Witnesses of hope!   January 9, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady has spoken about the future several times throughout these 42 years. Whenever she does, it helps me. First of all she helps me because when she speaks about the future, I realize that I have a future! The darkness of our time wants to smother the reality of our future, by making us so bound to the present, and so miserable in that present, that we forget we have a future. This is not true. We are created to live forever, and our future is vast and incredible. But only if we enter that future with God. And secondly, it helps me because Our Lady makes it clear that Jesus is our future. It is Jesus who gives us time, gives us our existence, and then redeems the time we have ruined by sin. So Jesus is my future, and that is all I need to know!! What a wonderful future we have!! Here is a message in which she tells us the truth about ourselves and our future: December 25, 2020  “Dear children! I am carrying to you little Jesus who brings you peace, Him who is the past, present and future of your existence. Little children, do not permit for your faith and hope in a better future to be extinguished, because you are chosen to be witnesses of hope in every situation. That is why I am here with Jesus that He may bless you with His peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady brings us Jesus! She helps us to encounter Him and to get to know Him. She wants us to be those who know her Son!! We can only help others if we share with them the Jesus we know. Jesus is the past, present and future of our existence!! Jesus, our safe harbor   January 8, 2024 The Baptism of the Lord Dear Family of Mary! Today Jesus begins in a sense his public ministry. He was baptized by John before a crowd of people, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him. From then on, Jesus became a beacon of hope and light for all who encountered Him. He remains that beacon for us today. He is our only way. Our Lady tells us as much in this message: August 25, 2016  “Dear children! Today I desire to share Heavenly joy with you. You, little children, open the door of your heart so that hope, peace and love, which only God gives, may grow in your heart. Little children, you are too bound to the earth and earthly things, that is why, Satan is rolling you like the wind rolls the waves of the sea. Therefore, may the chain of your life be prayer with the heart and Adoration of my Son Jesus. Give over your future to Him so that, in Him, you may be joy and an example with your lives to others. Thank you for having responded to my call.” What could Our Lady mean by “the chain of your life”? One thought is that of a boat, which is trying to dock in a safe harbor. If the boat is not chained to the moorings in the harbor, it will be buffeted and driven out to sea. But the boat that is safely moored to a dock by a chain, will remain in peace by the shore. It is too true that the world is undergoing a terrible storm of sin that is destroying lives. If the boat of our lives is not moored to the safety of Jesus, it will be blown to sea and lost in the chaos. Prayer with the heart and Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament can safely moor us to the safety of God’s love, hope, peace and love! There we are sheltered from every storm. Your children and your children’s children!   January 5, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Here again is the message Our Lady gave to us through Marija on January 1, 2024: “During the moment of the apparition, Our Lady came joyfully! She prayed over us!. And at the end, she said, ‘Thank you for having responded to my call and for praying for my intentions. You will not regret it, neither you, nor your children, nor your children’s children.’ And she blessed us all.” (January 1, 2024 Marija) For three hours, the people on Podbrdo prayed with Marija in response to Our Lady’s request. For three hour, in the rain, they held their ground. And Our Lady came to Marija with words of hope. She thanked us all for responding to her call to prayer. And she told us “You will not regret it, neither you, nor your children, nor your children’s children.” Our Lady wanted us to know that the prayer was successful! And it would have consequences for years to come. The future would be impacted by our prayer! Our Lady has come as the Queen of Peace, to help us to change the world from a place of war and hatred, violence and selfishness, into a world of peace, love, Godliness and joy. She has spoken many times of her role as Queen of Peace and how we can help her to change the future into peace. Here a three messages about that role: June 25, 2000 “Dear children! Today I call you to prayer. The one who prays is not afraid of the future. Little children do not forget, I am with you and I love you all. Thank you for having responded to my call.” First of all, we need to pray in response to Our Lady’s call. Prayer changes the way we see everything, especially the future. Prayer draws us into God’s love and plan for us. That plan is eternal happiness and peace!! No fear! October 25, 2018 ” Dear children! You have a great grace of being called to a new life through the messages which I am giving you. This, little children, is a time of grace, a time and a call to conversion for you and the future generations. Therefore, I am calling you, little children, pray more and open your heart to my Son Jesus. I am with you and love you all and bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady gives us messages so that we can begin to follow her and understand God’s plan through her. Her messages can create a new life for us! God wants us to follow Our Lady into the future! January 25, 2023 “Dear children! Pray with me for peace, because Satan wants war and hatred in hearts and peoples. Therefore, pray and sacrifice your days by fasting and penance, that God may give you peace. The future is at a crossroads, because modern man does not want God. That is why mankind is heading to perdition. You, little children, are my hope. Pray with me, that what I began in Fatima and here may be realized. Be prayer and witness peace in your surroundings, and be people of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady told us that the future was at a crossroads. We all can see it. Division and godlessness have grown out of control. But she has not left us. We are her hope. And our job is still the same, to pray with Mother Mary for her intentions. From Fatima to today, she has been with us to head off disaster and she will not leave us now. Let’s respond to her call each day, praying with her, and doing all we can to spread peace. Marija greets Our Lady, January 1, 2024   January 4, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! My heart keeps returning to the wonderful experience we all had on New Year’s Day! On that day , thousands of people joined the visionary Marija on Apparition Hill at 3:00 pm to pray. They were responding to Our Lady’s request to meet there to pray for her intentions. Marija had relayed that request to everyone present after her apparition on December 31, 2023. She said that Our Lady requested that all would climb Apparition Hill on January 1, 2024, at 3:00 pm, to pray for three hours for her intentions! This was a big request! When our team heard this announcement, we immediately asked Marija if Mary TV could stream the prayer time live, on Mary TV! She said, “Yes!” That was all it took! Our wonderful crew immediately organized three cameras, and all the streaming equipment needed to go live from Apparition Hill on Mary TV the next day! So at 3:00 pm, January 1, 2024, the live-stream of the prayer gathering appeared on our Channel on Marytv.tv! Little did we know what the next three hours would contain! Those who were connected by our live stream joined the thousands of pilgrims and villagers who had gathered on Apparition Hill. It was a sea of people!! A beautiful music ministry had assembled by the statue of Our Lady. And Marija was leading us all in prayer! We began with the Joyful Mysteries. Between each decade, we would sing with all our hearts to Our Lady! It was glorious! This rhythm would continue with all 4 sets of mysteries of the Rosary. But very soon after we started to pray, it began to rain. The forecast did not show rain, but there was rain, and lots of it!! Umbrellas went up, but no one left! You could see the people firmly resolved to stay in place, and pray with Our Lady for her intentions. It was a beautiful demonstration of trust and commitment to Jesus and Mary that day! The first hour passed, and no one budged. The rain fell in torrents. But love is stronger than rain! The second hour passed, and everyone was still in place!! Love never gives up! The third hour came, and it was time for Our Lady to appear (5:40 pm). Just before Marija stood up for the apparition, the rain stopped. Our Lady came, and Marija had a lengthy conversation with her, as all on the hill waited in silence and joy, gazing at Marija! It seemed as if time had stopped! Finally, Marija looked up into the heavens and then closed her eyes. Our Lady had gone back to Heaven. Everyone waited with anticipation to hear what Our Lady had said to us. Here is what Marija relayed to us: “During the moment of the apparition, Our Lady came joyfully! She prayed over us!. And at the end, she said, ‘Thank you for having responded to my call and for praying for my intentions. You will not regret it, neither you, nor your children, nor your children’s children.’ And she blessed us all.”  (January 1, 2024 Marija) We all felt the impact of those words. Our Lady thanked us for responding to her call!! She had asked for 3 hours of prayer, and we had responded!! Thousands in Medjugorje, and thousands more all over the world! And our gift of prayer had been accepted! Marija told us that God’s blessing would not only fall on us, but on our children and even our grandchildren! This was good news! We have a future!!! I have come here with the name ‘Queen of Peace’ because the devil wants peacelessness and war, he wants to fill your heart with fear of the future – but the future is God’s. The Most Holy Name of Jesus   January 3, 2024 Dear Family of Mary! Today we celebrate the glory of the Most Holy Name of Jesus! How many times in a day do we say the Name of Jesus? If we pray the Rosary even once, it is many times that Jesus’ name is on our lips. I believe that Jesus wants us to say His Name as much as possible. He wants to be on our minds, in our hearts, in our conversations and our prayers, and in our deepest desires. He is our love and our life! We are so blessed to be given permission to say His Name intimately and often! Remember how Jesus was named: And the Angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. And He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” (Lk 1: 30-33) Mary’s Son is great, called the Son of the Most High!! He is going to reign over the house of Jacob and indeed over the whole earth forever! And yet, we have been given the privilege to call upon Him by Name!! Wow!! Our Lady told us how important her Son’s name is in this message through Mirjana: “Dear children! Do not seek peace and happiness in vain, in the wrong places and in wrong things. Do not permit your hearts to become hard by loving vanity. Invoke the name of my Son. Receive Him in your heart. Only in the name of my Son will you experience true happiness and true peace in your heart. Only in this way will you come to know the love of God and spread it further. I am calling you to be my apostles.” (March 18, 2000) May we invoke the name of Jesus, reverently and prayerfully and often!! Three Hours with Our Lady on Apparition Hill! January 2, 2024 Sts. Basil the Great and Gregory Nazianzen Dear Family of Mary On Sunday, December 31, after her daily apparition, Maria told us that Our Lady invited everyone to climb Apparition Hill at 3:00 pm the next day to pray for three hours for Our Lady’s intentions and to welcome her when she came for Marija’s daily apparition. Word spread like wild fire throughout Medjugorje! And at 3:00 pm on New Year’s Day, Apparition Hill was covered with pilgrims and parishioners from Medjugorje! It was breathtaking!! But the best news for all of us who were not in Medjugorje was that Marija allowed Mary TV to stream the entire event! I am told there were viewers from all over the world connected through Mary TV. Mary TV had three cameras ready to capture the entire prayer time for all of us who were not in Medjugorje! It seemed that we were actually there. And we had the best seat of all!! The prayer consisted of all 4 sets of mysteries of the Rosary! And between the decades, we sang beautiful and joyful music together. Three hours went by in a flash! We were carried along in our prayer by Our Lady, who was truly present. You could feel her joy even through the internet. But the event was not easy. It rained for the first 2 and 1/2 hours, though the weather report had not predicted rain. It rained very hard. Everyone was soaked by the end. But when it was time for Our Lady to appear, the rain subsided. Our Lady came as usual, at 5:40 pm. And we could view Marija as she encountered Our Lady. Marija was radiant and at peace! After Our Lady departed Marija described their encounter: During the moment of the apparition, Our Lady came joyfully! She prayed over us!. And at the end, she said, “Thank you for having responded to my call and for praying for my intentions. You will not regret it, neither you, nor your children, nor your children’s children.” And she blessed us all.”  (January 1, 2024 Marija) I could feel the blessing from Our Lady even from so far away! It was a joyous and hope-filled time of prayer with such a wonderful gift at the end. Our Lady came!!! And she blessed us!! And she thanked us!!! And she told us that the grace we received would not only be for us, but for our children and our grandchildren! Imagine that!!! Today we honor and praise Our Lady, Mary the Mother of God! The Father chose her from all of creation to be the Mother of His Son, Jesus. We cannot fathom the wonder of Mary, chosen to be the Mother of Christ. But we can contemplate it. It is very helpful for us to allow the Holy Spirit to expand our minds to begin the glimmer this heavenly reality. Here is a short explanation from Magnificat that is very good for us to ponder: The Greatness of the Mother of God Our Lady is the Mother of God because Jesus Christ who was born of her is God. To Jesus Christ she gave what every mother gives to the child that is born of her, and for which she is called the child’s mother. Our Lady is the Mother of God just as truly, as fully, as literally, and exactly as every other mother is the mother of her child. By reason of her divine motherhood and the special relation in which this places her to the Blessed Trinity, Our Lady was necessarily a creature apart and unique from the very first moment of her existence. To make her worthy of her marvelous destiny in every way, God so created her soul that from the first instant of its existence it was filled with grace. Our Lady then, by this special intervention of God, applying to her by anticipation the merits of the Passion yet to come, was conceived untouched by the sinful legacy of the Fall. As Our Lady was thus unique in her creation in grace, so is her place and role unique in the glory of heaven. Thanks to her actual kinship with God according to his human nature, there is a union between Our Lady and God that no other saint can come to, and because of this union her power of intercession is unique. So much so that it is the common teaching of theologians that God has so disposed things that whatever graces are granted to mankind are granted through Our Lady’s intercession…. We do not adore Our Lady, but the honor we give her is greater than the honor we give the saints. “The Blessed Virgin,” says Saint Thomas Aquinas, “from the fact that she is the Mother of God, derives a dignity that is in a way infinite from the infinite good that is God. And in this sense just as there cannot exist anything better than God so there could not be made anything better than herself.” Between this most glorious of all God’s creatures and the rest of us there is moreover this special link: In a very real sense, she is the Mother of us all. For Our Lady is the Mother of him whom Holy Scripture calls the firstborn among many brethren (Rom 8:29). And he, when dying, giving her to be the Mother of the beloved disciple Saint John, foretold and created her role as Mother of all Christians. Such are the reasons and the origin of the immense place Our Lady occupies in the daily life of every Catholic. – Monsignor Philip Hughes (Magnificat – January 2024) And here is a message from Our Lady in which she shared about her motherhood with Mirjana: February 2, 2020 “Dear children, by the act of the decision and love of God, I am chosen to be the Mother of God and your mother. But also by my will and my immeasurable love for the Heavenly Father and my complete trust in Him, my body was the chalice of the God-man. I was in the service of truth, love and salvation, as I am now among you to call you, my children, apostles of my love, to be carriers of truth; to call you to spread His words, the words of salvation, by your will and love for my Son: that with your actions you may show, to all those who have not come to know my Son, His love. You will find strength in the Eucharist – my Son who feeds you with His Body and strengthens you with His Blood. My children, fold your hands [in prayer] and look at the Cross in silence. In this way, you are drawing faith to be able to transmit it; you are drawing truth to be able to discern; you are drawing love that you may know to love truly. My children, apostles of my love, fold your hands [in prayer], look at the Cross. Only in the Cross is salvation. Thank you.” I know this is a lot to read, but on this day, we can give Our Lady the time it takes, to get to know her better! She is Our Mother too!! The parents of Jesus took Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord December 29, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Our Gospel for today is the account of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple. Let’s read the account. It is important to listen to everything that Simeon says about Jesus. Simeon speaks prophetic words to about Jesus and about Mary. He has been praying for the coming of the Messiah for many years, and knows at once it is Jesus! Gospel according to Luke 2:22-35 When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, the parents of Jesus took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord, and to offer the sacrifice of a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons, in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord. Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying: “Lord, now let your servant go in peace; your word has been fulfilled: my own eyes have seen the salvation which you prepared in the sight of every people, a light to reveal you to the nations and the glory of your people Israel.”  The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted (and you yourself a sword will pierce) so that the thoughts of many hearts may be ­revealed.”  The Gospel of the Lord. Our Lady presented Jesus to Simeon long ago. Simeon confirmed everything about Jesus that the Gabriel had told Mary at the Annunciation. It was a powerful moment for Our Lady. Now she is bringing Jesus to us! In Medjugorje she presents Jesus to all of us on Christmas Day. But since we are not prophets like Simeon, she has to educate us about her Son. She told us early on, in 1985, to glorify Jesus and His Nativity. This is how we begin to understand Him: December 12, 1985 “Dear children! For Christmas my invitation is that together we glorify Jesus. I present Him to you in a special way on that day and my invitation to you is that on that day we glorify Jesus and His nativity. Dear children, on that day pray still more and think more about Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” We are still in the Christmas time. Let’s glorify Jesus and His Nativity today, and pray and think more about Jesus today! We need Him so badly!! Pray and glorify the Lord!! St. Simeon, pray for us! Seek Jesus in the silence of your hearts… December 28, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Dear children! I am carrying my Son Jesus to you to fill your hearts with peace, because He is peace. Little children, seek Jesus in the silence of your heart that He be born anew. The world needs Jesus, therefore seek Him through prayer, because He gives Himself daily to each of you. (December 25, 2023) We are approaching a new year. What better way is there to enter a new year, than with Jesus in our hearts? What more will we need for 2024 than the peace of Jesus in our hearts? In 2024 what more does our world need than Jesus? Jesus is the only answer for our personal lives, for our families, for our cities, for our countries, and for the world. All other solutions are faulty. Only Jesus holds the key to peace, to hope and to love. May we do as Our Lady asks us to do: Seek Jesus in the silence of our hearts… Allow Jesus to be born anew in our hearts… Ask Jesus to fill our hearts with peace… Seek and receive Jesus through prayer… Let us pray: Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Lord, have mercy on us.
