July 27, 2020 Reflection – If God is for us, who is against us?

(c)Mary TV If God is for us, who is against us? July 27, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! In this peaceless time in which the devil is harvesting souls to draw them to himself, I am calling you to persevering prayer, so that in prayer you discover the God of love and hope. Little children, take the Cross in your hands. May it be your encouragement for love to always win, in a special way now when the Cross and faith are rejected. You be a reflection and an example with your lives that faith and hope are still alive and a new world of peace is possible. I am with you and intercede for you before my Son, Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.”  (July 25, 2020) As Denis and I were praying yesterday after we received this message, we opened the Bible at random, asking the Holy Spirit for a passage from Scripture that might help us to understand more fully what Our Lady was saying to us!  And we opened to Romans 8: 18-39.  It is a very famous section of St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans.  I could read it over and over.  It helps us to understand how to view our present sufferings, in relation to the Cross and Victory of Jesus.  Our Lady said that we need to discover the God of love and hope through prayer.  And to take the Cross in our hands and be encouraged!!  That is exactly what St. Paul was exhorting his fellow Christians to do as they faced the persecution of the Romans.  Such beautiful words!!  I encourage us all to read and reread this passage, as we pray.  It may change our tired hearts into hearts on fire with love and hope! St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans, 8: 18-39 : I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope;  because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now; and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.  For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.  Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words. And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.  For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren.  And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies; who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, “For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 18-39) Amen!  Amen!  We are more than conquerors through him who loved us!!!!  We can be a reflection and an example with our lives that faith and hope are still alive and a new world of peace is possible! July 24, 2020 Reflection – The Great Plan of Salvation of Mankind

July 24, 2020 St. Sharbel Makhluf, Priest Dear Family of Mary! Tomorrow we look forward to another message from Our Lady. The 25th of the month has become a very special day for us!  Our Lady has been giving messages on this particular day of the month since January of 1987.  Our Lady announced the monthly messages on January 8, 1987.  Here is what she said: January 8, 1987 “Dear children! I desire to thank you for every response to the messages. Especially, dear children, thank you for all the sacrifices and prayers which you have presented to me. Dear children, I desire to keep on giving you still further messages, only not every Thursday, dear children, but on each 25th in the month. The time has come when what my Lord desired has been fulfilled. Now I will give you less messages, but I am still with you. Therefore, dear children, I beseech you, listen to my messages and live them, so I can guide you. Dear children, thank you for having responded to my call. Our Lady was transitioning her children from weekly messages to monthly messages. The weekly messages had done their job, and Our Lady’s children were ready to move into a new phase of the mission.  She told us about that mission in the first Monthly Message – January 25, 1987: January 25, 1987 The first message on the 25th of the month, given to Marija: “Today I want to appeal to all of you to start living a new life from this day on. Dear children, I wish that you would understand that God has chosen each one of you to have a part in the great plan for the salvation of mankind. You cannot fully understand how great your role is in God’s design. For that reason, pray, dear children, so that through prayer, you may be able to know your role in God’s plan. I am with you, so that you may be able to realize it fully.” Wow! Our Lady told us that each one of us had been chosen!  We each had a particular part in the “great plan for the salvation of mankind.”  She told us we were not able to comprehend how great that role is.  Only through prayer could we begin to understand it! The transition to monthly messages brought with it the announcement of a “great plan for the salvation of mankind.”  And that plan included each of us who were responding to Our Lady’s call. And since that call continues, all of us since that time are also included in that plan and responsibility.  We all have been chosen!!! We cherish Our Lady’s messages.  They are the vehicle through which she has formed us as her apostles of love.  And so, we await the message for tomorrow, with great anticipation. As we wait, let’s ponder the June 25, 2020 message, given to us on the 39th Anniversary of her coming.  Thank you, dearest Mother, for being with us these 39 years, and forming us into your apostle of love. June 25, 2020 “Dear children! I am listening to your cries and prayers, and am interceding for you before my Son Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Return, little children, to prayer and open your hearts in this time of grace and set out on the way of conversion. Your life is passing and, without God, does not have meaning. This is why I am with you to lead you towards holiness of life, so that each of you may discover the joy of living. I love you all, little children, and am blessing you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020

July 23, 2020 Reflection – Prayer works miracles!

July 23, 2020 St. Bridget, Religious and Married Woman Dear Family of Mary! April 25, 2001 “Dear children! Also today, I call you to prayer. Little children, prayer works miracles. When you are tired and sick and you do not know the meaning of your life, take the Rosary and pray; pray until prayer becomes for you a joyful meeting with your Savior. I am with you, little children, and I intercede and pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” During these days of trial and unusual difficulties, we may all be a little bit tired.  Such difficulties require a great deal of energy.  Being sick can really throw us off.  We may be tempted to lose hope, to get listless about the spiritual life.  Life is always a trial.  Things don’t go our way.  We have to practice patience and trust in so many ways.  It can be at times like this that we grow lax in our prayer. Our Lady understands this.  And so, in this message she gave us a pep talk about prayer.  “Also today, I call you to prayer.”  She lets us know that she knows she has been calling us to prayer in every message, but “also today” she is going to call us to prayer again!! Why does she call us to prayer so consistently?  “Little children, prayer works miracles.”  That’s why!  She wants us to receive miracles from her Son.  We need miracles.  We need miracles of faith, of hope and of love.  We need healings.  We need inner healings.  We need to get that job or find the person to marry.  We need to be converted more completely.  Prayer connects us to God, the One who can truly help us in our lives. And so, when we are tired and sick and we do not know the meaning of our lives, we need to tale the Rosary and pray;  pray until prayer becomes for us a joyful meeting with our Savior.  When we take up the Rosary and pray, we are saying, “I will not give up on prayer.  I will pray, not matter how I feel right now.  I will pray the Rosary with Our Lady, no matter what.  This not giving up is important. Mother Immaculata wrote in her book “Communion with God”: Whatever happens we must never give up prayer: “Never give up our hours of prayer; you do not know when the Bridegroom will summon you, and you might share the fate of the foolish virgins.” (Way of Perfection. Ch. 18:4 St. Teresa of Avila) “If he does not give up prayer, let him be assured of this…prayer will bring him to the haven of light.” (Lettters of St. Teresa, No 19:7)   St. Teresa assures us that even the so-called obstacles to prayer such as aridity, distraction, impotence to think anything good, burdens of worries and anxieties can even be used as the subject of our prayer and can help prayer.  (Sister Immaculata. Communion with God. P. 119) We do not know when the bridegroom will summon us!!  May we be found in prayer, with our Rosaries in our hands!  We will not be alone in that prayer.  Our Lady says,” I am with you, little children, and I intercede and pray for you.”  Our Mother will pray with us.  Indeed, she never stops praying for us. May we never give up on prayer.  Prayer works miracles! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020

July 22, 2020 Reflection – The Presence of God

In the Presence of God (c) Mary TV July 22, 2020 St. Mary Magdalene Dear Family of Mary! Today is the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene! She is a wonderful saint. When she encountered Jesus, she became one of the women who followed Him, and took care of his needs out of their own means. She was present with our Lady at the foot of the Cross. And she was the first to see Jesus after the Resurrection, the one Jesus sent to announce the good news to the Apostles. St. Mary Magdalene represents one who is totally devoted to Jesus. And she is the patron saint of contemplatives. In this message from August 2019, Our Lady seemed to call us to contemplation and a deep relationship with her Son. I think this message is very beautiful. As you read it, let the words speak to you of the Love of Jesus for you personally: August 02, 2019″Dear children, great is the love of my Son. If you were to come to know the greatness of His love, you would never cease to adore and thank Him. He is always alive with you in the Eucharist, because the Eucharist is His Heart. The Eucharist is the heart of faith. He has never left you. Even when you tried to go away from Him, He has not left you. That is why my motherly heart is happy when I watch how you – filled with love – return to Him, when I see that you are coming to Him by the way of reconciliation, love, and hope. My motherly heart knows that when you set out on the way of faith, you are shoots – buds. But along with prayer and fasting you will be fruits, my flowers, apostles of my love; you will be carriers of light and will illuminate all those around you with love and wisdom. My children, as a mother I am imploring you: pray, think, and contemplate. Everything beautiful, painful and joyful that happens to you – all of this makes you grow spiritually, so that my Son may grow in you. My children, surrender yourselves to Him, believe Him, trust in His love, let Him lead you. Let the Eucharist be the place where you will feed your souls, and afterwards, will spread love and truth – will bear witness to my Son. Thank you.” “Pray, think and contemplate…” Three beautiful steps to get closer to Jesus! I want to share some words of wisdom from Mother Immaculata, O.C.D. She speaks from the beautiful tradition of the Carmelite order about prayer and communion with God. Here is a beautiful paragraph about the prayer of recollection: IV. Recollection and the Practice of the Presence of God The cultivation of this habit of frequently returning to the remembrance of God or some mystery of the Incarnation, has traditionally been called the practice of the presence of God, although, strictly speaking, we cannot really practice the presence of God since God’s presence is something given to us. God is always present at all times and in all places. If He gives a person a constant awareness of His presence it is a pure gift of grace, so that when we use this term: “practice of the presence of God’ we are speaking of what we can do to train ourselves to remember that He is with us in many different ways. It refers to the use of our own God-given powers in a special exercise that will develop a habit of seeing Him everywhere and in every action, of looking to Him for guidance, of being aware of Him here or there, even when our minds are occupied, much the same as a wife is constantly aware of her husband in the room even while she is busy with her work. She is not always thinking directly about him, but she speaks to him from time to time, or by a touch or glance or smile maintains the warmth of their contact and communion. Every one of our thoughts cannot always be directly on God. It is a matter of turning our minds lovingly to Him whenever we can do so, so that gradually we form a habit. A willingness and alertness to put out distractions is necessary. Gradually we come to abide in His love all the time and are able to be with Him without anxious strain to force our minds to think of Him constantly. Peace is always necessary to form this habit. All our efforts must be peaceful and gentle. We must not neglect to ask Him for the ability and grace to think of Him often and to stay with Him always. We must pray to be able to pray. (Sister Immaculata, O.C.D. “Communion with God, the Pathways of Prayer. p 28-29) Mother Immaculata’s words remind me of Our Lady’s words in this message: “If you were to come to know the greatness of His love, you would never cease to adore and thank Him…” The more time we spend in prayer, thinking of Jesus, and contemplating His love, the more we will grow in communion with Him, and we will live more and more in His presence. I also find the idea of our being gentle with ourselves in this process very consoling and encouraging. We must know that Jesus wants us to approach Him throughout the day, and so we are encouraged to turn to Him peacefully and gently. This is the method of love. May we find our way to the peace and joy of communion with Jesus, as Mother Immaculata and Our Lady both teach us… In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan © Mary TV 2020 PS. Constant Contact required that I begin to use a new template for the Reflections. I am still fine-tuning it, but I hope it will work for you on all your devices. Thanks for your patience!

July 21, 2020 Reflection – The Crucifix

The Crucifix (c) Mary TV   July 21, 2020 St. Lawrence of Brindisi Dear Family of Mary! I don’t think we realize the incredible power of the Crucifix. The Crucifix is the representation of our salvation. It depicts the God-Man dying in agony out of love for each one of us, taking our sins upon himself, and opening the doors to paradise for us to enter in. The Crucifix is the sign of the total defeat of the devil and all the fallen angels. It is the victory sign for all who believe! The Crucifix defeats the enemy in combat. In the Magnificat for today, St. Lawrence of Brindisi is introduced in this way: Lawrence was born in 1559 in Brindisi, Italy. He joined the Capuchins, becoming a masterful scholar of Scripture. To his first Capuchin superior, who wanted to impress upon him the severity of the religious life, he said, “Father, there will be nothing difficult here, provided we have a crucifix.” After reaching throughout Europe, Lawrence was made the chaplain of the imperial army under Rudulf II. At Stuhlweissenburg near Budapest, he rode into battle, clutching only a crucifix. On the final day of the battle, Lawrence wore out five horses. The Ottoman forces were defeated. Lawrence died in 1619. (Magnificat, Tuesday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time – July 21,  2020) St. Lawrence was so strongly attached to the Crucifix and to the redemption and grace that are represented in it, that he was sure he could live a life of austerity as long as the Crucifix was present. And he went into battle armed with the Crucifix alone!! Victory!! Our Lady asks us to pray with the Crucifix, meditate on the wounds of Christ on the Crucifix, look at Jesus on the Cross, and let the Cross be the sign of victory and hope. The Cross must be central in our prayer. She has instituted Veneration of the Cross at St. James Parish every Friday after Holy Mass. She wants us to realize what a gift the Crucifix is. Like St. Lawrence, we need to realize that as long as there is a Crucifix present, we can do all things. Here are five messages in which Our Lady calls us to pray with and meditate on the Crucifix (or Cross). We might use them for the Sorrowful Mysteries today. March 25, 2015 “Dear children! Also, today the Most High permits me to be with you and to lead you on the way of conversion. Many hearts have shut themselves to grace and have become deaf to my call. You, little children, pray and fight against temptation and all the evil plans which the devil offers you through modernism. Be strong in prayer and with the cross in your hands pray that evil may not use you and may not conquer in you. I am with you and pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” March 25, 1997 “Dear children! Today, in a special way, I invite you to take the cross in the hands and to meditate on the wounds of Jesus. Ask of Jesus to heal your wounds, which you, dear children, during your life sustained because of your sins or the sins of your parents. Only in this way, dear children, you will understand that the world is in need of healing of faith in God the Creator. By Jesus’ passion and death on the cross, you will understand that only through prayer you, too, can become true apostles of faith; when, in simplicity and prayer, you live faith which is a gift. Thank you for having responded to my call.” March 25, 2013 “Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you to take the cross of my beloved Son Jesus in your hands and to meditate on His passion and death. May your suffering be united in His suffering and love will win, because He who is love gave Himself out of love to save each of you. Pray, pray, pray until love and peace begin to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call.” February 25, 2016 “Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling all of you to conversion. Little children, you love little and pray even less. You are lost and do not know what your goal is. Take the cross, look at Jesus and follow Him. He gives Himself to you to the death on the cross, because He loves you. Little children, I am calling you: return to prayer with the heart so as to find hope and the meaning of your existence, in prayer. I am with you and am praying for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” March 25, 2018 “Dear children! I am calling you to be with me in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light. Pray, little children, confess and begin a new life in grace. Decide for God and He will lead you towards holiness; and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for you. Be proud that you are baptized and grateful in your heart that you are a part of God’s plan. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! July 20, 2020 Reflection – Walk humbly with your God…

“Cry out the name of the Heavenly Father” (c) Mary TV   July 20, 2020 St. Apollinaris, Bishop, Martyr Dear Family of Mary! “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) This verse from Micah has always struck me as one of those moments when God, after much effort to draw His people back to Himself, just sat down of a rock and shook His head. What more could He do to show us the way? So wayward are we humans. And so with a last sigh, He told us again what He has said from the beginning: “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) I was saying to Denis yesterday morning after our morning Rosary, that it seems that God has given us everything we need to know about His will for us in the Ten Commandments, along with the Beatitudes and 1 Corinthians 13. Why is it so hard for us to follow Him? “You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you; Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) I think that we are much more childlike than we admit, and that we need our Mother to come and teach us how to live these three commands. She knows better than any other human how to live these beautiful commands. Do the Right. Love goodness. Walk humbly with your God. She did the right from the time of her conception. She loved righteousness, doing the right in every circumstance. That is why the Father could trust her with His Son. She loved goodness. She rejoiced in the good! Just read her Magnificat to understand what she loved! She loved God first, and mercy because it is God’s heart. She always walked humbly with her God. From the Immaculate Conception to the Assumption, Mary walked in complete trust and obedience to God, always ready to serve, always ready to pray, always ready to love. Our Lady is the very best guide in finding what is good and what the Lord requires of us. And in this most turbulent time, she is with us in Medjugorje! She will help us find our way to a truly humble devotion to God. July 02, 2014 “Dear children, I, the mother of all of you gathered here and the mother of the entire world, am blessing you with a motherly blessing and call you to set out on the way of humility. That way leads to the coming to know the love of my Son. My Son is almighty, He is in everything. If you, my children, do not become cognizant of this, then darkness/blindness rule in your soul. Only humility can heal you. My children, I always lived humbly, courageously and in hope. I knew, I became cognizant that God is in us and we are in God. I am asking the same of you. I desire for all of you to be with me in eternity, because you are a part of me. I will help you on your way. My love will envelop you like a mantle and make of you apostles of my light – of God’s light. With the love that comes forth from humility you will bring light to where darkness/blindness rule. You will be bringing my Son who is the light of the world. I am always alongside your shepherds and I pray that they may always be an example of humility for you… Thank you.” Mother, help us to set out on the way of humility today. Help us to walk humbly with our God. May we love the good and do the right, out of love for Jesus. And may we always stay very close to you, our Light, our Sweetness and our Hope! July 17, 2020 Reflection – Hallowed be Thy Name!

“Cry out the name of the Heavenly Father” (c) Mary TV   July 17, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! “…Therefore, my dear children, with hearts open and full of love, cry out the name of the Heavenly Father that He may illuminate you with the Holy Spirit.…” (April 2, 2014) After sharing about my experience with praying the Our Father, slowly and with great attention to each word, I received several confirmations from Shipmates!! Here are two: “So many people I know are really struggling right now with the incessant violence around us.  On one hand I want to revert to my weapons of old as a police officer, then on the other hand the only weapon I want is my rosary.  I feel torn between wanting physical combat with these people, and then wanting only spiritual combat under the generalship of Our Lady.  After reading this I prayed the Our Father in the manner you describe.  I really did feel the anxiety lifting from my soul.” (Chuck) “Oh my, Cathy, this happened to me yesterday after Mass. I wasn’t even conscious of starting the Our Father but it just happened and I prayed it slowly and with and within the Spirit. I too felt like I was in heaven for those few seconds. It was wonderful!” (Mary) Praise God, this is a gift from Our Lady for these difficult days. She wants to train us as she trained the young people in the prayer group at the beginning of her apparitions in Medjugorje. And specifically, to train us in our relationship with the Father, through the words of the Our Father. Franjo tells us that one day she stopped the prayer group from praying the Rosary and started a weeks long training in how to pray the Our Father. She had them pray it one word at a time until they were praying it in recollection and adoration. I think she wants to give us that gift today, individually as we slow down and really attend to the prayer with our hearts. We need this grace. And it is a grace as both Chuck and Mary said. Pray the Our Father often today, and with great peace and attention. And if you wish, you can pray this Litany to God the Father. I find it very helpful in adoring and blessing the Father. We need to be bonded to the Father now. Well that’s your weekend homework! The Litany of God the Father For Private Use Only. Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us. July 16, 2020 Reflection – Our Father…

Our Father… (c) Mary TV   July 16, 2020 Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Dear Family of Mary! As tensions seem to be rising in our country, the USA, I have been having a difficult time maintaining my peace and hope. The Coronavirus may have changed the way we live, at least for a time, but there are other things that are changing which could have very bad consequences for us. Violence is escalating, rhetoric is growing more divisive, and tensions are high. So, a couple of days ago, I was having a very hard time calming down and opening my heart to prayer. I remember being so sad, so worried, that I couldn’t even begin the Rosary. But then all of a sudden, I felt a deep calm come over me. I then asked myself, what was it I really wanted? If I could change the world right now, what would I choose it to be. And immediately I began to pray the Our Father, very quietly and slowly, phrase by phrase. Our Father…. Who art in Heaven…. Hallowed be Thy name…. I realized as I prayed that the words of the Our Father described perfectly exactly what I would want if I could change the world. I realized that if the Our Father became my reality, I would be the most blessed of all people. The world would be a wonderful place to live. And all our troubles would be solved! Think about it!! Our Father… (To live with God as my Father, and God as my neighbor’s father, and God as Father of every person on earth, would make us one family. We would all be bonded as siblings. There would be a family bond throughout the world!! And we would have the best, most perfect Father ever!) Who art in Heaven… (Our Father is in Heaven. He lives in eternal happiness and joy. And Heaven is going to be my home one day, if I choose God as my all in all. There is a Heaven. It is real. More real than earth. More substantial and beautiful than all the worlds combined. Wow) Hallowed be Thy Name… (Oh how I wish we all would hallow God’s Name. Synonyms for Hallowed are: holy, sacred, consecrated, sanctified, blessed, blest. revered, reverenced, venerated, honored, sacrosanct, worshipped, divine, inviolable. If only all of us on earth would hallow God’s name, showing such reverence and awe for Him that we would all fall in love with Him and obey Him! What a world that would be.) Thy Kingdom come… (Oh if only God’s Kingdom would come! All our trouble would be over. All our hopes would be fulfilled. There would be peace for all. We need God’s Kingdom to come…) Thy will be done… (God’s will is life-giving and wholesome. God’s will is that we live with Him forever, in Heaven. And He wills that our lives on earth will make us resemble His Son in love and sacrifice, so that others will join Him in Heaven. God’s will is awesome!!) On earth as it is in Heaven… (If the Kingdom would come on earth it would be Heaven on earth!) Give us this day our daily bread… (If we lived trusting in God’s providence, we would have a deep peace. This practice of trusting our lives into God’s hands teaches us how to prepare for Heaven. It also helps us not to hoard or become self-absorbed. One day at a time, enough for me!) And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us… (Forgiveness is a most healing action for us. By forgiving others we free ourselves from all the bad things that have happened to us and move into the freedom of Christ. Jesus taught us how to forgive on the Cross. To forgive is to be free! And as we forgive others, God can then forgive us! For certainly we have sinned as well. It is beautiful!!) And lead us not into temptation… (The devil is the tempter. He spends every moment of every day whispering deceptive thoughts into our ears, hoping to snare us. He wants us to become like Him. So, we need God to protect us from the tempter by leading our thoughts away from temptation to hope and love. A life without temptation would be a peaceful life.) But deliver us from evil… (Yes, there is evil in our world. We cannot solve it. We can only be lifted out of it by grace. God can save us from evil, if we ask Him to do it. Once we have forgiven and repented from our sin, we can give ourselves completely to the Lord, who can deliver us from all evil.) Well, I went through the Our Father very slowly the next day. And each time I prayed a phrase of it, it sent me into a little ecstasy. I felt like I was floating on air. Everything I could wish for is contained in the Our Father. If it came to be, I would be the happiest person ever!! I also realized that praying the Our Father, phrase by phrase, was like a deliverance prayer. I felt freer and freer of the anxiety, fear and sadness that was trying to overwhelm me. Really it was a spiritual warfare prayer that worked. The Our Father answers all our needs! It is amazing! Our Lady said to us: April 02, 2014 “Dear children, with a motherly love I desire to help you with your life of prayer and penance to be a sincere attempt at drawing closer to my Son and His divine light – that you may know how to separate yourselves from sin. Every prayer, every Mass and every fasting is an attempt at drawing closer to my Son, a reminder of His glory and a refuge from sin – it is a way to a renewed union of the good Father and His children. Therefore, my dear children, with hearts open and full of love, cry out the name of the Heavenly Father that He may illuminate you with the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit you will become a spring of God’s love. All those who do not know my Son, all those thirsting for the love and peace of my Son, will drink from this spring. Thank you. Pray for your shepherds. I pray for them and I desire that they may always feel the blessing of my motherly hands and the support of my motherly heart.” “With Hearts open and full of love, cry out the name of the Heavenly Father that He may illuminate you with the Holy Spirit!” This is exactly what this prayer of the Our Father was doing for me. It was filling me with the Holy Spirit. Whenever I start feeling anxiety now, I dive into the prayer of the Our Father, slowly, deliberately saying each phrase, realizing that I am praying for the answer to all our troubles. And my heart rests in God. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan Mary TV 2020
