January 13, 2022 Reflection – For this, that I am here, is His great love!

For this, that I am here, is His great love! January 13, 2022 St. Hilary Dear Family of Mary! March 18, 1996 (Yearly apparition to Mirjana) “Dear children! On this message, which I give you today through my servant, I desire for you to reflect a long time. My children, great is the love of God. Do not close your eyes, do not close your ears, while I repeat to you: Great is his love! Hear my call and my supplication, which I direct to you. Consecrate your heart and make in it the home of the Lord. May he dwell in it forever. My eyes and my heart will be here, even when I will no longer appear. Act in everything as I ask you and lead you to the Lord. Do not reject from yourself the name of God, that you may not be rejected. Accept my messages that you may be accepted. Decide, my children, it is the time of decision. Be of just and innocent heart that I may lead you to your Father, for this, that I am here, is His great love. Thank you for being here!” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022 PS. After praying with this message, I realize anew how important Medjugorje is. May the flame of your heart, Oh Mary, Descend upon all peoples. We love you immensely. Impress in our hearts a true love. May our hearts yearn for you. Oh Mary, sweet and humble of heart, Remember us when we sin. You know that all mankind are sinners. Through your most sacred and maternal heart, Cure us from every spiritual illness. January 11, 2022 Reflection – Put God in the first place in your life…

Put God in the first place in your life…   January 11, 2022 Dear Family of Mary Fear of the Lord is glory and splendor, gladness and a festive crown. Fear of the Lord warms the heart, giving gladness and joy and length of days. He who fears the Lord will have a happy end; even on the day of his death he will be blessed. The beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord, which is formed with the faithful in the womb. With devoted men was she created from of old, and with their children her beneficence abides. Fullness of wisdom is fear of the Lord; she inebriates men with her fruits. Her entire house she fills with choice foods, her granaries with her harvest. Wisdom’s garland is fear of the Lord, with blossoms of peace and perfect health. Knowledge and full understanding she showers down; she heightens the glory of those who possess her. The root of wisdom is fear of the Lord; her branches are length of days. (Sirach 1: 11-29) Yesterday, in the Office of Readings, we read this passage from Sirach 1, all about wisdom. But I noticed that there was a phrase repeated in the reading that has always interested and puzzled me. It is “Fear of the Lord”. We know that this fear is a holy fear, a righteous fear, and good fear. But still it is fear. And so as I was praying about it, I asked Our Lady if she has ever spoken about the Fear of the Lord in her messages. And she reminded me of another phrase that she has used many times, “Put God in the first place in your life.” We have heard her say that many times. It is a favorite with her. Here is one message: February 25, 2005 “Dear children! Today I call you to be my extended hands in this world that puts God in the last place. You, little children, put God in the first place in your life. God will bless you and give you strength to bear witness to Him, the God of love and peace. I am with you and intercede for all of you. Little children, do not forget that I love you with a tender love. Thank you for having responded to my call.” And as I thought about it, I realized that putting God in the first place in our lives is the practical manifestation of Fear of the Lord. Fear of the Lord is the healthy and honest demonstration of who God is and what we owe Him. God is our Creator, Lord, King, Master, Teacher, Savior, and Father. He is everything powerful and good and trustworthy to us. The right response to that is to “Put God in the first place in our lives!” And so I went back to the reading from Sirach and replaced the words, “Fear of the Lord” with “Putting God in the first place in our life” and read the passage, and wow it came alive for me. See what you think: Putting God in the first place in your life is glory and splendor, gladness and a festive crown. Putting God in the first place in your life warms the heart, giving gladness and joy and length of days. He who puts God in the first place in his life will have a happy end; even on the day of his death he will be blessed. The beginning of wisdom is putting God in the first place in your life, which is formed with the faithful in the womb. With devoted men was she created from of old, and with their children her beneficence abides. Fullness of wisdom is in putting God in the first place in your life, she inebriates men with her fruits. Her entire house she fills with choice foods, her granaries with her harvest. Wisdom’s garland is putting God in the first place in your life, with blossoms of peace and perfect health. Knowledge and full understanding she showers down; she heightens the glory of those who possess her. The root of wisdom is putting God in the first place in your life, her branches are length of days. (Sirach 1: 11-29) Well, all the wonderful gifts and blessings that are described in this passage truly are the fruit of putting God in the first place in our lives, always, constantly, faithfully and with love. He will never fail us. With God in the first place in our lives, we will find our way to Heaven! In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022 PS. January 10, 2022 Reflection – Now is the time for prayer…

Now is the time for prayer… January 10, 2022 Monday, 1st Week in Ordinary Time Dear Family of Mary! There can often be a let down after a major time of celebration in the Church Year. We are back to “ordinary”! That term was given its meaning by the Church! Ordinary is just ‘numbered’. But don’t we feel it as tedious and boring! But, how can our lives be boring when we live each day, each minute with such a wonderful God!!! Our Lady taught us a key to living our ordinary days with God in this message: October 2, 1986“Dear children! Today again I am calling you to pray. You, dear children, are not able to understand how great the value of prayer is as long as you yourselves do not say: ‘now is the time for prayer, now nothing else is important to me, now not one person is important to me but God.’ Dear children, consecrate yourselves to prayer with a special love so that God will be able to render graces back to you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” The key word here is “now”! If we want to actually connect with the Lord in prayer, we have to stay firmly rooted in the “now”. We have to let go of our ponderings and memories, our worries and our fears, and realize that God is with us “now”! He is only and always with us in the “now”! Sister Ruth Burrows, O.C.D., was quoted in the Meditation of the Day, in Magnificat for January 10, 2022. Here is an excerpt of her meditation. It is really helpful in this regard: “We need enlightened eyes of the heart to pierce the disguises, to say “yes, you are my Father” in the now. There is only one point, so to speak, where God is for us, and that is the now. How readily we would escape from the now—into what we think should be, to what may be, to what has been, to what is coming. How much energy and attention we waste worrying over the past, being anxious and doubtful and full of fear for the future. He is with me now, quietly, unobtrusively asking me to receive him, to recognize him. Now, in this one little circumscribed moment, I can say “yes, Father.” Such a poor little “yes”; no grandiose certainties that I will never do this again, never commit that fault again—no dreads and despairs that I cannot be faithful. Only a little “yes” now…. That is to live in my poverty relying only on him to see me through, to enable me to say “yes” —to do what I can’t—be faithful unto death.” Isn’t it so true. Prayer is not really prayer until we stop thinking about the past, the future, etc. and just be with God in the moment. Just say “yes’ to Him now, only now, always now!! I think much of our perplexity would dissipate if we could all pray in this way, as Mother Mary tells us. “…now is the time for prayer, now nothing else is important to me, now not one person is important to me but God.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! January 7, 2022 Reflection – With Jesus, every fear, suffering and pain disappear…

With Jesus, every fear, suffering and pain disappear…   January 7, 2022 St. Raymond of Penafort Dear Family of Mary! This is my last reflection during the Christmas Season, and I want to share one last Christmas message with you all. It is the Christmas message given through Jakov on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020. Though Jakov receives only one message a year, his messages are very poignant and beautiful. Our Lady loves him with a special love, I think, because he was such a little boy when she first came. At any rate let’s take in her words to him that day: Dear children, also today Jesus is here beside you, even when you think that you are alone and that light does not exist in your life. He is here and has never left you or distanced Himself from you. The light of His birth illuminates this world and your life. His Heart is always open towards you, to receive your every pain, every trial, fear and need. His arms are extended towards you, that as a father, He may embrace you and tell you how important you are for Him, how much He loves you and cares for His children. Children, are your hearts open towards Jesus? Have you completely surrendered your life into His hands? Have you accepted Jesus as your father, to whom you can always turn and in Him find consolation and everything you need to live true faith? That is why, my children, surrender your hearts to Jesus and permit Him to begin to rule your lives, because only in this way, will you accept the present and be able to face the world in which you live today. With Jesus, every fear, suffering and pain disappear, because your heart accepts His will and everything that comes into your life. Jesus will give you the faith to accept everything and nothing will distance you from Him — because He firmly holds you by the hand and does not permit for you to distance and lose yourselves in difficult moments — because He has become the Lord of your life. I bless you with my motherly blessing. (December 25, 2020 through Jakov) In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

January 6, 2022 Reflection – You will love and you will not be afraid.

You will love and you will not be afraid… January 6, 2022 St. Andre Bessette Dear Family of Mary! Today is the Feast Day of one of Mary TV’s patrons, St. Andre Bessette. St. Andre has interceded for Mary TV from the very beginning. And his prayers are powerful. Thank you, St. Andre, for your constant and powerful intercession! Please keep it up!!! We have been talking about fear. The antidote to fear is the Love of God. Perfect love casts out fear. And God’s love is the only perfect love. We can count on the love of Jesus, in every circumstance. His love will find a way for us that leads to life. It is a sure bet!! And Our Lady wants us to live on that surety. It is awesome to spend time with even one message, letting Our Lady’s words sink deeply into our hearts and memories. She is drawing us into the life of God, through her guidance and holiness. Ponder her words and receive them with love: January 2, 2012 Dear children; As with motherly concern I look in your hearts, in them I see pain and suffering; I see a wounded past and an incessant search; I see my children who desire to be happy but do not know how. Open yourselves to the Father. That is the way to happiness, the way by which I desire to lead you. God the Father never leaves His children alone, especially not in pain and despair. When you comprehend and accept this, you will be happy. Your search will end. You will love and you will not be afraid. Your life will be hope and truth which is my Son. Thank you. I implore you, pray for those whom my Son has chosen. Do not judge because you will all be judged.” So many of us have come to experience the love of the Father in Medjugorje! There is a deep sense of safety, of hope, and of truth in Our Lady’s village. It is because she is there. And she leads us to her Son, who can heal all our wounds, and take away all our fears. Then we can follow Jesus and Mary to the Father, and help others to do the same. May it be so… In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

January 5, 2022 Reflection – He who prays is not afraid of the future…

He who prays is not afraid of the future… January 5, 2022 St. John Neumann Dear Family of Mary! In prayer I have been feeling called to renounce fear. Our Lady seems to be showing me that fear is a great impediment to grace. If I am embracing fear in my life, I am closing myself off from the love and guidance of Jesus and Mary. They have a plan for each one of us, but if we are encased in our fears, we cannot respond to their call. Fear separates us from God and His plan for our lives. Our Lady has spoken about fear many times. She speaks with great wisdom about fear. Here are 5 messages in which Our Lady spoke about fear and what we should do when fear tries to get control of us. Please take these messages to heart and let Our Mother teach you how to be free of fear. I think the enemy is using fear to subdue humanity. We must be children of the light and of love, not of fear. Maybe you can use these messages for your Rosary today. Read them slowly and let Our Lady’s words into your hearts: December 25, 2018 – “Dear children, on this day of grace, I am calling you to love. Little children, God loves you immeasurably and that is why, little children, full of trust and without looking back and without fear, completely surrender your hearts to Him so that God may fill them with His love. Do not be afraid to believe in His love and mercy, because His love is stronger than every one of your weaknesses and fears. Therefore, my children, full of love in your hearts, trust in Jesus and say your ‘yes’ to Him, because He is the only way which leads you to the Eternal Father.” (Jakov) April 25, 1998  “Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer, to open yourselves to God as a flower opens itself to the rays of the morning sun. Little children, do not be afraid. I am with you and I intercede before God for each of you so that your heart receives the gift of conversion. Only in this way, little children, will you comprehend the importance of grace in these times and God will become nearer to you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” December 25, 2017 “Dear children! Today I am bringing to you my Son Jesus for Him to give you His peace and blessing. I am calling all of you, little children, to live and witness the graces and the gifts which you have received. Do not be afraid. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to be joyful witnesses and people of peace and hope. Thank you for having responded to my call.” January 25, 2001 “Dear children! Today I call you to renew prayer and fasting with even greater enthusiasm until prayer becomes a joy for you. Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped – wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children: your peace and hope are in God. That is why draw closer to God and put Him in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.” October 25, 2021 “Dear children! Return to prayer because he who prays is not afraid of the future; he who prays is open to life and respects the life of others; he who prays, little children, feels the freedom of the children of God and in joy of heart serves for the good for his brother-man. Because God is love and freedom, therefore, little children, when they want to put you in bonds and to use you, it is not from God. Because God loves and gives His peace to every creature; and that is why He sent me to you to help you to grow in holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! January 4, 2022 Reflection – The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus!

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus January 4, 2022 St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Dear Family of Mary! Yesterday was the feast of the Holy Name of Jesus. How beautiful it was to meditate on the Name of Jesus, and realize what a mind-blowing grace it is that we, lowly children, can call upon Jesus using His most Holy Name, any time and any place! We have access to our Savior by His most intimate Name. We should say the Name of Jesus always from our heart, deeply. His Name is our safety and refuge in times of need! And our joy in times of rejoicing. Well, when we prayed for a saint for our Daily Rosary, yesterday, we received this saint: The Sacred Heart of Jesus Celebrated 19 days after Pentecost O Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of eternal life, Your Heart is a glowing furnace of Love. You are my refuge and my sanctuary. – St. Gertrude the Great Pray for those who do not yet know the love of Jesus. I was immediately filled with joy! Why? Because as we were thanking Jesus for His Most Holy Name, He was giving us His Heart! Jesus gave us His Heart!! Isn’t that amazing! Jesus gave us His Sacred Heart!! Our Savior cannot be outdone!! What a depth of love He has for us!!! I found this amazing message from Our Lady, given through Mirjana on September 2, 2019. Our Lady shows us how to respond to the gift of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Let’s pray through this message and let Our Lady teach us: September 2, 2019 Dear children, pray! Pray the Rosary every day – that wreath of flowers which, as a mother, directly connects me with your pains, sufferings, desires, and hopes. Apostles of my love, I am with you through the grace and the love of my Son, and I am asking for prayers of you. The world is in such need of your prayers for souls to be converted. With complete trust, open your hearts to my Son, and in them He will inscribe the summary of His words – which is love. Live in an unbreakable connection with the Most Sacred Heart of my Son. My children, as a mother, I am telling you that it is high time for you to kneel before my Son to acknowledge Him as your God, the center of your life. Offer gifts to Him – that which He most loves – which is love towards neighbor, mercy, and pure hearts. Apostles of my love, many of my children still do not acknowledge my Son as their God; they have not yet come to know His love. But you, with your prayer pronounced from a pure and open heart, by the gifts which you offer to my Son, will make even the hardest hearts open. Apostles of my love, the strength of prayer pronounced from the heart – a powerful prayer full of love – changes the world. Therefore, my children: pray, pray, pray. I am with you. Thank you.” Jesus has given us His Name as our lifeline with Him, and He has given us His Sacred Heart as our source of life and love. Our Lady wants us to have a continuous pipeline of grace, open and flowing from the Sacred Heart of Jesus to our hearts, so that we can help others to come to know Him. It has never been more necessary. As she said: Live in an unbreakable connection with the Most Sacred Heart of my Son. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Cathy Nolan (c)Mary TV 2022

January 2, 2022 Update from Denis

January 2, 2022 Feast of the Epiphany Dear Mary TV Shipmates, Family of Our Lady, Queen of Peace: It must have been a shock for the Franciscan Minister General who had come from Italy. Fr. Massimo Fusarelli, OFM, the Franciscan Minister General had come to Medjugorje from Rome to preside at the parish’s January 1, 2022, Midnight Mass. The line of nearly 100 priests, who processed into Church with him, had to make its way through the crowds standing in the cold surrounding the church. There was no more room inside. The church had been packed for hours. In contrast, Marija told Fr Livio, during their discussion on the message for December 25, her experience of attending Mass in Italy the week before: “On Christmas day, I got very sad because at Mass (in Italy) there was only one family with children and the church was with very few faithful.”  See their full discussion of her December 25th apparition at: https://marytv.tv/december-25-2021-marija-speaks-about-our-ladys-message/ Italy may be struggling, but the faith is very much alive in Medjugorje, as Fr. Fusarelli witnessed on New Year’s Eve. Trying to squeeze into an already packed St. James Church is not an unusual occurrence. I remember 25 years ago trying to squeeze in, but I could only get one foot inside…people were packed shoulder to shoulder. I said my “Good–by” to Jesus and then went to pack. I had to catch a cab to Dubrovnik for an early flight home. After arriving home, I decided to stop at St. Matthew’s Cathedral for the 5:15 pm Mass. I was surprised to find the Bishop officiating. It was a big diocesan celebration. The Knights of Columbus lined the isles…. As I knelt during Adoration after Mass I heard in front of me, “click, click, click.”  Opening my eyes, I discovered it was a South Bend Tribune photographer. He would stop and look around the Cathedral, and then turn back to me and resume clicking away.   Then, looking around myself, I saw there were only a handful of people in the Cathedral. I was the youngest person there. And I was the only one kneeling. I was the only shot the photographer had! Sure enough, I was the only picture for that story in the South Bend Tribune the next day! Where were the faithful?Eight years later Bishop Domenico Pecile, the Vicar of St John Lateran Basilica, the Pope’s Cathedral in Rome, testified: “In Medjugorje Our Lady is coming in a very powerful way… It is impossible not to see here the Lord our God. Impossible! In all our churches throughout the world, it should be as it is here in Medjugorje!” Ivan once described Our Lady this way: “In Our Lady’s voice, there is no fear, no threat, no pessimism, no anxiety. Her words bring us the sound and voice of God and his peace. She sees very well the conditions of the world and what conditions we are living in. She sees very well the crises of the church, of the family, of the youth.  But she also sees very well the source of peace and how mankind can come to this peace. “Our Lady wishes to guide us through peace to God, to a condition in which we have only peace through God. Therefore, let us allow Him to have the initiative in our lives. May Jesus have the initiative in our lives. Because it is more important what He is doing within us than what we are doing.  Allow Him and His love to touch our hearts and to touch our lives with His peace, to speak through our lives, our words, and our actions.” Our Lady leads us into a living relationship with her Son, Jesus. It is vital that we follow her to him in these days. The Church is in such need of this guidance. Marija said what we received when Our Lady and the Baby Jesus appeared to her on December 25th is a blessing of peace “not only for us, our families, but also for all those we will meet.” (Again, see her discussion with Fr. Livio on Mary TV’s web page, the link is above) “It is more important what He is doing within us!” Our Lady’s children are being given something incredible through her continued daily apparitions. Let’s stay very, very close to the Gospa of Medjugorje, the real living breathing Blessed Mother here with us. She alone has the promise of victory over Satan. If we don’t let go of her hand, blessings will go out through us to the whole world. “Rejoice, little children, because God is merciful and loves you all with His immeasurable love and leads you to the way of salvation through my coming here!”  Our Lady of Medjugorje – June 25, 2018 God bless you! January 3, 2022 Reflection, The Holy Name of Jesus!

Confidence in the name of Jesus! January 3, 2022 The Most Holy Name of Jesus Dear Family of Mary! On the first day after the Feast of Epiphany, still within the time of Christmas, we honor the Name of Jesus! Indeed we should marvel that we have been given access to this most powerful and glorious Name! For it is the Name of our Savior, our God, our King, our Deliverer. No other name on earth can overcome the Name of Jesus! And yet we can call on Him simply and at every moment, by His most beautiful Name! We, poor sinners, can reach out to Him, simply by saying His Name and He will come to us! Is it not amazing! Many years ago, Our Lady spoke to Jelena about Jesus, and how important it is to speak to Him: Sunday, October 30, 1983 To Jelena: “Why do you not put your trust in me? I know that you have been praying for a long time, but really, surrender yourself. Abandon your concerns to Jesus. Listen to what He says in the Gospel: ‘And who among you, through his anxiety, is able to add a single cubit, to the length of his life’ (Mt. 6:27). Pray also, in the evening when you have finished your day. Sit down in your room, and say to Jesus: ‘Thank you.’ If in the evening you fall asleep in peace, and in prayer, in the morning you will wake up thinking of Jesus. You will then be able to pray for peace, but if you fall asleep in distraction, the day after will be misty, and you will forget even to pray that day.” We need to surround ourselves with prayer, with the Name of Jesus! He will be our peace and our strength. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus… Let’s pray this Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus today with great reverence and confidence in Jesus! Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us. Jesus, hear us. Jesus, graciously hear us. God the Father of heaven, have mercy on us.
