March 18, 2022 Reflection – A Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord – Day 3

A Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord – Day 3 March 18, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for the Annunciation, Day 3: Mary is the new Eve. She said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done unto me according to thy word” (Luke 1:38).With these words of Mary, the Handmaid of the Lord, a new world began. (Fr. Slavko Barbaric. “Give Me Your Wounded Heart”.) Our Lady says to us: September 25, 2002 “Dear children! Also in this peaceless time, I call you to prayer. Little children, pray for peace so that in the world every person would feel love towards peace. Only when the soul finds peace in God, it feels content and love will begin to flow in the world. And in a special way, little children, you are called to live and witness peace – peace in your hearts and families – and, through you, peace will also begin to flow in the world. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Let us pray: The Angelus Prayer V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary… V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord. R. Be it done to me according to thy word. Hail Mary. . . V. And the Word was made flesh. R. And dwelt among us. Hail Mary. . . V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen. (Please add your own prayers here: the Magnificat, the Rosary, the Memorare…) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 17, 2022 Reflection – A Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord – Day 2

A Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord – Day 2 March 16, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Novena for the Annunciation, Day 2: Mary is the new Eve. She said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done unto me according to thy word” (Luke 1:38). With these words of Mary, the Handmaid of the Lord, a new world began. The first woman, Eve, did not fulfill God’s plan in her life. She sinned, and through sin man rejected God and His plans. Through sin, man preferred his own will, and rejected God’s will. Mary Brought healing to a world which was hurt by the disobedience of our first parents. It was possible because Christ, the new Adam, accepted the will of the Father and entered the world to save the world. He entered the world through Mary, the one who was the humble and obedient handmaid of the Lord. Therefore, the deepest meaning of the feast of the Annunciation stems not just from the fact that Christ, the Word Divine, became man for us by His Incarnation in the womb of the Virgin Mary, but even more, that through Mary’s surrender to God’s will a new history of salvation began. (Fr. Slavko Barbaric. “Give me your wounded Heart”.) October 2, 1986 “Dear children! Today again I am calling you to pray. You, dear children, are not able to understand how great the value of prayer is as long as you yourselves do not say: ‘now is the time for prayer, now nothing else is important to me, now not one person is important to me but God.’ Dear children, consecrate yourselves to prayer with a special love so that God will be able to render graces back to you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The Angelus Prayer V. March 16, 2022 Reflection – A Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord

A Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord March 16, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Today we begin a Novena for the Annunciation of the Lord. We want to prepare through prayer for this most incredible Feast. I think that the best prayer that we could pray to prepare for the Annunciation would be “The Angelus”! This prayer is so very ancient! And it says everything we need to say to honor Mary for her role in allowing Jesus to become man. It captures the great mystery of it all so simply! So let’s pray the Angelus prayer together each day! Denis and I will pray it during the Daily Rosary. But I suggest praying The Angelus often throughout the day, and praying the Rosary as much as possible too!! Really this is a time to Pray, Pray, Pray!!!!! But there is a new development since we arranged this novena. Yesterday there was an announcement from Rome: “On Friday 25 March, during the Celebration of Penance at which he will preside at 17.00 in Saint Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The same act, on the same day, will be carried out in Fatima by His Eminence Cardinal Krajewski, Apostolic Almoner, as envoy of the Holy Father.” https://press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/it/bollettino/pubblico/2022/03/15/0177/00384.html We know that Our Lady asked for the Consecration of Russia so that the world would have peace through the Fatima seers. This was her wish! And we know that Our Lady in Medjugorje has asked us to help her fulfill what she began in Fatima. Listen to her words: August 25, 1991 “Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun be fully realized. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady said…I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. Maybe now is the opportunity for us to help her to realize her plans begun in Fatima and continued in Medjugorje! Let’s join in prayer over the next nine days, and include some self-renunciation, so that Our Lady’s plans can be realized!! Perhaps we will have peace… Again I suggest that we pray The Angelus often throughout the day, and praying the Rosary as much as possible too!! Really this is a time to Pray, Pray, Pray!!!!! Let us pray that everything Our Lady has begun will be fully realized now!! The Angelus Prayer V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with Thee; Blessed art thou among women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, Now and at the hour of our death. Amen V. Amen. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 15, 2022 Reflection – You are called to Confession…

You are called to Confession… March 15, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! Tomorrow I would like to begin a novena before the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. And today I want to share with you something Fr. Slavko Barbaric wrote about Confession in relation to the Annunciation. It is profound. This is an excerpt from the Book “Give Me Your Wounded Heart”, by Fr. Slavko Barbaric: You are called to Confession On March 25, 1985, the Feast of the Annunciation, Our Lady gave this message through Marija Pavlovic: “Dear Children! Today I wish to call you all to confession, even if you have confessed a few days ago. I wish that you all experience my feast day within yourselves. But you cannot experience it unless you abandon yourselves completely to God. Therefore, I am inviting you all to reconciliation with God!” This is one of the most striking messages in which Our Lady invites us to confession. Viewed in relation to the Feast of the Annunciation, one more thing about confession is clear. Mary is the new Eve. From this great mystery and the reality of the Incarnation, which was dependent upon Mary’s acceptance of the will of God, we discover the deep meaning of confession. Certainly it is no accident that Mary called us all to confession on her feast. This helps us to understand the question: What is confession? Confession is the total and conscious acceptance of God’s will and the renunciation of the world which enslaves and destroys us. It is the acceptance of God’s salvation and light, peace, and love, and the renunciation of the world of darkness, hatred, and unrest. Mary said, “You cannot experience a true celebration of this feast if you do not confess your sins.” It means that you cannot begin a new life if you are not prepared to tell God, “Here I am, Lord ready to do your will.” It is God’s will for us to seek forgiveness for all those areas where we oppose Him and prefer our will to His, and where we are really closer to the old Eve than we are to Mary, the new Eve. Therefore, confession is the moment when we can return to a life without sin and begin to build a new world. It is the moment when we allow God to enter our lives again, when we put Him first in our lives once more. It is also the moment when the old man in us is renewed by the power of Christ’s Incarnation. The more sincere we are in our confessions, and the more regularly we receive the sacrament, the closer we will come to celebrating the true spirit of the Annunciation which Mary, the Mother of all the living and the new Eve, refers to in her message. That celebration is a celebration of life, peace, joy, love and true community between God and man, and men among themselves. The closer we come to living what Mary is really leading us to in this message, the more we will renounce the destructive power of sin. We will become stronger when temptations arise, and we will have less fear and anxiety. In this way we will enter into the glory of being children of God. This is why it is no accident that many pilgrims and priests in Medjugorje confirm that through the sacrament of Confession they have discovered the beauty and significance of the call to conversion, of returning to friendship between God and man. Now the meaning of the ministry of reconciliation which has been given to priests becomes clearer in the eyes of both priests and believers. Surely, there is no ministry from one person to another more beautiful than the ministry of reconciliation. (Father Slavko Barbaric, “Give me your wounded Heart.” p.62-64, Zupni Ured Mdjugorje. 1996) Many saints and theologians have tried to help us understand the huge miracle of Mary’s Immaculate Conception which plays out in the Annunciation. Mary is the great “reset” for humanity. In her “yes” to the Father, she undid Eve’s failure and opened the way for our Salvation through her Son, Jesus. Mary, help us to turn back to God through confession, so that we can help you by saying “yes” to God at every moment of our lives from now on. We thank you, dearest Mother, for being our life, our sweetness and our hope! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 14, 2022 Reflection – Your peace and hope are in God…

You peace and hope are in God… March 14, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! January 25, 2001 “Dear children! Today I call you to renew prayer and fasting with even greater enthusiasm until prayer becomes a joy for you. Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped – wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children: your peace and hope are in God. That is why draw closer to God and put Him in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 11, 2022 Reflection – I am covering you with my mantle…

I am covering you with my mantle… March 11, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! July 2, 2017 “Dear children, Thank you for continuing to respond to my invitations and for gathering here around me, your heavenly mother. I know that you are thinking of me with love and hope. I, too, feel love for all of you, just as my most beloved Son also feels it: He who, through his merciful love, is always sending me to you anew; He who became man; He who was and is God – one and triune; He who suffered in body and soul for your sake; He who made Himself bread to feed your souls and thus to save them. My children, I am teaching you how to be worthy of His love, to direct your thoughts to Him, to live my Son. Apostles of my love, I am covering you with my mantle, because as a mother I desire to protect you. I am imploring you to pray for the whole world. My heart is suffering. Sins are multiplying, they are too numerous. But with the help of those of you who are humble, modest, filled with love, hidden and holy, my heart will triumph. Love my Son above all and the whole world through Him. Never forget that each of your brothers, within himself, carries something precious – the soul. Therefore, my children, love all those who do not know my Son, so that through prayer and the love which comes through prayer, they may become better; that the goodness in them could win; that souls could be saved and have eternal life. My apostles, my children, my Son told you to love one another. May this be inscribed in your hearts and with prayer, try to live that love. Thank you.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022 PS. On Sunday, March 13th, many countries will change to Daylight Savings time. But most of Europe, including Medjugorje, does not change until March 27th. So if your time changes this Sunday, March 13th, remember to tune into the lives programs on Mary TV an hour later than you usually do. For instance, if you usually watch the Evening Rosary at 11:00am it will not start until 12:00pm for the next 2 weeks.

March 10, 2022 Reflection – My Children, pray!

My Children, Pray! March 10, 2022 Dear Family of Mary! September 2, 2019 “Dear children, pray! Pray the Rosary every day – that wreath of flowers which, as a mother, directly connects me with your pains, sufferings, desires, and hopes. Apostles of my love, I am with you through the grace and the love of my Son, and I am asking for prayers of you. The world is in such need of your prayers for souls to be converted. With complete trust, open your hearts to my Son, and in them He will inscribe the summary of His words – which is love. Live in an unbreakable connection with the Most Sacred Heart of my Son. My children, as a mother, I am telling you that it is high time for you to kneel before my Son to acknowledge Him as your God, the center of your life. Offer gifts to Him – that which He most loves – which is love towards neighbor, mercy, and pure hearts. Apostles of my love, many of my children still do not acknowledge my Son as their God; they have not yet come to know His love. But you, with your prayer pronounced from a pure and open heart, by the gifts which you offer to my Son, will make even the hardest hearts open. Apostles of my love, the strength of prayer pronounced from the heart – a powerful prayer full of love – changes the world. Therefore, my children: pray, pray, pray. I am with you. Thank you! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 9, 2022 Reflection – Repent!

Repent! March 9, 2022 St. Frances of Rome Dear Family of Mary! In the first reading for Mass today, we hear about the incredible repentance of the people of Nineveh when Jonah prophesied to them (Jonah 3:1-10)! Even the King of Nineveh repented in sack clothe and ashes! But in the Gospel from Luke 11:29-32, Jesus is amazed that His generation, because they refused to repent at Jesus’ words. It makes you wonder what it could take to bring about even one conversion! Our hearts can be so hard!! Our Lady has called for repentance in her messages, with the same sort of alarm as Jesus had in the Gospel. The people of our day have not been hearing her call and turning to Jesus. It seems that the conversion of even one soul is a bigger miracle than feeding 5000 people with a few loaves and fishes. We are in a very serious time for the world. The real danger is that many souls will not repent and turn to Jesus even now. Let’s listen to Our Lady’s words about repentance. In this message Our Lady speaks of a time in the future when God will bring some kind of judgment upon the world. She was asking for prayer for those who had not converted yet: Thursday, August 15, 1985 (Mirjana) “My angel, pray for unbelievers. People will tear their hair, brother will plead with brother, he will curse his past life lived without God. They will repent, but it will be too late. Now is the time for conversion. I have been exhorting you for the past four years. Pray for them. Invite everyone to pray the Rosary.” In this message Our Lady asks us to turn and repent ourselves, so we will be more pleasing to God: May 2, 2010″Dear children; Today, through me, the good Father calls you to, with your soul filled with love, to set out on a spiritual visitation. Dear children, be filled with grace, sincerely repent for your sins and yearn for the good. Yearn also in the name of those who have not come to know the perfection of the good. You will be more pleasing to God. Thank you.” And in this message, Our Lady makes it very clear that we must repent, turn, and follow her Son, now as never before. We see that even after more than 30 years, many of us had not yet repented and given our lives completely to God: March 2, 2013“Dear children! Anew, in a motherly way, I am calling you not to be of a hard heart. Do not shut your eyes to the warnings which the Heavenly Father sends to you out of love. Do you love Him above all else? Do you repent for having often forgotten that the Heavenly Father, out of His great love, sent his Son to redeem us by the Cross? Do you repent for not yet having accepted the message? My children, do not resist the love of my Son. Do not resist hope and peace. Along with your prayer and fasting, by His cross, my Son will cast away the darkness that wants to surround you and come to rule over you. He will give you the strength for a new life. Living it according to my Son, you will be a blessing and a hope to all those sinners who wander in the darkness of sin. My children, keep vigil. I, as a mother, am keeping vigil with you. I am especially praying and watching over those whom my Son called to be light-bearers and carriers of hope for you – for your shepherds. Thank you.” It seems that in this message Our Lady was trying to prepare us for these days we are in today. Let’s respond to her, even now at this late date. Lent is a time of repentance. May we live this time with seriousness. May we help others to do the same! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 8, 2022 Reflection – Our Father, who art in Heaven…

Our Father, who art in Heaven… March 8, 2022 St. John of God Dear Family of Mary! Today’s Gospel: Jesus said to his disciples: “In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” “This is how you are to pray: Our Father who art in heaven,/hallowed be thy name,/ thy Kingdom come,/ thy will be done,/ on earth as it is in heaven./ Give us this day our daily bread;/ and forgive us our trespasses,/ as we forgive those who trespass against us;/ and lead us not into temptation,/ but deliver us from evil.” If you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.” (Mt 6:7-15) In this Gospel, Jesus tells us exactly how to pray! Exactly! The Our Father is a perfect prayer. And it has been given to us by Jesus, so that we could communicate in the best way possible with His Father. What a gift to us!! What an honor!! We are brought into that perfect relationship with the Father, by the loving hand of the Son. In simple terms, there are truths in the Our Father that will keep us safe for our entire lives: Our Father…this is enough to save us. Jesus tells us to call His Father, our Father. We are being brought into the family. Who art in Heaven…There is a Heaven. The Father is there. We know there is a perfect place awaiting us after death. We have a future. Hallowed be thy name…We should work constantly to proclaim God as our Holy and Powerful Lord. We should always speak His praises! Wouldn’t the world be wonderful is all men hallowed God’s name??? Thy Kingdom come…As we gaze in horror at the condition of all our earthly kingdoms, we call out for God’s Kingdom to come, to replace our earthly kingdoms with His perfect Heavenly Kingdom. We want this with all our hearts… They will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…Our wills have failed us, choosing so badly for ourselves. All earthly powers, by choosing their own wills are creating chaos and sorrow, the world over. We long for God’s will to be done on earth… Give us this day our daily bread…Like children we must live one day at a time, trusting in the providence of our loving Father. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us…Forgiveness is the only road to take on this earth. Our sins and the sins of others, they all must be forgiven. God is the forgiver, and we imitate Him. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil…The devil is our enemy. Keep him far from us, and save us from his machinations. We want to only be Yours… May we live the Our Father all day long. These are the aspirations that should fill our hearts and minds with truth, hope and peace. Our Lady has asked us to grow in our love of the Father. Here is one message; April 2, 2011 “Dear children; With motherly love I desire to open the heart of each of you and to teach you personal unity with the Father. To accept this, you must comprehend that you are important to God and that He is calling you individually. You must comprehend that your prayer is a conversation of a child with the Father; that love is the way by which you must set out – love for God and for your neighbor. That is, my children, the love that has no boundaries. That is the love that emanates from truth and goes to the end. Follow me, my children, so that also others, in recognizing the truth and love in you, may follow you. Thank you.” Let’s pray the Our Father with the wonder of a child, and allow our Father to fill us with His love!! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

March 7, 2022 Reflection – The Whole World!

The Whole World March 7, 2022 Sts. Perpetua and Felicity Dear Family of Mary! On Friday, March 4, I had an experience of the Holy Spirit as we were praying with the Parish as they climbed Cross Mountain, doing the Stations of the Cross. (Here is a link to that video: https://marytv.tv/easter-2022/?smid=iMJ0RMsoiQK&slid=bdDmqFqsqak ) I want to quote my comments about it, given as we prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet directly after the climb: “As we were praying with the parish, going up Krizevic, just now, doing the Stations of the Cross, and then arriving at the Cross, I felt like God would hear our prayers for the whole world…I felt like Our Lady was presenting that prayer to the Father for the sake of the whole world, and that it was for the whole world.” And later during the Daily Rosary I said: “That climb…it was as if the whole world was carried up and offered to God, and that is what He wanted.” The sense I was getting was that Our Lady was now taking all the prayer going on in Medjugorje and magnifying it with her prayer, and then the Holy Spirit would magnify it even more, until it was a powerful stream of prayer going to the Father for the whole world. Truly, it was such a strong experience for me. I just felt the power of that prayer, with its upward movement on the mountain!!! I believe that we have moved into a new stage of God’s plan in Medjugorje. It seems to me that the battle between the Woman and Satan is growing in intensity. And we are called to help her through our prayer united to hers, in Medjugorje. And Mary TV has a role to play, in that we connect Our Lady’s children to Medjugorje in a way that they can pray with her in the final battle. Now, her message of February 25, 2022, is even more powerful and clear to me: February 25, 2022“Dear children! I am with you and we pray together. Help me with prayer, little children, that Satan may not prevail. His power of death, hatred, and fear has visited the earth. Therefore, little children, return to God and to prayer, to fasting and to renunciation, for all those who are downtrodden, poor, and have no voice in this world without God. Little children, if you do not return to God and His Commandments, you do not have a future. That is why He sent me to you to guide you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” May we respond to her call now, today: “I am with you and we pray together. Help me with prayer, little children, that Satan may not prevail.” This is our Mother’s call to us. May we say yes with all our hearts and pray with her now with all our hearts. I encourage everyone to go to Mary TV and pray with us, in one of the many prayer programs we stream live from Medjugorje! Pray with Mary as she leads us in this battle for souls. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022 PS. Announcing special live streaming of prayer from Medjugorje during Lent!
