June 5, 2023 Reflection – Be carriers of peace!

Be Carriers of Peace!   June 5, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady has often asked us to become “carriers”! She has called us in her messages to be carriers of peace, carriers of her messages, carriers of the Risen Jesus, carriers of love, carriers of the Gospel in your families, carriers of God’s hope, carriers of the Good News, carriers of Light, carriers of the joy of the Risen One, carriers of Truth, etc. What does it mean to be a carrier? Merriam-Webster has this brief definition: 1. : one that carries : bearer, messenger. A carrier is someone who carries something. It could be something they own, or something they are carrying for another. But they carry it from one place to another. And the words that follow, “bearer, messenger” seem to complete the meaning. A carrier is one who bears something from one place to another, or even better a messenger is one who carries a message to someone else. Clearly a carrier is someone who holds something they have received and takes it to others. Our Lady needs us to be those who receive peace and carry it to others, who receive her messages and carry them to others, who receive the Risen Jesus and carry Him to other, those who receive the Gospel and carry it to others, those who receive hope, light, and Good News and carry it to others! This is a the work of every Christian, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and His Love with all we meet by carrying that love, peace, light, hope, joy, and good news to others. If we receive these things but we don’t share them with anyone, if we hide these gifts and graces, they will wither in our hands. We must carry them to all we meet! Our Lady told us: October 25, 1997 “Dear children! Also today I am with you and I call all of you to renew yourselves by living my messages. Little children, may prayer be life for you and may you be an example to others. Little children, I desire for you to become carriers of peace and of God’s joy to today’s world without peace. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray! I am with you and I bless you with my motherly peace. Thank you for having responded to my call.” We need to become carriers. How can we become carriers? By living Mary’s messages, which are given to us as formation in the spiritual life, a formation that trains us to be carriers of the Kingdom! Prayer, Fasting, the Holy Scriptures, Confession, and the Holy Eucharist! The Five Stones prepare us to be carriers of the Kingdom to others. Our Lady’s messages are the key. Read and re-read them, and live them!! Then we will carry them to others through our words, our actions, and our hearts! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2023

June 2, 2023 Reflection – “I am here…”

Mirjana Soldo gazes at Our Lady during an apparition at the Blue Cross (several years ago). Such love!! I am here!   June 2, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady gave us a beautiful message 10 years ago on September 2, 2013. In that message she assures us that she is with us. She is near to us, accompanying us on our way, walking with us and praying for us that we will have the strength and courage to live the Gospel, the way of her Son. In Medjugorje, pilgrims experience the presence of Our Lady in a profound way. But it is also a subtle and quiet way. She wraps us with her mantle of love and protection and we begin to relax like a baby that is wrapped in a soft blanket and held tightly in the mother’s arms. This is what happens to us in Medjugorje. We experience the peace of a child with his mother. It is so healing!! Prayerfully read this message and let Mother wrap you in her mantle of love. She wants to comfort us and pray for us to be healed, even if we are not in Medjugorje!! September 2, 2013 “Dear children, I love you all. All of you, all of my children, all of you are in my heart. All of you have my motherly love, and I desire to lead all of you to come to know God’s joy. This is why I am calling you. I need humble apostles who, with an open heart, will accept the Word of God and help others to comprehend the meaning of their life along side God’s word. To be able to do this my children, through prayer and fasting, you must learn to listen with the heart and to learn to keep submitting yourselves. You must learn to keep rejecting everything that distances you from God’s word and to yearn only for that which draws you closer to it. Do not be afraid. I am here. You are not alone. I am imploring the Holy Spirit to renew and strengthen you. I am imploring the Holy Spirit that, as you help others, you too may be healed. I am imploring Him that, through Him, you may be God’s children and my apostles.” May it be so, may we be God’s children and Mother Mary’s apostles! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! May 31, 2023 Reflection – The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary!   May 31, 2023 The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Dear Family of Mary! Today we celebrate the Second Joyful Mystery of the Rosary, that blessed day when Our Lady traveled to the Hill Country to visit her kinswoman, Elizabeth! The Angel Gabriel had told Mary that Elizabeth had conceived in her old age, and that she was in the sixth month. “For nothing is impossible for God!” This great news was a confirmation for Mary of her own call to be the Mother of Jesus. These two courageous women met and the Holy Spirit fell upon them in power and great joy!! Little St. John the Baptist was also anointed with the Holy Spirit and leaped for joy!! We should bask in the joy of this event, and let the Holy Spirit fall upon us as well! Read these anointed words from the Luke’s Gospel, and receive the Holy Spirit! Luke 1:39-56 Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;/ my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,/ for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant./ From this day all generations will call me blessed:/ the Almighty has done great things for me,/ and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him/ in every generation./ He has shown the strength of his arm,/ he has scattered the proud in their conceit./ He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,/ and has lifted up the lowly./ He has filled the hungry with good things,/ and the rich he has sent away empty./ He has come to the help of his servant Israel/ for he has remembered his promise of mercy,/ the promise he made to our fathers,/ to Abraham and his children for ever.” Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home. Come Holy Spirit!!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2023

May 30, 2023 Reflection – I am calling you to go into nature…

“I am calling you to go into nature…” May 30, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! “Dear children! I am calling you to go into nature and to pray for the Most High to speak to your heart and that you may feel the power of the Holy Spirit so as to witness the love which God has for every creature. I am with you and intercede for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (May 25, 2023) Our Lady has often spoken about the importance of going out into nature, of spending time in the natural world that God created for us. We live in a scientific age, and we may think that all the trees and plants and animals evolved randomly. But we believe that God designed all Creation for His own glory and to provide for us. It is really important that we have the right understanding of creation. With that right understanding, we will see God’s love everywhere, and place all our trust in Him!! Here is a chapter from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This is a good way to begin to understand the glory and providence of creation. Nature will speak about God to us!! (Here is the link to the chapter from the Vatican Website if that is easier for you to read. Also the footnotes will be available: https://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P1A.HTM THE VISIBLE WORLD 337 God himself created the visible world in all its richness, diversity and order. Scripture presents the work of the Creator symbolically as a succession of six days of divine “work”, concluded by the “rest” of the seventh day.204 On the subject of creation, the sacred text teaches the truths revealed by God for our salvation,205 permitting us to “recognize the inner nature, the value and the ordering of the whole of creation to the praise of God.”206 338 Nothing exists that does not owe its existence to God the Creator. the world began when God’s word drew it out of nothingness; all existent beings, all of nature, and all human history are rooted in this primordial event, the very genesis by which the world was constituted and time begun.207 339 Each creature possesses its own particular goodness and perfection. For each one of the works of the “six days” it is said: “and God saw that it was good.” “By the very nature of creation, material being is endowed with its own stability, truth and excellence, its own order and laws.”208 Each of the various creatures, willed in its own being, reflects in its own way a ray of God’s infinite wisdom and goodness. Man must therefore respect the particular goodness of every creature, to avoid any disordered use of things which would be in contempt of the Creator and would bring disastrous consequences for human beings and their environment. 340 God wills the interdependence of creatures. the sun and the moon, the cedar and the little flower, the eagle and the sparrow: the spectacle of their countless diversities and inequalities tells us that no creature is self-sufficient. Creatures exist only in dependence on each other, to complete each other, in the service of each other. 341 The beauty of the universe: the order and harmony of the created world results from the diversity of beings and from the relationships which exist among them. Man discovers them progressively as the laws of nature. They call forth the admiration of scholars. the beauty of creation reflects the infinite beauty of the Creator and ought to inspire the respect and submission of man’s intellect and will. 342 The hierarchy of creatures is expressed by the order of the “six days”, from the less perfect to the more perfect. God loves all his creatures209 and takes care of each one, even the sparrow. Nevertheless, Jesus said: “You are of more value than many sparrows”, or again: “of how much more value is a man than a sheep!”210 343 Man is the summit of the Creator’s work, as the inspired account expresses by clearly distinguishing the creation of man from that of the other creatures.211 344 There is a solidarity among all creatures arising from the fact that all have the same Creator and are all ordered to his glory: May you be praised, O Lord, in all your creatures, especially brother sun, by whom you give us light for the day; he is beautiful, radiating great splendor, and offering us a symbol of you, the Most High. . . May you be praised, my Lord, for sister water, who is very useful and humble, precious and chaste. May you be praised, my Lord, for sister earth, our mother, who bears and feeds us, and produces the variety of fruits and dappled flowers and grasses. . . Praise and bless my Lord, give thanks and serve him in all humility.212 345 The sabbath – the end of the work of the six days. the sacred text says that “on the seventh day God finished his work which he had done”, that the “heavens and the earth were finished”, and that God “rested” on this day and sanctified and blessed it.213 These inspired words are rich in profitable instruction: 346 In creation God laid a foundation and established laws that remain firm, on which the believer can rely with confidence, for they are the sign and pledge of the unshakeable faithfulness of God’s covenant.214 For his part man must remain faithful to this foundation, and respect the laws which the Creator has written into it. 347 Creation was fashioned with a view to the sabbath and therefore for the worship and adoration of God. Worship is inscribed in the order of creation.215 As the rule of St. Benedict says, nothing should take precedence over “the work of God”, that is, solemn worship.216 This indicates the right order of human concerns. 348 The sabbath is at the heart of Israel’s law. To keep the commandments is to correspond to the wisdom and the will of God as expressed in his work of creation. 349 The eighth day. But for us a new day has dawned: the day of Christ’s Resurrection. the seventh day completes the first creation. the eighth day begins the new creation. Thus, the work of creation culminates in the greater work of redemption. the first creation finds its meaning and its summit in the new creation in Christ, the splendor of which surpasses tat of the first creation.217 “I am calling you to go into nature and to pray for the Most High to speak to your heart and that you may feel the power of the Holy Spirit” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! May 29, 2023 Reflection – Mary, Mother of the Church

The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church May 29, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Jesus gave us His Mother as He died on the cross. This final act shows us His total love for us. He brought us into His family by giving us His Mother as our Mother. We can only be in awe at such a gift!! Here is that moment, that gift, from the Gospel of John: But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Mag’dalene. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. (John19: 25-27) On this feast day we celebrate the gift of Mary as our Mother, as the Mother of the whole church. She spoke to us about her role as Mother of the Church in this message. Let’s take in her words today, and let them mold us and bless us!: June 2, 2016 “Dear children, as the Mother of the Church, as your mother, I am smiling as I look at you: how you are coming to me, how you are gathering around me, how you are seeking me. My comings among you are proof of how much Heaven loves you. They indicate to you the way to eternal life, to salvation. My apostles, you who strive to have a pure heart and to have my Son in it, you are on the good way. You who are seeking my Son are seeking the good way. He left many signs of His love. He left hope. It is easy to find Him if you are ready for sacrifice and penance – if you have patience, mercy and love for your neighbors. Many of my children do not see and do not hear. They do not accept my words and my work yet through me, my Son calls everyone. His Spirit illuminates all of my children in the light of the Heavenly Father, in the unity of Heaven and Earth, in mutual love – because love invokes love and makes works more important than words. Therefore, my apostles, pray for your Church, love it and do works of love. No matter how betrayed or wounded, it is here because it comes from the Heavenly Father. Pray for your shepherds so that in them you may see the greatness of the love of my Son. Thank you.” May we cherish the Catholic Church, our Mother here on earth. No matter the trials we face, Jesus will stand by His Church, and Mary with Him. We are in good hands! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2023

May 27, 2023 Reflection – Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 9

Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 9 May 27, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 9 Our Lady prays to the Holy Spirit for us: June 25, 2002 “Dear children! Today I pray for you and with you that the Holy Spirit may help you and increase your faith, so that you may accept even more the messages that I am giving you here in this holy place. Little children, comprehend that this is a time of grace for each of you; and with me, little children, you are secure. I desire to lead you all on the way of holiness. Live my messages and put into life every word that I am giving you. May they be precious to you because they come from Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In this message, Our Lady tells us she is praying for us and with us that the Holy Spirit may help us and increase our faith, so that we will be able to accept even more the messages she is giving us in Medjugorje, this holy place!! She is asking her great Spouse, the Holy Spirit, to anoint us, open our minds and increase our faith, so we can understand what she is saying to us in her messages. She needs His help and so do we!! Certainly Our Lady receives these messages from the Father and Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. She then gives them to us through her visionaries. But the process isn’t finished until we receive the messages with open hearts, anointed and ready to receive them in the power of the Holy Spirit!! Only with the help of the Holy Spirit can we accept the messages more deeply. Our Lady, the Queen of Peace, has been with us now for 42 years, giving us messages from her heart, messages of faith, hope, love, peace, joy, truth, correction and consolation. She has faithfully spoken to us through her visionaries, desiring that we become part of the great plan for the world that God has been enacting through her. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us and increase our faith, so that we can accept and live Our Lady’s messages more deeply than ever before in this time of grace. The world needs Our Lady of Medjugorje, and we are her messengers, those who live her messages with the heart, who listen to the Holy Spirit and do that which He inspires us to do! Tomorrow is Pentecost!! May we receive a great outpouring of grace from the Father! Come, Holy Spirit! The Paraclete, the Fount of Love (A prayer by St. John Henry Newman) My God, I adore You, as the Third Person of the Ever-Blessed Trinity, under the name and designation of Love. You are that Living Love, wherewith the Father and the Son love each other. And You are the Author of supernatural love in our hearts. “Fons vivus, ignis, charitas.” (Fount of life, fire and love!) As a fire You came down from heaven on the day of Pentecost; and as a fire You burn away the dross of sin and vanity in the heart and light up the pure flame of devotion and affection. It is You who unite heaven and earth by showing to us the glory and beauty of the Divine Nature, and making us love what is in Itself so winning and transporting. I adore You, O uncreated and everlasting Fire, by which our souls live, by which alone they are made fit for heaven. Amen Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit: O Lord Jesus Christ, Who, before ascending into heaven, didst promise to send the Holy Ghost to finish Thy work in the souls of Thy Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me, that He may perfect in my soul the work of Thy grace and Thy love. Grant me: the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Thy divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with Thee, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God, and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Thy true disciples and animate me in all things with Thy Spirit. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2023

May 26, 2023 Reflection- Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 8

Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 8   May 26, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 8 Our Lady speaks about the Spirit working in our families: April 25, 2005 “Dear children! Also today, I call you to renew prayer in your families. By prayer and the reading of Sacred Scripture, may the Holy Spirit, who will renew you, enter into your families. In this way, you will become teachers of the faith in your family. By prayer and your love, the world will set out on a better way and love will begin to rule in the world. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady tells us in this message that if we renew prayer in our families, if we read Scripture in our families, the Holy Spirit will come and will renew our families!! I have never thought of this before. It is a tremendous thing to invite the Holy Spirit into our families. What a welcome guest!! The Holy Spirit can do everything we cannot. He can transform our children, and our marriages! I remember how difficult it was to begin prayer in our family. When we first discovered Our Lady of Medjugorje, we were not praying the Rosary as a family, and family prayer was difficult. But when we began to read our Lady’s messages, family prayer began to take shape. We prayed the Holy Rosary and read Scripture. It was really hard work for Denis and me. But it did pay off. We began to see the signs of life in our children. Now, family prayer is not magic. Our children had to find each their own way with God. And it has not been easy. But I do see the Holy Spirit’s hand in their lives, and in Denis and my life as well. Family prayer is such a beautiful gift to give your spouse and your children. It is a life boat for each member of the family. It is a way of inscribing in each one’s heart that God exists and that He wants to be near them. Family prayer is a work of the Holy Spirit, bringing life and joy! Our Lady knows what she is talking about! She and Joseph and Jesus must have prayed together each day. Imagine that!! And here is her amazing promise: “By prayer and your love, the world will set out on a better way and love will begin to rule in the world.”Through our decision to pray, the Holy Spirit will build prayer and love in our families, and the world will set out on a better way, one family at a time. It is the only way. One family at a time! Dearest Mother, please help us to begin or strengthen our family prayer, so that the Holy Spirit will come into our family and by our prayer and love, the world will set out on a better way and love will begin to rule in the world! The Paraclete, the Fount of Love (A prayer by St. John Henry Newman) My God, I adore You, as the Third Person of the Ever-Blessed Trinity, under the name and designation of Love. May 25, 2023 Reflection – Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 7

Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 7   May 25, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 7 Our Lady speaks about the Spirit’s wisdom for each of us: May 25, 2001 “Dear children! At this time of grace, I call you to prayer. Little children, you work much but without God’s blessing. Bless and seek the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead you at this time so that you may comprehend and live in the grace of this time. Convert, little children, and kneel in the silence of your hearts. Put God in the center of your being so that, in that way, you can witness in joy the beauty that God continually gives in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady tells us that we need the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead us during the time we are living in. Why? We need to comprehend what God is doing in our day, and cooperate with Him in what He is doing!! The grace of this time is unique. God’s plan moves apace, and we can either move with it or oppose it. It is up to us! How do we discover the grace of this time? Convert, little children, and kneel in the silence of your hearts. We must convert, which is turning towards God and away from our own preoccupations. To turn towards God is only possible if we kneel – which means we recognize God is our Lord and Creator, and He alone has the way to life. Then we wait in silence, in our hearts, for the Holy Spirit to show us what the grace of our time is. Wait and pray!! That is the way to discover the grace of this time! “Put God in the center of your being so that, in that way, you can witness in joy the beauty that God continually gives in your life.” Once we have turned towards God anew, we will begin to see the grace of this time through the Holy Spirit’s inspiration! He will show us the joy and beauty that God is giving to us. This kind of sight is wisdom. Come, Holy Spirit, and help us to seek your wisdom, so that you will lead us in this time of grace! We want to convert and in the silence of our hearts, choose life! The Paraclete, the Fount of Love (A prayer by St. John Henry Newman) My God, I adore You, as the Third Person of the Ever-Blessed Trinity, under the name and designation of Love. May 24, 2023 Reflection – Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 6

Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 6   May 24, 2023 Dear Family of Mary!Novena to the Holy Spirit, Day 6 Our Lady speaks about the Spirit’s plan for each of us: May 25, 1998 “Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer and sacrifice, to prepare yourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Little children, this is a time of grace and so, again, I call you to decide for God the Creator. Allow Him to transform and change you. May your heart be prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In this message, Our Lady makes it very clear that we need to be led by the Holy Spirit into the plan that the Father has for each one of us. We have been created by God to be a gift! Our life is a gift to us! And who we are as a person is a gift to our families, our communities and our world. Each one of us has been given a certain array of qualities and abilities that shape how we can be a gift for others. But we have also been given free will! So it is important that we seek the plan that God has for each one of us, so that we can be that gift of love, just like Jesus was. The Holy Spirit can lead us in that process, that plan for our lives, if we ask Him to come and guide us. But we must pray, and prepare ourselves, as Our Lady says, for the Holy Spirit to speak to us about it! He will speak! He comes to dwell in our hearts, and can become our most welcome guest, the one who travels with us on the road to holiness and love. The Holy Spirit knows that plan for our lives, and He can lead us on “the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life” if we ask Him to do it! Jesus ascended so that the Holy Spirit could come and do just that! He will come to show us the plan for our life! “Fons vivus, ignis, charitas.” (Fount of life, fire and love!) Grant me: the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Thy divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with Thee, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God, and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Thy true disciples and animate me in all things with Thy Spirit. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2023
