Tomorrow is the Annunciation of the Lord!!   March 24, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Tomorrow is a very special feast day! The Annunciation of the Lord! This miraculous event, filled with meaning and more so with salvation, is the pivot of all history! Since Creation there has been nothing more powerful and merciful than the Annunciation! God created our universe and our tiny little planet and filled that universe and that planet with amazing stuff. Topped with the gift of life, and especially the gift of human life, this creation was a huge blast of mercy and love! But we fell, trusting more the words of Satan than the Word of God. And since then we have had a hard road back to our God. But on the feast tomorrow we will see the mighty and endless mercy of God display itself in a very private and hidden conversation between a holy maiden and an archangel. This conversation will result in an unheard of act of mercy, God will become man!!! Here is that conversation, our Gospel for tomorrow. It is worth reading and praying over many times! A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke 1:26-38: The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.” But she was ­greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end.” But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called ­barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her. The Gospel of the Lord. On this greatest of feasts, we will stand in silence and wonder, in gratitude and hope, because our sorry plight was changed and the gulf between God and Man was mended!! Today I was able to go to the Risen Christ Statue and pray for all of you shipmates. The tears of love that flow from the knees of Jesus were abundant!! I felt such love from Jesus and Mary!! I do feel that all of you shipmates are being carried in our hearts on this pilgrimage. And the love I am receiving from the Lord and Our Lady is for all of you!!! God bless you all! Denis and I went to the Risen Christ Statue yesterday (March 23) and prayed for all of you. The tears that fall from the knees of Jesus were flowing! It was very moving. Jesus loves you all so very much! We must never doubt how much Jesus and Mary love us!!  

Learn to listen to my Son   March 23, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady gave us a wonderful message through Mirjana on March 18th: March 18, 2023 “Dear children, I am calling you, through prayer and mercy, to come to know my Son all the better; to learn to listen with a pure and open heart; to listen to what my Son is saying to you in order to come to see spiritually. That, as one people of God in communion with my Son, you may bear witness to the truth with your life. Pray, my children, that, together with my Son, you can bring only peace, joy and love to all your brothers and sisters. I am with you and am blessing you with a motherly blessing.” Our Lady calls us to learn to listen. We humans have the capacity to listen! We have ears that take sounds and send them to our brains where we can receive and organize those sounds into words or music or the activity around us. These sounds help us to understand and interface with our surroundings. It is an incredible gift. But we also need to have spiritual ears, that can receive Jesus’ words to us, His guidance, His teaching, His truth, His love. Those spiritual ears are the ears of our hearts. And they also need to be trained to hear, just as our physical ears (with our brains) have learned to hear earthly sounds. And so Our Lady has been helping us to hear Jesus, to hear His words to us, through her messages and through prayer and mercy which make us receptive to Jesus’ words. She needs us to hear Jesus on all levels of our lives, so that we can help all those around us to find Him and learn to love Him as well. I find that my spiritual ears are enhanced when I am in Medjugorje. Heaven is so near, so tangible, that hearing Jesus is not so hard. May we all find our spiritual ears and really use them!! Denis and I are so very grateful to be here in Medjugorje. Today again we received so much love and grace. We walked back to the building site this morning. The pictures below show the foundations and walls, well prepared for the next steps in construction. The picture above is of a beautiful statue of Our Lady that is displayed on the little road which leads to our building site. It is as if she is inviting all to come and see what she is building here!! I have always loved this statue and I am thrilled that it is so near our building site. A little gift from Mother Mary!! Denis and Franjo inspect the progress of the New Studio in Medjugorje!   March 22, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! I am sorry I have not been able to send out a reflection for Monday or Tuesday of this week. Denis and I have been traveling to Medjugorje! We arrived on Monday, March 20, in the late evening. And we haven’t really stopped since we hit the ground!! Thank you for your prayers! I hope now to be able to give you little snippets of our pilgrimage. There is no place on earth like Medjugorje! Peace, peace, peace!! Today we went to English Mass at 10:00 am! There are many English speaking pilgrims here. Praying together at Mass is just wondrous! Then we worked at the Mary TV studio in preparation for the streaming of Divine Mercy and The Daily Rosary here with our wonderful team members: Mario, Tony and Marin! After the Daily Rosary, we scooted off to Marija Pavlovic Lunetti’s home for the apparition!!! What an incredible gift it was for Denis and me. We felt like Our Lady was giving us a hello hug! After the apparition, Marija said that Our Lady blessed us and prayed for our intentions. And since the war between Ukraine and Russia began, she has prayed for peace in a special way. We prayed with her for peace in our hearts, peace in our families and peace in our world. Our Lady blessed us and gazed at us all, including Fr. Leon, who was present and whose birthday is today. Then Marija led us in singing “Happy Birthday to Fr. Leon!” Denis and I offered up all of you shipmates, during the apparition.     March 18, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today Our Lady appeared to Mirjana Soldo, for her annual apparition. Our Lady gave her a message for us. Here is the posting from the parish website: The visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24th 1981 to December 25th 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that she would appear to her once a year, on the 18th of March. It has been this way through the years. The apparition lasted from 13:33 to 13:39. ”Dear children, I am calling you, through prayer and mercy, to come to know my Son all the better; to learn to listen with a pure and open heart; to listen to what my Son is saying to you in order to come to see spiritually.   The Strength to be God’s Children!   March 17, 2023 St. Patrick Dear Family of Mary! Our Lady calls us to be strong. She has urged us to strength in many messages! Take this one: October 25, 2013 “Dear children! Today I call you to open yourselves to prayer. Prayer works miracles in you and through you. Therefore, little children, in the simplicity of heart seek of the Most High to give you the strength to be God’s children and for Satan not to shake you like the wind shakes the branches. Little children, decide for God anew and seek only His will, and then you will find joy and peace in Him. Thank you for having responded to my call.” Our Lady wants us to be firm in purpose and faith. We must build our spiritual muscles through prayer and fasting and the Sacraments. We are in a battle for our salvation and the salvation of so many others in our care. We can’t afford to lose any ground. But as she tells us: “Therefore, little children, in the simplicity of heart seek of the Most High to give you the strength to be God’s children and for Satan not to shake you like the wind shakes the branches.” We need to ask God to give us the strength we need!! We can’t do it without Him. On this Feast of St. Patrick, let’s pray the Lorica! It is a passionate prayer that calls all Christians to stir up their faith and through the strength of God stand against our enemy, Satan. St. Patrick knew how to ask God for strength!! Jesus in the Eucharist is the Center of our Lives!   March 16, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Jesus in the Eucharist must be the center of our lives. This is the foundation of everything we believe and do. Our Lady is with us to establish this deep connection with Jesus in the Eucharist in our hearts: June 2, 2012 “Dear children, I am continuously among you because, with my endless love, I desire to show you the door of Heaven. I desire to tell you how it is opened: through goodness, mercy, love and peace – through my Son. Therefore, my children, do not waste time on vanities. Only knowledge of the love of my Son can save you. Through that salvific love and the Holy Spirit He chose me and I, together with Him, am choosing you to be apostles of His love and will. My children, great is the responsibility upon you. I desire that by your example you help sinners regain their sight, enrich their poor souls and bring them back into my embrace. Therefore, pray, pray, fast and confess regularly. If receiving my Son in the Eucharist is the center of your life then do not be afraid, you can do everything. I am with you. Every day I pray for the shepherds and I expect the same of you. Because, my children, without their guidance and strengthening through their blessing, you cannot do it. May the Commandments of God be a light on your way…   March 15, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! “Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.” (Mt 5:17-19) During Lent we find ourselves examining our consciences more often. It is a good practice that we should carry out all year long. But at least in Lent we try to take stock of our behavior and clean up our act!! This Gospel should sober us up! The commandments are to be lived! They help us to stay the course in a world run amok. God created us. He should know what will make us happy and at peace. Our Lady has called us many times to live God’s Commandments. She wants us to be happy on earth and headed to towards Heaven. The Commandments are our road map. Listen to her words about the commandments, and drink in her wisdom: February 25, 2018 “Dear children! In this time of grace I am calling all of you to open yourselves and to live the commandments which God has given you, that they may lead you through the Sacraments on the way of conversion. The world and worldly temptations are testing you, but you, little children, look at God’s creatures which He has given to you in beauty and humility and, little children, love God above everything and He will lead you on the way of salvation. Thank you for having responded to my call.” July 25, 2018 “Dear children! God called me to lead you to Him because He is your strength. That is why I am calling you to pray to Him and to trust in Him, because He is your refuge from every evil that lurks and carries souls far from the grace and joy to which you are all called. Little children, live Heaven here on earth so that it will be good for you; and may the commandments of God be a light on your way. I am with you and I love you all with my motherly love. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the spirit. I am calling you to return to God and to God’s Commandments that it may be good for you on earth, and that you may come out of this crisis into which you have entered because you are not listening to God who loves you and desires to save you and lead you to a new life. Not seven times, but seventy-seven times…   March 14, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! “Peter approached Jesus and asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.” (Mt 18:21-23) Forgiveness is one of the hardest things to do. It is really hard to ask for forgiveness, because we have to humble ourselves and admit our wrongdoing. Our pride is replaced by humiliation. It sounds awful when we say it that way. But it is really the best thing we could ever do! Asking forgiveness is the moment of resurrection for our souls, when relationships are healed and our pride is left behind. And when we forgive someone, it is almost like we are giving them new life! God places that power in our hands, when we forgive and ask for forgiveness. It is a miracle really. Our Lady has regularly taught us about forgiveness. She knows the super abundance of grace that accompanies forgiveness: June 2, 2019 “Dear children, only a pure and an open heart will make it such that you may truly come to know my Son and that all those who do not know His love may come to know it through you. Only love will make you comprehend that it is stronger than death because true love conquered death and made it so that death not exist. My children, forgiveness is the most exalted form of love. You, as apostles of my love, must pray that you be strong in spirit and that you could comprehend and forgive. You, apostles of my love, by understanding and forgiveness, are giving an example of love and mercy. To be able to comprehend and forgive is a gift for which it is necessary to pray, and to nurture it. By forgiveness you are showing that you know how to love. Just look, my children, how the Heavenly Father loves you with a great love, with understanding, forgiveness and justice – how He gives me, the Mother of your hearts, to you. And here I am among you to bless you with a motherly blessing, to call you to prayer, to fasting – to tell you to believe, to hope, to forgive, to pray for your shepherds, and above all to love without limits. Intensify your personal prayer… March 13, 2023 Dear Family of Mary! Today I want to return to Our Lady’s call to us: February 25, 2023 “Dear children! Keep converting and clothe yourselves in penitential garments and in personal, deep prayer…” Our Lady gave some very direct advice about personal prayer in the 80’s. I think her simple words will help us to decide for personal, deep prayer in these decisive days: Thursday, November 17, 1983 (To Jelena):“Pray! If I always ask you to pray, do not think that your prayers are not good. But I invite you to prolong your personal prayer, to pray more intensely for the others.” Holy Thursday, April 19, 1984 (to Jelena):“I’m going to reveal a spiritual secret to you: if you want to be stronger than evil, make yourself a plan of personal prayer. Take a certain time in the morning, read a text from Holy Scripture, anchor the Divine word in your heart, and strive to live it during the day, particularly during the moment of trials. In this way, you will be stronger than evil.” Saturday, November 17, 1984 (To Jelena):”Pray. Do not ask yourself about the reason why I constantly invite you to prayer. Intensify your personal prayer so that it will become a channel for the others.” February 25, 1991 “Dear children! Today, I invite you to decide for God, because distance from god is the fruit of the lack of peace in your hearts. God is only peace. Therefore, approach Him through your personal prayer and then live peace in your hearts and in this way peace will flow from your hearts like a river into the whole world. Do not talk about peace, but make peace. I am blessing each of you and each good decision of yours. Thank you for having responded to my call.” In this time of spiritual warfare, we cannot afford to let our personal prayer slacken. We will only be part of the victory of Heaven, if we are connected to Heaven now, through prayer. God needs us. Our Lady needs us. Our families need us.
