March 16, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph! Day 7

Mother Mary and St. Joseph, Protect us!! (c)Mary TV/Anthony Zubac March 16, 2020Novena to St. Joseph, the Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Day 7 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 7 of our Novena to St. Joseph! As we draw near to St. Joseph’s feast day, March 19, it seems clear that we are in a very difficult time. The coronavirus is spreading through the world, and it is effectively stopping us in our tracks. There is no cure for this virus yet. So, we can only wait and see if we can escape it. We are vulnerable, and small before this little virus. But we have mighty advocates with the Lord. Both St. Joseph and Our Blessed Mother Mary are with us to help us. Our Lady is especially close to us in Medjugorje. But St. Joseph is always at her side. And so, we have recourse!! We have help in this difficult hour. Our Lady once said to us: June 2, 2007 “Dear children! Also, in this difficult time God’s love sends me to you. My children do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live. I will help you to come to know the love of my Son. I will triumph through you. Thank you.” Her words are even more powerful today, than they were in 2007. God’s love has sent her to us!! He knows we need our Mother at just such a time. With our Rosaries we can hold on to her hand, like children, praying with hope and confidence. I just love it when she tells us: “My children, do not be afraid, I am with you.” Children know the comfort of the mother’s presence at night, in the dark. With her, they can be at peace. All is well. In our darkness today, our Mother is with us, what more do we need? “With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live.” Just so. When a child is in the dark, the mother comes and grasps him by the hand and leads him out of the dark into the light. She shows him where he is and keeps him safe. We have been and are in a very dark moment in history, even before this virus. But Our Mother is leading us to the light, to peace and safety. She will show us the way and interpret the signs for us. “I will help you to come to know the love of my Son, I will triumph through you!” Mother Mary is leading us to Jesus, and when we see Him, it will be the Triumph!! Jesus will come to Crown His Mother as Queen of Heaven and Earth and quell all her enemies. This is where we are headed. St. Joseph is here, at Mary’s side, silently supporting her and interceding for us. Here is what St. Thomas Aquinas had to say about St. Joseph: WORDS OF ST. THOMAS AQUINAS “Some Saints are privileged to extend to us their patronage with particular efficacy in certain needs, but not in others; but our holy patron St. Joseph has the power to assist us in all cases, in every necessity, in every undertaking.” Dear St. Joseph, we believe that you can help us in every situation. Pray for us to finally give Mary our hearts, to trust her, and let her lead us. Pray that we can recognize the signs of the times in which we live and respond to them with holiness and love. Bring us safely into the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!! Amen The prayer to St. Joseph, for the Mary TV Family: Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided.  Filled with confidence we implore you, O faithful St. Joseph: help us now in our turn not to leave the side of Mary, our Mother, Queen of Peace of Medjugorje, Queen of Divine Mercy. Help us St. Joseph, to be like you, faithful to her in everything. Help us respond to her call. St. Joseph, Foster Father of us all, hear us and answer us. Amen.   In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan ©Mary TV 2020

March 15, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph! Day 6

Mother Mary and St. Joseph, Protect us!! (c)Mary TV/Anthony Zubac March 15, 2020Novena to St. Joseph, the Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Day 6 Dear Family of Mary! Today we pray to St. Joseph as our Protector! Truly St. Joseph is the patron of the entire Church and protects Mother Church even as he protected Our Lady. He is a good and powerful father, watching at every turn for danger, and running interference for his children at every threat. We can trust in his vigilant care. Our Lady also watches over us in the same way, and has been sent by the Heavenly Father to protect us, as she told us in this message: March 25, 1990 “Dear children! I am with you even if you are not conscious of it. I want to protect you from everything that satan offers you and through which he wants to destroy you. As I bore Jesus in my womb, so also, dear children, do I wish to bear you into holiness. God wants to save you and sends you messages through men, nature, and so many things which can only help you to understand that you must change the direction of your life. Therefore, little children, understand also the greatness of the gift which God is giving you through me, so that I may protect you with my mantle and lead you to the joy of life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Thank you Mother, for the protection of your Mantle!  Here is a prayer to St. Joseph, asking for his holy protection. Like Mary, he will keep us safe if we ask him: O holy protector of the Holy Family, protect us children of the Lord Jesus Christ; keep far from us the errors and evils which corrupt the world; assist us from Heaven in our struggles against the powers of darkness. And as thou once didst protect the Divine Child from the cruel edict of Herod, now defend the Church and keep it safe from all dangers and threats; spread over all of us thy holy patronage so that by following thine example and aided by thy spiritual guidance, we may all aspire to a virtuous life, look to a holy death and secure for ourselves the blessing of eternal happiness in Heaven. Amen. Thank you St. Joseph from protecting us from the Powers of Darkness! The prayer to St. Amen. March 14, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph! Day 5

Mother Mary and St. Joseph, Guide Us!! (c)Mary TV/ Mateo Ivankovic March 14, 2020Novena to St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady tells us that she wants to guide us. She wants to be intimately involved in our lives, guiding us towards holiness. Here is her beautiful message, given on October 24, 1985: October 24, 1985 “Dear children! From day to day I wish to clothe you in holiness, goodness, obedience and God’s love, so that from day to day you become more beautiful and more prepared for your Master. Dear children, listen to and live my messages. I wish to guide you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”     What a beautiful call! She wants us to be clothed in holiness! She wants us to be more beautiful! She wants to prepare us for Jesus, our Master. She does this through her messages. And I can’t help but think that St. Joseph is by her side in this project. He is silent, but he is most interested in helping Our Lady to guide us. Here is a lovely prayer to St. Joseph, asking for His help and guidance: ACT OF CONSECRATION TO ST. JOSEPH O Dearest St. Joseph, I consecrate myself to thy honor and give myself to thee, that thou mayest always be my father, my protector and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a great purity of heart and a fervent love of the interior life. After thine example, may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary! And do thou, O blessed St. Joseph, pray for me that I may share in the peace and joy of thy holy death. Amen. Amen and Amen!! Thank you, Mother Mary and dear St. Joseph!! We will follow your lead! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2020 PS. It looks like many of our countries are observing a time of quiet and restraint, in which we must stay home and cease public activity, in order to limit the spread of the Corona virus. It is a serious moment in the world. But I believe we are being given a moment to cease worldly activity, in order to turn our attention to our future, eternity. We are being given a true Lent, in which we withdraw from the world and its pleasures and focus on God. Let’s pray for our poor world that many will take this gift and turn towards Jesus and His Divine Mercy! And that Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart will become their guiding star!

March 13, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph! Day 4

God love to bless us, through Mary, through Joseph, through our priests!! (c)Mary TV/ Mateo Ivankovic March 13, 2020Novena to St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Day 4 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 4 of our Novena to St. Joseph! Today we are going to ask for blessing. Our Lady has told us she wants to bless us. She wants to give us the blessing she has for us from God:  June 25, 1987 “Dear children! Today I thank you and I want to invite you all to God’s peace. I want each one of you to experience in your heart that peace which God gives. I want to bless you all today. I am blessing you with God’s blessing and I beseech you, dear children, to follow and to live my way. I love you, dear children, and so not even counting the number of times, I go on calling you and I thank you for all that you are doing for my intentions. I beg you, help me to present you to God and to save you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” What a beautiful message of blessing from Our Lady. She blesses us with God’s blessing. And she calls us to “live my way!” Her way is of course, holiness. She wants to “present you to God and to save you!” St. Joseph wants to bless us as well, and to save us. He is a father! Here is a prayer asking for the blessing of St. Joseph which is think expresses the same sentiments as Our Lady’s message. We need the blessing of Holy Mary and the blessing of St. Joseph so much! We need all the graces they can provide for us in these difficult days. Petitions for St. Joseph’s Blessing Bless me, O dearly beloved Father, St. Joseph, bless my body and my soul; bless my resolutions, my words and deeds, all my actions and omissions, my every step; bless all that I possess, all my interior and exterior goods, that all may redound to the greater honor of God. Bless me for time and eternity and preserve me from every sin. Obtain for me the grace to make atonement for all my sins by love and contrition here on earth, so that after my last breath I may, without delay, prostrate at your feet, return thee thanks in Heaven for all the love and goodness thou, O dearest father, hast shown me here below. Amen. (Now pray the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be 3 times, in thanksgiving to God for the graces and prerogatives bestowed on St. Joseph.) The prayer to St. Amen. March 12, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph! Day 3

(c)Mary TV/ Anthony Zubac 2019 March 12, 2020Novena to St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dear Family of Mary! Day 3 of our Novena to St. Joseph! Today we are going to ask for a miracle. Our Lady has asked us to give her our hearts so that she can change them to be like hers. This would be the most wonderful miracle I can think of!! This would make us capable of helping her with her mission. Listen to her request: May 15, 1986 “Dear children! Today I call you to give me your heart so I can change it to be like mine. You are wondering, dear children, why you cannot respond to that which I am seeking from you. You are not able to because you have not given me your heart so I can change it. You are talking but you are not doing. I call on you to do everything that I am telling you. That way I will be with you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Now let’s pray to St. Joseph to help us to actually do as Our Lady asks!! Prayer to St. Joseph for a miracle. O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph’s great faithfulness to grace. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example, I too may be faithful to grace. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain for me the favor I ask: Help me to give my heart to Mary so she can make it like her heart! O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph’s great faithfulness to the interior life. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example, I too may be faithful to the interior life. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain for me the favor I ask: Help me to give my heart to Mary so she can make it like her heart! O MY GOD I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph’s great love for Our Lady. O Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example, I too may truly love the Blessed Virgin Mary O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain the favor I ask. Help me to give my heart to Mary so she can make it like her heart! O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph’s great love for the Divine Child. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example, I too may truly love the Child Jesus. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain the favor I ask: Help me to give my heart to Mary so she can make it like her heart! The prayer to St. Amen. March 11, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph! Day 2

(c)Mary TV/ Anthony Zubac 2019 March 11, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 2 of our Novena to St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Lady has asked us to help her in her mission in these days. She has come to Medjugorje with a job to do, and she needs our help. We in turn need help. We are weak and little, and so we need help. That is why we are praying to St. Joseph. He can help us to help Our Lady. She said to us: October 2, 2010 “Dear children; Today I call you to a humble, my children, humble devotion. Your hearts need to be just. May your crosses be your means in the battle against the sins of the present time. May your weapon be patience and boundless love, a love that knows to wait and which will make you capable of recognizing God’s signs, that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies… My children, my apostles, help me to open the paths to my Son. Once again, I call you to pray for your shepherds. Alongside them, I will triumph. Thank you.” Our Mother needs us to be humble, just, ready to carry our crosses, patient, and filled with boundless love. She needs us to be able to recognize God’s signs. She needs us to realize the truth and share it with others. Does this all sound very much like our dear St. Joseph? He was the most humble person after Our Lady. He is called St. Joseph, the Just. He carried his cross with such love, meaning that he cared for Mary and Jesus without tiring. And he was full of love and patience. So, St. Joseph can help us in these days to become like him. Then we will be a help to Our Lady. Act of Consecration to St. Joseph by St. Bernardine of Siena O my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child. Take charge of my salvation; watch over me day and night; preserve me from the occasions of sins; obtain for me purity of body. Through thy intercession with Jesus, grant me a spirit of sacrifice, humility, self-denial, burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and a sweet and tender love for Mary, my mother. Saint Joseph, be with me living, be with me dying, and obtain for me a favorable judgment from Jesus, my merciful Savior. Amen. And our novena prayer: The prayer to St. Amen. Thank you for joining in the simple novena. I believe St. Joseph is with us now as a special gift of the Father in Heaven. March 10, 2020 Reflection – A Novena to St. Joseph!

(c)Mary TV/ Anthony Zubac 2019 March 10, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! Today we begin a novena to St. Joseph, to end on March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary! I feel that we need St. Joseph very much in these days. The Father gave St. Joseph to Our Lady, to help her in her primary mission, as the Mother of God. The Father knew that Mary would need a spouse who was incredibly able to love her and protect her, to love Jesus and protect Him, and to support the mission that Our Lady had, to bear and raise the Savior of the World. Mary needed St. Joseph in her mission. And now she needs us, in our own little way, in her mission in these days. October 2, 2007 “Dear children, I call you to accompany me in my mission of God with an open heart and complete trust. The path on which I lead you towards God is difficult, but persistent and in the end we will all rejoice in God. Therefore, my children, do not stop praying for the gift of faith. Only faith in God’s Word will be the light in this darkness which desires to envelop us. Do not be afraid, I am with you. Thank you.” Mary asks us to accompany her in her mission of God… which is exactly what St. Joseph did. The path for her then, was difficult, but she and St. Joseph were persistent, and, in the end, they rejoiced in God in eternity!! I believe that St. Joseph will aid us now as we travel with Mary through these modern days, bringing the Savior through our faith, hope and love. We can help her, and St. Joseph can help us!! Each day I will share a prayer to St Joseph and the prayer that Denis has written to St. Joseph, asking for his help for Mary TV, as we try to help Our Lady with her mission. A Prayer of St. Louis de Montfort Hail Joseph the just, wisdom is with you; blessed are you among all men and blessed is Jesus, the fruit of Mary, your faithful spouse. Holy Joseph, worthy foster-father of Jesus Christ, pray for us sinners and obtain divine wisdom for us from God, now and at the hour of our death. Amen The prayer to St. Joseph, for Mary TV: Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Amen. Thank you for joining in the simple novena. I believe St. Joseph is with us now as a special gift of the Father in Heaven. Thank you, St. Joseph! March 9, 2020 Update from Denis – Meeting today’s challenges

(c) Mary TV / Anthony Zubac March 9, 2020   Dear Mary TV Family,   I realized at Mass yesterday Our Lady gave us a way to deal with the threat of Coronavirus.   It was October, 1986. The faded message was mimeographed on a little slip of paper taped on the front door of St James Church. I was about to enter the Church for the first time. Our Lady’s message read: If the average Catholic would take a little longer before receiving Holy Communion, praying, preparing their hearts to receive Jesus, and then spend a little more time afterwards talking to Jesus, giving him thanks, they would experience many more miracles in their lives and there would be less sickness among them!     That message was never published. Ten years later Vicka confirmed the Gospa said it!   Mary TV is committed to continue getting Our Lady’s messages and her presence in Medjugorje out to the world!     Thanks to your generous response to our matching grant appeal MaryTV was able, among other things, to replace three portable video cameras that are used every day in Medjugorje in all kinds of weather – and wear out and need replacing. We were also able to install a huge server computer system at our Medjugorje studio for the storage of all our raw video and finished programming (we’ve never had this ability before) so that we can access this material quickly for editing and for future use – more than fifty thousand hours of video! We were able to purchase several ZAO portable transmitters for use in remote areas of the village (climbing the hills, apparitions, etc.)  This device circumvents the problem of the low bandwidth from the cell tower and makes it possible to stream with 3G modems at HD quality to the fiber optics in our studio!! We’re in the process of putting into position more (and closer) POV cameras on both mountains, etc., etc.   This is all thanks to your continued support…. Thank you for praying with us. Thank you for your donations! Together we are helping Our Lady!   God bless you!   Denis Nolan Mary TV   PS. Thanks to your support Mary TV is continuing to get Our Lady’s messages and her presence in Medjugorje out to the world! This is proving more important today when some dioceses are allowing people to gather for Mass only through the internet.   From January 1st to December 31, 2019, hundreds of thousands of people in the following countries (the list of cities is at the very end) prayed with St. James Church in Medjugorje through Mary TV  (These are our shipmates!!):   Costa Rica, Brazil, Slovenia, Republic of Moldova, Croatia, China, Ukraine, Switzerland, Honduras, Germany, Albania, Tanzania, Australia, Ireland, Portugal, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Belarus, Ghana, Macao, Paraguay, Macedonia, Martinique, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Italy, France, Uruguay, Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Indonesia, Taiwan, Slovakia, Norway, Republic of Korea, Ethiopia, Nambia, Ivory Coast, Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Spain, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Turkey, Iceland, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Jersey, Canada, Chile, United States, Finland, Palestine, Poland, Mexico, Peru, Czechia, Latvia, Egypt, Romania, United Kingdom, Denmark, Cayman Islands, Republic of Lithuania, India, Saint Lucia, Sri Lanka, Israel, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Sweden, Hungary, Colombia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, N/A, Zambia, Serbia, Nigeria, Thailand, Malta, Réunion, Kuwait, Venezuela, Guadeloupe, Lebanon, Austria, Argentina, Qatar, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Vietnam, Greece, Mauritius, Japan, South Africa, Malaysia, Panama, and Philippines    Click here to see the full list of cities in which Mary TV shipmates join Medjugorje, live!! (There are 44 more cities than are in this list, but I don’t have their names):   Cities

March 9, 2020 Reflection – Be Merciful as your Father is Merciful

The Tribunal of Mercy – Confession (c)Mary TV/ Anthony Zubac 2020 March 9, 2020 St. Frances of Rome, Religious Dear Family of Mary! “…Apostles of my love, it is a time of vigilance, and of you I am asking for love, that you not judge-anyone. Because the Heavenly Father will judge everyone….”(March 2, 2020)    In our Gospel for today Jesus speaks of mercy and forgiveness to His disciples: Jesus said to his disciples: “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”   (Luke 6: 36-38)   I think that we do not yet understand completely the unlimited Mercy of God. Our Lady calls us not to judge, not to limit our love, even for those who have harmed us. She wants us to mirror her Son in all things. And the greatest of these things is His Mercy. St. Faustina understood and glorified Jesus’ Mercy as best she could. Here is a prayer she prayed to Jesus, to make her like Him in Mercy: O Most Holy Trinity! As many times as I breathe, as many times as my heart beats, as many times as my blood pulsates through my body, so many thousand times do I want to glorify Your mercy.    I want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection, O Lord. May the greatest of all divine attributes, that of Your unfathomable mercy, pass through my heart and soul to my neighbor.    Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors’ souls and come to their rescue.    Help me, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbors’ needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings.    Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all.    Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I may do only good to my neighbors and take upon myself the more difficult and toilsome tasks.    Help me, that my feet may be merciful, so that I may hurry to assist my neighbor, overcoming my own fatigue and weariness. My true rest is in the service of my neighbor.    Help me, O Lord, that my hart may be merciful so that I myself may feel all the sufferings of my neighbor. I will refuse my heart to no one. I will be sincere even with those who, I know, will abuse my kindness. And I will lock myself up in the most merciful Heart of Jesus. I will bear my own suffering in silence. May Your mercy, O Lord, rest upon me. You Yourself command me to exercise the three degrees of mercy. The first: the act of mercy, of whatever kind. The second: the word of mercy – if I cannot carry out a work of mercy, I will assist by my words. The third: prayer – if I cannot show mercy by deeds or words, I can always do so by prayer. My prayer reaches out even there where I cannot reach out physically. O my Jesus, transform me into Yourself, for you can do all things.  (Diary, 163) May we receive the grace to imitate Jesus in His great Mercy and Love for sinners, knowing that we ourselves are sinners who would perish without His Mercy. May the measure we give be the gift of our entire selves, that the measure that we receive will be the unlimited love of Jesus! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!Cathy Nolan©Mary TV 2020 PS. On March 8, 2020 Daylight Savings time begins in many countries. But it does not begin in Medjugorje until March 29, 2020. March 6, 2020 Reflection – I am asking for love…

I am asking for love… (c)Mary TV/ Anthony Zubac 2020 March 6, 2020 Dear Family of Mary! “Apostles of my love, it is a time of vigilance, and of you I am asking for love, that you not judge-anyone. Because the Heavenly Father will judge everyone.” (March 2, 2020) Our Lady calls us to hold vigil, but she doesn’t stop there. She continues with a very difficult call:  “Of you I am asking for love… and that you not judge-anyone….”    Mother Mary knows that these two calls are both difficult, and lofty! If we embrace them both, we will be on the path to holiness, to be like her Son, Jesus. In the Office of Readings for today, March 6, 2020, there is an incredible teaching by Saint Aelred, Abbot. (From “The Mirror of Love, Christ the Model of Brotherly Love”). It demonstrates perfectly how we can “love and not judge-anyone”:  The perfection of brotherly love lies in the love of one’s enemies. We can find no greater inspiration for this than grateful remembrance of the wonderful patience of Christ. He who is more fair than all the sons of men offered his fair face to be spat upon by sinful men; he allowed those eyes that rule the universe to be blindfolded by wicked men; he bared his back to the scourges; he submitted that head which strikes terror in principalities and powers to the sharpness of the thorns; he gave himself up to be mocked and reviled, and at the end endured the cross, the nails, the lance, the gall, the vinegar, remaining always gentle, meek and full of peace. In short, he was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb before the shearers he kept silent and did not open his mouth. Who could listen to that wonderful prayer, so full of warmth, of love, of unshakeable serenity-Father, forgive them-and hesitate to embrace his enemies with overflowing love? Father, he says, forgive them. Is any gentleness, any love, lacking in this prayer? Yet he put into it something more. It was not enough to pray for them: he wanted also to make excuses for them. Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. They are great sinners, yes, but they have little judgment; therefore, Father, forgive them. They are nailing me to the cross, but they do not know who it is that they are nailing to the cross: if they had known, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory; therefore, Father, forgive them. They think it is a lawbreaker, an impostor claiming to be God, a seducer of the people. I have hidden my face from them, and they do not recognize my glory; therefore, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. If someone wishes to love himself, he must not allow himself to be corrupted by indulging his sinful nature.
