March 29, 2021 Reflection – Monday of Holy Week

Monday of Holy Week   March 29, 2021 Monday of Holy Week Dear Family of Mary! March 25, 2021 “Dear children! Also, today I am with you to tell you: Little children, [he] who prays does not fear the future and does not lose hope. You are chosen to carry joy and peace, because you are mine. I have come here with the name ‘Queen of Peace’ because the devil wants peacelessness and war, he wants to fill your heart with fear of the future – but the future is God’s. That is why, be humble and pray, and surrender everything into the hands of the Most High Who created you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady poured heavenly light into our souls through this message.  From the moment I first heard it, I felt the power of the Holy Spirit resting in my soul, and my heart was strengthened with hope.  Every time I am tempted to fear or worry about the future now, I turn to this message and my fear and worry dissolve.  Thank you, dearest Mother, for speaking the truth to us in such a powerful way. In this serious and powerful week, Holy Week 2021, we must spend our energies focused on Jesus.  Jesus is everything for us this week.  We don’t want to miss a moment with Him.  So my reflections will be short.  Today let’s remember what Mary did for Jesus during dinner at her house: “Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil made from genuine aromatic nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair; the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.” (John 12:3) Can we kneel down at Jesus’ feet, and break open our hearts to pour out upon His feet the oil of our love, of our gratitude, of our joy at being forgiven, of our total dedication to Him who has first loved us? Jesus, allow us to show you our love as we kneel at your feet today. In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! March 25, 2021 Reflection – The Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord!

The Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord!   March 25, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (Lk 1:38) Today we remember and give thanks to God for the moment when the Blessed Virgin Mary said “yes” to the request of God the Father, through the Angel Gabriel, to become the Mother of His Son! There are not enough words in the whole world to describe the immensity of that “yes”! The best prayer I can think of to pray is the Angelus. So here it is!! The Angelus: The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary.. Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail Mary… And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us. Hail Mary… Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen. And our Novena prayer: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You, through whom the universe was created, began your earthly course, in the womb of a humble and chaste Virgin. At the annunciation of this miracle, Mary responded in faith: “Let it be done to me according to your word.” May we who are made new creatures by your grace, respond with such faith, when you call us to your service. Amen (written by David Bennett) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021 PS. I will send out the message for March 25, 2021 as soon as possible today…

March 24, 2021 Reflection – “Let it be to me according to your word.”

March 24, 2021 Novena for the Annunciation Day 9 Dear Family of Mary! And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (Lk 1:38) With these words, human history turned from its trajectory of sin and death to a trajectory of hope for eternal life!  With these words Our Lady conceived in her womb the Son of God.  With these words, The Holy Spirit came upon her, and the power of the Most High overshadowed her.  With these words, Jesus, God, the Second Person of the Trinity, united His Divine Nature to a human nature, becoming both Man and God, one Person with two natures.  With these words, our salvation for eternal life was made possible.  The heavens must have stopped in total silence and awe.  For sure nature paused. Our Lady was only a human, with no power to enact such a deed.  But she was a sinless human, whose ascent to the Father’s offer was necessary!  God needed Mary to say “yes”.  He needed her to freely accept being the human Mother of His Son.  She was uniquely able to freely say “yes” because she was free of sin.  She could say “yes” with no strings attached!!  And she did! Our Lady says to us: July 2, 2010 “Dear children; my motherly call, which I direct to you today, is a call of truth and life. My Son, who is life, loves you and knows you in truth. To come to know and to love yourself, you must come to know my Son; to come to know and to love others, you must see my Son in them. Therefore, my children, pray, pray, that you may comprehend and surrender with a spirit that is free, be completely transformed and, in this way, may have the Kingdom of Heaven in your heart on earth. Thank you! Our Lady calls us to love her Son, to accept Him in our lives because He is the way to life, the way to truth, the way to salvation.  She wants us to have “a spirit that is free…” A spirit that is free is a spirit that is not attached to sin.  Like Mary, if we are free of sin, we can freely choose Jesus and become His disciples, His brothers, and sisters.  Our Lady’s “yes” at the Annunciation is the greatest human demonstration of that freedom from sin, that freedom to choose God.  May she help us to grow freer and freer in our spirits, free to choose God! Tomorrow we will contemplate this great moment, the moment when our own lives were given a new horizon because of Jesus. Let us pray: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. March 23, 2021 Reflection – “For nothing is impossible for God!”

For with God nothing is impossible! March 23, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Day Eight of our Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord: “And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Lk 1:36-37) The Father was not finished with His discussion with Mary. She had asked how could it be, that she would conceive God’s Son, and the Lord through the Angel Gabriel had proclaimed the wonderful power of the Holy Spirit to her! But God was not finished with His proofs! To give her more confidence, He told her another wonder that He was enacting: that her cousin Elizabeth in her old age would also conceive a son! Wonder of wonders!! She was old and beyond her years for bearing children. And yet, God was giving her a son. This was big news for Mary. Indeed it was not the first time that the Lord had given a child to a woman beyond her childbearing years. Sarah, Abraham’s wife, in her old age conceived a child, Isaac, at the word of the Lord given through an angel. Isaac was the one through whom the promise to Abraham would be fulfilled, as the nation of Israel would be established through Isaac and his son, Jacob. Well the Lord poured forth His confirmation to Mary, so that she was able to make her decision. This was great news for Mary. And the Angel Gabriel gave us all those blessed words that we live by: “For with God nothing will be impossible.” We can sing this to ourselves all day long! It is the truth! And it is our hope! “For with God nothing will be impossible!!! Our Lady told us: November 8, 1984 “Dear children! You are not conscious of the messages which God is sending you through me. He is giving you great graces and you do not comprehend them. Pray to the Holy Spirit for enlightenment. If you only knew how great are the graces God is granting you, you would be praying without ceasing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The graces God is giving us are so great we will never comprehend them all!! Nothing is impossible for God! And we are the recipients of His power and love! We should be filled with joy and wonder, as was Our Lady at the Annunciation! Mother, teach us that nothing is impossible for God! Let us pray: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. March 22, 2021 Reflection – The Holy Spirit will come upon you!

The Holy Spirit will come upon you! March 22, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Day Seven of our Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord: “And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.” (Lk 1:35) The Father spoke again directly to Our Lady, through the Angel Gabriel with this most important and incredible answer to her question. He was so happy to answer her question. The Father was ready to explain everything to Mary, because she was asking from a pure desire only to serve Him. I love this conversation!! “The Holy Spirit will come upon you…” This outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Mary was the most powerful and incredible outpouring of the Holy Spirit ever given. The Holy Spirit was coming to enact the Incarnation of God Himself, in the womb of Mary!! “And the power of the Most High will overshadow you…” This image is very moving. The power of the most High will overshadow you. I did a search about the word “overshadow” and found that from the Greek (Episkiazo) it can mean to come over someone, or even to cover someone. And that word is used also in Genesis 2:21-22, where it says, “So the Lord God caused a deep sleep ‘to fall upon the man’ (to cover or overshadow), and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; and the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. ” There is deep significance here! When God created woman (Eve) out of man (Adam), He overshadowed the man, and in that creative overshadowing He withdrew the rib and fashioned the woman! In Luke 1:35, the Angel Gabriel tells Mary that the power of the Most High will overshadow her! God’s creative power would enact the Incarnation of The Lord in the womb of Mary!!! “…therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God!” Wow, wow, wow!! The Father told Our Lady exactly what would happen. She was given all the information she would need. And thankfully, we are given that information too, so we can worship Jesus with all our hearts as our Lord and God!! Our Lady wants us to be open to the “overshadowing” of the Holy Spirit just as she was. She wants us to desire the Holy Spirit and to open our hearts to His coming, because He brings everything good to us. She told us to allow God’s blessings to fall upon us in this message: September 2, 2005 “Dear children, I, as a mother come to and am showing you how much your God, your Father loves you. And you? Where are you, my children? What takes the first place in your hearts? Why do you not put my Son in the first place? My Children, allow God’s blessings to fall upon you (could this be the same word, overshadow?). Let God’s peace overcome you. Peace, that my Son gives, only He.” Let’s allow God to cover us with His Presence and give us all the blessings He has for us today, in preparation for the Annunciation on Thursday!!! Mother, teach us how to receive the Holy Spirit! Let us pray: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

March 21, 2021 Reflection – How shall this be??

How shall this be??? March 21, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Day Six of our Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord: “And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I have no husband?” Lk 1:34) Before Our Lady would answer Gabriel, even after his prophecy of the Annunciation which was filled with such incredible and mind-blowing revelations, she still asked another question! Mary was so wise, so firmly grounded in her relationship with God, that she knew she could ask for more information. And her question was practical and human. “How shall this (conception) be, since I have no husband?” Mary and Joseph had not yet “come together”. They still lived with their families, apart. The wedding had not taken place. How could this be? I love that God wanted to talk things out with Mary, and that He also wants talk things out with us. Our relationship with Him is real and tangible. He wants to lead us along with our reason involved. He respects us. Mary knew this. She wasn’t afraid, but she needed more information! Our Lady has taught us to talk to God with the same candor and trust she showed us in this scripture. Here is a message in which she encourages us to talk to God just as she did during the Annunciation: Saturday, October 20, 1984 “When you pray, you must feel more. Prayer is a conversation with God. To pray means to listen to God. Prayer is useful for you because after prayer everything is clear. Prayer makes one know happiness. Prayer can teach you how to cry. Prayer can teach how to blossom. Prayer is not a joke. Prayer is a dialogue with God.” Prayer is a conversation with God!!! May we learn to talk to the Lord as our loving Father, our loving Brother, and the precious Holy Spirit. Prayer is a dialogue with God!! Mother, teach us dialogue with our Lord, to speak to God as our loving Father. He wants to converse with us! Let us pray: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

March 20, 2021 Reflection – You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son!

And behold you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son… March 20, 2021 Dear Family of Mary! Day Five of our Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord: “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Lk: 31-33) This incredible prophecy of the conception of Jesus, the King of all, who would be conceived in Mary’s womb at the moment she accepted this call to be his mother, this prophecy was the announcement of the Kingdom of God, established on earth. With this announcement, the plan of God was revealed to Mary. And, amazingly, it would hang in the balance, waiting for the answer of the little maiden of Nazareth. Yes or no? Our salvation hung in the balance. Yes or no? The world held it’s breath, waiting for Mary’s response… We know her answer, which we will consider tomorrow. But the fruit of that answer is expressed in the following message: December 25, 2006 “Dear children! Also today I bring you the newborn Jesus in my arms. He who is the King of Heaven and earth, He is your peace. Little children, no one can give you peace as He who is the King of Peace. Therefore, adore Him in your hearts, choose Him and you will have joy in Him. He will bless you with His blessing of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Mother, teach us to choose Jesus! Teach us to adore Him in our hearts. Teach us to listen for God’s call to us, like you did. Let us pray: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2021

March 19, 2021 Reflection – You have found favor with God!

You have found favor with God! March 19, 2021 Feast of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary!Dear Family of Mary! Day Four of our Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord: And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” (Lk 1:30 When Our Lady heard the Angel Gabriel address her with such an exalted and mind-blowing title, it troubled her. She considered it, but still was unsure. Fear of being misled? It is hard to imagine Our Lady fearful! But she was only about 14 years old! Still Gabriel was led by God to assure her. “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” Actually, Our Lady had never been out of favor with God, not from her conception!! What peace this assurance must have given Mary. She was still in that blessed “zone” of grace that the Father had surrounded her with all her life! Our Lady now wants to teach us to not be afraid. The same God who created her and blessed her beyond all people, is our Father as well. And He will lead us safely in grace, if we surrender to Him. Our Lady gave us this message: July 25, 1988 “Dear children! Today I am calling you to a complete surrender to God. Everything you do and everything you possess give over to God so that He can take control in your life as the King of all that you possess. That way, through me, God can lead you into the depths of the spiritual life. Little children, do not be afraid, because I am with you even if you think there is no way out and that satan is in control. I am bringing peace to you. I am your mother, the Queen of Peace. I am blessing you with the blessings of joy so that for you God may be everything in your life… Thank you for having responded to my call.” Mother, teach us to surrender everything to God, and through your intercession, to find ourselves in the hands of God, in peace and hope! Let us pray: Annunciation prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Word, You became Incarnate as man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen (written by David Bennett) And our final day, the Feast of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary! Dear St. Joseph, foster father of us all, we love you!  You so faithfully stayed by the side of Mary when she gave Jesus to the world the first time. Help us now in our turn to stay faithfully by her side in Medjugorje. Dear St. Joseph, you were always strong and resolute – in Bethlehem, in Egypt, and in Nazareth. You never wavered from the side of Mary. Help us to be strong and resolute and to never waver from her side. Dear St. Joseph, help us to be faithful to the call of Our Lady and to witness to her presence in these days. St. Joseph, pray for us!! Thank you, St. Joseph!!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
