiness; and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for you. Be proud that you are baptized and grateful in your heart that you are a part of God’s plan. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (03/25/2018) Don’t be daunted by how many messages I have listed! Just take your time with Our Lady’s words, and let them sink in. You can go at it slowly. The Holy Spirit will speak through Our Lady’s words, and make us strong in faith and ready to say yes to God!! Have a blessed weekend! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020
