October 27, 2023 Reflection – Pray for Peace…

Pray for Peace…   October 27, 2023 “Dear children! Winds of evil, hatred and peacelessness are blowing through the earth to destroy lives. That is why the Most High sent me to you, to lead you towards the way of peace and unity with God and people. You, little children, are my extended hands: pray, fast and offer sacrifices for peace – the treasure for which every heart yearns. Thank you for having responded to my call.” This message calls us to be Our Lady’s extended hands, to pray, fast and offer sacrifices for peace. I would like to respond today to that call by offering you a prayer written by Fr. Slavko Barbaric, and published in “Pray with the Heart!” A Medjugorje Manual of Prayer. I believe it will help us to begin responding to Our Lady’s call. May we take time with The Rosary of Peace this weekend, and begin to give ourselves to the task that Our Lady has given us…to pray for peace. The Rosary of Peace From Pray With the Heart! Medjugorje Manual of Prayer (Fr. Slavko Barbaric) Introductory Prayer Heavenly Father, I believe that you are the good Father of all people. I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ to the world to conquer evil and sin, and to accomplish peace among all people, for all people are your children and Jesus’ brothers. And once we know this, all destruction and every defilement of peace is all the more pitiable and incomprehensible. Grant that I now and all those who will pray for peace, may pray with a pure heart that you may answer our prayers and give us true peace of heart and soul – peace to our families, peace to our church and to the whole world.  Good Father, remove from us all weeds of disturbance and disorder and give us the joyous fruits and of peace and reconciliation with you and with all men. We ask you this with Mary, the Mother of your Son and the Queen of Peace. May it be so. I believe…. THE FIRST MYSTERY: Jesus gives peace to my heart. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27) Jesus, quiet my heart. Open my heart to your peace. I have had enough unrest and anxiety. Jesus, I have been cheated thoroughly by false hopes, bruised by heavy blows, cut by sharp blades. I have no peace.  I am easily overwhelmed by worries. I am easily affected by fear and mistrust. Too often have I hoped to find peace in this world, but my heart is still restless. Therefore, Jesus, together with St. Augustine I ask you to appease my heart and let it find rest in you. Do not ever let the waves of sin overflow it. Be my rock and my fortress from now on. Come back to me and stay with me, you who are the only fountain of true peace. Thank you for the consoling words recorded by your dearest disciple:  “I have told you this that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” (John 16:33) (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O My Jesus…) THE SECOND MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to my family. “Whatever town or village you enter, look for a worthy person in it, and stay there until you leave. As you enter a house, wish it peace. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you.” (Matthew 10:11-13) O Jesus, thank you for having thought of our families as well. Thank you for having sent out the apostles to spread their peace in families. Now I ask you heartily to to make my family deserving of your peace. Cleanse us of all sinful thoughts and deeds that your peace may grow and come into bloom within us. May your peace remove all anxieties, all conflicts from our family. Grant that your peace may completely overwhelm us and that You, the Peacemaker may always be the first member of our family.   I also pray to you for neighboring families. Let them too, be, filled with your peace and we shall all be fine. (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) THE THIRD MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to the Church and calls her to spread peace. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old order has passed away; now all is new. All this has been done by God who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. We implore you in Christ’s name; be reconciled to God.” (2 Cor. 5:17-19) Jesus, I implore you to give peace to your Church. Reconcile all that is unreconcilable in her. Bless priests, bishops and the Pope that they may live reconciled and perform the ministry of reconciliation. Remove from your Church all division. Reconcile all those who are in variance in your Church and who, with their mutual conflicts, scandalize your little ones. Reconcile various religious groups. May your Church, spotless and stainless, be steadily calm, and let her be the promoter of peace. (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) THE FOURTH MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to his people. “As he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, ‘If this day you only knew what makes for peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; and they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”  (Luke 19:41-44) Jesus, you wept over your city and over your people. You offered them peace, but they were deaf and blind and did not either hear or see. Thank you for your love toward your people. Please grant that I may know how to lead my town, my people, my village, and my homeland to the good. I pray to you for every individual member of my homeland, for each of my countrymen, for all those who are in authority. Grant that they may not be blind but that they may learn and recognize what they are to do for the realization of peace. Let there be no more ruin in my people, but let them all become solid spiritual buildings which will shine with peace and joy. Jesus, give peace to my people. Give peace to every nation. Let everyone live in peace and let everyone proclaim peace. (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) THE FIFTH MYSTERY: Jesus offers peace to the whole world. “Promote the welfare of the city to which I have exiled you; pray for it to the Lord, for upon its welfare depends your own.” (Jeremiah 29:7) Jesus, the dangerous seeds of war and all kinds of conflicts have long since been sown and are now germinating on the earth. And I know quite well that my peace too, as well as the peace of all people, firmly depends on peace in all countries and nations of the world. Therefore I ask you to root out, with your divine power, the ill-fated seed of unrest and sin as the first cause of every disturbance. Let the whole world be open to your peace. All people need you in their life’s unrest, so help them all to find peace, to realize peace. Many nations have lost their character. Many live in fear of others who are stronger and richer. Many of the poor and the persecuted rebel, while many of the rich and the wanton vent their fury over them. Generally, there is no peace, or hardly any. So, Lord, send us your Holy Spirit that He may bring the original divine order into this human disorder of ours. Let the nations be healed of their spiritual wounds so that mutual reconciliation may be possible. Send to all nations the messengers and harbingers of peace so that everyone may realize the deep truth of what you once said through your great prophet: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, and saying to Zion, ‘Your God is King.’” (Isaiah 52:7) (Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory Be, O my Jesus…) Closing Prayer O Lord, heavenly Father, give us your peace. We ask this of you together with all your children in whom you have planted the desire for peace and appeasement. We ask this together with all those who, in unspeakable sufferings, are sighing for peace. And after this life, which, for the best part of it after all, we have spent in restlessness, take us into the kingdom of your eternal peace and love. Accept all those who have fallen as victims of war and conflicts. Accept all those who are looking for peace on wrong paths. We ask this through Christ, the Prince of Peace, and through the intercession of our Heavenly Mother, the Queen of Peace. Amen. Thank you for praying The Rosary for Peace! May we persevere now in these days as Our Lady has asked us. Pray, Fast and Sacrifice for Peace! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 24, 2023 Reflection – I am calling you to strong prayer…

I am calling you to strong prayer…   October 24, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! As we await the Monthly Message tomorrow, let’s spend time today meditating on the September 25, 2023 message: Dear children! I am calling you to strong prayer. Modernism wants to enter into your thoughts and steal from you the joy of prayer and of meeting with Jesus. That is why, my dear little children, renew prayer in your families, so that my motherly heart may be joyful as in the first days, when I had chosen you, and day and night prayer resounded — and Heaven was not silent but abundantly bestowed peace and blessing on this place of grace. Thank you for having responded to my call. ( September 25, 2023 ) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 23, 2023 Reflection – Renew prayer and fasting in your families!

Renew prayer and fasting in your families!   October 23, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today I want to share with you a message that Our Lady gave to Ivan Dragicevic on October 20, 2023. And then Ivan shared this message during a meeting on October 21, 2023. Ivan has given us permission to share this message. Here is how Ivan’s translator introduced the message to us: During Our Lady’s apparition yesterday (October 20, 2023) to Ivan, Our Lady imparted these words – this message – and Ivan wants to share this message with all of us gathered today. It was given by Our Lady yesterday so that Ivan had a chance to translate this message for all of us today. “Dear children! Today I invite you to pray for peace. At this time, peace is threatened in a special way, and I ask you to renew fasting and prayer in your families and to encourage others to pray for peace. Dear children, I want you to understand the seriousness of the situation and that much of what will happen depends on your prayer and perseverance. Dear children, I am with you and I invite you to seriously start praying and fasting. Thank you for responding to my call!”   (October 20, 2023) Let’s take these words to heart and pray and fast for peace with perseverance! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 20, 2023 Reflection – Together let us be love and forgiveness…

Together let us be love and forgiveness…   October 20, 2023 St. Paul of the Cross Dear Family of Mary! January 25, 2015 “Dear children! Also today I call you: live your vocation in prayer. Now, as never before, Satan wants to suffocate man and his soul by his contagious wind of hatred and unrest. In many hearts there is no joy because there is no God or prayer. Hatred and war are growing from day to day. I am calling you, little children, begin anew, with enthusiasm, the walk of holiness and love; since I have come among you because of this. Together let us be love and forgiveness for all those who know and want to love only with a human love and not with that immeasurable love of God to which God calls you. Little children, may hope in a better tomorrow always be in your heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 19, 2023 Reflection – Before all else, forgive in the family…

Before all else, forgive in the family….   October 19, 2023 Sts. John de Brebeuf, Isaac Jogues and companions Dear Family of Mary! January 25, 1996 “Dear Children! Today I invite you to decide for peace. Pray that God give you the true peace. Live peace in your hearts and you will understand, dear children, that peace is the gift of God. Dear children, without love you cannot live peace. The fruit of peace is love and the fruit of love is forgiveness. I am with you and I invite all of you, little children, that before all else forgive in the family and then you will be able to forgive others. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 18, 2023 Reflection – Thank you, St. Luke!

Thank you, St. Luke!   October 18, 2023 Feast of St. Luke, Evangelist Dear Family of Mary! This is the Feast of St. Luke, one of the Four Evangelists!! It is St. Luke who gave us the majority of the infancy narrative of Jesus!! Let’s read with reverence and awe St. Luke’s account of the amazing events surrounding Jesus’ Incarnation and birth!! Luke 1: 26-56 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I have no husband?” And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechari’ah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts, he has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever.” And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her home. Luke 2: 1-20 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled. This was the first enrollment, when Quirin’i-us was governor of Syria. And all went to be enrolled, each to his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to be delivered. And she gave birth to her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. And in that region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!” When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they went with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they saw it they made known the saying which had been told them concerning this child; and all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. Praised be Jesus and Mary!! Thanks be given to St. Luke!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 17, 2023 Reflection – “Only with prayer and fasting can wars also be stopped”

“Only with prayer and fasting can wars also be stopped”   October 17, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! War has arisen in our world. Our Lady has come to bring us peace. The Lord has sent her to us as an emissary for peace. For 42 years she has tried to teach us the ways of peace. Have we listened to her? Here are three messages in which Our Lady teaches us the way to peace. As we prayerfully read these messages, may we again commit ourselves to her plan for peace through prayer and fasting… February 25, 2003 “Dear children! Also today I call you to pray and fast for peace. As I have already said and now repeat to you, little children, only with prayer and fasting can wars also be stopped. Peace is a precious gift from God. Seek, pray and you will receive it. Speak about peace and carry peace in your hearts. Nurture it like a flower which is in need of water, tenderness and light. Be those who carry peace to others. I am with you and intercede for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” January 25, 2001 “Dear children! Today I call you to renew prayer and fasting with even greater enthusiasm until prayer becomes a joy for you. Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped – wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children: your peace and hope are in God. That is why draw closer to God and put Him in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” February 25, 2021 “Dear children! God has permitted me to be with you also today, to call you to prayer and fasting. Live this time of grace and be witnesses of hope, because I repeat to you, little children, that with prayer and fasting also wars can be suppressed. Little children, believe and live this time of grace in faith and with faith; and my Immaculate Heart does not leave any of you in peacelessness if you have recourse to me. I intercede for you before the Most High and I pray for peace in your hearts and for hope for the future. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Mother, do not tire of teaching us to pray and fast for peace. We will do as you have urged us so frequently. Mother of Jesus, Queen of Peace, pray for us! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 16, 2023 Reflection – Stay with me Lord…

Stay with me Lord…   October 16, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! I am exhausted from travel and a family wedding, and so let’s pray together this prayer by St. Padre Pio. He knows about exhaustion and needing Jesus so very much!! Stay with me, Lord Prayer of St. Pio of Pietrelcina after Communion Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often. Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am without meaning and hope. Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and without You, I am in darkness. Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will. Stay with me, Lord, so that I can hear Your voice and follow you. Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You ever more, and to be always in Your company. Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be always faithful to You. Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I wish it to be a place of consolation for You, a dwelling of Your love. Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late; the days are coming to a close and life is passing. Death, judgement and eternity are drawing near. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way, for that I need You. It is getting late and death approaches. I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need you, my Jesus, in this night of exile! Stay with me, Jesus, because in the darkness of life, with all its dangers, I need You. Help me to recognize You as Your disciples did at the Breaking of the Bread, so that the Eucharist Communion be the light which disperses darkness, the power which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart. Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death I want to be one with You, and if not by Communion, at least by Your grace and love. Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolations because I do not deserve them, but I only ask for the gift of Your Presence. Oh yes! I ask this of You. Stay with me, Lord, for I seek You alone, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and I ask for no other reward but to love You more and more, with a strong active love. Grant that I may love You with all my heart while on earth, so that I can continue to love you perfectly throughout all eternity, dear Jesus. Amen! And we can add this message from Our Lady in which She asks us to stay with her!! February 25, 1984 “Know that I love all of you. Know that you are all mine. To no one do I desire to give more than to you. Come to me all of you. Stay with me. I want to be your Mother. Come, I desire all of you.” Yes, Mother, we will stay with you! We need you so very much!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023

October 13, 2023 Reflection – Blessed are they who hope in the Lord!

Blessed are they who hope in the Lord!   October 13, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! The Psalm Response for Mass today is very comforting, very encouraging: “Blessed are they who hope in the Lord!” What does it mean to “Hope in the Lord”? When we hope in the Lord, we confidently place all our trust in Him. We actively live that trust, because we believe that our hope is fulfilled only in God. St. Paul said: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Rm 15:13) St. Paul says that our God is the God of hope!! God gives us hope because in every way He offers us a future full of joy, a life worth living, eternity with Him in Heaven, forgiveness of our sins, peace in our hearts…and on and on. God gives us reason to hope! Because He offers us Heaven with Him. And so we have everything to live for!! Our Lady has encouraged us to live in God’s hope. Here are 5 messages that encourage us to understand and live our hope in God! Pray the Rosary today, allowing these messages to help us to grow in hope: June 25, 2012 “Dear children! With great hope in the heart, also today I call you to prayer. If you pray, little children, you are with me and you are seeking the will of my Son and are living it. Be open and live prayer and, at every moment, may it be for you the savor and joy of your soul. I am with you and I intercede for all of you before my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” July 25, 2012 “Dear children! Today I call you to the ‘good’. Be carriers of peace and goodness in this world. Pray that God may give you the strength so that hope and pride may always reign in your heart and life because you are God’s children and carriers of His hope to this world that is without joy in the heart, and is without a future, because it does not have its heart open to God who is your salvation. Thank you for having responded to my call.” August 25, 2012 “Dear children! Also today, with hope in the heart, I am praying for you and am thanking the Most High for every one of you who lives my messages with the heart. Give thanks to God’s love that I can love and lead each of you through my Immaculate Heart also toward conversion. Open your hearts and decide for holiness, and hope will give birth to joy in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call.” September 25, 2012 “Dear children! When in nature you look at the richness of the colors which the Most High gives to you, open your heart and pray with gratitude for all the good that you have and say: ‘I am here created for eternity’ – and yearn for heavenly things because God loves you with immeasurable love. This is why He also gave me to you to tell you: ‘Only in God is your peace and hope, dear children’. Thank you for having responded to my call.” April 25, 2015 “Dear children! I am with you also today to lead you to salvation. Your soul is restless because your spirit is weak and tired from all worldly things. You, little children, pray to the Holy Spirit that He may transform you and fill you with His strength of faith and hope, so that you may be firm in this battle against evil. I am with you and intercede for you before my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call…! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c) Mary TV 2023
