Anniversary Novena, Day 6   June 20, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 6! Today we take time to pray over the Message from February 25, 2022: “Dear children! I am with you and we pray together. Help me with prayer, little children, that Satan may not prevail. His power of death, hatred, and fear has visited the earth. Therefore, little children, return to God and to prayer, to fasting and to renunciation, for all those who are downtrodden, poor, and have no voice in this world without God. Little children, if you do not return to God and His Commandments, you do not have a future. That is why He sent me to you to guide you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (February 25, 2022) Let us pray: Mother, you spoke these serious words to us just as the war in Ukraine began. It was a moment of great sorrow and fear. You told us that you were with us and that we prayed together. We were encouraged by your presence. Then you reminded us that the answer to all our fears and woes was in prayer, fasting and renunciation for all those in need. And you reminded us to continue to return to God and to His commandments in order to find our way to the future with Him. May we respond to your call even now. Anniversary Novena, Day 5   June 19, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 5! Today we take time to pray over the Message from January 25, 2022: “Dear children! Today I am calling you to return to personal prayer. Little children, do not forget that Satan is strong and that he wants to attract all the more souls to himself. That is why, you be vigilant in prayer and resolute in the good. I am with you and am blessing all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (January 25, 2022) Let us pray: Mother, you have often called us to return to prayer! You have asked us to find time for God alone in prayer. You know the miracles that can happen when we decide for a time for personal prayer. Now you are warning us that Satan is strong, and we must be vigilant in prayer in order to withstand him. You told us this many years ago, through Jelena: “I’m going to reveal a spiritual secret to you: if you want to be stronger than evil, make yourself a plan of personal prayer. Take a certain time in the morning, read a text from Holy Scripture, anchor the Divine Word in your heart, and strive to live it during the day, particularly during the moment of trials. In this way, you will be stronger than evil.” (April 19, 1984-Jelena) Even today, we want to respond to this very good advice. But we will need your help, Mother.   Anniversary Novena, Day 4 June 18, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! This is Day 4, and we have two more powerful messages from Our Mother, the monthly messages for November and December 2021! Here is the November 25, 2021 message: “Dear children!   I am with you in this time of mercy and I am calling all of you to be carriers of peace and love in this world where, through me, little children, God is calling you to be prayer and love, and an expression of Heaven here on earth. May your hearts be filled with joy and faith in God; that, little children, you may have complete trust in His holy will. That is why I am with you, because He, the Most High, is sending me among you to encourage you to the hope; and you will be peacemakers in this peaceless world. Thank you for having responded to my call.”  (November 25, 2021) Let us pray: Dearest Mother, You have made it very clear that our job is not to engage in battle with our brothers and sisters who are lost in this world, but instead to be carriers of peace and love in every situation. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can become filled with joy and faith which will be a blessing for all those we meet. Through the love of God that is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, we will become peacemakers in this peaceless world. Mother, please pray for us that we will allow God’s blessings to flow through us! Amen. And here is the December 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! Today I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to give you His peace. Little children, without peace you do not have a future or blessing; therefore return to prayer, because the fruit of prayer is joy and faith, without which you cannot live. Today’s blessing which we give you, carry to your families and enrich all those whom you meet, that they may feel the grace which you are receiving. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (December 25, 2021) Dearest Mother, again in this message from December, through little Baby Jesus, you offered to us the way of prayer and peace, joy and faith, blessing and grace. You warned us that without peace we do not have a future. And you told us that if we receive the Baby Jesus, His peace will flow through us!!! We want His peace. Help us to receive little Jesus, and accept His peace so that we can carry it to all those we meet. This is your Peace Plan!! Simply to share Baby Jesus with all those we meet. Corpus Christi Procession in Medjugorje! June 17, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Day 3!! Today we will pray over the messages for September and October, 2021! They are powerful! I think I will not comment on them, but present them to you all for meditation. I will write a prayer response for us to pray today at the end. Here is the September 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! Pray, witness and rejoice with me because the Most High continues to send me to lead you on the way of holiness. Be aware, little children, that life is short, and eternity is waiting for you to give glory to God with your being, with all the saints. Little children, do not worry about earthly things, but long for Heaven. Heaven will be your goal and joy will begin to reign in your heart. I am with you and bless all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (September 25, 2021) Let us pray: Dearest Mother, we do rejoice with you, because the Heavenly Father continues to send you every day to be with us in Medjugorje! Thank you for leading us on the way of Holiness. Thank you for reminding us that life is short and heaven is our goal. We embrace your words and long to be with you very soon in Heaven. We love you dearest Mother! Amen. And here is the October 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! Return to prayer because he who prays is not afraid of the future; he who prays is open to life and respects the life of others; he who prays, little children, feels the freedom of the children of God and in joy of heart serves for the good for his brother-man. Because God is love and freedom, therefore, little children, when they want to put you in bonds and to use you, it is not from God. Because God loves and gives His peace to every creature; and that is why He sent me to you to help you to grow in holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (October 25, 2022) Dearest Mother, in this message you call us to prayer. If we pray, we will not be afraid of the future, we will be open to life, we will respect the lives of others, and we will live in the Freedom of God, serving our neighbors with love. Please, dearest Mother, help us to pray every day! And thank you for warning us that our freedom is a gift from God that no one can take away from us. Anniversary Novena, Day 2 June 16, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! On the second day of our novena, we have two messages from 2021 in which Our Lady gave us very good direction on how to offer the joy and love of God to all those we meet. She tells us that we need to be generous and be love for others: “Dear children! I am calling you to be prayer for all those who do not pray. Little children, witness with your lives the joy that you are mine and God will heed your prayers and give you peace in this peaceless world where pride and selfishness reign. Little children, you be generous and be the love of my love, so that pagans can feel that you are mine and convert to my Immaculate Heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (July 25, 2021) Our Lady is so positive!! She wants all her children to convert to her Immaculate Heart. And it is our job to help them, as her children! She tells us that people will feel that we are hers! Isn’t that amazing? What will they feel? I think they will feel her pure and immaculate love for them coming through us. And that will draw them to her. Our world is tired out by the sinfulness all around us. We long for the pure love of Jesus and Mary! She has the same optimism in the August 25, 2021 message: “Dear children! With joy I am calling all of you, little children, who have responded to my call: be joy and peace. Witness with your lives Heaven, which I am bringing to you. It is time, little children, that you be a reflection of my love for all those who do not love and whose hearts hatred has conquered. Do not forget: I am with you and intercede for all of you before my Son Jesus, that He may give you His peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (August 25, 2021) Our Lady continues her call to us to “be prayer” and to “be love” for all those who do not know Jesus. She wants us to “be joy and peace” for those whose hearts have been conquered by hatred! We can help them all to experience Our Lady’s love! This is the antidote. This is Our Lady’s great genius! She has perfected love in her heart and she gives it to us, as the cure for all the ills of our time. Let us pray: Mother, you call us to: Be prayer for all those who do not pray. Be generous and be the love of your love, so that pagans can feel that we are yours and convert to your Immaculate Heart. Be joy and peace and witness with our lives Heaven, which you are bringing to us. Be a reflection of your love for all those who do not love and whose hearts hatred has conquered. And to never forget: You are with us and intercede for all of us before your Son Jesus, that He may give us His peace. Mother we want to listen to your words, and live them.   (The Parish climbs Apparition Hill for 9 days before the Anniversary) Anniversary Novena, Day 1 June 15, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! We begin the Novena for the 41st Anniversary today! I will offer one or two messages each day, and a prayer. May we draw close to Our Lady during this time. Her presence is our hope and joy in these days! Our Lady said to us on the 40th Anniversary: “Dear children! My heart is joyful because through these years I see your love and openness to my call. Today I am calling all of you: pray with me for peace and freedom, because Satan is strong and by his deception, wants to lead away all the more hearts from my motherly heart. That is why decide for God so that it may be good for you on the earth which God gave you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (June 25, 2021) Dearest Mother, we do believe that God is sending you to save us from Satan, who wants to deceive all the more souls and lead them away from your motherly heart. We want to help you in every way we can. May we pray with you for Peace and Freedom and live a total consecration to you, dearest Mother! How to Give Oneself to Mary, Mother of Goodness, of Love and of Mercy (Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 4/19/1984) Oh my Mother! Mother of goodness, love and mercy! I love you immensely, and I offer myself to you. Through your goodness, your love, And your mercy, save me! I wish to be yours. I love you immensely And I wish that you protect me. In my heart, oh mother of goodness, Give me your goodness, So that I go to Heaven.   4 The Love which my Son showed you…   June 14, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Today we are challenged by Jesus and by Our Lady to love in the most radical way possible…to love as Jesus loves. Here are Jesus’ words: “You have heard that it was said, `You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Mt 5:43-48) I still scratch my head in wonder at this call from Jesus. How can we love our enemies? How??? But there is no way around it. We must. Jesus showed us the way. He blazed the trail. We need only follow Him. In this message Our Lady helps us as well. She is the First Disciple, and she learned very well how to be like Jesus. Her words will help us in this radical call to love… February 2, 2013 “Dear children, love is bringing me to you – the love which I desire to teach you also – real love; the love which my Son showed you when He died on the Cross out of love for you; the love which is always ready to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. How great is your love? My motherly heart is sorrowful as it searches for love in your hearts. You are not ready to submit your will to God’s will out of love. You cannot help me to have those who have not come to know God’s love to come to know it, because you do not have real love. Consecrate your hearts to me and I will lead you. I will teach you to forgive, to love your enemies and to live according to my Son. Do not be afraid for yourselves. In afflictions my Son does not forget those who love. I will be beside you. I will implore the Heavenly Father for the light of eternal truth and love to illuminate you. Pray for your shepherds so that through your fasting and prayer they can lead you in love. Dear children, mine is a big heart!   June 13, 2022 St. Anthony of Padua Dear Family of Mary! I was searching the messages and found this one given through Mirjana Soldo on March 18, 2007. It really speaks to me powerfully of how we can walk through these times of fear and menacing evil. Our Lady has come to us to save us from this evil. She has come to defeat our enemy, and she is asking for our help. She is our hope in these days. Let this message reach your heart. Try to live it every day. This is Our Lady’s battle plan! “Dear children! I come to you as a Mother with gifts. I come with love and mercy. Dear children, mine is a big heart. In it, I desire all of your hearts, purified by fasting and prayer. I desire that, through love, our hearts may triumph together. I desire that through that triumph you may see the real Truth, the real Way and the real Life. I desire that you may see my Son. Thank you.” (March 18, 2007) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!   You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him.   June 10, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! January 25, 2016 “Dear children! Also today I am calling all of you to prayer. You cannot live without prayer, because prayer is a chain which brings you closer to God. Therefore, little children, in humility of heart return to God and to His commandments so that with all of your heart you are able to say: as it is in Heaven so may it be on earth. You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him. See where Satan wants to pull you into sin and slavery. Therefore, little children, return to my heart so that I can lead you to my Son Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady speaks of freedom, because she understands that God has given each one of us freedom to choose. That power to choose, that freedom, is also our greatest danger. We can easily choose to walk away from God’s plan for our lives. (Remember Fr. Martin’s homily on trust!) St. John Paul II wrote very clearly and powerfully about this gift of freedom. Here is an excerpt from Veritatis Splendor which captures so much about our freedom and its power for good or ill: What is the ultimate source of the inner division of man? His history of sin begins when he no longer acknowledges the Lord as his Creator and himself wishes to be the one who determines, with complete independence, what is good and what is evil. You will be like God, knowing good and evil (Gen 3:5): this was the first temptation, and it is echoed in all the other temptations to which man is more easily inclined to yield as a result of the original fall. But temptations can be overcome, sins can be avoided, because together with the commandments the Lord gives us the possibility of keeping them: His eyes are on those who fear him, and he knows every deed of man. He has not commanded any one to be ungodly, and he has not given any one permission to sin (Sir 15:19-20). Keeping God’s law in particular situations can be difficult, extremely difficult, but it is never impossible. This is the constant teaching of the Church’s tradition…. Man always has before him the spiritual horizon of hope, thanks to the help of divine grace…. It is in the saving cross of Jesus, in the gift of the Holy Spirit, in the sacraments which flow forth from the pierced side of the Redeemer, that believers find the grace and the strength always to keep God’s holy law, even amid the gravest of hardships. As Saint Andrew of Crete observes, the law itself “was enlivened by grace and made to serve it in a harmonious and fruitful combination. Each element preserved its characteristics without change or confusion. In a divine manner, he turned what could be burdensome and tyrannical into what is easy to bear and a source of freedom.” Only in the mystery of Christ’s redemption do we discover the concrete possibilities of man. It would be a very serious error to conclude that the Church’s teaching is essentially only an “ideal” which must then be adapted. This is what is at stake: the reality of Christ’s redemption. Christ has redeemed us! This means that he has given us the possibility of realizing the entire truth of our being; he has set our freedom free from the domination of concupiscence. St. John Paul II – From the encyclical Veritatis Splendor The key to choosing God’s way over our own is TRUST. Remember that. Only God is trustworthy! Be it done unto me according to Thy word! June 9, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Fr. Martin, in his brilliant homily, made it completely clear to us that the most important thing we can do every day is to trust God, and do as He calls us to do. Trust God, always. Trust God, every day. Trust God, in humility. Trust God, first and last. Trust God, completely. Trust, trust, trust God!!! The best example we have of this kind of trust is Our Lady. She lived that trust perfectly. And through St. Luke she gave us the account of her encounter with the Angel Gabriel, who came to her to reveal God’s plan for her, a plan that would change the world forever. She told us the story of how she trusted God at that moment. She wanted her children to know exactly how she lived her trust in the Father, so we would have a model to follow. Here is that story: In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I have no husband?” And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1: 26-36) This conversation between Our Lady and St. Gabriel (who was speaking for God) teaches us so much about our relationship with our Creator. The Father was so respectful of Our Lady. The words He gave to Gabriel were full of respect and kindness, joy and love. This is the way God wants to talk to each of us as well. He wants to bless us! He wants to encourage us and give us His plans for us so that we will be blessed forever! The Father has a plan for each one of us. And He wants to share those plans with us. But we must listen. Our Lady encouraged us to listen in prayer so that we can hear God’s voice, His loving plan for us in this message: March 2, 2014 “Dear children, I am coming to you as a mother and I desire that in me, as in a mother, you may find your abode, consolation and rest. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, pray. Pray with humble devotion, obedience and complete trust in the Heavenly Father. Trust as I have trusted when it was said to me that I will bring the blessing of the promise. May out of your hearts, from your lips, always come forth ‘May your will be done!’ Therefore, trust and pray so that I can intercede for you before the Lord, for Him to give you the Heavenly Blessing and fill you with the Holy Spirit. Then He will be able to help all those who do not know the Lord – you, apostles of my love, will help them to call Him ‘Father’ with complete trust. Pray for your shepherds and place your trust in their blessed hands. Thank you.” Mother wants us to respond to the Father just like she did, with the words “May your will be done! Be it done unto me according to Thy word!” This is how we live out our complete trust in God, as Fr. Martin was showing us. Notice how many times Our Lady used the word, trust!! She and Fr. Martin are on the same page. Our biggest problem is trust, and our greatest solution to that problem is to trust God in all things!! The times are difficult. Now is the time to say “yes” to God with all our hearts! That is the only way we can help Jesus and Mary in this battle for souls. Here again is the link to Fr.
