Pray that through prayer you may yearn for Heaven   August 13, 2024 Sts. Pontian and Hippolytus Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 7 of our little novena before the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! And here is the message for today: May 25, 2017 “Dear children! The Most High has permitted me to call you anew to conversion. Little children, open your hearts to the grace to which you are all called. Be witnesses of peace and love in this peaceless world. Your life here on earth is passing. Pray that through prayer you may yearn for Heaven and the things of Heaven and your hearts will see everything differently. You are not alone; I am with you and intercede before my Son Jesus for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady counsels us to “Pray that through prayer you may yearn for Heaven!” She knows that it is only when we pray that we will begin to have the desire for Heaven. We are like little blind puppies before we learn to pray. It is in prayer itself, that our eyes are opened to the things of God and we begin to yearn for God and Heaven. As Our Lady tells us, through prayer “your hearts will see everything differently”. She knows what she is talking about! We need the salve of prayer generously applied to our spiritual eyes, so that we will be healed of our blindness, begin to see our world in all its poverty, and yearn for Heaven in the far distance! Dearest Mother Mary, we know that you were assumed into Heaven, body and soul, to be with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and all the Heavenly Host, for eternity. From Heaven, you come to us now, every day, in Medjugorje! You bring Heaven with you, and we all have felt it. We want to do everything we can to prepare for Heaven. …have more trust in God!   August 12, 2024 St. Jane Frances de Chantal Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 6 of our little novena before the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! And here is the message for today: May 25, 2018  “Dear children! In this peaceless time, I am calling you to have more trust in God who is your Father in Heaven and who has sent me to lead you to Him. You, open your hearts to the gifts which He desires to give you and, in the silence of your heart, adore my Son Jesus who has given His life so that you may live in eternity – where He desires to lead you. May your hope be the joy of a meeting with the Most High in everyday life. Therefore, I am calling you: do not neglect prayer because prayer works miracles. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Everything Our Lady tells us in this message points us to Heaven. She has such a simple way of re-routing our thoughts to the correct destination! We get embroiled in our troubles in this life, and for many of those troubles, we have no control. So Our Lady teaches us the way to manage our lives without the anxiety that our situations may cause. Let our Mother’s words sink into our hearts in such a way that we learn from her how to travel through this life with our eyes firmly fixed on our Father, who is in Heaven! I am your mother…   August 11, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 5 of our little novena before the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Our Lady simply invites us into a closer relationship with her, in which she wants to guide us into the safety of her motherly love. Those of us who are older may not know what it is like to have such a mother! But, through prayer we can learn to love Our Lady as our mother! Listen to her words: August 25, 1998 “Dear children! Today I invite you to come still closer to me through prayer. Little children, I am your mother, I love you and I desire that each of you be saved and thus be with me in Heaven. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray until your life becomes prayer… Thank you for having responded to my call.” Mother Mary, we want very much to be closer to you. We want to experience you as our mother. Save us, and bring us to Heaven. We say yes, we will pray, pray, pray! In heaven is the joy through which you can already live heaven now.   August 9, 2024 St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross Dear Family of Mary! Today is Day 3 of our little novena before the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! We consider together another message from Our Lady, in which she talks to us about heaven. In this message Our Lady speaks of the importance of her messages in our journey towards Heaven. She wants us to really try to live her messages, as they help us on our way to Heaven: May 25, 1991  “Dear Children! Today I invite all of you who have heard my message of peace to realize it with seriousness and with love in your life. There are many who think that they are doing a lot by talking about the messages, but do not live them. Dear children, I invite you to life and to change all the negative in you, so that it all turns into the positive and life. Dear children, I am with you and I desire to help each of you to live and by living, to witness the good news. I am here, dear children, to help you and to lead you to heaven, and in heaven is the joy through which you can already live heaven now. Thank you for having responded to my call!” Mother Mary is leading us to heaven. She knows the way! Her life, and her Assumption have given her a roadmap for us all. Let’s listen to and live her messages so that we will find ourselves living heaven here on earth, because the joy of heaven is already in us through Mary! I want each one of you…to be with me in Heaven.   August 8, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Day 2 of our Novena before the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Today’s message shows how serious Our Lady is! She wants each one of us to be in Heaven with her!!! But our wills are involved. We must choose holiness. We must reject satan every day, because he will not quit tempting us. This is a fight to the death! But Our Lady is with us to bring us through it all, unto Heaven! May 25, 1987  “Dear children! I am calling every one of you to start living in God’s love. Dear children, you are ready to commit sin, and to put yourselves in the hand of satan without reflecting. I call on each one of you to consciously decide for God and against satan. I am your Mother and, therefore, I want to lead you all to perfect holiness. I want each one of you to be happy here on earth and to be with me in Heaven. That is, dear children, the purpose of my coming here and it’s my desire. I desire to bring you all to Heaven unto God!   August 7, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Today we begin a novena before the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! It is a joy to be able to pray to Our Lady in this special way especially after the Youth Festival which was her gift to us! Our Lady must have been very busy during the Youth Festival, ministering to all the young people (and not so young people) at the Festival! It seems like a good idea to return to quiet prayer now, preparing for her Feast Day! I propose that we take one message a day, in which Our Lady talks about Heaven, and pray over it, giving her words time to percolate in our souls! She speaks so simply that we can overlook the incredible meaning in them. Our Lady was assumed into Heaven! Heaven is now her home. We need to raise our eyes toward Heaven, which one day will be our home as well. It is Heaven that waits for us. Let Our Lady guide us to our Home. Novena Day 1 November 27, 1986 “Dear children! Again today I call you to consecrate your life to me with love, so I am able to guide you with love. I love you, dear children, with a special love and I desire to bring you all to Heaven unto God. I want you to realize that this life lasts briefly compared to the one in Heaven. Therefore, dear children, decide again today for God. Only that way will I be able to show how much you are dear to me and how much I desire all to be saved and to be with me in Heaven. Thank you, Dearest Mother, for the Youth Festival   August 6, 2024 The Transfiguration of the Lord Dear Family of Mary! In the wee hours of the morning the young people will climb Cross Mountain and gather around the Cross for Holy Mass with the priests! Today is the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord! What a fitting ending to the Youth Festival! They will be with Jesus on a mountain, just as Peter, James and John were with Him on a mountain so many years ago. They will carry all their beautiful memories from the Festival with them, pondering them in their hearts. They will experience Jesus, in the Holy Mass, very much like the Apostles experienced Him on that mountain, transfigured! This is a moment of deep transformation for the young people. As we all look back over these 6 days of prayer, teaching, testimony and Holy Masses, we will discover many signal graces for each one of us! Let’s pray for the young people in a special way, that as they re-enter their normal lives, they will find themselves changed! They will find themselves new and reborn in the Holy Spirit! They are carrying in them the seeds of resurrection! They may very well change the world! I want to write a short litany of thanksgiving as we end this Youth Festival, one that we can pray together. There is so much to be thankful for!! Litany of Thanksgiving for the Medjugorje Youth Festival 2024! As we all travel home and re-enter our lives, we want to thank You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for all the graces you have poured out upon us during the extraordinary Medjugorje Youth Festival. 2024: We thank You dearest Lord, that we could travel so far the take part in this holy event! We thank You dearest Lord, that if we couldn’t travel, we could still attend the Festival through Mary TV or the Parish web site. We thank You, Lord, for all the speakers who taught us, shared with us, witnessed their conversions and the graces received in Medjugorje. and showed us such love. We thank You. Lord, for all the priests who heard our confessions, concelebrated Holy Mass, prayed over us, and guided us over these six days. We thank You, Lord, for all the speakers who told us about their lives, their conversions, their sufferings, and their victories won through Our Lady’s special care! We thank You, Lord, for all the priests, nuns, and brothers who worked tirelessly to provide everything we needed to pray together, sing and dance together, receive communion, and all the other blessings we received. We thank You, Lord, for the musicians who did such a fantastic job of lifting our hearts in song, and communicating the presence of God in their music. We thank You Lord, for all the cameramen, studio staff, internet connections, and the equipment necessary to stream the whole event, flawlessly, and with such expert care. We thank You, Lord, for all the wonderful people we met during the festival, from so many different countries! And we thank Our Lady for praying for each one of us, for holding each one of us in Her arms, loving us and pouring out graces upon us. We are changed by Her Love. Amen! There is certainly much more to give thanks for, so carry on with this prayer!! We all know that it was Our Lady’s presence that made this Festival so beautiful and full of grace! But she is very quiet. She doesn’t ask for attention. She only prays for us constantly, and protects us from our enemy, so that we can prosper and be healed. The Youth Festival in Medjugorje Day 5!!   August 5, 2024 The Dedication of the Basilica of St. Mary Major Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 5 of the Youth Festival! It is August 5th and this is a special day for Our Lady. Many years ago (1984), she revealed to the visionaries that August 5 was the date of her actual birth. She asked them to celebrate with her this way: In anticipation of this day Our Lady had said: “The priest who will hear confession will have great joy on that day.” During these 3 days of fasting and continuous prayer the visionaries say the Blessed Virgin was: Very Joyful. Our Lady repeated:  “I am very happy, continue, continue. Continue to pray and to fast.” Her joy seemed to have reached a peak Sunday, August 5th. Like a flower when it blooms, and full of joy, Our Lady said:“Continue, continue, open your hearts, ask God and I will ask for you.” Sunday, August 5, 1984 The celebration of the second millennium of Mary’s birthday was preceded by three days of fasting and continuous prayer. Seventy priests heard confessions without rest; there were a great number of conversions. “Never in my life have I cried with sorrow, as I have cried this evening with joy. Thank you!” We can spend this day, August 5, 2024, in profound prayer of thanksgiving for Our Lady’s Birth, and for her presence with us in Medjugorje even today!! This is God’s great gift to us!! Thank you, dearest Mother!!! The Festival has continued to be incredible. Both Saturday and Sunday contained joyful song and praise, beautiful liturgies, incredible testimonies and joy! On Sunday afternoon the Cenacolo Community shared some very moving testimonies of conversions from their members. And after Holy Mass, they again put on a very moving theatrical presentation of the life of Jesus. Incredibly moving!! The Youth Festival in Medjugorje Day 2!!   August 2, 2024 St Eusebius of Vercelli St Peter Julian Eymard Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 2 of the Youth Festival and here is the schedule; August 2, 2024 Youth Festival – Friday 6:00 AM – Rosary on Apparition Hill 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM Youth Festival Morning Session – Teachings and Testimonies 3:00 to 3:55 PM -Daily Rosary with Denis and Cathy 3:55 to 11:00 PM – Youth Festival Evening Program – Teachings, Testimonies, Holy Mass and more! I must say that the opening ceremony last night was the most beautiful thing to behold! There was not one inch of ground left unoccupied – so many people had come to pray together behind the Church. All eyes were on the altar, while many decades of the Rosary were prayed. There was great reverence during the Holy Mass!! And Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was heavenly! I realized last night that the 35th Youth Festival in Medjugorje is Heaven’s answer to the unholy display at the opening of the Paris Olympics. And the power of prayer in Medjugorje last night vastly out weighed that pathetic display of disrespect in Paris. The Good will win! The Good already has won! Jesus is Lord!!! Take these words to heart: May 25, 2022 “Dear children! I am looking at you and thanking God for each of you, because He permits me to still be with you, to encourage you to holiness. Little children, peace is disturbed and Satan wants peacelessness. That is why, may your prayer be even stronger so that every unclean spirit of division and war may be stilled. Be builders of peace and carriers of joy of the Risen One in you and around you, for the good to win in every man. Thank you for having responded to my call.” This is our call!
