Prayer for peace and good deeds   November 27, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Here, again, is the message from Our Lady of Medjugorje for November 25, 2023: Dear children! May this time be interwoven with prayer for peace and good deeds, so that the joy of the expectation of the King of Peace may be felt in your hearts, families and in the world which does not have hope. Thank you for having responded to my call. (November 25, 2023) Our Lady used a word I have not heard her say before: interwoven. “May this time be interwoven with prayer for peace and good deeds…” This message is given just before Advent and so we can assume she is telling us how to live this time of Advent. In the message she used an image that I am sure she was well acquainted with during her life on earth. Women in the Middle East worked very hard. They must have had to weave cloth to make clothing. If they were poor they could not buy cloth, so they would have to do the weaving themselves. I suspect Our Lady knew how to weave. She knows that the threads for the weaving must interlock in such a way so that the cloth will be strong, tight, and have no gaps. She wants us to weave together the threads of our life so that what we do will be strong, tight and have no gaps. The main threads she mentioned to us are prayer for peace and good deeds. These threads in our life must fit together and make a strong cloth. Prayer for peace is essential for the whole world right now. All men need peace in order to live and grow properly. Prayers for peace are essential. And good deeds create peace where we live. Our generosity, service of others, and kindness can give peace to our neighbors. So with these two threads we can make peace a reality! May we find our way to interweave our prayer for peace and our good deeds this Advent, as Mother has asked!! May it be so! You, little children, are my extended hands!   November 24, 2023 St. Andrew Dung-Lac Dear Family of Mary! As we wait for tomorrow’s message from Our Lady, let’s review the message we received last month. It is a very serious message, one that requires our full attention and response: October 25, 2023  “Dear children! Winds of evil, hatred and peacelessness are blowing through the earth to destroy lives. That is why the Most High sent me to you, to lead you towards the way of peace and unity with God and people. Give thanks!   November 23, 2023 St. Clement I, St. Columban, Blessed Miguel Augustin Pro And Thanksgiving Day in the USA Dear Family of Mary! Today is a special day in my country, the United States. It is Thanksgiving Day which is a day set aside to thank God for all his blessings to our nation. Our Lady has taught us to give thanks as well. She wants us to live our whole lives in thanksgiving to God for even the tiniest gift. Let’s let her words guide us: August 25, 1988 “Dear children! Today I invite you all to rejoice in the life which God gives you. Little children, rejoice in God, the Creator, because He has created you so wonderfully. Pray that your life be joyful thanksgiving which flows out of your heart like a river of joy. Little children, give thanks unceasingly for all that you possess, for each little gift which God has given you, so that a joyful blessing always comes down from God upon your life. Modernism wants to enter into your thoughts and steal from you the joy of prayer and of meeting with Jesus. That is why, my dear little children, renew prayer in your families, so that my motherly heart may be joyful as in the first days, when I had chosen you, and day and night prayer resounded — and Heaven was not silent but abundantly bestowed peace and blessing on this place of grace. The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary   November 21, 2023 The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dear Family of Mary! Today’s Memorial presents to us the moment that Our Lady was presented at the temple, where she would pray and serve as a young girl. Though it is not part of Scripture, it is well accepted as an important event in Our Lady’s life. How hard it must have been for Mary to go and live in the Temple, which was a public place where men dominated the scene. She was leaving her parents for the first time, and putting herself in the hands of strangers. I can only imagine her feelings. But, she was also going to live where God Himself dwelt. This was the place where her people could come to pray and encounter the Lord. Imagine the joy for Our Lady, to be in the presence of God day and night!! Mary knew how to raise her heart toward Heaven. She constantly felt the love of God in her heart. She was in complete union with the Lord. And so it is not a surprise that she wants us to have that same union. In this message from August 25, 2023, she leads us to that union of heart to Heart: August 25, 2023 “Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling you to prayer with the heart. May your hearts, little children, be raised in prayer towards Heaven, so that your heart may feel the God of love who heals you and loves you with immeasurable love. That is why I am with you, to lead you on the way of conversion of heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May we imitate our Mother by practicing prayer until we feel the God of love in our hearts and are healed and blessed by Him. Be witnesses of love and peace…   November 20, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! July 25, 2023 “Dear children! In this time of grace, in which the Most High sends me to you to love you and guide you on the way of conversion, offer your prayers and sacrifices for all those who are far away and have not come to know God’s love. You, little children, be witnesses of love and peace for all peaceless hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady asks us, in this message, to receive all the graces she is sending us with the desire to then turn and share those graces with those who are “far away and have not come to know God’s love.” She wants us to be open handed with all the good that she offers us. Through our prayer and sacrifice and witness, we can share what we have been given in Medjugorje. This is a great blessing for us, if we do it. We will be blessed by God for giving away what we have received. May we learn each day how to receive the graces of Medjugorje, and in turn share them with those we meet. To be your refuge!   November 17, 2023 St. Elizabeth of Hungary Dear Family of Mary! June 25, 2023 “Dear children! The Most High permits me to be among you – to pray for you, to be a Mother to you and to be your refuge. Little children, I am calling you: return to God and to prayer and God will bless you abundantly. Thank you for having responded to my call.” This message was given on the 42nd Anniversary of the Apparitions in Medjugorje. For 42 years, Our Mother had been coming to Medjugorje every day! For 42 years Our Lady had been giving us messages, teaching us how to grow in holiness. 42 years! This is amazing! Her presence in Medjugorje has been life changing for millions of people. She has prayed for each one of us, and miracles have happened. She has Mothered us! We truly feel her care for us. Going to Medjugorje, we see her motherly hand in all the details of our pilgrimage. Mother Mary is our Mother. And she is our refuge! Where else can we turn? She is our safety in a world in turmoil. She is our resting place, as our lives grow more and more demanding. Mary is our refuge. And her loving presence continues. We are not abandoned. And her call has not changed either! “Little children, I am calling you: return to God and to prayer and God will bless you abundantly.” Her main duty is to lead us to God. Go into Nature!   November 16, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! May 25, 2023  “Dear children! I am calling you to go into nature and to pray for the Most High to speak to your heart and that you may feel the power of the Holy Spirit so as to witness the love which God has for every creature. I am with you and intercede for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Going into Nature is going into reality. Nature is what God gave to us at creation. Nature is truth. Nature comes from God’s infinite love and His equally infinite intelligence. Nature reflects God’s design for our wellbeing. When we go into Nature, we encounter God. We may not know it, but we do. That is one reason Medjugorje is such a wonderful pilgrimage site. It is a simple place, with simple roads and mountain paths, where you must interface with Nature constantly. This is Our Lady’s design. She wants us to see God in His brilliance through Nature. We encounter Him there and are changed. Our Lady tells us in this message to go into Nature, and to pray with our hearts to God, so that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit and experience the love of God for all creatures. She knows that in our technological age, we spend most of our waking hours in front of computer screens and in artificial environments. We can become spiritually sick if we spend too much time in this manmade reality. Go into Nature!! Go!! Pray to God outside in the open air, with trees and flowers and sun. Go into Nature! Here is a prayer written by St. Francis that may help us: The Canticle of the Sun Most High, all-powerful, good Lord, Yours are the praises, the glory, the honor, and all blessings. To You alone, Most High, do they belong, and no man is worthy to mention Your name. Praised be You, my Lord, with all your creatures; especially Brother Sun, who is the day, and through whom You give us light. And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendor, and bears a likeness to You, Most High One. Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars; in heaven You formed them clear and precious and beautiful. Praised be You, my Lord, through Brother Wind, and through the air, cloudy and serene, and every kind of weather through which You give sustenance to Your creatures. Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Water, which is very useful and humble and precious and chaste. Praised be You, my Lord, through Brother Fire, through whom You light the night; and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong. Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Mother Earth, who sustains us and governs us and who produces varied fruits with colored flowers and herbs. Praised be You, my Lord, through those who give pardon for Your love, and bear infirmity and tribulation. Blessed are those who endure in peace for by You, Most High, they shall be crowned. Praised be You, my Lord, through our Sister Bodily Death, from whom no living man can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin. Blessed are those whom death will find in Your most holy will, for the second death shall do them no harm. Praise and bless my Lord, and give Him thanks, and serve Him with great humility. Amen. Be carriers of the peace and joy of the Risen Jesus!   November 15, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! April 25, 2023 “Dear children! I am calling all of you to be carriers of the peace and joy of the risen Jesus for all those who are far from prayer; that the love of Jesus, through your lives, may transform them to a new life of conversion and holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In the storms of our present time, – cultural storms, political storms, intellectual storms, religious storms, and familial storms- we must be carriers of the peace and joy of the risen Jesus. We must be like Jesus, who stood up in the boat being tossed by the waves and the wind, and commanded the storm to cease. We must carry Jesus into the storms of our time, and simply make Him present to all those being inundated by the lies and sins that abound. Only Jesus can stop the storms of hatred, fear, lies and violence that plague the people of our day. Only Jesus can quell the storms of disbelief. May we carry Him in our hearts, in our minds, in our actions and in our words, to all those in need of Him, that they may be transformed by Jesus into holiness. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
