June 1, 2021 Reflection – “Leave sin and evil…”

Leave sin and evil… June 1, 2021 St. Justin Dear Family of Mary! “Leave sin and evil…” (May 25, 2021) Our Lady has tried to build into our lives the gift of repentance. In so many ways she has tried to help us root out sin from our lives. As long as we cling to our sins and failings, we will not advance on the road to holiness. But we need help. Fr. Slavko Barbaric wrote a lovely book “Pray with the Heart!” In it he actually prays with us for the graces we need. I want to share with you part of the evening prayer that Fr. Slavko composed, in which he so gently and lovingly helps us to recognize and root out the sins of the day and give them to Jesus. May this prayer be a help to us in leaving sin and evil behind. Pray with the Heart! by Fr. Slavko Barbaric Evening Prayer Father, the day has passed and the evening has come. I pray to You to send me Your Spirit that I may, in Your light, consciously spend these moments which I want to dedicate to You and to myself. Thank you for being ready to listen to me as Your child. Father, hush my heart as the heart of a child is hushed in its father’s arms. Hush my heart at the sunset of this day as a baby is hushed in its mother’ arms. As everything around me is falling into the darkness of the night, send me Your light which never passes. Appease my soul as a doe is appeased at a water spring and as the earth is appeased after a fruitful rain. Mary, so many times you hushed Jesus, your Son, as a child in your motherly arms and committed Him to the calm of the night. So I, too, ask you to be with me in these moments, that peace and tranquility may enter into my heart, that they may affect my soul and body. Mary, thank you for having called me to change my heart. You said: “Dear children! I would like to tell you today to start working on your hearts like you work in your fields. Work and change your hearts that a new spirit from God may settle down in them. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (April 25, 1985) (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be) Father, I have worked today and have become tired. Thank you for my having had a chance to make use of the gifts You gave me for my own good and for the good of others. Thank you that I have worked hard today too. And now I pray to You to give me grace to cultivate my heart, as I was ready to do other jobs during the day. Father, I pray to You that I may, at Mary’s intercession, redecorate and cultivate my heart, that it may change and become good and pure. Remove from it the dust of sin and evil. Let a new Spirit make its abode in me. Father, I admit that I have sinned today, too. At times selfishness and haughtiness took hold of me. I was angry and impatient. Others around me have sinned, too, uttering blasphemies, curses, lies and slanders. Father, all this has burdened my heart. So, cleanse and wash me. Cleanse my consciousness and subconsciousness that peace may settle down in me. Mary, thank you for your call to cleanse ourselves of sin: “Dear children! Today, too, I invite you to prepare your hearts for all the days when the Lord especially wants to cleanse you of all sins from your past. You, dear children, are not able to do it alone. That is why I am here to help you. Pray, dear children. Only in this way will you be able to recognize all the evil that is in you and to deliver it to the Lord in order that He may completely cleanse your hearts. So, dear children, pray without ceasing and prepare your hearts in penance and fasting. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (December 4, 1986) Mary, thank you for being here to help us to cleanse ourselves. O Mother, take me on your lap now. A mother makes little of how dirty and soiled her child is, she rather helps it to be clean and nice. Do so with me now. Let the Lord, at your intercession, take the burdens from my heart. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be…) From Fr. Slavko Barbaric. Pray with the Heart. Information Center, Mir Medjugorje. P26-28) May we turn to the Lord, in this beautiful and gentle manor, and allow Him to cleanse our hearts each night. What a beautiful way to leave sin and evil!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! May 31, 2021 Reflection – God…out of love has sent me to you!

God…out of love has sent me to you! (Our Lady appearing to Mirjana at the Blue Cross! What joy!) May 31, 2021 The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin MaryDear Family of Mary! “Dear children! Today I am looking at you and calling: return to God because He is love and out of love has sent me to you to lead you on the way of conversion…(May 25, 2021) “God… out of love has sent me to you!” God has sent Our Lady to visit us. She comes every day to Medjugorje to be with us, to comfort us, to teach us, to admonish us, to guide us, and to bless us. She is with us to help us stay strong in God in this difficult moment in salvation history. Our visitation is very similar to the first visitation that Mary made, when God sent her to visit Elizabeth, her cousin: And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechari’ah and greeted Elizabeth. (Luke 1:36-40) At the moment Mary heard about Elizabeth through the Angel Gabriel, she knew that God wanted her to go to her. God was sending her!! Our Lady went in haste to visit Elizabeth, her cousin, to share her good news and to encourage her in her pregnancy. What joy it was for Elizabeth to greet Our Lady, and the child she was carrying!! When Mary comes to visit, everything changes for the better! Here is the story of that first visitation: And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:41-45) What an explosion of joy! What a moment of prophecy! Elizabeth was shown the salvation that had come through Mary’s yes – Jesus’ Incarnation! She was given that understanding by the Holy Spirit! This was an explosion of grace!! And immediately, Mary sang her incredible song of Thanksgiving, the Magnificat! Her heart could open up to Elizabeth, because Elizabeth now understood what God was doing! Mary was not alone with this miracle but had support from Elizabeth, even as she was a support to Elizabeth!! Isn’t God amazing! Here is Mary’s incredible song of thanksgiving to God, which we sing every day in Evening Prayer: And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts, he has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever.” And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her home.(Luke 1:46-56) Let’s sing this song with Our Lady today, because God is still doing all these things in our day! Our Lady is visiting us to help us to see His salvation in our day! He is our Savior, and we are his beloved children. We can only rejoice! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan Mary TV 2021

May 28, 2021 Reflection – Today I am looking at you and calling…

Today I am looking at you and calling… May 28, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! Today I am looking at you and calling: return to God because He is love and out of love has sent me to you to lead you on the way of conversion…(May 25, 2021) Conversion is really the hallmark grace of Medjugorje. Over these 40 years, so many hearts have been awakened to the presence of God, the Truth of His love for us, and a desire for heaven. Conversion is often a quiet event, known only to the one receiving the grace, so we don’t have a ticker count. But there are many testimonies of conversion graces that have been recorded. (Fruit of Medjugorje videos on the Mary TV contain many conversion stories.) But even now, three days ago, Our Lady is still calling all of us to conversion! How can this be? Well, we all know. The original grace of conversion may be very strong, and happen in an instant. But a life of conversion is a daily decision. Life in this poor world of ours makes it difficult to maintain our focus on the Lord. We need to pray for our daily conversion and go to confession often to root out any tendencies to sin and Godlessness. It is a daily struggle. I have collected a few of Our Lady’s words about conversion, upon which we might reflect. She is the best spiritual guide!! I may continue this for a couple of days, since she has said so many wonderful things about conversion!! Our Lady speaks of conversion: Spring 1983 “Hasten your conversion. Do not await the sign, which has been announced, for those who do not believe. It will be too late. You who believe, be converted and deepen your faith.” February 13, 1986 “Dear children! This Lent is a special incentive for you to change. Start from this moment. Turn off the television and renounce various things that are of no value. Dear children, I am calling you individually to conversion. This season is for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” February 25, 1987 “Dear children! Today I want to wrap you all in my mantle and lead you all along the way of conversion. Dear children, I beseech you, surrender to the Lord your entire past, all the evil that has accumulated in your hearts. I want each one of you to be happy, but in sin nobody can be happy. Therefore, dear children, pray, and in prayer you shall realize a new way of joy. Joy will manifest in your hearts and thus you shall be joyful witnesses of that which I and My Son want from each one of you. I am blessing you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” June 24, 1987 “Dear children! I want to lead you on the road to conversion. I desire that you convert the world and that your life be a conversion for others. Do not fall into infidelity. Let each one of you be completely submitted to my will and to the will of God. Beginning this day, I give you special graces, and in particular the gift of conversion. Let each one of you take home my blessing, and motivate the others to a real conversion.” January 25, 1988 “Dear children! Today again I am calling you to complete conversion, which is difficult for those who have not chosen God. God can give you everything that you seek from Him. But you seek God only when sicknesses, problems and difficulties come to you and you think that God is far from you and is not listening and does not hear your prayers. No, dear children, that is not the truth. When you are far from God, you cannot receive graces because you do not seek them with a firm faith. Day by day, I am praying for you, and I want to draw you ever more near to God, but I cannot if you don’t want it. Therefore, dear children put your life in God’s hands. I bless you all. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Mother lead us on the way of Conversion! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan Mary TV 2021

May 27, 2021 Reflection – Today I am looking at you…

Today I am looking at you… May 27, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Here is the May 25, 2021 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace: “Dear children! Today I am looking at you and calling: return to God because He is love and out of love has sent me to you to lead you on the way of conversion. Leave sin and evil, decide for holiness and joy will begin to reign; and you will be my extended hands in this lost world. I desire that you be prayer and hope to those who have not come to know the God of love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (May 25, 2021) I am very thankful for this message. Our Lady is with us, and she is aware of each one of us. She longs to accompany each one of us in our walk towards eternal life. In this message she tells us: “Today I am looking at you…” This is not a vague greeting about some abstract relationship that Our Lady has with us. She is not far away, peering down on humanity with heavenly binoculars, and making judgements about us. I believe she means what she says. She is looking at us, each one of us, from up close. She is gazing at us as we are right now, today. And her gaze is a gaze of love. Our Lady looks at us with the eyes of a mother. She looks at each one of us individually. We are each her beloved child. I am her child. You are her child. She loves us, each one, with that powerful, patient, concerned, efficacious and wise love that only a mother has! She doesn’t miss a thing! That’s motherhood! Our Lady has been looking at us, I believe, since we were conceived. Jesus gave her the job of being our Mother from the Cross. And you know that she would never shirk that job. She has watched us and loved us and prayed for us and interceded for us throughout our entire lives. But at this time, the Father has allowed her to actually reveal herself to us in her apparitions in Medjugorje, so that we will experience her presence in a more profound way, and allow her to “mother” us. The Father has revealed Mother Mary to us in Medjugorje because we desperately need to let her mother us!! And that is what she is doing! Mothering us! So when she tells us she is looking at us, and calling…we really need to listen. The Mother has something to say that will change our lives. Thank you, dearest Mother, for looking at us…for looking with your loving and wise eyes…for caring for each one of us so much that you would tirelessly come back to earth for now almost 40 years, so that we would know you are looking at each of us. And in that look, bringing us conversion, salvation, Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit! In your look, we discover God! Thank you dearest Mother! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! May 25, 2021 Reflection – As we wait for another message!

As we wait for another message! May 25, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Later today, Our Lady will give us a new message through the visionary, Marija! Each month, we realize how blessed we are to have Our Lady with us in this very special way. She comes each day to us, with her love and prayer. And she speaks to us Words from Heaven, the words given to her by God for us. Never should we take her words for granted. Never should we ignore what she comes to tell us! These messages are given to us for our blessing, our healing, and our transformation into the Children of God! And so, as we wait in anticipation for the next message, let’s revisit the message from April 25, 2021! Let’s allow Our Lady’s words to penetrate us anew, with the graces of the Holy Spirit meant for us in this time: “Dear children! Today I am calling you to witness your faith in the colors of spring. May this be a faith of hope and courage. May your faith, little children, not waver in any situation, not even in this time of trial. Go courageously with the risen Christ towards Heaven, which is your goal. I am accompanying you on this way of holiness and am placing all of you in my Immaculate Heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (April 25, 2021) Thank you, dearest Mother, for calling us, visiting us, teaching us, and blessing us as we travel the road to heaven. You are the very best of mothers!! Our heavenly Mother! We love you!!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

May 24, 2021 Reflection – Mary, Mother of the Church!

Fr. A giving the homily on the Vigil of Pentecost! May 24, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Today we celebrate a new feast dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church! This feast is celebrated on the day after Pentecost! It makes perfect sense. Our Lady was with the Apostles for the 9 days before the coming of the Holy Spirit. She was teaching them how to pray! She was mothering them into the Coming of the Holy Spirit!! And we can depend on Our Lady to continue her mothering of the Church in our day. Indeed, she continues it from Medjugorje, where she has come to prepare us for the new times! I have a special gift for you all today. It is the transcript of the Homily given at the Evening International Mass in Medjugorje for Saturday, May 22, 2021, the Vigil of Pentecost! This homily is a reality check for all of us. Given by a priest from Citluk, Fr. Azinimov (not sure of the spelling), this homily will knock your socks off!! It is long, but bear with me, it is worth the read. Better yet, listen to it at this link: https://marytv.tv/evening-international-mass-2/?smid=ima31dsYQt4&slid=KdArKwrWsDO A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to John On the last day and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood there and cried out, “If any man is thirsty, let him come to me. Let the man come and drink who believes in me.” As scripture says, from His breath shall flow fountains of Living Water. He was speaking of the Spirit which those who believed in Him were to receive; for there was no Spirit as yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified. The Gospel of the Lord Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ! HOMILY Brothers and Sisters, Dear Faithful, Dear Pilgrims, This evening, Jesus is clearly telling us, “Whoever is thirsty may come to Me.” And the question arises, Who is not thirsty? O Jesus, I can tell you on behalf of us all: We are all thirsty! And without You, we really die. Although we are drinking water, we die; because we don’t have Your Spirit, Your Living Water. Therefore, let us pray this evening, indeed, truly, for the power of the Holy Spirit. When Pope John Paul II came to Poland – I like always to start with him – he came on a large square in the Republic; over 1,000,000 Polish people gathered there; cameras were transmitting it; Soviet Union watching it. And then, there was hopelessness, anxiety in Poland, people were dying in anxiety. And John Paul II started to speak before that crowd. And Polish people expected that he was going to be the savior, that the message of salvation would come from him. He had papers in his hands, reading the sermon, but then he stopped. And he said to his people, “Close your eyes.” They closed their eyes – over 1,000,000 of them! And then Pope said, “Come, Holy Spirit. Come, Holy Spirit, and renew the face of the earth!” I would like you all to close your eyes now. Close your eyes. We, too, are going to say today, as the Pope said that day, “Come, Holy Spirit!” What else can we pray this evening, but that prayer? Come, Holy Spirit, and renew the face of the earth! Renew our lives! Renew our lives – all of us who are distressed. We are anxious, always unsatisfied; never have enough of what we think we should have. Come, Holy Spirit, and renew us. Renew your Church! We don’t have our own strength; our whole strength comes from the Holy Spirit. And Holy Spirit came! This evening the wind is blowing! You will say, “It is the wind.” But it is the Holy Spirit that comes in the form of the wind. He is the breeze; Holy Spirit is the breeze of your Life. And when the Soviet Union witnessed that, they laughed, ridiculing the Pope. “What is he saying? What do we have from that prayer, ‘Come, Holy Spirit’?” (Poland had no weapons, and the Soviet Union was full of army and tanks, armored vehicles.) And after the transmission of that mass, “Soviet Union will live for years,” they said to themselves, “Nothing will ruin it, because the Pope did not call to revolution. The people are not going to arm themselves.” People didn’t take weapons, but they took the Rosary in their hands. The Rosary saved the world! Our Lady – of Lourdes, Fatima, Medjugorje – says, “Through that power, the world will be saved! Through prayer!” The world is already saved through Jesus Christ, through His Passion; but you can save it so that it is not destroyed, through prayer, through the Holy Spirit. How are you going to have the Holy Spirit unless you pray? And the power of the Holy Spirit, woke the Polish people up, and Communism declined. We are in the same time of hopelessness and anxiety as once they were. Nobody is happy. People have everything, but they are not happy. People are anxious. We are all thirsty, we hunger. We are competing. And there is no happiness, there is no joy. And we need the power of the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit to penetrate us. Unless I believe through the Holy Spirit, my faith is in vain. We, priests, here, if we don’t have the Holy Spirit, we are only servants. If you sit here and you have no the Holy Spirit, you are just passing part of the Church. The Church has no use of you. You, while building the Church, just like us priests:  only through the power of the Holy Spirit. The answer to the time in which we live is only one: the Holy Spirit can change the face of the earth. We, Christians, often are anxious and say, “It is over.” But look at the history of the Church. The first three or four centuries, saints like: St. Augustine, Athanasius, Monica, Peter. So, “God, did you leave any saints for the Last Times?” Saints are there in the first three, four centuries of the Church. But today: Mother Teresa, John Paul II, John XXIII, Little Teresa… but that is only a handful. “O God, what have you left to us in our times? Who will guide us?” And then, the Holy Spirit gives us answer: “The Last Time is the Time of the Holy Spirit and Mary.” Church isn’t going to win through saints today. The Church doesn’t need, that much, saints, but, the Power of the Holy Spirit. Like San Giovanni Rotondo, everybody plugged in to Padre Pio. “Oh, we are doing well, we have Padre Pio.” These times are over! God wants EACH ONE of us to be a Prophet! EACH ONE of us to live in the Holy Spirit: to Love, to Live! The time has come for Personal Christianity: YOU have to pray. Don’t expect somebody else to pray for you. People say, “Father, please offer mass for me.” Yes, but you have to come to mass! You have to be on your knees; with your body, be present. You go on a pilgrimage, “Oh, Father, please, will you remember me?” Well, you, too, make a step out of your house and love God. Don’t pass it over onto others. God wants EACH ONE of us to be a Saint; not just a few individuals. All Nations, All Peoples to be Saints. Now, Father Slavko was in Medjugorje. He was praying on Apparition Hill, on Cross Mountain. He prayed Adoration. When he died, people wondered, “What will happen now?” But we are all called to be witnesses. Every priest should go to Apparition Hill, to Cross Mountain – one who loves Mary. You who live here, get up early in the morning and go up Podbrdo and Cross Mountain. You have to bear witness with your life. That is what God is expecting of you: to be the witness, to fall in love with Eucharist. How much have we longed for a mass? For the church not to be closed? Churches are opened. There is no greater strength than the power of the Holy Eucharist. At the Last Supper, Jesus said to the Apostles, “I will be handed over.” Their community was falling apart. They were dispersed. Judas betrayed him; hanged himself. Peter, three times denied him. They were without hope. And what did Jesus tell them? “When there is no future, when you are dispersed…” what will unite you? …the Economy? Oh no. …your fishing nets? No. “Do this, in memory of me,” Jesus told them. That will wake you up! That is your future: The Eucharist. “Peter,” Jesus says to him, “I will pray for you, because you are without Faith. But, when I give you Faith, when you come to your senses, wake your brothers up! Celebrate Holy Mass; celebrate the Eucharist. That is your Hope!” When people say, “Father, we don’t have hope.” But this is your Hope! This Piece of Bread and a Drop of Jesus’ Blood – that is the future of the world! It is said here in the readings, “Who sees hope?” That is not hope. We believe this is Jesus. You have to believe that Host – the Consecrated Host – is the Body of Christ, and this Wine is His Precious Blood. It will not happen in a visible way that you can see it. You can just see it with Faith. Politics will not save us. We have Programs; we have Projects. Well, that will not save me. If you draw my future and assure me a better existence; that is not hope. Hope cannot be drawn. Hope cannot be put in Programs; but in God. This is why God has not abandoned the world: God loves us all! And God is sending the power and the force of the Holy Spirit so that we may ALL be transformed. The Disciples say, “Jesus, are you the one we are waiting for? Or are we to wait for somebody else. Tell us, are you the one?” Look at this world. We would like to know. Euthanasia. Abortion. I said last time, Covid, Covid is here, abortions are done nevertheless; what is worse, even more. Oh, Jesus! You have come into the worst time haven’t you? Have you come really when all this evil is done? Jews say, “Jesus didn’t come. We do not believe in Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Another Messiah will come. When he comes, then we shall believe. Because, your Jesus of Nazareth, for 2,000 years, it has been seen, that He is a false prophet: nothing is changed.” Christians say, “What am I doing in the Church? In the Western Civilization, people are leaving the Church in great numbers. And the world might think that maybe Jesus did not come into this world. So, we ask you, Jesus, this evening, have you really come into this world? Mary, have you really appeared here? Because what change do we have here? A few houses built, but no change.” We don’t see, through you, somebody is appearing here. We measure God’s coming with our own evil. Because I am doing evil, God has not come. I am doing evil, so Our Lady is not appearing. My evil is not the measure of God’s coming. God has truly come. God has come into this world. But the writer C.S. Lewis said, “God will not do an invasion as the world is doing.” The world is invading our lives, controlling us. They are really, really belittling our human dignity. God does not do that. “I am not going to invade,” God says, “But I will come at the end of Time.  At the End of History, I will come in power and force. It is said in Revelation, ‘…and I will show my real face.’ I will show what is the Kingdom of God, and what is the Power.”  God has created this world, and He will overtake it.  The last Judgment Day, He will invade; and it will be horrifying for many. Why is not God doing it now? That (pointing at the Eucharist in the Tabernacle), is His invasion at this time; and there is nothing better than Holy Eucharist! God does not change the way He Loves You. The Eucharist has its value for the last 2,000 years.  God will not change it. The Eucharist is that Quiet Love you are to believe in. When marriage is in crisis, they say, “He doesn’t love me as he used to.” So, what do you do? “Well, I will take my wife, now, on holiday. I will buy her something.” He is changing his attitude in order to refresh their love. But God does not act that way. He is God! And He says, “For 2,000 years,” He is telling us, “until I come in my Final Glory I will Love you always in the same way:  through the Eucharist. I cannot give you better than the Eucharist.” Eucharist! Our Lady says, here, “I cannot give you better Love than to bring you to My Son Jesus and to give you the Rosary.” Many expected theological tracts, the depths. It is not the Blessed Mother because this message is not deep; it’s far too simple. It’s so simple that even a child can understand it. Well, Our Lady will not change her way of speaking. For 40 years, she has been with us; it is the same way. She speaks in the same way. God loves in the same way. “Pray. Participate in Holy Mass. Go for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.” The message of the Blessed Mother perseveres. There is no oscillation. In the midst of the crisis with Covid, people ask, “What does Mary say?” If you read the last messages, it is as if she was not aware of our anxieties. And she never mentioned one word; because, that disease is nothing. It exists, but it is not the key. Jesus is the key! Our Lady speaks of Her Son; because without Him, there is nothing: He is our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. This is why the Holy Spirit has to come: for us to wake up. To understand that Jesus is already giving us His Love, but we are blind to it. That is the awakening. Until the Holy Spirit descended upon them, the Apostles were closed. They saw Jesus. The Risen Christ says to them, “Peace be with you,” but nevertheless, they remained closed. Apostles were not transformed by seeing the Risen Christ. St. Thomas put his finger into His Wounds, “My God, My Everything!” But Thomas remained the same; there was no change. We can say the same, “Oh, Medjugorje was wonderful. I prayed.  I went for confession. Our Lady is here. But there is no change in me. I keep on coming here, Father.”     “Why do you keep on coming?” “To confess.”     “And has this place changed you?” “Yes, while I’m here. But as soon as I return there where I live, anxiety overwhelms me. I am the same.”     “Holy Spirit has not overtaken you.” That is the change that we all need: for the Holy Spirit to overtake us.  That the Apparition Hill – Podbrdo, the Cross Mountain, would never be empty without people. Like the early days of Apparitions – shoulder-to-shoulder, knee-to-knee – there would be crowds of people praying. All the praying we do, it will still not be all; we would like more. And now, people say, “Well, one hour of Holy Mass, that’s enough.” And the other one who is praying with the Holy Spirit remains in prayer for four hours and would still continue. Look at this place: This place is made for prayer. Walking through the fields to Apparition Hill, Cross Mountain, and Church in the center. Everything here reminds us of prayer. But that prayer, you have to live in your household as well. The Church is in need of the Holy Spirit. We don’t accept the Holy Spirit. I don’t know about my brothers, priests, but I can say for myself, it’s easier to work in the office and give documents than to bear witness for the Risen Christ. It is easier to be a clerk that has time also for his recreation than to bear witness at all times and every place. Therefore, I will finish with the words of prayer, “Come, Holy Spirit, and renew the face of the earth!” We know, O Lord, that you are already present in our lives. As Padre Pio says, “Jesus already died for you. Do not expect Jesus to go on the Cross again, because He never left the Cross. He is already on it.” Come, Holy Spirit, help us to recognize with our own eyes, that Crucified Love. May we recognize Mother’s presence here for the last 40 years. May we learn how to surrender our lives only to You, Lord Jesus Christ, and believe in You completely, trusting in You.  Because, there is no other name in Heaven and Earth through which we can be saved, but through the Power of the Holy Spirit, and the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. https://marytv.tv/evening-international-mass-2/?smid=ima31dsYQt4&slid=KdArKwrWsDO In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

May 23, 2021 Reflection – Pentecost Sunday!

Come Holy Spirit! May 23, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! This is the Feast of Pentecost!! We pray that the whole Church will receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit today. And especially, we ask that the Mary TV Family will be flooded with the Grace of the Holy Spirit! Our Lady says to us: Friday, October 21, 1983 “The important thing is to pray to the Holy Spirit, so that He may descend on you. When one has Him, one has everything.” At Holy Mass today, we will hear this wonderful Sequence: Veni, Sancte Spiritus. It is most powerful in Latin. But we can pray it in English as the culmination of our novena. Vene Sancte Spiritus Come, Holy Spirit, come! and from Your celestial home Shed a ray of light divine! Come, Father of the poor! Come, Source of all our store! Come within our bosoms shine. You, of comforters the best; You, the soul’s most welcome guest; Sweet refreshment here below; In our labor, rest most sweet: Grateful coolness in the heat; solace in the midst of woe. O most blessed Light divine, Shine within these hearts of yours, And our inmost being fill! Where you are not, we have naught, Nothing good in deed or thought, Nothing free from taint of ill. Heal our wounds, our strength renew; On our dryness pour your dew; Wash the stains of guilt away. Bend the stubborn heart and will; Melt the frozen, warm the chill; Guide the steps that go astray. On the faithful, who adore And confess you, evermore In your sevenfold gift descend: Give them virtue’s sure reward: Give them your salvation, Lord: Give them joys that never end. Amen. Alleluia. Blessed Pentecost!!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

May 22, 2021 Reflection -Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 9

Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 9 May 22, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 9 Our Lady prays to the Holy Spirit for us: June 25, 2002 “Dear children! Today I pray for you and with you that the Holy Spirit may help you and increase your faith, so that you may accept even more the messages that I am giving you here in this holy place. Little children, comprehend that this is a time of grace for each of you; and with me, little children, you are secure. I desire to lead you all on the way of holiness. Live my messages and put into life every word that I am giving you. May they be precious to you because they come from Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In this message, Our Lady tells us she is praying for us and with us that the Holy Spirit may help us and increase our faith, so that we will be able to accept even more the messages she is giving us in Medjugorje, this holy place!! She is asking her great Spouse, the Holy Spirit, to anoint us, open our minds and increase our faith, so we can understand what she is saying to us in her messages. She needs His help and so do we!! Certainly Our Lady receives these messages from the Father and Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. She then gives them to us through her visionaries. But the process isn’t finished until we receive the messages with open hearts, anointed and ready to receive them in the power of the Holy Spirit!! Only with the help of the Holy Spirit can we accept the messages more deeply. Our Lady, the Queen of Peace, has been with us for nearly 40 years, giving us messages from her heart, messages of faith, hope, love, peace, joy, truth, correction and consolation. She has faithfully spoken to us through her visionaries, desiring that we become part of the great plan for the world that God has been enacting through her. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us and increase our faith, so that we can accept and live Our Lady’s messages more deeply than ever before in this time of grace. The world needs Our Lady of Medjugorje, and we are her messengers, those who live her messages with the heart, who listen to the Holy Spirit and do that which He inspires us to do! The Paraclete, the Fount of Love (A prayer by St. John Henry Newman) My God, I adore You, as the Third Person of the Ever-Blessed Trinity, under the name and designation of Love. You are that Living Love, wherewith the Father and the Son love each other. And You are the Author of supernatural love in our hearts. “Fons vivus, ignis, charitas.” (Fount of life, fire and love) As a fire You came down from heaven on the day of Pentecost; and as a fire You burn away the dross of sin and vanity in the heart and light up the pure flame of devotion and affection. It is You who unite heaven and earth by showing to us the glory and beauty of the Divine Nature, and making us love what is in Itself so winning and transporting. I adore You, O uncreated and everlasting Fire, by which our souls live, by which alone they are made fit for heaven. Amen Come Holy Spirit Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest, and in our souls take up Thy rest; come with Thy grace and heavenly aid to fill the hearts which Thou hast made. O Comforter, to Thee we cry, O heavenly gift of God Most High, O Fount of Life and Fire of Love, and Sweet Anointing from above. Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known; Thou, finger of God’s hand we own; Thou, promise of the Father, Thou Who dost the tongue with power imbue. Kindle our senses from above, and make our hearts o’erflow with love; with patience firm and virtue high the weakness of our flesh supply. Far from us drive the foe we dread, and grant us Thy peace instead; so shall we not, with Thee for guide, turn from the path of life aside. Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow the Father and the Son to know; and Thee, through endless times confessed, of both the eternal Spirit blest. Now to the Father and the Son, Who rose from death, be glory given, with Thou, O Holy Comforter, henceforth by all in earth and heaven. Amen In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021
